Nice olace
Great hotel, very comfortable rooms and clean. The pool wasn't open because it is winter. Would have liked more meeting areas for business travelers, but those are minor concerns. It is a wonderful hotel that I highly recommend.
Close dining
Beautiful
Not worth the price
Went to Deep Ellum with friends to visit for a weekend. The hotel was located next to Deep Ellum making it an easy walk. Staff was friendly and overall the hotel was nice. My complaints were that the “heated” pool was not warm. Too cold to swim in and it was one of the factors to us choosing the hotel. The rooms were fine but the thermostat next to the bed had a horribly bright light that shined all light. We tried putting a shirt over it but it still showed through that. The curtains also didn’t reach the floor so if was pretty bright. Also, being near Deep Ellum it is expected to be louder due to clubs, but the train that comes through is super loud. I didn’t feel it was worth the price
Love this place. Food is awesome
We love the Pittman/Kimpton. It’s so comfortable, clean and so many food options in the area. Shout out to Christian! So nice seeing you again!
Excellent new construction, spacious rooms, great natural lighting, tasteful design. The location is also great, with many dynamic restaurants and shops within walking distance.
Awesome hotel and friendly staff. It can get noisy at night but that didn’t bother me but I can see how could bother others, just a heads up. They do leave ear plugs on the night stands.
Christmas decorations still up is a little odd almost a month post Christmas. The bath products at all Kimptons are terrible. Hard to wash off the body. Almost leaving a slimy feel.
Hotel was beautiful and staff was so nice!
We love staying at Kimpton hotels. I loved this one in Dallas and the staff was excellent.
The hotel has great ambiance and the staff were so helpful and kind! Stayed 2 nights and would definitely stay here again. No complaints. Top Notch experience
Highly recommend. Clean and quiet.
This was totally one of the best hotel experiences I have had. From the moment we arrived the valet was attentive and kind and upon entry I was warmly greeted by all the staff and they clearly worked in tandem so well getting guests checked in. Patrick at the front desk was amazing. The complimentary beer and water was a nice surprise as we were checking in. He was so thoroughly in explaining where my room was, the best way to get there and how to use the room key to control the power in the room. 10 minutes after settling in, Patrick was texting me to make sure there wasn’t anything else we needed and if there were any issues with the room. We had a drink in the bar and the staff there was so friendly and attentive. Then we enjoyed the complimentary wine hour with hors d'oeuvres while listening to vinyl. The location was perfect walking distance to dinner and nightlife and upon arriving super late after celebrating NYE the front desk staff were welcoming and kind again offering waters and checking to see if we needed an extra hour or so for checkout the next day. This is now my go to Dallas hotel and I’ve already recommended it to several friends.
Business trip. Good check in exprerience. Room was fine .Restaurant was very pleasant but staff need more training on your menu items
Don't prepay for the breakfast, it's a scam
The $15 prepaid breakfast is a lie. I prepaid breakfast for two days, but then also had to pay for my breakfast at the hotel. Trying to get reimbursed from your website is a joke (email will not go through). The front desk claims they know nothing about the prepaid breakfast, but I'm sure I'm not the first to ask about it. What a scam. They did recognize the prepaid parking, however. Next complaint is the constant whistling sound through the ductwork in our room. It was more irritating than the guy with the leaf blower at 8am every morning outside. There aren't anymore leaves, dude, give it a rest. Otherwise we liked the hotel, despite the $64 breakfast that wasn't credited in any way.
I love how clean the rooms are so I always book here. The rooms do not have carpet so I feel like they are nicer and cleaner.
Me and my wife were here on our anniversary and the service we received was top notch. Everyone on staff was extremely helpful. Best hotel we’ve stayed at. Extremely recommend this
Great location. The eclectic decor and spacious room was amazing. Valet was terrific. Some of the staff had attitudes and did not greet everyone in the party. Lobby music too loud. Overall it was a very nice stay and excellent hotel.
Super clean modern property. Pet friendly and great location. Friendly staff. Only stayed for a night but would def stay again!
friendly staff, perfect location
Awesome staff!
One of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. Staff was outstanding, room was super nice, and food was grear
Super nice hotel. I’d go back.
Nice room
Very clean and comfortable
Okay but not as god as other 4 star hotels in the area.
It was a pleasant staycation
Excellent Customer service
One of my favorite hotels ever. Greatly appreciated the complementary ear plugs for sleeping (it’s in the heart of a music district.
Nice
Gavin and Christian made staying here absolutely magical. They were super personable, helpful and went out of their way to make our stay extra cozy. We loved our stay here. It was super clean, comfortable and spacious.
Never again
The free beverage was a small bottle of water. No room upgrade offered
Had a wonderful stay, there are a few minor maintenance issues that were addressed while we were there. The safety lock for the room would not engage but the deadbolt did.
Boutique hotel with interesting decor and character. We appreciated the wine hour, enclosed fire pit area, and breakfast "power up" in the restaurant area. We were disappointed with the level of service from this caliber of hotel. A list of items was provided to call if you forgot, but when we called about two of those items, we were told flatly that the hotel didn't have them. That said, we were pleased that the hotel provided a sound machine on request that combatted the neighborhood noise.
Love it here!
OVERPRICED POOR EXPERIENCE
A/C controls were difficult to understand. Room service was hidden under some nondescript tab on the TV, and even then we had to go to a website on our laptop to find the menu. Also, regarding the TV… to watch any streamers, one has to go through your own devices. That was hard to figure out and we gave up. The pillows were horrid... small, flat, and with very low quality cases/sheets. They needed to supply an extra blanket in the room. There was only one robe, when clearly two people were staying there. The sink clogged and thus drained very slowly. It was difficult to get the shower to stop dripping. You can’t use the refrigerator for your own things without incurring a charge. Overnight parking is WAY too expensive. The room keys worked sometimes, sometimes didn’t… for the room door and the elevator
The Pittman is a gorgeous hotel with a top notch staff. Customer service is most certainly a 10/10. The accessibility is problematic, the entrance is in an extremely small thoroughfare that is PACKED ALL NIGHT LONG and is very loud if you are a light sleeper (earplugs were available in the nightstands) They only offer valet parking and you can self park but it is a little walk and not much cheaper than valet. We chose to self park because we knew we were exploring the area and wanted to come and go as we pleased however, attendants at the parking garage did not seem too thrilled with coming and going. The room amenities were average, the body was container was empty on arrival and never filled during my 3 night stay and the outlets would not power my Dyson hair dryer so I wasn’t able to do my hair as I usually would which was disappointing. I didn’t care for the morning coffee being all the way across the inside of the restaurant as you have to walk by people trying to enjoy their breakfast which felt rather rude or intrusive but as I stated the staff was AMAZING every single person I encountered was behind polite and gracious. If I were to return to Dallas I would probably chose another place based on the location only and not the hotel itself.
I will never return here again and will notify friends and business colleagues to avoid this hotel like the plague. There was no mention that the hotel is in a club area when I made my reservation. The area is super loud at night making it almost impossible to sleep. Traffic at night is terrible due to the clubs. The solutions to the noise that staff offered were the following: Fans or white noise machines during my next visit. I will never return.
This hotel is magical … feeling so beautiful…
The staff and manager at checkin were perfection!
Love the location and service. The view was not what I expected.
Great stay! Central location, very clean
Stayed here over the Halloween weekend and it was amazing! It’s in a nice spot where you can avoid traffic and they have valet, which are very helpful and friendly. The staff was amazing at checking in on us and answering all questions I had. Definitely worth the price and it made my stay very comfortable.
Great location and close to it all.
While I might be in a very popular location , that might be its problem. Too much noise due to clubs right there !! Front desk was barely knowledgeable about surrounding area ( new to town). But so am I , New in town. !! Nice but wouldn’t come back
Valet was the Best
Great valet
Street noise made sleeping impossible even with earplugs. Other than that, a very pleasant experience.
Hotel is in a great area and lots of excellent dining options within walking distance (recommend Pecan Lodge and Revolver Tacos). Hotel has excellent facilities, friendly front desk staff and very comfortable beds. The negatives: the area is extremely noisy on Friday/ Saturday nights such that we had to move rooms. Had breakfast one day in the hotel but the whole service was a bit faulty towers: made to sit by bar to wait despite several empty tables, long wait for coffee, food order incorrect. Would probably stay elsewhere next time in Dallas due to the noise issue.
It is incredibly expensive, to be so Noisy. My wife got no sleep It is very cumbersome to Stream movies, where other hotels make it very easy. We will not stay here again
I wanted to do a staycation for my 40th birthday. My requirement was a huge bathtub. I called the property directly to run through a list of questions and spoke to Naomi who was so thoughtful and friendly with her responses so I was able to book the room in confidence. Upon check in, we were put in a preferred room on a higher floor and had a sweet note and a few little treats from the hotel. The room was very NYC luxe and the bathtub was basically out of my dreams. It was a great stay! This hotel is in the heart of Deep Ellum on a major street so do factor that in when booking. It can get loud but they do provide you with earplugs. Naomi went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay and was able to allow for a late checkout as well. I really want to thank her for making my birthday staycation super special!
Front desk staff was attentive. Hotel itself was gorgeous.
Amazing stay definitely will be coming back in the future!
Went with a friend for a staycation. Check in was so easy and the front desk employees were super friendly. The hotel itself was beautiful. The room was a good size and the bed was SO comfy! The bar was cozy, happy hour prices were good and the food was delicious. And as always, pets stay free.
Great hotel! The location and service were wonderful. The hotel was convenient to restaurants, downtown and many other local options.
Great place for business or personal visit!! Lovely and great food on restaurant and very good bar atmosphere!
Will most definitely stay here again. Top notch and classy and very clean
We loved this hotel and would absolutely stay again. From the moment we drove up, we had excellent service. The valet was friendly and professional, as well as the staff when checking in. We received a complimentary welcome drink which was unexpected and fun too. The vibe and atmosphere was chic and on point. The property was very clean which I appreciated, including the pool and pool bathroom. The room was pristine and they had some yummy options inside for purchase as well as a loaded fridge for purchase. The room was beautiful. We chose a room with a bathtub and loved that they included bath salts to soak in. It is a very noisy area of course and it was great they included ear plugs. I also loved how so much was walkable. The bed and pillows were very comfortable too. The bed was firm with some light cushion and plenty of fluffy soft pillows. Due to the location, there is a lot of noise outside, so be aware if this if you’re looking for a quiet pool. We only spent about an hour or so at the pool and ordered a burger with truffle fries and it was AMAZING! I don’t like sweet pickles but wow they were perfect on that burger. Thank you all for an amazing stay!
Came un for a concert your valet service was great
Very nice. They cared about the people staying there.
Great experience. Would definitely recommend!
Hotel, room, property and staff were fantastic!! 10 Stars!! Now being that it was my 16 year anniversary we’re were expecting and nice stay at the hotel. Walked all over Deep Ellum. Wonderful place to see. After a long day went back to the room that was located on the outward side with windows facing N Good-Latimer Expy. Nothing peaceful about it. From 8:00pm to 5:00am there was so much noise from cars, trucks, police, ambulance and the tram train. 1:45am fire alarm goes off. Faulty alarm. Not blaming the hotel. Had to exit the building till 2:15. No sleep! Will stay here again but will request a room that’s as far away from any main streets as possible! Now I understand why they put ear plugs on night stands!!
I truly enjoyed my stay! The staff were welcoming and kind, the room was clean, modern, and the bed was extremely comfortable! This will be my go to hotel in Dallas!
Great stay!
I loved that so many shops and restaurants were in walking distance of the hotel! I was also a huge fan of the aesthetics of the hotel room. Not a fan of the very hardwood floors, the bathroom didn't have a vent fan to prevent the mirrors from steaming, and the bed wasn't very comfortable either.
Beautiful hotel with a very kind staff
Was great walking distance to everything in Deep Ellum
Coffee machines in the rooms would be nice
Beautiful hotel
Extra charges at checkin....hold on my CC $2100 For 4 nights...totally ridiculous!! Lies!! I will inform anyone/future guests.
Vacation
It's the third time I've stayed at this hotel, I love it! I like the area where it is, the staff is very kind,, without a doubt I will continue staying here!
Great hotel!
Service was excellent. Property just very small. Room size smaller than I’d like. It was good but not luxury
Bathroom leak
There was a ceiling leak in the bathroom. Water was dripping down the wall and onto the floor. For the price we paid for a room, we expected better.
AMAZING EXPERIENCE AND SERVICE!
Loved the bar and bartender in the evenings! The front desk staff was great and they offered wonderful dining options. Will definitely stay again on my next trip to Downtown Dallas.
Great staff
Great place to stay. Great staffs!
Great staff and hotel. In a very busy area of Deep Ellum of downtown Dallas, so be prepared for that on the weekend.
Pros: we booked here because it's a dog friendly hotel. They offer dog beds and bowls. Even though it's downtown, I felt really safe walking the dog. cute modern decor in room and lobby. Dogs in the hotel were all well behaved. No barking. no lunging. All dogs on leashes. No dog smell. Really fresh hotel smell. Quick check in. Friendly and attentive staff. good free coffee in the morning. Lots of available options up add to the coffee. Nice pool. Has a wheelchair lift. Cute outdoor fire pit. My husband loves this hotel. He thinks it's really well done. Any time we travel with our dog, we'll stay at a Kimpton. My husband is going to join IHG rewards. Cons: $50 for overnight parking at valet. There is a parking garage nearby; and it's $25, but you pay $7 each time you go in/out.
Amazing property with great location. The staff was extremely helpful and nice.
Great blankets and pillows!
amazing. 5 star service and clean! They loved Benji the dog with shoes!
Adriana at the front desk was great
After paying premium price to stay one night to begin my honeymoon, anything one may desire had a hefty pricetag attached. Nothing complimentary in lieu of our wedding celebration, and no parking. I regret my decision staying there.
Staff were very nice, polite and caring about your need.
From the moment you drive up to the facility you are rushed. The valet employees demand your keys and don’t allow you the opportunity to get your belongings. The valet driver was sitting in the drivers seat while I’m unloading my bags. I witness the manager scold employees in front of guests and proceed to call employees “liars” and that she doesn’t “believe a word they were saying” not great memories were made this visit.
Great service from everyone I encountered at the hotel. Room was very comfortable. Location is fantastic if you want to be near Deep Ellum or downtown. Free street parking is several blocks away if you don't mind that.
Loved the style and cleanliness! The bedding was amazing and we love that our two doggies were able to stay for free! Best hotel ever
Nice hotel and front desk help
Beautiful hotel close to fairgrounds and amphitheater. Front desk was super helpful and welcoming. Breakfast in the restaurant was delicious but restaurant staff confused about it being included. Everyone was professional and friendly
A+
Loved the stay. Room was nice, bed was comfy, food in the restaurant was delicious. Everyone was friendly and helpful!
Did not realize it was a dog friendly hotel. Dogs barking all through the night.
The only thing I didn’t like was that pets were allowed. There were poop stains on the carpet by the elevator on the 6th floor today.
Great location to all the dining, shopping, and party spots.
Amazing stay
My sister and I was in deep ellum for a little get away together we had a blast the hotel was amazing easy check in front desk was super helpful and friendly woukd definitely stay here again and recommend thank you for a wonderful weekend
Upscale experience in the heart of Deep Ellum
Very nice hotel in the heart of Deep Ellum. Very busy area on a Saturday night and a bit noisy, but from inside our room we barely knew about the hustle and bustle on the street. Nice and quiet. Valet and hotel staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
