Stayed over Christmas & found the resort perfect for us (2 adults & 2 older kids) - really impressed with the layout & space of the modern two bedroom accommodation! Beautiful grounds & setting overlooking the beach with lots of restaurants located within walking distance.

Eco friendly plastic free resorts on the beach. Guests are mostly German and Scandinavians.

The check in was abrupt and not welcoming; the priority was to sell us as much as possible via an app they wanted us to download. We barely had time to draw breath! The hotel grounds and facilities were lovely and well kept but the atmosphere around the hotel was impersonal not particularly friendly and there didnt seem to be many happy people appreciating being in a little piece of paradise. We spent as much time away from there as possible.

The spa was wonderful and the many pools were so fun.

La Flora offers everything you need for a nice family getaway. It has great facilities for kids and variety of food selection to suit kids all ages. Friendly Staff and Locals. Rooms are clean and roomy. Definitely be back again.

Love La Flora, this was our 9th stay. Convenient for local restaurants and market. Staff are great, location on the beach is fantastic, especially for sunset happy hour with a cocktail or two while watching the setting sun.

Wonderful family stay

Beautiful hotel right on the beach and with lots of local restaurants just outside. We all had a wonderful time, especially our 3 year old. Breakfast was great. Restaurant was quite expensive for dinner so we didn't book to try it but the restaurants near by are great quality and so cheap! Cocktails were amazing. All the staff at the pool bar in the main pool were lovely and great with kids. We had the most basic day room but it was spacious with a huge bed and a lovely walk in shower. The air con was amazing and kicked in quickly when we got back to the room.

Lovely hotel in a fantastic location.

Wonderful location which enabled you to enjoy the nightlife of Khao Lak. The hotel was really nice, rooms were very spacious, although the beds were quite hard. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. In terms of location, the hotel is right on the beach, but also only about 100 metres from a couple of busy streets that were full of bars and restaurants, but you still couldn’t here any noise once you were in your room. The staff were delightful and so pleasant. The main swimming pool was lovely, but if you were lucky enough to have a swim up room, then even better. Also we ate at the hotel a couple of times and the food was very nice. Overall a great hotel in a fantastic location.

Brilliant hotel

Amazing stay. Great hotel. Fantastic location. Lovely with all the lights up at Christmas for the evenings. Breakfast brilliant and short walk to a number of lovely restaurants if don’t want to eat at hotel (a little pricey compared to local restaurants). Didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to come back!

Not soo good, aircon broken on small old gym, no internet there either, room wasn't cleaned one day and toiletries not replenished, waited 30 mins for drink in happy hour, same menu in both restaurants/bar lunch and dinner. Beach front is washing away and rows of sunloungers are packed in.

Property was very nice

The hotel is really pretty however DONT go there if you want a relaxing trip away. This hotel is mainly a family only hotel, the noise in the pool area is horrendous and even when you head to the loungers on the beach your never far away from a screaming baby. The hotel should not allow balls and inflatables in the pool this just encourages shouting. Jumping in the pool isn't allowed but is never enforced. Never did we see anyone use the children's area. The hotel needs an adults only quiet area by the pool and beach. Such a shame we won't go back because its a beautiful please with lovely staff.

This was a wonderful resort, great breakfast buffet, the staff were extremely helpful. Wewent on day trip to see the James Bond Islands with guide. Totally recommend you see it with a luncheon included on floating restaurant. Food was yummy! Pool was near beach and between hotel room buildings that was artistic and with pool bar! We would go back!! For those with children it was very family friendly.

Nice stay! Very good accommodation and premises. The rooms are really good! More than I expected! Three items the hotel could improve: (1) Better resources for games and activities. Not enough, and not in good condition at the moment. (2) Although the service provided in the restaurant is very good, the breakfast is not tasty. (3) After 7 pm, no one can use the swimming pool, the spa and the gym are closed. They should open until 10 pm. If we leave for a day trip, we will miss the time for enjoying the hotel premises. Nothing available at the hotel apart of the restaurant.

Lovely hotel, food wasn't so great though.

The location is amazing, right on the beach and close to the many restaurants and shops. The staff were also very friendly, really made an effort to make it fun for the guests. The food and drinks are of a good quality and very reasonably priced in comparison to everywhere else we visited in Thailand. The rooms are a little tired but we honestly hardly spent any time in them as there’s so much to do around the area.

Great service and staff, slightly tired decor

Great service, fantastic breakfast with lots of choice and lovely beachfront setting, and very good spa. Local restaurants nearby plus other hotels too for dinner options, and lovely beach. Cons: slightly tired in room decor and very expensive day trips. Quite small in size overall. Restaurant ok - one night good, the other not so. Seems ok value for money, and we enjoyed our stay overall!

The property is nice albeit a little tired, but tennis court and ping pong table were not available, despite being advertised. Our hot water was intermittently unavailable, which they looked into immediately. The use of straws (sometimes 2 per drink + a swizzle stick!) and single use water bottles is something I would like to see changed, especially given the local understanding of turtle conservation. Overall it was a good experience, but the sister hotel Kokulo, a couple doors along the beach, was a big improvement in terms of food (especially breakfast), friendly/welcoming service and general ‘vibe’. They too have not switched to glass bottles or a policy of straws only upon request. I hope all 3 in the group will do so very soon.

Stunning location!

Just lovely! The beach is fabulous! The rooms are excellent! The pool is superb! Great location ...lots of cute bars and restaurants.

Good location, service room net improvement

The location is really good. I don’t advise to swimming in the beach because there are a lot of rocks. The room was not cleaned proper, sheets were not replaced every day, they don’t replace the soap if you do not ask as well.

Great location hotel

Our room was clean and spacious. Toilet was really nice. We had the sunny side of pool access room which was great. The only downside was mozzies. We did not expect so much mozzies which I guess could have been not a problem if we had prepared insect repellent. But this was the only downside. Otherwise everything else was good. Staff were very friendly and always had a smile and greeting for you. And the location was super good. Shops just outside the hotel. Bang Niang market is a short walk away only. So convenient. Lots of nice restaurants near us as well. Restaurant at the hotel had nice cappuccino and mocha. Thank you for the lovey trip!

Have just had 10 days at this excellent hotel. The location is great, right on the beach with many shops and restaurants close by.

Home from home

This hotel is in an excellent location being directly on the beach and close to all the bars and restaurants. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are quite large and comfortable and have a separate shower and bath, TV, tea making facilities, hairdryer, and plenty drawer and hanging space. There is also a day bed in the room. The hotel has fitness and spa facilities. There are lots of comfortable sun beds down near the beach which are among the many coconut trees. During our stay we never had trouble getting a sunbed, although to get a sunbed on the front line you would need to get up early. The hotel has 3 happy hours a day, 1pm - 2pm, 5pm - 6pm, and 9pm - 10pm when most drinks are 2 for one. This hotel is a very efficiently run hotel and always as a air of peace and calm.

Excellent holiday hotel in Khao Lak.

An excellent well run holiday hotel.Good beach and pools and a reasonably priced bar.Didn't eat in the restaurant apart from breakfast which was excellent.Local Thai restaurants within 5 mins walk are exceptional.Rooms very good and comfortable.Some if the buildings beginning to look tired and a refurb must be due.Local taxis cheaper than hotel service taxis.

superb staff make this lovely beachside hotel

stayed for 6 days after touring in Cambodia & Vietnam....much needed beachside rest and we werent disappointed. we had spacious bungalow room close to beach pool and restaurant and it couldn't be faulted. highlights were most friendly and helpful staff, breakfast with widest selection we have encountered despite having travelled widely. lunches and eveni g meals were good and competitively priced but lots of local restaurants to try too. overall excellent.

Nice hotel on the beach

We stayed here for 5 nights and loved every day. The staff are super friendly and the rooms are well looked after, the bed was super comfy and the spa is a must at this hotel. The price is a little more than you can find elsewhere but you get what you pay for. Can see why they won the best spa in the world. We had 2 spa treatments and my only regret is that i had to leave and could not have more. Would recommend this hotel it is a little pricey but was a perfect end to the holiday.

Chilling out

The staff are all very helpful. Check in very good. The room very nice, comfortable bed, all the usual extra's provided. The restaurant provided a good choice of food for breakfast, again good service. Only two swimming pools but never overcrowded. The beach was just a few steps away, and beach towels provided every day, but the fawn ones were rarther very worn and needed replaceing. But overall very good hotel.

Spa hotel on the beach

Stayed 6 nights with spouse and friends, March 14-20, 2015. This is a very nice spa hotel, on the beach. Check-in was efficient. The hotel staff is excellent and capable. The breakfast has nice selection, and ala carte menu has enough choices to skip the short walk into town for a meal, if you feel like staying in. Not a lot of close restaurants open for lunch in town. Things get busier in the evening. Many activities, if you want to stay busy. Otherwise, the pools are nice, and the beach is beautiful. It is pretty far from the airport.

Relaxing in Khao lak

We landed at Phuket Airport, hired a car and arrived at La Flora at 12:30 a.m. What a welcome site La Flora was; resplendent with thousands of fairy lights and a receptionist who couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming. (It would have been helpful to have better directions to the hotel - finding it in the dark would have been impossible had I not asked a local for directions who then drove his motor bike to show us the way. Thai people are so genuine and helpful. The room was clean, well-presented and well-equipped (and stayed that way during our stay). Receiving two bottles of water each day and an evening treat was a nice touch. We had a room on the top floor which looked across the centre - well-pleased with it. Only slight issue was noise of air con units on the roof could sometimes be a bit annoying. No room was in full sun or facing sea. The big strength of this hotel are its staff and its restaurant. All the staff were delightful - so welcoming and attentive. That applied to the staff right across the complex. I have never had a better breakfast than here - such a selection. There were small changes each day so you never knew what there might be - perhaps papaya and and not longons, strawberry juice and not flower juice, dims sums or not, sushi or not, banana pancake or plain, random Thai curries, eggs galore, cakes, cold cuts, - I could go on and on. I am glad that they offer so many Thai specialities - I get really annoyed when hotels just offer cosmopolitan breakfasts of bacon, eggs and plastic cheese. The breakfast was great (not sure about the christmas music that accompanied it though!). After a couple of nights, we realised that the evening meals in the hotels were cheaper and much much better than those in town so we ate there a few times. We also went to one of the banquet evenings which was excellent, great value, fun (and a learning experience). We had cocktails in the happy hour (OK) - too pricey outside of this. Cocktails are not really La Flora's strength.b We took out the canoe a few times (free for an hour). Sailing cost money particularly the hobby cat which was £30/hours (prohibitive and rather mean, It sat unused the whole time we were there).I can't remember if the web site actually makes that clear. We played tennis too - good racquets etc.. There is a fun floating rjetty that may cause you to feel a little drunk! I dived off it several times but there are occasional prickly little bits in the water from ex-jellyfish.The beach is lovely. when the tide is low, a very lovely walk is available past the other hotels to deserted beaches. You can pop in for a cocktail/meal on the beach restaurants (not many left now - we think they have been recently closed), or a massage. People were selling bits and pieces on the beach but were not at all intrusive - just added ambience. One enterprising lady was selling hot food snacks which went down well. We didn't do any of the trips; we had our own car so we checked out about four national parks and surroundings. So fantastic to have these on the doorstep. We arranged our own snorkeling trip to the Similan Islands as a lot cheaper than hotels private boat. Would definitely go back. If you require anything, just ask nicely and the staff are so helpful, one day our car had a flat battery and in no time the receptionist jumped onto a moped and returned with jump leads to get us going, all part of the service with a smile.

Third time back..... :-)

Just back from another great 2 week holiday in Khao Lak and La Flora. We have visited numerous places in Thailand over the past 15 years but this hotel and Khao Lak is the only place which we have chosen to come back to on consecutive years as the area and people are wonderful - there's a night life if you want it and there's also quiet if you want that. The hotel is right on Bang Niang beach and the staff are wonderful - always very welcoming and cannot do enough for you - thanks guys! The hotel itself is just beautiful - it gets better and better as ably demonstrated by the presence of other guests who we have met over the previous years also revisiting for the same reasons - and at the same time of year. An amazing time once more. Some things in the area have changed - the army has cleared the beach of all the adjacent bars and restaurants but now these are starting to be rebuilt again as licenses have been agreed. Those that were on the beach relocated in the interim and some are now found even closer to the hotel - Aroy is now on the approaching road to the hotel and the Thai Bar is near the temple close to the Tsunami Memorial Park, however, there is still food available on the beach during the day if you don't want a full sit down meal in the restaurant or what's on offer - sweet chilli chicken sticks freshly barbecued by the locals and fresh fruit at a steal. We still haven't completed our list of things to do here as we make too many friends/meet too many old friends along the way so we'll just have to go back again next year - can't wait!! Nice hotel on the beach

We enjoyed La Flora although I think we would try a different hotel if we returned to Khoa Lak. Location was nice on the beach and the included buffet breakfast was very good. Room comfort was ok - bathroom had a significant musty smell and bed was just ok.

Over priced!! And staff lack attention to detail!!

This hotel is over priced for what you get!! I go to Thailand for a cultural experience. All the music was American tunes!! Staff lack attention and urgency to their guests!! And pictures very misleading on Expedia. Would DEFINATELY not stay here or recommend anyone else to stay. Much nicer hotels in this area. Town was very quaint. Shopping is good!!

Great hotel meters from the beach.... Good for an extended weekend or 5 days stay, but too little to do for a week or more. Surrounding area is very quiet but great for a family stay. Hotel staff is extremely friendly and rooms are big and very clean. Prices in Khao Lak are generally higher compared to similar locations like Surin Beach.

Vi havde værelse med adgang til pool, som var virkelig lækkert og rent. Eneste minus var at man ikke kunne lukke helt af til badeværelset. Superlækker morgenmadsbuffet med masser at vælge imellem og dejlige pools og strand.

1番安いお部屋でも広さは十分で、食事もとても美味しかったです。 部屋の清掃はちょっと甘いところがあるかなと思いますが、概ね満足しています。 プールアクセスのお部屋が多いのはとても良いのですが、その分プールが複数に分かれていて一つ一つが小さく、水質もあまり良くないように感じました。プールはお隣のラベラカオラックの方が好みです。 お得なホテルクレジットがあるので、ホテル内で使う予定の金額に合えば購入することをお勧めします。レストランやスパで使えるようです。 ホテル公式アプリのDLを勧められました。 ポケットコンシェルジュなる機能でフロント？とチャットでやりとりできるとのことなので、それは便利だなと期待したのですが、2泊3日の滞在中にチャットのレスが返ってくることはなかったです。(ちなみに、栓抜きが欲しいが借りられるか？という相談でした) スパの予約などはアプリから簡単にできたので、そこはとても便利だと思います。

Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Die Lage ist perfekt. Man hat alles fussläufig in der Nähe, Restaurants, Supermarkt, Night market ect. Das Frühstück und das Personal ist super. Auch das seefood buffet am Abend (kostenpflichtig) ist genial. Feuer-Show und Abendunterhaltung runden alles ab. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und sind glücklich wieder nach Hause geflogen. Vielen Dank!

The best wellness experience

La Flora is a perfect hotel for a lovely stay with family. Also as a couple. Great location with walking distance to all you need. The lokal area is very Thai and there are many nice restaurants where we had great food! Many tours can be arranged from the main street just outside the hotel. Great and many pools. Quit place and you feel super relaxed. Happy hour at different pools and time slots. Good restaurant and a huge breakfast buffet. Service was absolutely the best we have ever experienced.

Overraskende godt hotel!!

Skønt og overraskende ophold. God mad og sødt personale. Nok et af de bedre hoteller i Thailand og jeg har alligevel prøvet 40-45 stk.

Gepflegte Pool Anlage. Sehr gutes wlan. Reichhaltiges und abwechslungsreiches Frühstücksbuffett. Personal recht anonym, Zimmerservice recht oberflächlich, sehr kurzer Strandabschnitt begrenzt durch Felsen. Wir waren im Juli da. Hotel nicht ausgelastet und damit genügend Sitz- und Liegeplätze. Bang Niang Market fussläufig erreichbar, Khao Lak Shopping Meile mit dem Taxi 200 Bat.

Hôtel génial ! Super la chambre avec accès direct piscine ,spacieuse,même avec un ado. Emplacement idéal près de très nombreux restaurants et commerces. Plage ,bar ,petit déjeuner, les nombreuses piscines…Bref nous avons adoré notre séjour à la Flora .

Sehr schönes Hotel mit schönen Zimmern, einem guten Restaurant und sehr gutem Service. Wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen. Auch die Kinderbetreuung war sehr gut. In der Umgebung kann gibt es viele Restaurants und mit einem Taxi kann man einfach die Umgebung erkunden. Immer wieder gern.

Très bel établissement, très grand mais pourtant relativement calme. Belles piscines. Très belles chambres avec bonne literie. Propreté impeccable. Excellent petit déjeuner ! L'hôtel est très bien situé, proche du marché de bang Niang et de plein de petits restaurants et boutiques, on peut tout faire à pieds.

Sehr empfehlenswert. Personal sehr freundlich. Anlage sehr sauber.

Lovely time at La Flora

Very nice and good hotel, we had very pleasent stay there.

Top Lage mitten in Khao Lak/Bangniang. Wir sind immer in der näheren Umgebung essen gegangen, da man dort teilweise für 40-80 Baht pro Person zahlt. Ohne Getränke. Desweiteren empfehlen wir unbedingt einen Roller, bspw. bei 5 Star auf der Hauptstraße. So ist man immer flexibel unterwegs. Frühstück im Hotel war immer gut, Auswahl groß genug. Die Getränke im Hotel sind extrem teuer. Großes Chang 220 Baht, im Kiosk gegenüber 65 Baht.

Gut gelegen. Meer mit Strand (noch!). Viele Pools und Bars. Günstige Restaurants und Shops ganz im der Nähe. Auch im Hotel gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Die Zimmer und die Hotelanlage ist sehr schön. Leider ist aber der Bereich am Strand komplett überlaufen. Die Vergrösserung des Hotels um 4 neue Blöcke hat dies leider verschlimmert. Wer wie an der Adria Liegestuhl an Liegestuhl (Abstand 40cm) liegen möchte ist hier am richtigen Ort. Wer aber mehr Platz möchte, dem empfehle ich nach einen anderen Hotel umzuschauen.

Es war alles super wie vor 4 Jahren, eigentlich noch besser. Die neuen Zimmer sind der Hammer und das Personal super freundlich -Leider hat es aber viel zu viel Leute am Pool / Strand. Auch sind am Morgen um 7.00 Uhr die besten Plätze am Meer schon alle belegt von Leuten die dann in Wirklichkeit erst um 10.30 Uhr erscheinen. Das ist das einzige Minus. Schade.

Urlaub im Paradies

Grandios, wir waren so zufrieden mit unserem großen Zimmer und dem Grand Pool Access. Es war einfach ein Traumhotel im Paradies Thailand.

Schönes Hotel am Strand von Khao Lak. Angenehme Zimmer. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet. Gutes Unterhaltungsprogramm. Schöne Auswahl im hoteleigenen Restaurant. Gutes Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis.

Ich kenne diese Anlage schon viele Jahre-es ist für mich wie ein nach Hause kommen. Leider ist durch den Umbau der familiäre Charakter verloren gegangen. Es sind viele Unterkünfte mehr, der Strand ist aber natürlich nicht größer geworden. Leider war auch kein deutschsprachiger Ansprechpartner mehr anwesend.

This was our second stay at La Flora and we loved it just as much as last time. Great and friendly staff, perfect location and just the perfect hotel for us.

Tolles Familienhotel . Es ist sehr groß und weitläufig, jedoch machen einem die Wege aufgrund der tollen Gestaltung und Bepflanzung der Anlage nichts aus. Wünschenswert wäre noch eine zweite Rampe zu den Liegen, damit man zB mit dem Kinderwagen dort besser hinkommt. Der Kindetgarten ist top ☺️

Alldeles för mycket gäster för utomhusmiljön. För många solstolar på en för liten plats. Liten pool för mängden gäster.. och för mycket folk vid frukosten..så överlag alldeles för många gäster, det upplevdes väldigt trångt! Vi fick ett rum som låg långt borta från poolområdet och restaurangen, vi var inte helt nöjda även om rummen va fräscha. Skräpig strand! Positivt var frukostbuffén och läget. Osäkert om vi skulle boka detta hotell igen!

Det er tredje gang vi er på La Flora. Alltid fin velkomst og imøtekomme personale. Rent og fint. Vi var der i julen og det var fint pyntet og alt var veldig hyggelig.

Hôtel très agréable où le service est parfait et les petits déjeuners variés. Le seul petit problème est que notre chambre était un peu trop près de là machinerie de la piscine ce qui est gênant pour dormir la nuit

Mooie luxe accommodatie aan zee. Bewust vip gekozen bij het boeken van dit hotel. Helaas geen upgrade gekregen omdat geen kamer beschikbaar was. Ook niet later mogen uitchecken helaas. Alleen op het eten en frisdrank korting gekregen. De luxe kamers zijn groot en een grote badkamer met een heerlijke stortdouche. De ligging tov de winkels en massage salons top. Het eten was heerlijk, wel iets duurder dan in de restaurants om de hoek. Het personeel was heel vriendelijk en gastvrij.

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen man kann nur sagen wir würden immer wieder kommen . Wir können das Hotel zu 100 Prozent weiter empfehlen. LG Alex Dirk
