Location.

This is one of the nicest, if not thee nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. I’m a design snob, and the aesthetics and details were amazing. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming, kind and treat you like family. No one acts snobby, just kind and ready to help. If I could give this 10 stars I would. I’ll never stay anywhere else in Rome. Stop searching and book. You’ll thank me later.

Breafast exceptional. This hotel exceeded all our expectations. The staff made our stay one of the best ever. They made us feel as if we were the most importantly people thete which is rare to find.

Staff were very communicative and responsive and the hotel itself was beautiful. The air conditioning was fantastic which is tough to find when traveling in Europe. One kind man at reception noticed my 8 year old son playing chess and chatted to him about it, which was very sweet. Only off thing is that the day after we checked in, the hotel searched me and viewed my profile on LinkedIn?? I have never had this happen and it felt intrusive and a bit creepy to me. Why would they be curious about me enough to actually google me the morning after I checked in? Knowing they searched me put an odd cloud over my stay, which was a bummer since everything else was great.

Service was outstanding. Their personal attention contributed to an excellent experience and was well beyond what I have experienced at larger hotels.

It’s a gorgeous boutique luxury hotel steps from the Trevi fountain. The staff couldn’t be any more professional they were absolutely wonderful. The breakfast is excellent as well. Clean and modern but with all the charm you could want in Rome. It’s an outstanding property.

We have been to this establishment 5 or 6 times . Never have they let us down.It is relatively easy to be good once but delivering consistently a high Service level is rare. Love this place!!!!!

Amazing!

This was the absolute best stay I’ve ever had in Rome. The staff were amazing, Had a bit of a mixup at check-in however they made up for that tenfold. shout out to the best bartender in the business… I’ve stayed here twice and I will definitely make it a third in the fall. Looking for to the future stay and the lovely staff.

Great location and staff

Extremely comfortable hotel just a few minutes from the Trevi fountain and walking distance to all the main sites. Helpful and attentive service with good food if you want to dine in the hotel, and a nice at table breakfast selection (especially helpful as my son is a fussy eater especially for breakfast). Would be my go to choice next time I am in Rome

Hidden gem in Roma

I booked this hotel as a surprise for my husband, on the weekend of a 6 nations game in Roma. From the moment we arrived til when we left the following day, it was an absolute delight. The staff was really friendly and helpful. All the goodies from the pastries from the Chef were also so tempting. The breakfast was out of this world, and definitely had an Italian touch. So refreshing, compared to your traditional “continental” breakfast. The room was lovely, but not only. The renovations were done exquisitely. I might be biased as I am a sucker for architecture and bold vibrant interiors. If you are into boutique niche hotels, you will love this place. We will definitely treat ourselves to another stay and for longer. Almost forgot to mention: you must try the cocktails in the evening as well 🙃

Good stay and local to a lot, just the in room food service wasn’t there. It was said the food was prepared that evening, but the lasagne we received seems to be reheat via microwave. Great atmosphere and staff though, makes up for the food. :)

Best Small Luxury Hotel in Rome

Everything about the hotel is excellent, especially the staff. We particularly love the spacious toilet & bath. The generous gesture of FREE daily replenishment of the drinks & snacks of the mini bar created a lasting impression on my wife & I. Maalot oozes with luxury. Its location is unbeatable. It deserves a 6-star rating.

Centrally located, steps away from many Roman attractions, however that made for a very busy entrance. Once inside, that melts away as it is quiet and intimate. The staff are extremely attentive, the hotel is beautiful and clean, and the restaurant is great. Would absolutely stay here again!

Staff showed great attention to detail. It’s a fun quirky boutique hotel in a great location with attentive staff and top quality service. Breakfast is particularly good.

The Maalot is a perfect haven amongst the hustle and bustle of the city. The Junior Suite we had was very attractive and comfortable. It was always immaculate in cleanliness and the provision of free snacks and soft drinks was a real bonus. The continental breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice, including various egg dishes, pancakes, porridge, fruit. The staff were always friendly and attentive. It’s very close to the Trevi Fountain and walkable to the Colosseum but taxis are readily available. I would highly recommend.

Love this hotel. It is quite new and the staff provide impeccable service. The restaurant serves excellent contemporary cuisine. It is located right in he centre of the old town. I will definitely return the next time I am in Rome.

Fist class!!

I stay for almost 10 days with my two kids. The Maalot is first class. Located between the Trevi and Pantheon, which are very busy areas, the Maalot of pure quiet and peace as soon as you walk in. The people and service is excellent, friendly, and warm. It was a home away from home. I will go back happily

Excellent service …..food was great

The location of the Maalot made it very easy for me to find, even with turning off my phone wandering around Rome. The decor, the rooms (cleaning staff also super pleasant) are gorgeous and spacious and modern and very very clean. But its the service & staff that truly makes it shine. I have not encountered such pleasant warm staff (in Europe/UK) that truly made the stay feel so personal, from the front desk staff (Daniella, Eleanor, Fabrizio) to the dining room /breakfast each morning (I've forgotten names already a week later, I'm so sorry). They arranged transport and they would wait for the taxi to help me in. I left and returned and had a bottle of champagne waiting for me to welcome me back and upgraded me to a larger room. Ultimately, it's expensive for sure, but if you're able to splurge and want to truly enjoy a hotel, this is where you should stay. I certainly will again !!

Staff was very helpful

The Hotel Maalot was our “home away from home” for 1 week in Rome. First and foremost, the Hotel Room we stayed in was fabulous, exceptionally clean, comfortable, and spacious. We also loved the staff. Every single member of the Hotel Maalot’s Staff was kind, friendly, and genuinely helpful. The Hotel also had central air conditioning, which was very helpful as we traveled to Rome in late September and it was still 80 degrees Fahrenheit each day. We loved The Hotel Maalot and the breakfast menu was also out of this world. Breakfast was included with our stay and we appreciated being welcomed and greeted by the Hotel staff when we arrived from North America feeling jet lagged and exhausted. The staff is truly compassionate and committed to ensuring each traveler is comfortable, happy, and cared for. This is truly a 5 star hotel even by North American standards and I will be returning as a guest who stays at The Hotel Maalot in the future.

Immaculate, but noisy at night

Everything was absolutely amazing.. besides the noise. If you stay here, definitely don’t let them put you in a room facing the street!! It’s right down the road from Trevi Fountain and it’s so loud with music all night long. The staff was amazing & very attentive. The hotel was immaculate and spotless. Free breakfast was included with the stay, and that was a huge plus because it was hard to find actual breakfast restaurants in time (not just cafes) I would recommend staying here.. just not in a room facing the street!!

It is an extremely well designed and comfortable hotel. The rooms are even nicer and larger than they appear online. The included breakfast was exceptional.

We stayed two nights in early September and I cannot say enough about our experience. Yes, the facility is beautiful and well appointed (delicious breakfast, comfortable bed, large room, snacks, drinks and extensive vanity set) but even more impressive is the staff's overwhelming commitment to excellence. Even and Julian went above and beyond and the rest of the staff went out of their way to ensure stay was perfect in every way. Mille Grazie!

The property was lovely, the staff was incredible. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting Rome.

We arrived late in the evening so the area outside seemed very loud and busy. The hotel itself is lovely and has a witty design feel. Our suite was excellent generally although the WiFi stopped working in the bedroom on the final night. We did call down but they were unable to get it working again.

Beautiful small hotel right in the Centre of Rome, a close walk to all major attractions. Staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Great Hotel, but hotels.command hotel not a team

The hotel & service was excellent in almost every way. I booked thru hotels.com and the hotel said that they needed to collect my payment before check out AGAIN. We tried to explain and we did show a receipt for our pre payment but there was confusion. So we paid in order to check out, then we needed to spend our time trying o get a refund from hotels.com. Hotels.com said the hotel needs to refund….again as a customer we paid 2xs (actually 3 xs as they accidentally ran our credit card 2 xs:). So I am now trying to get a refund which I am being told could be 3 weeks.

I want to keep this hotel a secret but I can't!

We absolutely loved this hotel. The decor, the ambience, the comfort, the cleanliness, the STAFF!!!, the FOOD!!!, the music, the style, the LOCATION!!! Everything was fantastic. We walked everywhere, no taxis required because it was so well located. We tried to find somewhere special to eat but on the second day we realised we were already there. We already miss it.
