The hotel was in a good location, the staff was super nice, and the room was good quality. However, the shower had black mold in the corners and obviously was not being cleaned regularly or properly. The hotel itself was nice but I don’t think the rooms are being cleaned very well.

The room is extremely small, no closet or drawers to put clothes in. The water took a long time to get hot, had to take a quick shower. Water didn’t stay warm for long. About five inches between beds and had to take a high step to get on the bed. Extremely disappointed.

I enjoyed the way the room was set up. Although the place is very small there is no closet, no fridge, not much room for a luggage. So this was kind of a con. But it was nice that the room service came by everyday to replace towels, and add toilet paper. They respected our items which is nice and commendable. Overall enjoyed our stay there.

My stay in new york LES

It was a decent place. But a bit to expensive for 1 night and at an area where theres not much of a convenience. But over it eas grate and away from the touristy area.

This hotel is in Chinatown, We felt safe. It is close to a subway station. I shared my room with my 2 adult daughters. It is a good place to stay for the price and I would stay there again. Here are my pros and cons. Pros: clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed, nice staff, held our bags after checkout. Good view from the roof top. Cons: Small room and bathroom but worked for us since we were only in room to to sleep and shower. It is close to the subway so it is a little noisy but we slept great both nights.

Hotel was clean with a modern Euro style compact room. The only two problems were that the subway overpass and toilet both ran constantly !

Really enjoy my stay at the Madison Hotel, good location very convenient and easy to get around.The host was not very friendly but overall everything was good, the cleaning staff was very helpful.

Really nice stay. Staff were kind, friendly and took care of our stuff while cleaning the room. The trams across the bridge were a bit noisy at night but having the AC on we couldn't hear it. Subway entrance nearby was really handy and only took 3 minutes on foot with suitcases and about 80 minutes to get from JFK to the hotel. Room, bathroom, halls, elevator and lobby were really clean and provided body wash, shampoo and conditioner was appreciated. My nitpicks for improvements: Breakfast was fairly basic but good enough to start a busy day. Shower curtain could be a bit longer to prevent water spilling over the edge. A rug on the hard floor would be nice when it is cold. I would highly recommend to others staying. We hope to come back soon!

Everything we needed!

This hotel had everything we were needing. The breakfast was sufficient and bus/subway are convenient to the property. The rooms were a little small but they made up for the space with amenities such as slippers, canvas laundry bag, and luxury shampoo and soaps.

The front desk person was so rude and didn’t appreciate that!

I enjoyed the area. It was quiet and laid back. The hotel had a terrace with a nice view of the Manhattan Bridge. The F train is a block away which made our traveling so easy. I liked Madison Les a lot and plan on staying there again.

A nice property priced well for NYC and close to many great landmarks, near transit stops.

The property was close to the subway and I felt safe in the area at night. The room was clean but extremely small. We barely fit 3 people. I wish there was more furniture to store your items just one night stand so everything went on the floor, no closet. It’s a very small room but another table would have really helped. I did enjoy the free breakfast which was the basics. The front desk was fine. Would recommend for budget travelers.

Tiny room, hotel located under train bridge so crazy noisy rooms on that side, which they don't warn you about. Charged a large surplus to switch to a room that didn't keep us up all night. Should be more open and helpful

Muppets take Manhattan

The place was generally nice, good location, easy access to buses and subway. The rooms were a little noisy from the train line and traffic, but it is Manhattan. A little noise coming from adjoining rooms and the housekeeping was a bit hit and miss. Overall though, I would recommend and I would stay there again.

Perfect location

The staff was lovely, especially the young girl at the front desk. Made for a great experience in NYC for the first time. Breakfast was a bit lacking, but otherwise everything was great.

What a lovely little hotel! I was worried about the noise of the bridge right behind the hotel, but it was not a problem, and we are light sleepers. The staff were so kind and everything was very clean and pretty. Two blocks from the F subway line. Would absolutely stay there again!

We were staying for a few days to visit family and New York. The room was perfect for 2 it was cleaned every day. The bed was very comfortable so we were very pleased overall.

What a delightful hotel! So cute, clean and convenient. Just a couple block from the F train. Very quiet even though it is next the the train/bridge. I would absolutely stay here again! Very friendly and helpful staff too!

Great small hotel!

Horrible experience! Requested two double beds. Got a room just big enough to accommodate two double mattresses laid side by side on a platform. Platform literally went wall to wall. The only way to get in or out was to crawl up from the bottom of the mattress. As a senior with knee replacements, one of the worst setups imaginable!

The boutique feel and fun area.

Property was decent. I was placed in the first room next to the lobby which was convenient but not desirable due to the traffic and constant noise. Room was clean and shower pressure was great. Complimentary breakfast was mostly bread, two types of fruit, coffee, and muffins.

Location, room, staff very good. Breakfast very mediocre and so I had to make others plans to eat every morning.

Right in the heart of Chinatown and next to Manhattan Bridge with beautiful views of the river from the rooftop terrace. There are also a couple of metro stops within walking distance. Overall, a nice clean place to stay

This was a relatively cheap accommodation option and overall it was pretty good. The only negative thing is that being next to The Manhattan Bridge and having seemingly poor double glazing/soundproofing meant that it was noisy. Despite this I would still rank this hotel as good. Subway transport link for uptown is great!

The room was on ground floor with the subway higher above, so it was quite noisy when trying to sleep. Amenities such as mini fridge was missing.

Close to metro and chinatown. Very convenient to get around town and have good food.

This is a no frills hotel. I chose it due to the proximity to the restaurant we were going to that night. The room was clean, but very small and very basic. Think dorm room vibes. The queen bed was on a platform which took up about half the room and it was pushed against the wall. So only accessible on one side. The mattress was very firm but not uncomfortable. Overall, I wasn’t unhappy with the room. It served its purpose for our one night in the city, but it wouldn’t be a place I’d want to stay at for multiple nights. It’s really just a reasonably priced (by nyc standards) place to sleep.

I had a great stay at Madison LES Hotels. It was my first time in New York. The rooms are just the right size and the dining tables in the basement provide the perfect level of privacy. The showers take a while to get hot but it's not the worst thing. There is no fan in the showers so the washroom can stay humid for a while (and the window does not open). Besides that, everything was fine.

Mostly fine, LAME add on fees

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the Madison LES. It was easily accessible to a subway stop (a short, one block walk away) and it was a fairly quiet area. The beds were very comfortable, and the shower was great (our two musts!) The room is small, and for a family of four we were stepping all over each other. But we did appreciate the small fridge. The free breakfast each morning was a great offering, if a little chintzy. (Eggo waffles, meh….) but hey, it was free. The rooftop terrace was a fun surprise and has a great view! Our only real complaint / annoyance is that they nickel and dime you for kind of ridiculous things. We arrived quite early, on a red eye flight, and while we certainly didn’t expect our room to be ready, we were surprised that they said we could check in then and there (about 10:00 am) for $90. Whoa!!! So you had a room ready?? Or we could check in at noon for $75. No thanks. They kept our bags in their “bell stand” (behind the front desk—they did not think this through when planning their layout!!) We checked in at 3:00 to avoid these lame charges. When we left, we asked for our bags to be stored so we could walk the nearby Brooklyn Bridge, and suddenly there was a fee to hold our backpacks (we each had one, along with our suitcases). Which is so stupid, because they can clip on to our suitcases. The girl at the front desk said it would be $5 per backpack, which seemed totally made up since they said nothing about that when we checked in. Stupid!!

I was jn the City for a concert on the pier 36, picked the place because it was close to the event. The hotel was clean, the bathroom was way bigger than I expected. The proximity to Chinatown was plus. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice stay

Helpful staff, clean, okay breakfast but we were happy as there was option to fill water (hot, room temp or cold) in our bottles. Room was clean. Quite small for 4 of us but we just used it for sleeping so did the job. Train station was 6 mins walk and convenience stores were nearby.

This hotel was beautiful and well worth the stay. I’d stay here again on a visit in the future. The rooms were clean and comfortable. All the necessary amenities were available, such as: a refrigerator, a microwave, a blow dryer. The shower was tricky to turn on, but we discovered it was just a pull of the bottom faucet and there were no issues after that. It was located in a great area close to Chinatown and Little Italy. The available restaurants around the hotel were great. Staff wasn’t very welcoming but that might just be a cultural thing, New York isn’t known for kindness. If you stay here go to the 7th floor and order delivery from a local restaurant to take the time to dine on the roof. It’s doesn’t have the Manhattan over extravagant look, but it’s simply beautiful with a nice view of the Manhattan Bridge.

The room smelled horrible and one side of the blanket did not have duvet covers. We had to ask for some duvet covers and put it on ourselves. We were concerned about the cleanliness of the whole room and we were disappointed in the gym which only had 3 machines. The room was super small. Breakfast was very simple.

The hotel is located in noisy neighborhoob the have no parking for guest i had to park in the street with no security. The room has no space to move around to the bathroom.

For what we paid and for a night it was great. Staff was nice and attentive, breakfast was included and fine for what it was. We were able to get to places easily.

The service is very rude, the gym has like only 2 thread mills and that is locked as well. They didn't even share me the details sheet, nor the lady at the reception told me any details about how to access the building, when the breakfast is served or how to navigate (if they had any facilities). Very terrible and rude customer service, I never understand, why would anyone want to work in customer service sector if they are so rude, better find some individual contributor roles, where they will have min ppl interaction.

The staff were incredibly nice and the location was perfect. A subtle hidden gem

The Hotel is really nice and close to restaurantes and bars. Also close to the 2 bridges to get some nice pictures. The deco is nice and modern. The only issue is that the rooms are really tiny. Not too much soace to move when 4 people stays in the same room.

We needed a place to stay near the Brooklyn Bridge and LES was a great solution. The room was clean and staff were friendly and the breakfast was a nice touch.

Cute hotel. Decent area! Couple blocks from the subway for location. Hotel let us drop our bags off early until we checked in and 1 hour late check out with no charge. The room was cute. TV remote barely worked, but not a huge deal since we were only there for one night.

The room was clean and well kept. It was a bit noisy from some people talking in the hallway at times due to thin walls but overall I had a nice, cozy stay.

Breakfast was very basic. Room and bathroom were tiny but it's New York. The hotel itself wasn't really close to anything we wanted to do (poor planning on my part) The hotel was affordable which was a plus.

New york city break

Hotel was a good location for the south side of New york just under Manhattan Bridge. Hotel was clean, family room was small but workable had everything needed for a busy city break. Receptionists were a little off, not very personable and when asked it was as if you were causing a disturbance to their day. Beakfast was basic but gave u an ok start to the day.

To be bluntly honest, this place represents the quintessence of New York accommodation...it is expensive for what it offers, then contrary to what you can see in the pictures shown on the internet, the rooms are very small... I mean VERY small ( there are 2 beds separated by maybe 2 feet) and last but not least, the included breakfast it is very poor in options. If you get there with your own car, prepare to pay anything but cheap for the parking in the near by. The check in at the time I write this review is at 15.00 o'clock and if you get there sooner, you have to pay extra for early access to your room (optional...if not, you can wait). But then again, who goes to NYC as a tourist to stay in a hotel or eat there?! On the good side, it is clear, surprisingly quiet considering the close proximity of the train that crosses Manhattan bridge, it's in China Town in easily walkable distance to the Financial district, to One World Trade Center and the 9/11 museum, Brooklyn bridge ... bottom line there are many many things to see and visit in a relatively close vicinity. As expected, plenty of subway stations close to the hotel, so you can move around easily.

Small but nice

We enjoyed the location a few blocks from Little Italy and close to Battery Park. Staff was not very friendly. We had breakfast included but we missed it because we were not given information about it

First of all, i was treated differently and disrespectfully because i am black. I was asked to leave my passport at the front desk for incidentals, all my life traveling i never experienced this type of discrimination. I was in New York for a conference and i was so discouraged. From my arrival it was very disrespectful. Even checking out i had to wait for them to check the room to see if i steal anything only because im black. I have a video of white persons who came and just submitted their cards and left, i had to stand until they checked my room for approval. I was so humiliated. Black people stay away. I want back my money because i did not enjoy my stay. I live in Jamaica and i will get my lawyer on this. Discrimination because of my colour!!!!

The rooms were small but it is perfect since we spent 13+ hours out of the hotel daily. It was very hot in the city when we were there and the AC struggled to cool the room. I would recommend if you are looking for a cheap clean place to lay your head in NY.

The cleanness was ok, but the space too limited and almost no furniture to hung or place clothes. The area was very depressing. Breakfast was really bad in quality and variety.

Pros: The hotel was nice in appearance. The room was big. We had 3 beds. The rooftop balcony was nice. The location was near the subway entrance which was good. They held our bags for us before check in time. The mirrors in the elevator were awesome. It was surprisingly quiet with the train running right next door. Cons: The toilet lever was not secure, so it didn’t flush properly. I had to either take the top off and lift the inner plastic thingamagig, or pull the handle out and push it downward to get it to flush. I hope they don’t try and charge me for that. I took a picture and video to prove we didn’t damage it. One television worked but it was difficult to figure out the volume control, and the other television turned on, but did not play any channels. The breakfast was very basic, and the creamer I used was expired. A laundry facility would have been nice.
