Best place to stay north of Campbell River.
Great bedding and nice and clean.
We always find this hotel clean, and beautiful!
lovely staff,good restaurant,very quiet
Awesome staff and restaurant in the hotel. However, the hotel does not have a washer or dryer, which would be nice if you’re staying longer.
The propriety is excellent. Restaurant great food
Ty
Good dining food options. Nice and clean facilities . Very quiet
Beautiful hotel. Still have work to do in the restaurant. What they advertise versus what you get .
Very impressed with the service quality and the staff. It’s been a while since I have stayed and I see a lot of great improvements. The beds were really comfortable, and the toiletries are the nicest I have seen.
Discount off breakfast, has a coffee bar in hotel, open 6:30 am to 2:00 pm- pleasant surprise! Dinner menu was delicious & variety. Beds comfy & comfy quilt & pillows!
Hotel great. Food really good restaurant staff not so much
A very nice, clean and unique property with helpfull staff. The aboriginal decorations throughout the property are amazing. Defenetelly would stay at this hotel again.
Nothing special, minimum level accommodation.
Location was perfect, staff was excellent. Since the hotel didn't have a hot tub we booked a room with a soaker tub. When we arrived at the hotel and to our room, no tub!
Property had signs of being a bit run down (ie toilet running, temperature unit on the wall couldn’t maintain proper temperatures), and the photos showed a bathtub where there wasn’t one. However, you can really tell that they’ve made an effort to be the nicest hotel in Port Hardy area and we would return again. The restaurant was decent, and the location was near grocery and fast food options. Staying in Port Hardy was a good experience overall.
First class hotel with great amenities and great location.
Great
Loved the native art displayed all through the hotel. The soon to open dining room looks and feels excellent.
Great stay, beautiful hotel
Work trip
The hotel was friendly and very indigenous. I would defenlty come back
Great hotel. Clean, comfortable, and updated. Room was wonderful, food at the pub is great, and staff were friendly & helpful. Only downside was that the staff all seemed to be new to the area and couldn’t answer questions about things to do and see. However, the visitor information center is just a few blocks away and they were incredibly helpful. Note: the hotel is NOT attached to the mall as the write up says. It is just down the block (this is a plus in my opinion).
My stay was perfect, just for the price I think it’s good to say the breakfast isn’t included, and they only have a coffee pot in the room, so if you just want tea, you’ll also have the smell and taste of coffee And the Ac are really noisy Otherwise staff was nice and the hotel really clean, close to downtown
Great place to stay
It’s the nicest place in PH
Excellent stay at this property. The first Nation themed decor throughout is beautiful and the hotel is very clean and comfortable. All staff we met were friendly & professional. Would recommend you stay here when in the area.
.
Room was nice. Beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, my daughter found a random pill on the floor in our room. We took it down to the front desk and they didn’t seem to care. Which put a bad taste in my mouth. Also, this is a no cash hotel which wasn’t stated. The children wanted to spend some money in the gift shop that they had saved up and we’re unable to because they don’t accept cash.
The room was nice. The beds were comfortable. Unfortunately my daughter found a random pill on the floor of our room. Which is not OK. The front desk staff did not seem to care. Just so other people know. The hotel does not except cash. If I had known that we would not have stayed there. Our kids wanted to by so things from the gift shop with the money they have been saving and were unable to as they do not take cash.
Staff was friendly and the place was nice and clean. The AC unit seemed old and quite loud but that was our only complaint
What a great find! Perfect to make exploring the rest of the north island a breeze! Loved the property and discovering port hardy.
Very nice, quiet, and comfortable hotel. I really enjoyed my stay.
Parfait
The First Nations art in the hotel is stunning. There is art in both public spaces and private rooms. The hotel provided information about the artworks and the artists in a binder in the room. It's almost worth staying for the art alone. The staff members were pleasant when I both checked in and checked out. The hotel is on the major road into Port Hardy, so it is easy to find, but the traffic is light, so it is not noisy. There is plenty of parking. There were a few minor quibbles. My room faced the main road (and then there were trees on the other side of the road) and the blind was pulled down when I arrived, but I could see outlines of cars driving down the road, which caused me concern that the drivers could see in, and I wouldn't want to frighten the drivers. Also, I could hear people in the hall, which I assume meant that they could see me. Finally, the room was squeaky clean, but there were a couple of small stains on the carpet. A coffee stain would probably have been easy to clean when it was still wet, so it's annoying that the person who spilled the coffee didn't do something about it. But those are minor quibbles. To summarise, the Indigenous artwork is amazing, the staff is pleasant and the location is good. I look forward to visiting again. And I got a great price from Expedia.
I was plestenly surprised when I arrived at the hotel. The building is new, and the lobby had the appearance of an upscale hotel. When I arrived in the room, again I was very happy, especially for the price. It was clean, well decorated with a nice stand up shower. During my stay, I left my new tablet in the room. The hotel manager Robert Hudson returned my device in the mail.
Everything from the lobby to the room was super clean and beautifully decorated. The front desk person was friendly. The restaurant had really good fish and chips. There was ample parking.
The hotel had a calm relaxing vib with it’s surrounding environment. Loved the calming west coastal decor & ambiance.
Very clean and new. Bed was extremely comfortable
Excellent courteous service, in spite of late arrival.
Nice hotel, but when we arrived there was no power and the whole town had been out for over 12 hours. No hot water or heat. Certainly not the hotel staff's fault, but the owners may want to consider investing in a generator. After speaking to some locals this happens quite frequently. It would be nice if they offered a discount!
The best nights sleep I've had in a hotel
It was a delight from start to finish. The room was comfortable, and I haven't slept so well in a hotel for many years. Will stay again.
Good
Really nice, friendly staff. Love all the artwork, such a clean hotel. Fun weekend aside from the power outage. Good breakfast the next day was power was back!
Nice hotel
Great location
It had everything we needed. The restaurant food was good.
Probably the best hotel in Port Hardy
Very clean
I appreciate the hotel is Indigenous owned and operated. It is beautifully designed and decorated, respecting the local Nation's Indigenous culture and art. In addition, the pub has an excellent food selection.
Good rooms, great location to catch the ferry! Very comfortable beds.
Quick check in and friendly staff.
Nice guest rooms that featured First Nations decor. Beautiful lobby. The staff was friendly but in need of more training and support.
Loved staying at this hotel. The on-site restaurant is exceptional. The free breakfast was great too! Would not hesitate to stay here again.
Nice place! It was clean and the pub had great food and service both at supper and breakfast.
Awesome hotel
Great hotel, friendly staff. Was only overnight but would definitely stay there again!
Beautiful room and decor
Super comfortable beds
Lovely hotel with cafe, restaurant, shop and ample parking Only downside was a wait at reception for 50 minutes because the room wasn’t ready. We were told it was due to staffing and were given a complimentary drink. So no real problem but we were tired after a very long journey. Beds are incredibly comfortable You can walk 10 minutes to the town and we saw loads of wildlife nearby
Beautiful hotel. Great stay with really comfortable beds.
It was a lovely place to stay after a long ferry ride!
Hi
Lovely hotel, modern and convenient for the town
Indigenous artwork, nice restaurant
Consistently a nice place to stay.
Employees not smiley and worked slowly.
Beautiful design truly celebrating indigenous art and culture. Very impressive!
Very nice Hotel with Native ornaments. Hotel is very well maintained, clean, quiet. Only we were disappointed with too long wait for breakfast service- finally we left without breakfast .
Efficient friendly staff!
Stayed for 2 nights after arriving on the ferry from prince rupert. Staff were quick and efficient at getting several groups checked in even with our 1 am arrival. They were friendly but prompt to get everyone situated and it was appreciated!
Very clean rooms. The staff was very helpful & friendly! I would recommend staying at this hotel!
Excellent service. Delighted with our stay. We intend to come again.
Lovely lovely lovely 😊
My favorite in PH
Great location, staff were lovely, gorgeous building
Great spot, very comfortable beds. Spotless cleanliness.
Would stay here again.
Got a ground level room with someones car parked right at the window looking in. Room was a bit small. Towels were arranged under the sink in a manner that they would definitely get wet as one uses the sink. The hotel was very pretty. We just had hoped for a better experience.
Clean, quiet hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant/pub could’ve been better.
Amy beds
It was satisfactory
Arrived late and left early. Breakfast staff was great.
We spent one night and had a great stay. It’s either very new or very recently renovated with beautiful finishes. Very quiet. We had a great breakfast in the pub too. Highly recommended!
Hotel is very new / renovated, clean and modern. Having a gym or more amentiy on site would be nice. The fish and chip in the bar was incredible, one of the best I've had.
Arrived late off ferry and great service. Hotel was super quiet and dark for sleeping in. Highly recommend.
Nice
The room was very nice. Dinning room was ok but we were in Port Hardy which is end of the road on Vancouver Island so just happy to have food and service.
Easy check in and nice rooms. Breakfast was a mess, ditch the potatoe rosti.
The food choices were very good.
Check seemed like we were inconveniencing the girl as she busy on a personal call then we were given the wrong forms to sign
I mention the negatives first because they should not be issues given what we paid. 1. The check-in person at reception desk when we arrived is not welcoming or pleasant. Just sourness and a big list of what we cannot do. Maybe it was the end of a long day but we were the only people she was serving and we went out of our way to be kind and polite to her. Luckily, on checkout, the receptionist was very sweet and a total contrast to the night person. 2. Walked into our room and we were hit by the unmistakeable pungent smell of sweat. Luckily the windows opened, and the smell diminished after about an hour. 3. Despite a big fancy espresso machine in the café, the espresso tasted like disinfectant. I poured it out and ordered a 2nd one just to make sure it wasn’t an anomaly. Nope. I suspect the coffee or the person in the cafe making the espresso is the source of the terrible taste, because that machine itself is very impressive. 4. Loved the staff in the restaurant, kind, responsive, attentive, and knowledgeable. 5. Room was very quiet and after the sweat smell lifted we slept very well. 6. Good water pressure. 7. Good parking.
We have traveled to many places and have never encountered a hotel as dirty as this one. We found toenail clippings and hair on the sheets—absolutely disgusting! Although check-in is stipulated for 4 PM, most customers had to wait nearly 30 minutes or more. The lobby was crowded with people waiting, and the receptionist only said, "Sorry." This suggests it happens often. We will never stay at this hotel again.
Comfortable New
Far surpassed my expectation when booked sight unseen. Card access side doors! A beautiful interior space right down to the rooms interior, well done!! And my scrambled eggs were perfection this morning😂
This is a very clean hotel with friendly staff, and beautiful decor.
Very comfortable room.
Quick easy check in. Dining room on site complimentary breakfast vouchers were for a classic breakfast which was excellent. Beautiful rooms. Easy to walk anywhere in town. It was a good choice for us.
Poor Customer Service!
When you first walk in, you are greeted with a friendly "Hello". Customer Service was really great, I loved how friendly the staff were. The rooms are nice and comfortable. And the hotel is in such a convenient spot, most places in a walkable distance. Would definitely stay here again if I get the chance!
Wonderful artwork in the lobby and in the rooms in BC coastal indigenous styles.
Blind is not room darkening
The front staff are very nice and willing to help, I got a lot of useful information from them. If the room could have more space would be better. The blind is not room darkening, so it will be very bright in the morning, which is not good.
Very nice place. Good size rooms and well maintained. The shower head was somewhat temperamental. Nice food, but eat on the patio - the inside room feels more like a pool hall. Avoid having a room by the elevator, as it gets very loud.
Perfect for our 1 night stay after arriving late on the ferry. Beds were comfortable, room was clean and recently renovated.
Friendly staff
