The Hotel didn’t have wifi in the room. The conditions were good not great. The staff was the best about the whole experience. The breakfast was bad. The fruit was warm and the coffee was lukewarm. This is not a 5 star hotel so I wasn’t expecting that. It is a good place to stay, the location was everything for us. The good far outweighs The bad. The place is nice. They do a good job of keeping the grounds clean. I would recommend this place and would stay again!

From the moment I arrived later than expected, Alexander, the General Manager, did everything possible to make my stay memorable. He was always available with suggestions, ideas, and help. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. Sol and the rest of the restaurant/bar staff were always available and friendly. Rutilo and the other housekeeping staff were always smiling and available. I would give them all ten stars and, if possible, give Alexander 100!! I look forward to going back soon. Lotus beach hotel is a great place to stay.located on a great beach walkable to many restaurants and different beach clubs! The beach club that’s on site guru is nice. The staff at guru was on top of your drinks and food at all times! The people at the front desk are excellent! David took care of my questions and requests before arriving through texts. The girl at the front desk is also excellent! Extremely helpful in suggestions for restaurants or any other questions you have! Definitely a great time at lotus! Thanks again front desk team!!!

Attentive people made us feel Special

Before our arrival, Alexander, the general manager, provided us with excellent service. He even reached out a few days prior to inquire about our transportation details, known allergies, and reason for travel, leaving a positive first impression. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were greeted by friendly staff and we walked into a mini paradise atmosphere. They were eager to cater to our needs and did so exceptionally. One morning during breakfast, Alexander joined us at our ocean-view table and recommended some amazing places to visit and restaurants to try. One of the recommended restaurants was Muelle 7, which had 5-star service and delicious food. The beach was conveniently located and had a great DJ playing on Saturday afternoon. However, the only downside was the alcoholic beverages. They were weak and overpriced, averaging between $13-16 dollars and tasting like plain juice. Despite that, we had an overall great experience, and it all started with the small details of care.

We have stayed at Lotus several times and we love everything about it. They are located on the beautiful beach but within walking distance to the market area for shopping and restaurants. The beach club which is part of the hotel has a nice pool with delicious food and drinks. The staff is amazing, they are very friendly and work non stop keeping the hotel clean and comfortable for the guests. Alexander the General manager is awesome, he spoke to us everyday making sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend Lotus Beach hotel!

Amazing! The plunge pool suite was beautiful with a view of Playa Norte from your own private plunge pool. The staff is amazing! The hotel is part of Guru beach club, so the staff reserved a beach bed for us everyday. The restaurant is also very good. The hotel is walking distance to the shops and restaurants on hildago street. 10/10 stay would definitely stay again!

We stayed at Lotus Beach for our honeymoon for a week and it was fantastic! The location is unbeatable, and the hotel and staff members are awesome. Everyone was super friendly and helpful for whatever we needed. It was very clean and everything seemed to be very new/well taken care of. It has a beach day club that ends up drawing in people not staying at the hotel, but we didnt mind as we were able to meet some really nice couples and learn some new key places and restaurants on the island. The hotel also allows its guests to reserve the beds so that you dont have to worry about not having somewhere to sit throughout your stay. The food and drinks at the hotel were also great. We booked with the continental breakfast as part of our stay, and it was probably one of the best included continental breakfasts we have ever had. I highly recommend Lotus Beach if you can fit it into your budget!

A very pleasant beachside experience. A little more luxury would be nice in view of the high room rates - small adjustments like a fully inclusive breakfast and finer beach amenities like beach towels and more comfortable chairs would do the trick. The staff are super friendly and make your stay a memorable one.

Vacation Perfection

Hands down best hotel experience of my life. Small quaint boutique hotel that offers personal service and everyone is lovely and kind. Alex in the office loves his town and is proud to show it off and give wonderful recommendations for Anything. The entire staff at Guru welcomed each day with kindness and awesome island energy that makes us all envious of the island lifestyle ! You can walk everywhere from the hotel and enjoy the best beaches within steps from your room.

Too expensive for what you get. I liked that the hotel was close to the beach. The room was ok, definitely not what I was expecting. The other hotel Mia was so noisy at night with loud music. The pictures and videos they have on their website look better than when you see it in person.

The first 2 nights were incredibly busy and public use the beach club there. The Mia resort right across the resort had their music so loud until 10pm. But the rest of the stay was quieter. Great location for beach and getting to Hidalgo street and restaurants, staff Mayte, Alexander, Juan, Luis were incredible.

We enjoyed everything about this place. We found the location, the accommodations, the staff, and the food to all be exemplary!

The hotel is right on the beach (Playa Norte), which is nice. However all rooms with sea view have a view towards the pink, ugly hotel in front. Big room with windows towards the sea and a jacuzzi. Low value for money in my opinion and wondering how this hotel is 5 stars (clogged shower, average breakfast)

Location, rooms, food and service were all perfect. Wonderful trip and will book here again soon.

This is the perfect location the water front reef, decoration boho zen style and the food is delicious. Every employee is attentive. By the end of your stay you feel like you made a new family. I will definitely stay here again loved it.

Small boutique hotel on the best beach in Isla Mujeres. It is clean, quiet, very walkable to all of Isla Mujeres without the noise. The food and drinks are great, the ENTIRE staff is fantastic. The bar closes a little early, but there is a sports bar on the way back from the restaurants that is open for a last nightcap. I hate to give this place a review because I intend to go back a couple of times a year! The staff and the location make this my go to spot when I need a place to just "be". Thank you all for your hospitality.

Check in was great, the hotel manager was fantastic and super great with advice on things to do, really went out of the way to make us feel welcome! The hotel property is amazing, the room was by far one of the most beautiful I’ve seen, quiet and very tranquil. The DJ played chill vibes and the beach was lovely! Will definitely stay here again

Simply amazing!

Simply amazing!! Beautiful location, super friendly staff, clean and safe! This was our second time to Isla and this is easily our new favorite hotel and beach club. We were able to avoid the spring break party vibe on this side, yet it was still active and energetic. The views from the room are breathtaking and their WiFi was reliable and strong enough to support hours of video calls. I highly recommend this hotel!!

Lotus is a 6 room boutique hotel which allowed the staff/us to be able to connect. They were extremely personable, helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay great. The manager, Alex, shared his knowledge of the island/culture/history with us. He also really listens and when he found out we were celebrating retirement he arranged a special welcome room decoration. The food/drinks were very good. They also have the Guru Beach Club which allows locals and tourists to use the beach facilities. We enjoyed this as we were able to meet and share ideas/knowledge of the island with one another. A great experience all-around.

I liked the fact that the property was small, did not care for the fact that the general public was permitted to use pool area and really did not like that smoking was permitted on property and in POOL!!! I also thought the continental breakfast could have been better. The staff was wonderful, our room was wonderful.

Plunge pool was nice and refreshing. The view was beautiful. Not perfect but an overall good experience.

Overall had a great time. Location, room, service all first rate. Only negative was techno music played by DJ for too many hours too loud and frankly painful. Had to go to beach to try to avoid noise.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The staff was very warm, welcoming and accommodating. From the moment we walked into the hotel we felt relaxed and at ease. Guru beach club has an excellence atmosphere and the food is amazing. Try the fish tacos and guacamole, I promise that you won’t be disappointed. I can’t wait to return next year and stay here!

This was the third resort I've stayed at on the island, and it is was my best experience to date. The resort consists of 6 very unique rooms. This allowed for an intimate and personable experience. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. You seriously will not encounter anything like it anywhere else on the island. Originally we were in a room with a plunge pool. Unfortunately we chose to go during a cold front, so were unable to enjoy it. We casually mentioned to Israel how chilly it was and how cold the plunge pool was because of it. He was so kind, and moved us to a larger room with a jetted tub. The location of this resort is perfect. You will be on a private part of the beach. The resort provides beach lounging which makes laying out comfortable and easy. You will also be walking distance to many restaurants and shops. If you'd like to explore the island there is a golf cart shop a couple of blocks away where you can rent a cart for roughly $15/hour, or $55/day. SN: Lemón is a restaurant on the island worth renting a cart to experience. The bartender was the coolest man. He also makes delicious drinks. There's something for everyone. The menu at the restaurant is limited. I'm not sure if this is due to covid, but it's probably because its not a large resort. The lobster and steak are delicious. I also enjoyed a few other items on the menu, but you may want to venture off the resort for most dining.

Nice beach but not relaxing. Kids everywhere.

The beach is beautiful and the water is spectacular. This place was not what I was personally looking for. I wanted to find a place to relax that would be quiet. I got a room with the plunge pool on the water. When I arrived I noticed there was a ketchup packet and a bunch of leaves/debris in the pool. Didn't make me want to use it. The morning was nice and quiet but around noon it starts to fill up with day trippers who camp out on the beach. They were super loud and there were kids everywhere. I chose an adults only resort for peace and quiet. I didn't realize they would let people use the beach chairs in front of the rooms and that there would be incessant noise until they left. After they left, the resort across the water began playing terrible music until late into the night. The bass travels across the water. So there is no peace and quiet until at least 11pm and then by noon it goes south again. It's a nice place but if you're looking for a relaxing place to stay this is not the one. I changed to the Hotel Secreto for my last night on the Island and it was much better. I liked it so much there I extended my trip for three more nights to get the relaxation I had actually been looking for.
