Overnight in Troyes

Clean, comfortable room, near town centre.

Good for price in centre

Inexpensive for size of room, internal parking (important to us) for 7euros, decent amenities but no kettle or cups, centre of town, bed comfy, bath (taps want a buff), staff friendly and helpful and spoke some English, secure (gated).

Good value for money quiet street

Great value for money hotel in the centre of Troyes. Extremely friendly welcome from reception lady who was very helpful. Good size double rooms, nice bedding, great bathroom. Parking extra but only 7 EUR, breakfast 10.50 EUR - cold buffet, not a great selection but fresh warm good-quality croissants which were appreciated and nice coffee.

It was an interesting set up for the parking, we had a garage to put our four motorbikes in so very safe and secure.

The Hotel was very nice and had been recently renovated so it was very good. The breakfast was also good and a reasonable price. The reception was a little of an issues as the guy on the desk only spoke French and Mandarin, but with the aid of a mobile phone translate we worked it out.

A lovely overnight stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. Parking and charging EV car was perfect. Location excellent and a lovely town too. Would definitely book here again if we’re travelling through.

Bit difficult to find, good quiet location

Comfortable one night stay

We had an excellent stay: a couple with a young baby, staying one night on our drive through France. Check in was easy, we were directed to one of the (secured) parking spots. The receptionist very kindly set up the baby bed, which somehow wasn’t on our booking. The room was fine: having a kitchenette was very handy, the bed was comfortable, the room large. The shower room was a bit on the small side, but not a major problem for one night. Close to the city centre for restaurants and shops. Overall we’d recommend this place for an overnight, and we’d book again if coming back to Troyes.

Good location for town

Convenient location close to town, secure parking with garages available.

Nice and light and bright but had problems with internet and Luke warm water too cold for a shower. Also you have to book and pay for parking. Double bed was small and hard.

Of all the hotels that I have stayed in over the last month, this would have to be the worst. Solo traveller so got the noisiest and smallest room; basin in the bedroom. Manager said she had messaged me to advise me to book a car park. I never received the message, was the first at the hotel and all the French people got car parks. Their advertising is misleading. No assistance offered.

Great receptionist

Chose this place on the basis of a call to the receptionist, cheerful, attentive and professional. Glad to meet her on site, friendly and efficient.

This hotel is good for safe parking but the building itself is a bit tired. However, it was clean and the bed was comfy so it's ok for a one night stay. Don't bother with the breakfast though, it's not good value for money.

No frills great location & parking, nice staff

This is a no-frills hotel but it is right by the historic part of town and has excellent fully secure parking at 7 Euros a night. Parking IS in-and-out (they provide a code for after-hours entry) and said we could leave it until 2 pm. Nice option! We had a comfortable sleep, cozy coverlets, good shower, big enough room for two. Skipped the hotel breakfast at 9.50 Euros and walked 5 minutes to Paul's for fresh pastries & excellent cappuccino at 4.70 Euro (all about whether you want yogurt, fruit.) Staff was friendly and room tidy.

Short stay in Troyes

Budget hotel with 5* Service

Nice, clean and easy to find hotel, we arrived very late and the manager waited up for us in case we had a problem in finding the hotel and getting in ! Would definitely stay there again and highly recommended, please note it is a budget hotel but it’s clean and cosy. Thank you Manon for all your help

BED BUGS

Bed bugs!!! There are bed bugs in this hotel. The worst stay experience in our life. And besides the bugs, rooms are dirty. The hotel needs a full renovation and looks much better on the pictures than in life

A gem, a stone's throw from the centre.

Excellent location for exploring the town- everything within easy walking distance. Very welcoming host. Great value breakfast. Basic but comfortable rooms in a charming building. Would definitely stay again.

Good central location.

This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel. The receptionist on duty that evening wasn't the most friendly but thankfully we had stayed before so knew the ropes about accessing the hotel after 9pm which is when reception closes. Hotel is centrally located which is why we use it , and is close to many sights and bars and restaurants. Would stay here again. Car parking available at €7 .

Good location.

Stayed here enroute to Rhone Alps. Hotel is in a quiet part of town, but a 10 minute stroll to a good selection of restaurants and bars. Room comfortable but small as was the ensuite bu air conditioning was very quiet. Car parking is €7 but is secure.

Does the job

Nothing much to expect as it's a 2 stars hotel. The staff was very friendly. The location is very good, in the city center. The was not enough place in the parking of the hotel, which was an inconvenience for us. Otherwise, it's good for a 1 night stay.

Troyes overnight stay

The hotel is conveniently located close to the old town and also easy walking distance to the cathedral. Good choice of bars and restaurants within 10 minute walk. Hotel is a typical logis, secure parking was useful and the Covid affected breakfast was efficiently handled and good value for money. Staff helpful and friendly.

Rooms are clean and modern. Comfy bed and duvet. Was quiet at night after elephants upstairs had gone to bed. Woken at 6.30 by staff setting up breakfast next door. Couples sitting directly outside our window smoking so can’t have curtains open. Don’t have a ground floor room and maybe better. WiFi not great, keep having to sign in every time. I sent an email requesting if I had to reserve a car park space, didn’t get a response, told when here that you do and full up so had to park up road.

Great overnight stop.

Great stop over hotel

Clean, comfortable hotel in good central location, short walk into the centre of town. Everything we needed for a one night stop-over in Troyes. The hotel asked for payment before I realised I'd already paid through hotels.com but hotels.com quickly refunded what I paid through them, when I raised the issue.

Great location!

Great location, very close to old part of the town, and easy to find Hotel. Our room was in next buiding, looks like apartment buiding. Room was very big with few windows, kitchen area, bathroom and toilette are in separete rooms in hallway. Breakfast is good. Secured parking spaces inside the Hotel gate.

Good value for the price

Unfortunately I speak very little French and the folks at the check in desk spoke very little English. They had our reservation but it took about 15 minutes to work out with them that I had already paid for the room via Hotels.com. The hotel was old but everything worked. And the breakfast was very nice and I thought a good value. The weather was hot and the room was not air conditioned so it was somewhat hard to sleep but (unlike other stops on this trip) there wasn't much traffic noise. The hotel is conveniently located in town and close to many of the key attractions.

It was good to have 2 separate rooms for us and the children; it was more spacious than a family room in the UK. Unfortunately there was only air conditioning in one room which did not spread to the second room so we got rather hot. There was a problem with some electrical sockets in one room which the staff could not rectify although they offered us a change of rooms. Breakfast was pleasant. Location was very convenient for the town centre.

Good place for overnight stop for family or couple

Excellent overnight stop on route to the Alps. Very close to old city. Specifically wanted the secure parking which was good to have for 7 euros a night. Booked family room which was actually 2 rooms with bathroom inbetween. Good size rooms and air con which was needed as temperature outside that day was 35 degrees. Helpful staff and very good breakfast. Overall very good value for money. Would stay again if needing overnight stop half way to the Alps again

The original pictures of this property were quite misleading. It has now changed but it was disappointing. The appearance of the hotel is very ordinary. The hotel is in a sad part of the town, though it is only 10 minutes walk to the livelier and better part of town where the restaurants are, and that is a nice part of town. Our rooms were very ordinary with virtually no facilities. The bathroom was tiny but the shower worked okay. No glasses to get a drink. No plug for the basin. No cupboard to store anything. The mattress was far from firm. Early morning there was either no power in the rooms or flickering power, with no explanation. Make sure your mobile phone is handy with a torch app! There is no lift to get upstairs and the stairs are quite narrow and twisting. There is virtually no sound-proofing. Every step outside the room and upstairs resonates. We would not stay here again, or recommend it. Other parts of town are much nicer. Look elsewhere.

Close to town. Large clean room. Good parking. Building a bit dated. Loved our stay and would stay again.

Aircon kept making strange noise about every 20 min. There is no soundproof you can hear everything next door and the hallway. WC/ Shower room it’s so tiny I don’t think bigger person would be able to close the door while inside.

Loved our room. Breakfast was ok. Bastille Day fireworks in July 13 were a wonderful treat!

Good location to walk into Centre Ville. This was just a 1 mihht passing through stay do quite adequate.

Small, well-run hotel in central Troyes.

This is a small, well-run hotel in a quiet and calm quarter of central Troyes. The staff are helpful and efficient, rooms are adequate but not very big. Everything works, it is inexpensive, close to amenities and has secure parking. Breakfast is simple but good value. Good wifi, good shower. Drinks and snacks are in a machine.

Nice little hotel

Great little hotel. Basic, clean and close to centre. Good stopover on the way down south. Stayed here 3 times now.

Nice hotel very friendly staff/owners. Great location only a short walk from the old town. Would definitely stay again. For an extra 9 euros you can pay for garage parking as well.

Close to city centre and fine for a stopover. Recommend the car park at the hotel as this is a busy city. Breakfast fine.

Hit and miss hotel

The room was fine - bed reasonably comfortable and linens of good quality. The bathroom was nicely fitted out but small - the sink was really only a cloakroom size and there was no shelf or anything on which to deposit bottles etc. What made it less than a great stay were partly some small things - such as lukewarm welcome and no offer of help to find restaurants or give a map of the area, no plug in the bathroom sink, important when you wear contact lenses and the fact we were only given two towels - somewhat thin and small bath towels and no hand towels at all. I don't expect that in this grade of hotel. Mostly however because of the paper thin walls which made sleep impossible for hours. Your sleep will be entirely dependent upon your neighbours. In our case it was a young and energetic couple who liked to talk at the same time! We felt as though we were in the same room and could virtually follow their entire conversation - we could certainly follow and feel their nocturnal antics. Whilst they are entirely entitled to enjoy themselves, we would rather that we couldn't hear everything quite so clearly!

Central Troyes

A really nice hotel, very close to the centre, but it was made so much better but the receptionist, one of the happiest most helpful people I have met.

Good Hotel

Really good small hotel close to Troyes centre

Family room for 4 was 2 linked bedrooms with a lovely bathroom. Fabulous value for money. As it was ground floor, and a humid evening, it either needs window restricted opening so it could be left open all night or additional air conditioning. Highly recommended.

Excellent value for money

The outside of this hotel really lets it down as it doesn't look very nice from the outside. However, our family room was really large, clean and well equipped (number 7 in the annex). It had been recently decorated and was lovely inside. Excellent value for money. We were staying for one night on our drive from South of France back to UK. We had "treated" ourselves to a 5 star hotel in Avignon, just before arriving at Le Cirque in Troyes - the room at Le Cirque was a fraction of the price and 3 times the size of the 5 star one! It's a short walk to the historic centre of Troyes and overall this hotel would be an excellent base for a family for an overnight or a few days' sightseeing.

This hotel has recently been renovated. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Location is close to town square containing restaurants and shopping. Staff very helpful and good value for money.

Sunday in Troyes

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. We parked on the street no problems (quiet street) The hotel is ideally located for a 10 minute walk into town. The quality of the breakfast was outstanding. Recommended!!!!

Excellent hotel in good location.

Car parking was very useful, the owners were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay even though it was only one night, we would recommend this hotel.

The hotel was clean and the staff was kind. It was a little run down. The breakfast was worthwhile.

Barely habitable

This hotel was terrible, air conditioning didn't work, tiny beds, cars parked within inches of our window.... How could people make such bad design decisions?

Central location at a bargain price

This is a great place for a quick stop. Nothing fancy, but clean modern and very well placed for seeing the beautiful city of Troyes and eating out in one of the many restaurants. Well worth paying the extra 5€ for secure parking, but free parking round the corner if you prefer. Breakfast an extra few euros but worth it. A good choice of fresh bread and pastries, cereals, and even squeeze your own orange juice. I think the hotel has had a makeover recently and has changed names. We booked it as The hotel de Cirque but have had one or two emails calling it the Hotel Argent which is a little confusing. We only realised when we arrived that we had stayed here before and can honestly say it is a marked improvement on it's former self. A pleasant hotel at a good price for it's central location.

Nice hotel for the price. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was modern and clean with enough towels and a hairdryer. Breakfast was the average basic French style. Overnight parking next to the hotel cost 5 euro.

Hotel tres bien placé et très propre. Très bon accueil et personnel très serviable. Literie a revoir et manque 1 grille pain au petit dejeuner.

ideale locatie voor stadsbezoek (rand van het centrum - alles te voet mogelijk), perfect voor kortverblijf/doorreis. Veilige parking - met laadmogelijkheid electrisch voertuig! Kamers zijn basic, maar proper. Kleine badkamer, maar douche voldoende groot en in orde. Goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding.

Excellent séjour proche espace Argence

Excellent accueil ! Établissement au calme dans une cour fermée, dans laquelle on peut garer sa voiture en parking ou garage payants. Très propre, les chambres du 2ème vont être rénovées en novembre pour embellir et surtout agrandir la salle de douche qui est très/trop petite. Bon petit déjeuner, salle très agréable. Très bon séjour. Le meilleur choix pour un spectacle à l'espace Argence à 5 min à pieds.

Hôtel très bien

Accueil très sympa, très professionnel. La situation de l hôtel idéale, tout près du centre et pas de bruits.

Tout était très bien 😊, la jeune femme de la réception est très serviable, à l'écoute, souriante et fournit un excellent service à ses clients 👍. Seul petit bémol, le parquet du couloir des étages grince et les clients matinaux réveillent les « lève-tard » ! Le parking sur place est un vrai plus, l’hôtel est très bien situé pour se rendre en ville à pied 👍

Personnel serviable, bon petit déjeuner. Nous avons trouvé à nous garer gratuitement juste devant dans la rue, mais sinon il y a aussi un parking payant dans la cour
