This hotel was very clean and nice for the price. I have nothing bad to say. I love the bar on site. Parking was easy and this hotel was affordable.
Nice hotel, good breakfast. It's a little too far from the historical downtown.
Really fair pricing for the quality. Breakfast excellent
Great place to stay
Great place to stay. Very good service. Only point is need to provide more space to store luggage depending on the size of the room. We were a family of 4 in a 2 double bedroom but accordingly the storage for luggage was not sufficient
A comfortable stay.
Great stay. Very friendly staff. Clean room. Nice bar. Excellent breakfast.
Stayed many times and the staff is second to none. Did have issues with the wifi throughout our stay. It needs to be boosted especially on the seventh floor at the end of the hall.
Average comfy hotel with very helpful service and staff. Cigarette and beer vending machines were faulty, as were the intermittent elevator buttons. Nice cozy bar are rooms are very clean. Great cozy and economic hotel overall. Amenities include coffee, mini fridge, and security safe. Beautiful 1 hr walk to Marienplatz is a must with tons of statues and structures to take pictures of! That's a must see! Perhaps best bang per buck on a budget. Make sure you book breakfast as it is not complimentary. Enjoy your stay!
Overall is fine. Just a bit far from Ubahn station.
The property was in a nice and quiet area. Our room was in good condition and clean. The staff was courteous and helpful. This hotel is not in the center city. It is a 15-20 minute walk to the Arabella Station. The walk itself if through a residential neighborhood or park (depending which way you take). Outside the hotel there are cabs and scooters that you can rent. Next to the Arabella Station there is an open shopping area with restaurants, cafe, supermarket, etc. which was very convenient for us. If you don't mind the 15 minute walk, I would recommend this property.
Near local transit stations.
It is a great accommodation for me and my family. It’s accessible to public transportation. Our breakfast and 2 times dinner in the hotel are excellent.
I stayed for 4 nights in a family room with my husband and our 2 young children and it was a lovely place to stay. Hotel was clean and new. Very quiet rooms. Blackout curtains. A/C made it cool. About 20 mins walk to Arrabella U-bahn station. We will stay here again and I recommend it.
We got a quick check in. Although our two bed room for three only had two (very small) comforters & only two towels. We were told we would receive another comforter but never did. The room was clean, staff was nice & helpful for the most part.
Good base for Munich
The hotel is clean and breakfast is very good, if a bit more expensive than average. The hotel is well situated to drive and park, if your car isn’t compliant with Munich’s emissions standards. The staff are friendly.
It was a nice property in a quiet area.
The property is in a quaiet zone. Existing parking. Near to the local transport (bus, metro). Easy to find the hotel. Great park.
Staff was lovely. Breakfast was very versatile and yummy, definitely worth getting.
The property was very clean, the breakfast was very good and was good value for money.
Good option for Munich
Hotel is nice, rooms was great. Not much in the immediate area but close enough to transit to make it convenient still
Good hotel. Great staff
The hotel is under renovation. The first couple of nights we stayed in an old room and I did not like it. The bathroom really needed some attention. The staff was super nice and changed us to a newly renovated room that was great! I would recommend asking for a renovated room :) Higher floors.
Parking onsite. Clean and friendly.
Good service, great service and nice rooms.
Very comfortable and clean rooms. Really impressed with the staff, they are quite approachable, friendly and makes us feel at home. would defistay here again when I visit Munich.
Neat enough hotel. Poor food options & service levels in the bar. At leat 10 mins walk to underground (U Bahn)
The staff were superb. The breakfast was excellent and the room was clean. Good value for money.
It's a nice hotel. The staff is also very helpful and they offered us an upgrade to the suite.
This is a great hotel with friendly and helpful staff. On the first night, we ate in the restaurant and the food was of excellent quality and extremely reasonable in price. My one wish would be to move the smoking area to the side as people cluster at the front near the door and it does not show the hotel off to its best.
The hotel was quiet and clean. Slightly outdated, but fine. It was far from most things and about a kilometer away from public transit.
I enjoyed my stay there. The Ukraine girl at the desk was very nice and helpful.
Hotel is nice and staff is attentive. Topic to improve is the magnetic card loses its thing easily. A bit far from the city’s main attractions.
Good hotel, speedy check in, helpful staff. Breakfast great and a good variety. Room good size, comfortable beds, only reason downgraded rating was the air conditioning didn’t work in the room and it was 32degrees outside
Wonderful.
Friendly and clean.
Overall good experience, staff was nice and friendly.. location is only issue here ..bus frequency is not good .. especially 9 pm onwards ..no bus is there from a Arabella park U Bahn ..so you have to walk for around1km ..
very disappointing
we arrived late in the evening to be told the hotel had given our rooms to other guests as they were overbooked. they eventually moved us to another hotel and promised that the rooms would be as per our original booking. when we got there they were not!
Excellent Hotel, great service, relaxing ambience
All good, very good value for money
Great location. Affordable. Comfortable. Excellent breakfast in the restaurant.
Good breakfast, clean and cozy place, friendly staff, affordable price
I have stayed at the Leonardo hotels in Munich 3 times now recently and I must say that the breakfast offer has always been spectacular! Staff are always quite nice. This time, however, I had a bit of a problem with the facilities. I was 'upgraded' to a deluxe room in Bavarian style and it was so absolutely dreadful and the stench of old stale smoke so overwhelming (it was probably a smoking room up to who knows when and the unrenovated carpet and upholstery and wood cabinets were just permeated with cigarette smoke) that I went downstairs to get downgraded to a room that didn't stink. All that was an unnecessary hassle. But actually necessary because I was already getting a terrible headache from the smell. I was happy to get a much smaller room than I had originally expected. Second disappointment was that the fitness room was unavailable, but no note on the website or information about the closure. Apparently the reason why was because there was dripping water. But of course, the location is excellent and the breakfast is simply outstanding. And thank goodness they found me a smaller room that was smoke free. All in all, I'll be back because of the location, the decent rooms and of course for breakfast. Highlight of my stay every time... 😅
It was a 10 minute walk to the U-bahn station, but bus stops were closer. Breakfast wasn't included and the only breakfast option was expensive. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms.
Not the normal service
We have stayed here many times over the years and this was the most disappointing stay. Upon checking in we were asked if room service could be done every other day. We agreed and the first day of expected service was fine but then we did not receive the second expected day of service. I did make a mistake in booking. Thought I booked six nights but actually did five nights. The night clerk on the last night was very nice and accommodating in arranging the last night. But earlier in the day the staff did not notify us of the fact. This led to two times having to get a new key. The other thing is they claimed that we owed for two breakfasts when we did not use the service. As I said this was the first time we had issues with the Leonardo. Hopefully this will not happen again.
The hotel was far enough away from the city to be very quiet, but also in easy walking distance of buses or trains to get into the Octoberfest within 15 mins. Bar and food was lovely, breakfast was brilliant, very good choice of cold meats, cereal or cooked breakfast. Definitely would come back here again, possibly next year.
The reception desk was able to find a solution to our little check in hiccup and provided complimentary breakfast and on site parking. A very nice hotel conveniently situated in the city of Munich.
Leonard Hotel Munich Arabellapark
Beautiful hotel, unfortunately weather was extremely hot and air conditioning was not working or not effective, could not open a window as it had a chain on it. Room no 404, smelt of smoke expecially in the bathroom. With hot weather, radiator in bathroom was hot Apart from these instances was a very nice hotel and amenities, I would stay again
Great!
Like always I was very pleased with my stay. Everyone was pleasant and helpful!
Please fix ac!
All was good including friendly staff. Only downgrade was the ac in the room was weak or not working and was hot during the night.
München 2021
Good location, decent rooms
Thank s to All staff They very coordinate with us and the place very secure
Great hotel
Very good hotel, friendly and efficient staff, good size rooms, great bar, excellent shower. I wish I'd had time to stay for breakfast, but the menu for that and dinner also looked varied and good value. I only had one night here whilst I wAs waiting for my flight to be rerouted, but it was ideal for me.
The property was well located and had friendly staff
Complimentary water, refrigerator, lots of electrical outlets, comfy chair.
It’s a little far from city centre, but there is a subway about 10minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel itself is amazing! The service is great and very confortable room.
Staff was very friendly, and the hotel was very clean. There’s also an option of getting a traditional Bavarian room, which we got. The room was adorable, and we enjoyed our stay!
Overall the property is very nice and has everything you could expect for this level of hotel. The only downside would be the location is further from city center but if you don’t mind the 15 min walk to the transit station then it works. I will say the staff here was exceptional! Everyone was incredible welcoming, accommodating and entertaining. While traveling with friends, we quickly looked forward to ending our nights at the bar with Nina, she was simply the best!
My favorite hotel like Arabellapark
I like to stay here in Munchen is quiet but not so far away from town and everything in Munchen, clean nice rooms for me everything ist fine there, good brekfast rich lot of choise...
The staff was super nice, probably the nicest people I've met in Germany so far. very accommodating and helpful
Great hotel
Great hotel, clean, good food, good service and good location. The check in was a breeze. A shout out to Daniella at the reception for being so helpful.
We had a problem with our room but Daniela, one of the staff members really helped us out, had a lovely stay.
Good hotel at good price
0 minute walk away from U-bahn. Free bottle of wateruseful in the middle of the night. No complaints. Would stay again if needing to be in this area.
Decent hotel and good value.
Pleasant enough.
Good value.
Nice enough. I enjoyed staying here for the week. Friendly staff and is definitely stay here again.
Perfectly fine, but nothing more. Staff were friendly, and the room was clean.
Great stay.
The beds were a little uncomfortable but the room was lovely and the staff was great. Not close to any major attractions.
Good hotel for short trips
Very impressive lobby decoration. Reception was good and quick. Free parking available just outside the hotel on street.
leaking bathroom ceiling, moldy smell
Reserved two nights but requested an extra night one day early. Cost for extra day was more than the other two nights. They didn't have our breakfast and required we pay again for the two nights. On the last night, water was pouring from our bathroom ceiling (had to wear a towel on your head to use toilet). Also, bathroom smelled of mold, was much more noticeable when water started pouring down. Hotel offered no compensation. Staff had zero authority for any decisions. Would not recommend or stay here again. Pay the extra and stay at the Sheraton, its by the U-bahn and much nicer.
Nice hotel, close to restaurants
4 day business trip
Nice clean hotel, not too far to walk to some decent restaurants
Convenient location and wonderful staff Very pleased with the service
Clean room, friendly staff, great location. Additional parking in underground garage (€6/day).
Was a pleasant stay at Leonardo Munich. Had only an issue: unlocking my door in the morning. Took me a few minutes to open it.
Nice hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Building is older, but it’s perfectly habitable and rooms are well appointed. Pleasant staff and comfy beds. If I were in need of a room in that area again, I would certainly stay there.
Nice hotel, restaurant serves an amazing steak and staff are really helpful and friendly. Nice location too! Would definitely stay here again!
Our check-in went fine, except that upon entering the room we realized the room was not what we had booked. After contacting the front desk, it turned out that the room configuration we had requested did not exist at the hotel. This was not picked up on by Expedia or the hotel, so I had a complaint about that--front desk staff helped with a solution and were polite. The hotel is not close to downtown and is a half-hour drive from the airport. Rooms are not large but were clean. Beds were comfortable and the area was pretty quiet. There are two restaurants in the hotel - one serves the buffet breakfast but is not open for any other meals. The buffet was large and quite good. The bar is open for dinner and while the menu selection was not huge, the food was good and the staff attentive. I would recommend this hotel as long as being very close to downtown (i.e.-Marienplatz) is important to you. If you have a room request with any hotel, contact them directly. Expedia does not appear to check or flag these in any way.
Hotel Arabellapark
Decent hotel - good size room with 2 double beds. A little out of the way if you are planning to use public transport to get round.
What is 4 star hotel today?
This is everything but not a 4 star hotel! Maybe 2. Carpets are dirty, stuffy air.. By any mean this is not what it say it is..
It was ok, staff was griendly, but extra charge fo brekfast for 2,5 persons costed me 32€!!!
Good location
The Leonardo hotel is well located just to the north of the city centre. It's about a 15 minute walk from the nearest U-bahn station and about 20 minutes from the fabulous Englischgarten. The hotel is tidy and smart without being particular spectacular. We had a family room and it was just about big enough for the four of us. Our room was clean and comfortable but the airconditioning struggled to cope with the very high temperatures that Munich was experiencing during our stay. There's a bar / restaurant on the first floor, but it only serves pizzas in the evening. Overall, it's a decent hotel in a decent location, for a decent price.
Excellent staff and very clean.
Hotel was close to Hospital were my son is in Coma. They were very helpful locating my lost baggage. Hotel is very clean and comfortable. The staff is excellent.
Nice hotel. Only problem is that it is close to a main road, making it a bit noisy.
Lovely old wooden bar in a quite modern hotel. Staff very helpful and polite
Everything I wanted, nothing missing. Very helpful staff, lovely food.
Very friendly staff and very reasonable price. Room is comfortable and clean
stopped one night close to transport links
Hotel was a short walk from the bus service, room was ready and staff helpful
A bit isolated
Not much around the hotel. Only one restaurant and nobody around in the evening.
Very nice hotel , friendly staff
We had fee glitches when we checked in as our room AC was not working but the staff tried to resolve it and then they gave us another room as they could not fix it . Hotel staff was very good and helpful , specially the Caroline at reception helped us a lot .
My stay in this hotel is memorable, the staff is very friendly and eager to help with a smile. The room is clean and spacious.
overall pleasant stay
overall pleasant stay ,location also great, food spread was nice, staff was cooperative.clean and neat rooms
Nice place, great staff
I give four stars to this hotel, and it means it was clearly a positive experience. The personel was great, the breakfast was a lot more than I expected, the pub on the first floor was inviting, the room was nice and quiet, everything worked as it should be. I did not have time to check if there was any gym in the premises. The 1 kilometer walk to the subway station was ok when it was not raining... There were not many restaurants close by, but I can recommend the Lohengrins Wirtshaus un Bar in 1 km distance. In Arabellapark there were more choices.
It's nice hotel quoit area and nearest to city center
The hotel staff is very nice and friendly. However the hotel itself looks very old and displeasing. There was only one outlet in my room to plug things in. They had to bring a multi plug. They brought over an iron when I asked for one. The bed was comfy. But the furniture itself is very old. Overall the place was located close to a metro station and where I had to be in the morning. The lady at the desk was very kind. And helped me with many things. They even upgraded my room for no charge. Mostly likely because the hotel was empty.
Weird room
Get huge room, kind of like half conference room and half hotel room. Two large tables and a lot of chairs. Bed is fold-up-in-wall type. Bathroom normal. Peephole in door is mounted the wrong way (so you can see into the room from the outside - no joke) but I block it from the inside with a piece of cardboard. Breakfast is ok but no fruit. Staff is alright. Overnight parking is 15 EUR. Would probably not stay again.
Leonardo Hotel Munich Arabellapark
The hotel was nice. The hotel was clean and the staff was very nice.
Good, Not Great
Far enough outside city center that you're away from the hustle and bustle, but not a lot around as far as restaurants go. The restaurant at the hotel has excellent food and service. Room was decent sized and very clean. Hotel was experiencing wi-fi issues during our stay, which was very frustrating.
famely trip
very good hotel and nice staff we love it and recommend this hotel
Functional hotel more a three star than four I would have said. What it lacked in facilities it made up for with friendly and helpful staff.
Awesome visit
Fantastic hotel; especially the bar! with great staff who were very accomodating. Stayed with family for the Oktoberfest.
Oktoberfest weekend - Great Value for money
My partner and I stayed here over the middle weekend of Oktoberfest. Great value for money, 25 minutes into the city (10 minute walk to the station and 10 minute train journey). Comfortable basic rooms, hotel staff were helpful and breakfast was good. 30 minute walk into English Garden and overall the area (while a little out of the city) seems to be quite posh. Only negative was we got two single beds, so might be best to request a double bed when booking (if possible).
munich trip
We arrived tired but excited from the munich airport by cab.we received little assistance with our bags but we're checked in quite quickly. We purposely reserved the room for an extra night so we could arrive and immediately be shown to oUr rooms, shower, and sleep off our jet lag.we were allowed to do that and woke ready to experience some sight, sounds, and smells of oktoberfest. We met some lovely staff at the hotel who helped us a cab to the marienplatz enjoy the glockenspiel, and have a lovely meal in three ratskellar.we even did some shopping for drinks and traditional oktoberfest costumes.
