Cute, rustic, and authentic resort. Enjoyed the beach and amenities. I would recommend. We met the owners of the resort which was pretty cool as well. Great experience in Seychelles.

Great Room and Beach Club

Perfect holiday. Lovely people, gorgeous beach, delicious food (buffet dinner even better than Café des Arts, which we weren't expecting), beautiful and sparkling clean room.

We were in Seychelles for a week-long honeymoon in September 2021 and we stayed in a different hotel room each night. This was no question top 3 for us. The views from the resort are incredible, the two pools (especially the hang out area on the water with the plunge pools) were a huge perk, and they had some of the best food/drinks of anywhere we stayed. The rooms were clean and modern, and the staff were all very friendly. Highly recommend if you plan to visit Praslin!

Many extra hidden charges

Very expensive for what it’s worth, they make you pay for espresso coffee in the room. I was charged for 2 water in the mini bar when I only drunk 1. The charge is for the drinks when It was supposed to be free because the room came with a half board but they didn’t inform that drinks are separate.

Le Duc de Praslin is truly beautiful. 5 star property. You can have it all at Le Duc from a long white sand beach to sparkling clean pools, a new beachside club with music and dancing and comfortable rooms. The design of the buildings and gardens is stunning with beautiful driftwood and plantings and more. We completely enjoyed our stay. The food is very good and a selection that should make everyone happy. The staff is quick to be helpful and the owner Robert is always around checking in with guests. A special thank you to Rawan who always remembered how we liked our favorite cocktails :)

Very clean room, restaurant was beautiful like a tropical garden

Nice hotel

Our experience was overall very good at Le Duc hotel. Food, restaurants, and beach were in high standard. Breakfast was not very diverse. There were ants in our room from the second we enter the room, and it took 3 days for the maintenance to seel the shower (they were only in the bathroom). Also, we had one day and a half with no hot water in the shower. The service was very good. I would like to mention the receptionists, Hillary and Jenne for there kindness, they help us a lot with finding cool places on the island and the area.

The Duc

We enjoyed the Duc. The staff were outstanding. This was really the strength of the operation. The location was also terrific. We stayed in the just-opened new complex. The rooms were ok but the new swimming pool was very, very nice. The new complex also features a very complete exercise room and even had a trainer available. The cafe next to the Duc (and run by them) had a very nice porch just above the high tide line on the ocean. We enjoyed that tremendously. There were a few negatives. Like almost every place we visited in the Seychelles the internet was sporadic and unreliable. All but the most basic browsing or email was generally not possible. When we did complain, however, the staff worked hard to improve what they could. The breakfasts offered by the hotel were generally good, but we didn't like the dinners which seemed very meat-heavy. There was generally no vegetarian option. (That having been said, I'm sure the staff would have done something had we asked). Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

A very well run establishment. The locals had respect and admiration for the owner, which was very impressive. Very peaceful place, all you heard was the ocean and local wildlife. Laid back and relaxing atmosphere. Reception was extremely friendly and helpful.

Perfect place in heart of Praslin

Beautiful hotel near the beach, in the heart of Praslin Island. Stuff is great, rooms are big, and everything is even much better than on the pictures. Perfect place for your hollyday on SEYCHELLES.

Wonderful Honeymoon Stay!

Cant say enough good things about this place! Le Duc is a great hotel option in Praslin! It is in a good location with restaurants and many beaches nearby. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the staff are super friendly. A special thank you to Franchesca for making our honeymoon stay extra special!! She went above and beyond!! The restaurants serve up some tasty food options and the bars make delicious cocktails! The rooms are very spacious, clean, and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend the hotel for anybody staying on Praslin. Side tip, if you are on your honeymoon, bring a copy of your marriage certificate for some special extras. :) Renting a car is good as well, about a 15 minute drive to Anse Lazio and not too long to drive around the whole island and explore.

A delightful hotel in the Seychelles

An excellent hotel, the room was amazing, large, well appointed and very clean with a lovely terrace with a day bed as well as a table and chairs. A relatively small hotel, beautifully laid out with a calm and relaxing colour scheme reflecting the turquoise sea as well as a pretty tropical garden .

Seychelles getaway

Lovely, friendly hotel with lots of restaurants nearby within walking distance. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent. Good location as a base in Praslin but be prepared to get a taxi everywhere, as whilst there is a bus service they are infrequent and quite often full.

A paradise oasis

I spent two nights at Le Duc de Praslin in the Seychelles at the end of a two-week trip to Madagascar. This is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at anywhere in the world. The grounds are beautifully manicured, the room is large and very comfortable. The shower has excellent water pressure and steaming hot water. Wifi is strong all around the grounds, breakfast buffet is expansive. Staff are polite and attentive; they will assist with any airport or ferry transfers and can help procure a taxi for any other activities. It is located just near Anse Volbert beach, which isn't the most beautiful in the Seychelles but is a lovely spot for a sundowner. On our last night we had dinner at Cafe des Beaux Arts which is situated by the ocean. This was another exceptional experience -- food was delicious and elegantly presented, and the wait staff were on point, with flawless service. Highly recommend this place!

A slide of heaven

Great facilities, warm welcome, spotless clean and great location. Shame no restaurant open apart from very expensive Cafe des Arts however restaurants available elsewhere.

Great location

Really lovely property right on Cote d’Or Beach - one of the most beautiful beaches in Seychelles. The accommodations are great. Only complaint is that we paid a LOT (nearly 1000 usd) for two nights in the honeymoon suite, and there were no perks at all. Just felt like a regular room/stay.

Good hotel with good value for money

we liked this property, it's not a very large resort, with 1 bar, restaurant, small fitness centre, not far from the beach, rooms are very spacious and well equipped, staff are helpful, on the whole it's a good resort, we would gladly stay in it again. Only thing that bothered us is that the barman was comstantly telling us what to do, don't do this and don't do that. It almost felt like we're doing him a favor paying to stay in the resort. Maybe he should change job description to police man. Thanks

Pleasant stay

The overall experience was pleasant. The property is nicely maintained. Beach just a mins walk aways. Huge rooms. The staff was courteous. Service though is a bit slow, but i think that goes with the atmosphere of Praslin..."Relaxed" I hope they can accommodate some more variety in breakfast for veterinarians like me.

Wonderful Stay

We had a fantastic stay, we were greeted by smiling staff and a lovely cold smoothie before been shown to our room. We stayed in room no.2 which is a 2 minute walk from reception, it was beautiful, a very large balcony (with a palm tree through the middle!!) and lovely inside. The pool area and grounds are delightful. The hotel is located in a great location with restaurants within walking distance. We ate in the hotel one evening and the food was of high quality as was the breakfast. Our room was located 1 minute from the outstanding beach.

Exotic and not crowded. No children in our area.

Un hôtel merveilleux, une superbe communication, un accueil chaleureux. Un large choix d’aliments de qualité pour le petit-déjeuner ainsi que pour le dîner. Une jolie chambre décorée avec soin Hôtel très bien placé, un accès direct à la magnifique plage Côte d’or. Gros pour le propriétaire M. Payet qui prend le temps de saluer ses clients. Étant un couple de voyageurs, c’est la première fois qu’un hôtel mérite 1000/10 ! Un réel coup de cœur, nous y reviendrons, c’est certain. Merci au Duc de Praslin et aux habitants de l’île de Praslin d’avoir sublimé notre voyage de noces.

Hôtel sympa environnement très sympathique malgré une plage à distance et les puces de sable qui ne vous ratent pas donc prévoir un répulsif sur la plage 😅

Nagyon kiábrándító volt... Ezzel a mondattal tudnám összefoglalni a lényeget. A személyzet képzetlen és rendkívül udvariatlan volt (tisztelet az egy két kivételnek) 4 napból 4x nyitottak ránk a szobában. Megdöbbentő volt, amikor két szobalany kopogas nélkül nyitott a ferjemre

Magnifique lieu commun les piscines la plage le restau la nourriture est excellente . Par contre notre chambre honeymoon très très déçue des fourmis dans les chambres en permanence malgré le passage des femmes de Menage . Aucun geste n a été offert en compensation . Bebe de 6 mois avec des biberons enroulés de fourmis . Pour le prix de la nuite c scandaleux . C dommage car le reste est top . Les joints de la salle de bain vétuste à revoir

Traumhaftes Hotel und traumhafte Strände ohne Leute und Touristen. So wie jetzt in der Corona Zeit werden wir diese Insel nicht so schnell wieder sehen!!!

Herrlich

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Zimmer mit grossem Balkon (nr.63). Das Zimmer wurde täglich sehr gut gereinigt, täglich gabs am Abend frische Badetücher mit Wasser für den nächsten Tag. Der neue Infinitypool mit Blick aufs Meer ist super. Die Halbpension war Abwechslungsreich. Mal Wurde das Abendessen a la Carte serviert , mal gabs Buffet.

Dès notre 1ère nuit dans l’hôtel nous avons subi un gros problème de fuite d’eau au plafond dans notre chambre. Le matin, après avoir signalé la situation à la réception le directeur de l’hôtel nous a immédiatement proposé de changer de chambre et nous a fait choisir entre 2 propositions. Nous avons été relogés dans le tout nouveau bâtiment dans une Chambre neuve et magnifique. Tout était parfait. Nous recommandons vivement cet établissement parfaitement situé : personnel très accueillant et professionnel, buffets de très bonne qualité : jus d’orange frais le matin, grand choix de plats le soir. Très bon établissement. Merci

Deuxième séjour en amoureux au Duc de Praslin. Toute et l’équipe était aux petits soins et l’hôtel est toujours aussi beau, un peu dommage qu’avec l’agrandissement et les appartement standings a venir il perde un peu de son charme exclusif...

Séjour validé à 70% ... en effet la première nuit rien à dire sauf parfait ! On déchante quand à la deuxième nuit quand on revient dans l’hôtel après un séjour de 2 jours sur une autre île. Nous n’avons plus la même chambre pas grave en soi sauf quand c’est le jour et la nuit niveau chambre, confort, standing ... Forte heureusement très bonne réactivité du personnel et du directeur qui nous propose une alternative avec un supplément pour une villa privée! Notre séjour se termine magnifiquement bien !!! Villa digne des stars et des films !!!

Très bel hôtel, emplacement idéal à 50m de la plage. Attention l'hôtel s'agrandit, il y a un chantier juste à côté (un peu de bruit, pas beaucoup), le wifi est moyen, les resto bon mais cher. Tout le reste (chambre, jardin, piscine, personnel) est top !

Positiv waren Frühstück und Zimmer. Sonst erfüllt das Hotel keine guten 4* Standard. Zudem keine direkte Strandlage obwohl so beworben. Abendessen handwerklich ungekonnt.

Quinta vacanza alle Seychelles

Hotel caratteristico meraviglioso, personale gentilissimo e ottima posizione nell’isola di Praslin.

Indigne d’être hôtelier . Un établissement qui n’a comme seule finalité que de plumer le touriste assimilé à un pigeon . Chambre pas faite , restaurant fermé , petit déjeuner servi dans un autre restaurant , décoration horrible . Nous avons demandé le petit déjeuner dans la chambre . Il a été livré sans boisson , le serveur nous a indiqué qu’on pouvait prendre un espresso de la chambre . À la fin du séjour , ils nous ont facturé des extra pour ces cafés du petit déjeuner . Nous avons dans un premier temps refusé de payer mais ils nous ont traité de voleur et ont appelé la police ... Un peu fort de café ....cette histoire . À préciser que le séjour de 6 nuits nous a coûté la modique somme de 2100€ , je tiens à mentionner le bruit de travaux d’extension de l’hôtel toute la journée . Le service n’est vraiment au rendez-vous dans cet établissement ,le pire des hôtels de toute ma vie . Pas digne d’être sur votre site ...

Hotel au top !

Hotel magnifique et très bien placé au bord de l'eau et proche de toutes commodités (restos, petit supermarchés, épicerie, départ excursions...) dans le quartier de la Cote d'Or. Personnel au top, très réactif et adorable.. Merci à Nerrick en particulier pour son aide précieuse (réservation de billet d'avion, taxi). Hotel à seulement 10 minutes en voiture du port de Praslin et 10-15 minutes de l'aéroport, 15 minutes de l'une des plus belles plages du monde (Anse Lazio). Je vous le recommande !!!

Umfassendes Wohlgefühl

In diesem Hotel stimmt einfach alles (Zimmer, Restaurant, Pool, Bar, Umgebung etc.). Bereits der Empfang war sehr herzlich. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Die ganze Infrastruktur des Hauses passte und der Chef persönlich erkundigte sich nach dem wohlergehen seiner Gäste. Während unseres Aufenthaltes hatten wir einen Mietwagen um die gesamte Insel zu erkunden, jedoch zog es uns immer wieder am Abend zurück ins Hotel um den Abend mit einem ausgezeichneten Essen abzuschliessen. Demander à mon mari de porter un pantalon pour le dîner alors qu’il fait 30 degré, je trouve ça inacceptable. (Il portait un short en jeans)

Gut aber ohne extras...

Insgesamt ein schönes und sehr gepflegtes hotel. Personal ist nett aber nicht zuvorkommend. Inbegriffen in dem sehr teuren zimmerpreis ist lediglich eine flasche wasser am aller ersten tag und generell ist alles was über schlafen aus geht kostenpflichtig. Dies hinterlässt einen etwas faden beigeschmack für ein luxushotel.

Lune de miel au top

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour pour notre lune de miel. Repas +++ (3/3) Service +++ Couchage +++ Ambiance ++ Les repas sont excellents, nous avons vraiment apprécié, de nouvelles saveurs sobt présentées et bien expliquées par le personnel toujours avenant. Le personnel est très accueillant, aimable et présente bien les choses. Nous sommes un peu déçus lorsqu'il ny a pas eu de buffet et que le service s est fait à l'assiette mais cela reste personnel. Nous avons eu un groupe de musicien locaux très sympa. Un bémol pour la musique des autres soirs qui est souvent la même. Il manque un peu de musiciens ou de musique locale (prestation annulee pour 25 personnes). La chambre est impeccable, les deux piscines géniales. Le pantalon est obligatoire le soir pour les hommes (ce serait bien de le savoir lors de la réservation). La plage est à proximité et magnifique. Le café des arts est aussi bien situé. Un peu domage que les algues ne soient pas ramassées en cette période. Nous sommes globalement très satisfait de notre séjour qui vaut très bien les 3 étoiles (surtout les repas ;) )

Good environment, bad WiFi, balcony not private

Close to beach, the hotel is artistically tasteful. But the WiFi reception is really bad. You need a voucher to access the wifi and the voucher code gets invalid easily. I asked at least 4 vouchers. Also for the superior room, you are sharing your balcony with your neighbors. They only use a small bamboo partition to divide. This poses potential security risk. We never used our balcony for the entire time because our neighbors are always there.

Bel hôtel en bord de mer

L hôtel donne des serviettes pour la piscine et plage . Étions en 1/2 pension : repas excellents et dignent d un restaurant en France. Petit déjeuner buffet avec bcp de choix ( sucré et salé) et le cuisinier vous fait des crêpes, gaufres , œufs à la demande ... cet un très bel hôtel , nous le recommandons fortement. Le seul bémol, nous logions côté plage juste à côté du café des arts ( très réputé et qui fait partie de l’hote.. très bons cocktails avec des prix corrects)... et le soir c est un peu ambiance boîte de nuit et comme le bâtiment des chambres n est pas isolé et qu il n’y a pas de fenêtre à la SDB ( pas de vitrage) pour ceux qui ont le sommeil léger c est gênant.

Fabuleux

Superbe hôtel tout à côté de la plage, très calme et très propre. Nous avions 2 chambres : une pour les enfants ouverte sur une petite piscine quasi privée : vraiment top. Et avec mon mari, nous avons été surclassés en suite l’une de miel: fabuleux. Personnel aux petits soins. Séjour de 5 nuits formidable. Seul bémol : dîners un peu cher comme partout aux Seychelles. J’y retournerai volontiers.

Hotel enligt förväntan

+ Hotellet ligger ca 100 m från stranden. Stranden är fin och stor. Solstolar finns att låna för stranden. Stora rum. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. - Obekväma solstolar. Litet poolområde, känns mest som en barnpool. Mindre saker trassiga på rummet påverkade dock ej funktion.

Hotellet var bättre än förväntat. Jättemysig trädgård med flera fina detaljer och mysiga loungemöbler i poolområdet och på vår balkong. Vår familjesvit var jättestor och fin. Frukosten var jättegod och vi uppskattade även restaurangen vid stranden. Wi-fi svajade emellanåt men det var inget större problem.

Un hotel aux petits soins

Le service est vraiment excellent! La chambre immense et splendide! On est à côté de la plage. La piscine est belle et le mobilier autour très design! Je recommande!

Empfehlenswert

Grundsätzlich ist das Le Duc de Praslin ein solides 4-Sterne Hotel. Einzig der Service im Restaurant hat uns nicht überzeugt (unaufmerksam, teilweise unfreundlich und lustlos). Das Frühstück bietet eine ausreichende Auswahl, das Abendessen als Buffet punktet insbesondere mit den kreolischen Gerichten. Positiv hervorzuheben waren kostenfreie Upgrades (Zimmer, Minibar) aufgrund eines gegebenen Anlasses und die enge Zusammenarbeit mit dem gegenüberliegenden Café des Artes (sehr zu empfehlen). Das Hotel liegt 2 Minuten zu Fuß vom schönen Strand entfernt. Fazit: Ein empfehlenswertes solides 4-Sterne Hotel!

Le Duc de Praslin è una struttura di piccole dimensioni a due passi (meno di un minuto a piedi) da una delle spiagge più belle di Praslin (anse Volbert). Il personale dell'hotel è disponibile e molto premuroso. Le camere sono pulite e spaziose. Il ristorante, di stampo franco creolo, presenta sempre piatti molto curati e gustosi. Intorno all'hotel vi sono inoltre una serie di ristoranti ed un supermercato che permettono anche di non usufruire della mezza pensione. Esperienza quindi decisamente positiva in un piccolo angolo di paradiso.

Godt hotel

Meget flot hotel med flotte værelser rundt om poolen, kun en blok fra en god strand. Servicen fra den enkelte medarbejder var god, men der var alligevel en lidt overfladisk stemning på hotellet. Hotellet ser ud til at tiltrække mange børnefamilier, så hvis målet er en rolig og romantisk ferie for to, så er der andre og bedre alternativer.

Camere spaziose, parti comuni datate, piscina piccolissima, personale gentile, per 303€ al giorno in b&b mi aspettavo di piu. Ultimo dato: perché fan pagare il transfert per l’areoporto 50€ quando con qualunque taxista costa 28-30€ ?

Familienfreundlich Hotel mit ganz tollem Strand

Wir haben als Familie hier eine Woche verbracht. Die Hotelanlage ist sehr ansprechend. Das Familienzimmer mit eigener Veranda grandios. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig. Zu Abend haben wir dort nicht gegessen, da wir kein Buffet wollten. Ausflüge lassen sich problemlos arrangieren. Die Kinder mochten den Pool. Sehr gut haben uns die vielseitigen Liegen dort gefallen. Es gab immer ein Schattenplätzchen. Am Strand gab es auch immer Liegen und Schatten. Zum Schnorcheln ist der Strand mangels Riff nicht geeignet. Baden ist aber traumhaft schön.

Zimmer sind alle ohne Strandblick, Frühstück ist ausgiebig und schön, Personal wie an vielen Orten auf den Inseln wenig freundlich, einzelne Highlights bestehen, Preis/Leistung sicher überteuert, Strandabschnitt ist super, die Lage des Hotels erlaubt im Dorf Abend zu essen (und somit nicht umbedingt das überteuerte Buffet des Hotels zu benützten. Wobei das Kreole Buffet mit Livemusik sehr gut war).

Traumferien

Wir waren vor 3 Jahren von der Insel Mahe begeistert, Praslin hat dies aber noch übertroffen! Sehr empfehlenswert.

Nous avons séjourné à la Hillside Villa, les chambres sont très belles et confortables mais la cuisine et la salle de séjour sont rudimentaires, en tout cas pas adaptées à 5 personnes et la terrasse n'est pas très accueillante malgré ses chaises et éléments design car elle ne possède qu'une très petite lampe blanche qui rend l'atmosphère froide et sombre. Cette même villa avec un peu d'agencement bien pensé serait au top! Les prestations de l'hôtel sont par contre d'une grande qualité, le jardin, le buffet du petit déjeuner, les repas, le lounge bar, la piscine, la plage et ses équipements....petit bémol sur le jacuzzi un peu sale. J'ai apprécié surtout la gentillesse, la disponibilité du personnel.

Super Begrüßung mit Cocktail und Erfrischungstüchern, Riesen Zimmer, eigene Terrasse mit toller Außengarnitur mitten im Dschungel, türkises Meer nur 80 Meter entfernt und in Sichtweite, hervorragendes 4-Gänge-Menü abwechselnd mit authentischen kreolischem Buffet, Chef selbst vor Ort und sucht Kontakt zu Gästen. Unbedingt auch das Café des Arts besuchen - hat seinen Preis, mit grandioser Küche (Sterne Niveau), Klasse Weinen und erstklassigem Service, auch Gute Cocktails tagsüber. Immer wieder gerne!

Charming Hotel next to the beautiful beach.

We stayed 7 nights in a Garden view Family room with 4 persons. We felt comfortable all the time and the Hotel staff was always helpful. We enjoyed bed an breakfast and found the breakfast very complete with fresh fruits, omelets, juice, etc.
