The apartment was lovely. We had room 14 and with windows closed it was perfectly quiet despite a busy night scene. Lots of restaurants in easy walking distance. Great location for sight-seeing. Breakfast is vegan which we did not realize ahead of time. The pancakes were yummy but limited options. Staff very nice.

The property and rooms are beautiful, location is perfect and we would absolutely return. However, the communication isn't great. We had to chase an email prior to arriving and we arrived early for our check in and couldn't get into our room, understandable. However, we had booked the apartment with a steam room but this was changed and we didn't find out until we returned that evening when reception isn't available. We were only there for 1 night and haven't yet been able to get an answer as to why this happened and why it wasn't communicated to us. If have to get to the airport for a morning flight, breakfast doesn't start until 7:30 a.m.

Convenient. Good room ,friendly staff

Our suite was unique and had all the amenities we expected- kitchenette was a good size. TV was not great but our fault for not asking to have it fixed- too much else to do! reception staff very helpful ( only there 8-4). we did not take the breakfast option but continental/vegan was available.

Beautiful place with excellent staff. One suggestion: like so many European hotels, good lighting for makeup is lacking. Better than some, but not great.

The staff was welcoming, and check-in was smooth and efficient. The property is well-maintained, clean, and very comfortable, with a fantastic location that offers convenient access to many nearby attractions. Overall, I highly recommend staying here!

This was a great property in a good location. Our apartment was large and comfortable. Great bed, kitchen and bathroom. The TV has Netflix which is a good way to relax after a busy day of exploring. Rooms are only cleaned every 3 days. It would be better if towels and bins were changed every 2 days. The breakfast was vegan, which was not advertised when booking. There were no signs on any of the food to know what we were eating. There was tofu instead of eggs, for example. For people with intolerances or allergies, signs are needed clearly indicating what the food items at breakfast are. Breakfast was fine. For hot food, they can make toast with avocado, mushrooms and tofu or pancakes. These were good dishes. Staff were pleasant and neighbourhood was very quiet. Great for a good night’s sleep. We would recommend and would stay again.

Wonderful 3 night stay. Room was beautiful with a bottle of wine, water and snacks waiting upon our arrival. Perfect location for visiting the city. Would definitely recommend this hotel .

Great place to stay for a few days

A very nicely styled boutique hotel, with plenty of open stonework which is quite typical of the area. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and well appointed, with a small kitchen if you wish to use it. The staff were very friendly and helpful - they can tell you places to visit in Porto. The breakfast was lovely, and plenty of it. The hotel location is great, in the north part of the old town.

Vegan / Plant based Breakfast and restaurant was a bonus for us! It was a lovely designed and comfortable room. The receptionist there were super friendly and insightful, giving us great tips for the city ( Thank you! ) . The walk into town was only a few minutes. I will definitely stay here again when staying in Porto.

Location is good, 10 minutes walk to the major metro station, old town and shopping. Friendly front desk staff, speedy check in and out. Nice to have Housekeeping service every other day.

We were obsessed with this place! The rooms were huge and so beautiful. The front desk staff were so amazing and helpful. They gave us recommendations for places to visit and places to eat and helped us figure out transportation. We even got to use the pool at the sister property! Laranjais was central to a lot of walkable tourist destinations in Porto. We were so happy with our stay!!

We had a wonderful stay at Laranjais but a word of caution for those choosing to stay here. If you don’t want to include the daily breakfast that costs approximately 15 euros per person, ensure this choice at time of booking. I did not choose the daily breakfast, but after we checked out and left the property, we received an additional invoice for daily breakfasts totalling 108 euros. We have been told by hotel management that there is no refund and we have to take it up with Expedia.

this was the perfect place for our honeymoon — the best location, welcoming staff, and lovely furnishings & decor. couldn’t have been better.

We really enjoyed our stay. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean, quiet and a nice cool temperature since it was quite hot when we were there.

Design of the whole property is beautiful. We like the little kitchen area for coffee and tea. It was bad that we couldn’t enjoy the cute terrace because of the rain.

Extra accommodating staff. Clean,quiet and modern

Laranjais is a small hotel in a newly renovated (very old) building. It is very well located on a quiet street (not far from areas that are much noisier and congested), and was within a short walk of a large number of restaurants and cafes. The hallways and rooms are quite charming, as they have original stone walls with new floors and very modern finishes. The staff was great. Our small suite (the staff call them apartments) was reasonably sized and comfortable, but had some strange design issues. Most importantly, there was no light switch in the bathroom; if you got up at night to use the bathroom, the only way to turn the light on was with a switch that also turned on multiple very bright ceiling lights in the sink area outside of the bathroom -- this would wake up anyone sleeping in the adjacent bedroom (which is connected to the sink room by a large arch). Overall, however, Laranjais was clean and comfortable, and the staff were extremely helpful.

Great hotel feels like home

This room was super well located, comfy and spacious. The guests are definitely there for our needs and eager to help. I stayed there with my 22 years old daughter and were happy after a weekend walking and eating out in Porto to relax and stay in and order in. Great hotel !

Laranjais

Excellent accommodation, ideal for the main train station and city sites, all within 25 minute walk. Staff were very helpful, especially Carlota. Port sample on arrival was a nice touch. Would certainly return to this accommodation.

Room 17 @ 331 Rua do Almada was exactly as advertised. Well appointed; great sofa and bed. Spacious. Private quiet balcony. Walkable to all points of interest. Book it if available!

Laranjais is a hidden jem boutique hotel. Luis was the other staff were amazing with great recommendations. Wish our stay there had been longer.

Laranjais exceeded our expectations! We were greeted by Luis who told us about the neighborhood and the sights. He escorted us to our apartment which was warm, cozy, clean and quiet! Especially nice was that bottled water as well as tea and coffee were supplied and replenished as needed. Our 5-night stay was great! We were able to relax after days of sightseeing! Luis recommended the quaint restaurant Almada 333 directly across from apartment! Superb! Overall great location, super property and great hosts!

Lovely stay at Laranjais! We had the two bedroom suite with a pleasant check in process. Enjoyed the complimentary port wine and chocolate too. Both rooms were comfortable with nice toiletries in bathrooms. Big fluffy towels. Room lighting a bit dark but we weren’t in room much. One evening we were hiking and needed a place for dinner…called the reception and they were helpful obtaining a table at the next door Almada 331 which is delicious! Would recommend this hotel for its pleasing rooms and close to most everything walkable in Porto,
