The air conditioning was weak, at best. Made sleeping uncomfortable but tolerable.

Very nice resort! Love that you can go to any of the three beach areas. Food was okay, not great. Adult only pool was nice and we loved the Beach Club Lounge. Our room had an oceanview balcony.

Nice weather resort laid out well and relaxing

It was quiet and the property is beautiful and lush. The hotel though is older and not the 4.5 star advertised. The food was also not great but not terrible either. The staff were friendly but most were not engaging like at other resorts.

The ocean is very accessible and user friendly

Our return visit to Las Brisas Huatulco did not disappoint. The staff were always friendly and the service was always top notch, from reception, to the beach, to the restaurants. We didn’t spend any time at the pools but from what we saw the entertainment crew kept things hopping. The grounds are amazing. The groundskeepers are constantly trimming or raking. Tip them as well! They deserve it. This visit we stayed in the Mar section. The walk up to our room was a little easier than our previous visit. That said, the shuttles are always nearby and they will take you where you’d like to go if you’re not able to walk the hill or stairs to your room. The response to a couple of maintenance issues we had in our room were dealt with quickly and efficiently. The bed and linens were very comfortable.

Great beaches Resort had everything

The property location and beaches are excellent. However, it is quite dated and it shows. Staff, service and activity options are all great. Food is ok. Not many vegetarian options in the restaurants although the food presentation is very nice.

Property is great . It needs room updates , as they are dated . Food in buffet and restaurant was not suitable for vegetarian . Very limited options for vegetarian. Sometimes the food was labeled incorrectly as it had meat in item but not listed on label

Uniquely sprawling in the cliffs with beautiful flora and interesting architecture. Great beaches and pool area. Mexican food on buffets great, other food hit and miss. Upgrading to a junior suite was well worth it for the extra space, balcony and premium beverages.

The shuttle service was exceptional. All staff were pleasant and courteous. The speciality dining rooms were lovely. The buffet had plenty of choice. Especially liked the Beach Club for breakfast and appetizers. The staff there were outstanding. Rooms were damp with poor circulation. Consider adding a dehumidifier and the patio door screens kept falling off the track, however, maintenance was quick to repair torn screen. Unattractive paint work. Please add lounge chairs to the balcony and update the beach umbrellas Add more umbrellas to beach and pool and beach lounge chairs. Pool circulation and water feature was broken near the end of the stay. Beaches and pools were very clean.

I mobilize with a cane so truly appreciated the shuttle service, though did climb the stairs (153 steps) as well. First 4 days the mini-fridge was not restocked daily as were told would be, even after going to the front desk to have the issue resolved; ok after repeated requests, no issue getting water from any of the bars to take back to room. Good variety of food. Weather was 30 daily -no rain, few clouds, light breeze some days. 3 GREAT beaches & grassy area to use with palapas or umbrellas, loungers in good supply but do get claimed early. Same for pool loungers. Would be nice to have a few more regular beach chairs for people to sit on instead of just being used to hold stuff! More trash bins at the beach to encourage everyone to help keep the beach clean. Birds & squirrels on beach a bit annoying because of tourists that insist on feeding them. Taxi service to La Crucetia easy, quick -readily available for return -from our resort was 100pesos. Felt safe walking around the streets & shops. Rented a scooter from TuMoto Jerry & Cruz were very accommodating to deal with. Large market a block off the central square with all the touristy items for much less than the resort gift shops. Note: Mexico is a cash society, not credit card Resort staff were fantastic, some who deserve to be commended: servers Roberto,Lesli-so many others, beach server Ochityl (IT WAS our pleasure),grill chef Cecelio Omar will also give you spanish lessons while you are waiting.

Great stay at Las Brisas, Huatulco.

All aspects of the property were tweaked and cleaned and looking their best continually. Public areas, especially washrooms were cleaned constantly throughout the day. All staff even maintenance people were unfailingly friendly. Waiters and waitresses greeted every guest with genuine warmth. Amazing.

Breathtakingly beautiful, staff were all amazing, kind and welcoming. Come prepared to walk stairs. Snorkeling was excellent. Would definitely go back!

The resort had a little private cove which was my fave spot. The tide is low that you can stand or float in water all day long. The weather is perfect every day!

Great ambience. Built on a steep hillside so caters to reasonable fit people. Food is very good apart from the meat, which is usually quite tough.

We loved all 3 of the beaches, the main pool is great as well. The buffet had many options and was typical of a good buffet at a resort. Some of our meals in the restaurants were subpar, so that was really our only disappointment. The property is spacious and lovely, lots of walking paths, and shuttles always readily available when needed.

We thought this was a great vacation spot. The beaches were fabulous and the staff were generally great. Sometimes the food was a bit weird but we always could find something to enjoy. We had one bad serving experience at the Kasbah, but the main issues is we didn’t know we were VIP until checkout!! Our check in experience was terrible and I already send a comment about it, but it hit worse because apparently we had special VIP privileges that were never told to us!! We found out from another guest 2 days before we left that we got access to special alcohol, and that the reason we could book at a restaurant was each night was because we were VIP, but apparently there was a special BBC lounge/restaurant in our complex that we could have been using for breakfast, coffee, drinks and appetizers. We never knew it existed. So while we had a generally lovely time we are really disappointed that we paid for something that was never disclosed. We would recommend this place but they need to sort out their staff for check-in and at the Kasbah.

We liked the size and scope of the property and all the activities it offers. Sailing, water sports, tennis and pickleball. Food was average to good. People with disabilities or difficulties in walking may not like this resort due to uneven walking conditions

Close to the beach and the ocean was amazing

Need orientation upon arrival. Need english speakers at front dest. Need to honor reservation. I requested 2 Queen beds and got 1 King. This negatively effected my vacation.

Food selection was awful and very bland along with sections of food. Their beef was a very poor quality and taste. I would recommend that Expedia take there VIP rating away from this property as it’s not a 4 star resort.

The beaches here are amazing. Snorkling is great around the reef. Food was good, always had great selections at the buffet. Service on the beach is excellent. Lots of stairs, but we liked that, gardens are amazing around the whole complex, which is huge, you can use shuttles to get around if you don't want to walk.

The resort is very clean and well maintained. The service is excellent. When I requested an accessible room they were very accommodating. It is a large property with 24 hour shuttles. We will visit this resort again.

Wonderful resort! The beach was beautiful and we enjoyed snorkeling right at the resort. The rooms were comfortable and we had a beautiful ocean view. The staff are friendly and very attentive. There was a good selection of food items at the buffet. We were also happy with the variety of activities offered daily.

Older place but still very nice and clean. Our room was very clean , the bed was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Lots of stairs around so be prepared. They have shuttles everywhere if walking is an issue. The staff was all amazing and so friendly I would definitely stay here again!

The weather in early Jan was perfect. The tennis courts were outstanding. The tennis pro was very helpful. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The beaches were good, the rooms were spacious and air conditioned. Breakfast was the best meal.

Charming old resort in a beautiful location but due for major renovation

Just returned from an all inclusive week at Las Brisas. Great beach vacay! Snorkelling along coral right of the beach (can see fish in shallow water!). We saw loads of fish, including some large schools and a manta ray. Food was good. Service was great. Resort is dated and rooms could use renos/updates. Cabs into town are easy to get and affordable (about $100 pesos).

Scammers once you get there, property is great, rooms are old, great beaches, poor quality food and beverages, half of the staff are very nice there others are ok, a few a very unfriendly, dirty bathrooms.

This was our second family trip at las Brisas and I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Perfect for families.the hotel has easy access to different beaches, great food, and a relaxing pool.

Food is very average. Ordinary. In mediterranean restaurant i was limited of soup or salad. And this is expensive all inclusive resort. Beach is 2 stars. Rooms are huge.

Adalia and Nayeli in beach club are fabulous made our trip so much more enjoyable. These two always go above and over and provide excellent service. The resort is lucky to have such staff. Would definitely stay there again.

It was a pleasant experience. We had a great time using the pools and easy access to the beach.

Although a bit dated and worn, the unique location, gorgeous water and beaches and unique Oaxacan food were excellent. The entertainment performers were amazing as well. I didn't really like to cocktail drinks as there were very sugary and weak in alcohol flavour

This property is huge! 4 beaches & 4 pools. So many activities. A dream vacation for those who like tennis, pickleball, volleyball or basketball....among other activities. Miles an miles of walking both on paths as well as the "wilderness". Abundant wildlife and calm ocean waters ideal for snorkeling. Incredible views. Lots of places to be with people, but also lots of places to be alone. Great destination for weddings and anniversary celebrations. The staff were all top notch from check in to check out. Food was abundant and excellent. Lots of a la carte restaurants available. We met many people who had been there multiple times and we look forward to going back! This resort doesn't have elevators, but has been made somewhat accessible. Patrons must be able to navigate some stairs and be able to move from a wheelchair to a golf cart. Wheelchair ramps are quite steep. Don't let that scare you away, just something to be aware of.

Amazing vacation! Had a great time at Las Brisas. The hotel is quite large and very sprawled out, but never an issue finding a seat anywhwre. With 2 pools and 3 beaches, there is room for all. Shuttlea are readily available to transport you around the grounds if you choose not to walk. Like many comments, we preferred to walk and get some steps in, see the views, etc. The food was fantastic, and the hotel staff was amazing. We met and talked with so many locals working there!! Can't wait to go back.

My second time to Las Brisas and I have test to be disappointed by the food or service ect. I recommend this resort to all my friends and family. It’s never over crowded and the service id amazing. I will be back!

I liked the facilities service etc but would have liked to have more activities included like around the beach or closeby since we had to boom something through a 3rd party. Overall good place you get complimentary breakfast from different restaurants and a special dinner at night so I recommend coming here and free drinks

This resort was beyond fantastic! The staff, the food choices and quality were excellent. This place is not expensive but it feels like you should be paying more. They did a fantastic job and I highly recommend going. Also, the flight from Vancouver does not seem that much farther than Puerto Vallarta.

Great snorkeling area. 1000's of tropical fish.

Food quality in some restaurant not up to par. Boating attendants on the lazy side and not overly helpfull Service is all other areas was exccellent, curteous and friendly.

Safe access to ocean swimming. Friendly staff. Kayak needed attention as the hull was full of water. Sailing was wonderful. Bird tour was interesting. Weddings were noisy and made sleep challenging. Would love an information evening to learn about the area, culture, history and coral reef.

Loved it. Excellent service. Excellent food. Very large property, so a lot of walking required. There are frequent, onsite shuttles if you don’t want to walk.

Main reason to choose this resort was the beaches are easy,no big waves. Beds are comfy.The AC was not great but I heard from others they were fine. Huatulco is too hot for us though.

Slightly disappointed this time with our room

The staff are all excellent, the beaches fabulous. Swimming in the ocean is fabulous as well. They also have plenty of loungers and chairs. The hours to get towels are plentiful. We have stayed several times and rooms are very dated to the price point. This time we were disappointed with the condition of our room considering we chose the highest grade room with BBC. The coach in our room was very dirty and torn, the ocean view obstructed by a lot of vegetation (which would be fine if paying for a partial view), the bathroom had a massive stain on the vanity. These things had been mentioned 3 different times. We stayed 2 weeks and in that time the couch wasn’t cleaned. We didn’t use due to how dirty it was. I am up very earlier and like to walk and enjoy the sunrise. I am walking while dark so get to witness the security and set ups. They do a wonderful job and feel very secure walking and see them checking all around the resort. We also always enjoy massages while there and highly recommend. We had Coco and as always fantastic, that we chose extra ones. We have had others in the past and they were fabulous as well. The staff in the restaurants, beach, spa, drivers, bars, all areas provide exceptional service.
