I would have given the property 5 stars but I had 1 issue. My room (611) had plumbing issue. The cold water taps for both the shower and the bathroom sink ran hot water for quite some time before turning cool. The shower also ran out of hot water pretty quickly. Fortunately I was able to finish showering just as the water went cold. My wife and I are returning to this hotel later in October for our 20th Anniversary. The minor “hiccup” here doesn’t change our plans.
Great staff and awesome hotel! Would definitely revisit.
Kimpton Vintage Seattle
Wonderful weekend at the Kimpton Vintage. Nice room with comfortable bed and great staff in reception, valet and restaurant. Recommended and we will be returning.
Nice property, rooms were ok. Beds were comfy, but water pressure was not good. Also, valet was understaffed.
Nice place to stay
We booked a king room, but was given a room with 2 queens. Not ideal for my husband and I but it worked out fine. The room was a good size. Bedding was crisp and nice but the blanket did t have enough weight on it so I was pretty cold since we like to keep the room at 67 degrees. There is no I room coffee station but the lobby had a nice coffee station-which I prefer anyways. It was a 10 min walk to dining and shopping-great location!
Room had a wet spot with an unknown liquid near the bed when we first entered. Room also had a broken mini refrigerator and shower only had scolding hot water. Staff was super helpful in moving us to a new room though
Great price clean room, safe area.
Good price, in a decent clean part of town in Seattle. Valet parking customer service is 5 stars!! Very friendly customer service would definitely recommend.
Always a good stay!
Definitely uphill from water but no homeless around property.
i was very excited about booking a Kimpton hotel. From my experience these are always trendy, upscale and fun places to stay. I was underwhelmed when we arrived around 7pm on a Sunday. the front desk agent was not friendly and we had multiple suitcases and was not offered any assistance getting them to our room. (the pull-carts were all being used, but the front desk agent could have offered to leave the bags and have them delivered once a cart became available.) Also i was asking about the winery's in the area since this Kimpton decor was all about wine. the front desk agent pointed us toward flyers, but offered no advice or anything positive regarding a visit to any of the wineries. The second night the bellman were more attentive and other front desk were friendly enough... just not what i expected from a Kimpton.
Lovely staff! The little restaurant that is adjacent is full of character and cozy. Really central and walkable. Rooms are generous in size. Only quibble was the bathroom was small-like really small. This is a terrific city hotel
Nice place to stay
I was disappointed that my reservation for a room with two beds could not be honored. Other than that, it was a nice place to stay. Room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Very convenient to I-5 and Pike Place Market/Downtown Seattle. The valet-only parking was convenient- but expensive.
Very cozy, comfortable, and clean hotel within walking distance of Pike's Market and many restaurants. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. I found my new favorite hotel and will definitely go back.
Room was spacious and clean, bed was comfortable. They delivered a coffee pot to our room upon request. We loved the happy hour. Staff was helpful and kind. Hotel entrance was easy to find and valet was quick.
Perfectly acceptable on all fronts.
One of two Elevators was broken and the other was rattling- scary - they shut it down for several hours
only one operable elevator for the 11 story building. small odd layout bathroom. small lobby. non-informative front desk. hidden hotel fees.
One very loud elevator next to our room running all day and night. No amenities in the room.. coffee maker etc had to be asked for .
When we checked in we were told there was a $29 resort fee per room which was not disclosed ahead of time. Resort fee for a downtown hotel? What a joke. They should just be honest about their price and raise the rate of their room instead of surprising you with an extra fee.
Well located. Especially appreciated the great valet team who helped me look for a missing item.
Every thing was good.
Broken bathroom.
Lovely hotel. Excellent restaurant
I didn't like that the resort fee included $10 per day at the attached restaurant, it made me feel like I had to eat there. The hotel itself was okay but I would say near the bottom compared to nearby hotels. I'll opt for other places in the future unless the price difference is significant.
Would recommend having individual coffeemakers in rooms, especially when paying this amount for a room. No one wants to have to go down 9 floors to a lobby to get coffee at 5 AM.
Best thing this hotel has going for it is the location. 5 blocks from the pier/waterfront, so parked the car for the duration of stay but otherwise probably not worth the cost. Had requested fresh towels, never received. Stayed multiple nights and no maid services. Bed was meh at best, mattress was soft. 5-6pm wine sample downstairs. Restaurant in hotel was fancy.
Hotel is situated next to a main arterial onto the interstate. Incredibly loud traffic and street racing happening all night long. The second story is actually street level. Room was ok, but so noisy because of location/traffic. There was a Mariners (baseball) game both night so we weren’t able to get a quieter room. None of us slept much at all. The staff was kind, and waived the amenities fees, but weren’t really able to do anything to help. Earplugs were useless- the loud street racing happened about every half hour all night long.
Close to Pike Market and staff was friendly. Valet guys were amazing and helped me knowing I was flying solo with three boys.
Clean, quiet, and safe.
Clean, quiet and “vintage” vibe ! Love it!
We had another IGA property booked but they canceled our reservation. We searched a property near the original hotel because we had a lot of luggage to maneuver. The bellman suggested this hotel. What an excellent option. We really enjoyed the hotel and ALL of the staff members. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
Parking was... inconvenient. Just sont leave anything in the car that youll want later. Your car goes ro the roof and someone takes you there if you need to get to your car. Waits for you, and veings you back via car oort. I mean, its fine but someone waiting on you? Continentalnbreakfast consists on coffee and thats it.
Good service
Excellent customer service
Very clean, comfortable bed. My room had two queen beds. The room was a perfect size. I had a street view which I also enjoyed. The hop on hop off pick up was just across the street in front of the library. We used it to site see while we were there.
Elevator is shaking
This is a beautiful property with lovely offerings! We enjoyed a complimentary wine hour and the staff were all very helpful.
Hidden Fees
I was informed at check out of a $60 fee. I was not informed of this fee at check in. The checkout staff told me "It's like a resort fee" whatever that means. . .
Many homeless and.dirty just a lock away.
The staff was incredible. Extremely accommodating. They have a wine hour each evening in the lobby. Lobby is small and cramped with limited seating; however, they did a great job and limitless pours. Very nice. They also had a resident artist set up in the lobby who would paint while you sipped and chatted. Nice touch. Will absolutely stay here again. Totally walkable to Pikes Market. Great hotel.
It was perfect for one night! Front desk was lovely and she made me feel right at home.
Perhaps is a US hotel thing, but the fact that they do not change sheets, or give you towels every day. no hand soap in the bathroom. It just feels unsanitary.
Johnathon was a G!
Mandatory "amenity fee"
The rooms are nice and clean. But beware, they slapped on a mandatory $25 "amenity fee" in addition to the rate quoted on this website.
I love the whole style of the hotel. I loved that it in walking distance to almost every where we wanted to go. The staff was great!!
NOT a 4-star hotel
This is not a 4 star hotel. At best, I would characterize it as a budget hotel. And, one that is happy to nickel and dime you. When we arrived, we were informed of the $30/night "amenity" fee. Parking was $60 plus tax or about $75. So, what seemed like a pretty reasonably priced room wasn't so reasonable. The room itself was perfectly ok for a budget property. The bathroom was not. It was tiny and the shower curtain reeked of mold. We returned to the hotel after our first day out to find the room hadn't been cleaned. We were then informed that you have to request housekeeping. When I asked how we would know that, the desk clerk told us we should have been informed of the policy at check in. But, we weren't. And she was the one who checked us in. But... She failed to mention that you have to request housekeeping EACH day. So, we came back to an uncleaned room the second evening too. At checkout, we were informed we had a credit, but they wouldn't apply it to our bill. They said we could use it to buy wine/liquor they had behind the counter or food in the restaurant. Since we were checking out, this wasn't helpful. Again, I was asked how we would have known about this and were told this should have been handled by the check in clerk. Overall, the property felt a little tired. So did the staff.
I would stay here again- location is great, service is noticeably head and shoulders above others, good nearby restaurant, love the happy hour with local musicians.
Love it !
The staff were very attentive and it was nice to receive suggestions from valets on areas to visit in Seattle. The location was walking distance to areas we planned to visit on our trip, and the hotel was very nice overall.
Great location, nice restaurant. Happy hour everyday in the lobby. This hotel is an excellent value for money
Great stay, friendly staff and the nightly wine social between 5-6 was fantastic. Would say here again.
Overall nice stay, just needs some updating.
Enjoyed the stay, valet and front desk were very friendly. Bed was comfortable but room/bathroom needs a good update. The price I think is too high for it but overall stay was nice and we enjoyed our weekend there.
I woyld stay here again. Very clean.
Great staff
I don’t care if it’s in the small print. A $28 resort fee is straight up ridiculous. This hotel, as nice as it is, is not a resort.
Faye, met us at the front desk for a very late check in. Faye, welcomed us with a smile; and could answer any question. We had brunch TULIol, located in the Hotel Kimpton. My breakfast was fantastic. I had the best breakfast in long time.
The pet pals are cute and unique! The build was amazing, I loved the old architecture. The staff was the absolute best. Friendly, helpful, and genuine! I haven't met better staff at any other establishment! The bar and restaurant was elegant, I had the most delicious drink. There's a quirky grocery and teriyaki store we had dinner at across the street, which I highly recommend! Parking was excellent, the valet safe and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I'm so glad we stayed! Thank you!
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and inviting. The room was comfy, the only draw back was no microwave in the room. Overall a very nice place to stay.
We stayed here over the holidays. The main reason we chose Kimpton is that they allowed all pets (not just dogs) and we traveled with our cat and dogs. The space was clean and adequate and surprisingly quiet for a downtown location. Parking is valet only but I felt very confident that our vehicle was safe. If you are driving your own vehicle I recommend spending extra on the parking. The staff was incredibly polite and helpful. I don’t remember the last time we’ve stayed somewhere where they were so hospitable. The adjoining restaurant Tulio was amazing! They have breakfast, lunch and dinner on the week days but just dinner on Saturday and Sunday. One thing to be aware of is they process your card for potential damages of about $100/day so be prepared for that. Overall we would definitely stay there again.
Pros: great location, safe, clean, quiet Cons: bedroom outdated, extremely uncomfortable mattress, rough bedding, not great in-room toiletry products that you see offered at other 4.5 star hotels, room service limited and choppy hours, no in-room mini bar, TV our dated and did not connect to any streaming apps, and remote didn’t work.
This hotel is disappointing compared to others in this chain. Restaurants caters to upscale dinners and no place nearby to secure breakfast. They don’t clean the room or provide clean towels unless you go to the desk to ask. Since there is only one clerk at the desk, making that request is a 20 minute wait. Pricey hotel with a minimum of service.
This is a wonderful hotel. We've staid before and it didn't disappoint. It was my birthday, so the staff treated us to a bottle of wine. Lovely!
The staff was very offhand on checking in. I was a fan of the Kimpton Hotel group. But now charging $50 for an hour extension of the checkout time is distasteful.
Excellent staff. Easy valet parking and checkin. Room was clean.
Birthday gift
We booked at the Kimpton for our grandsons who were turning 23 on Sept 15th and had tickets for the Beyonce concert. The boys said the hotel was easy to find, had great parking and everyone who worked there from the parking person to the Front desk staff to the maid service were friendly and very helpful. The boys were able to walk down to and back from Lumen Field where the concert was held. A big Shout Out to the Kimpton Hotel Vintage Seattle for making our grandsons 23rd birthdays a huge success!!!
Excellent service. Every single employee was polite, helpful and welcoming. They made us and our dog feel welcomed and appreciated. I could not say enough positive words and would absolutely stay again.
What a wonderful place to stay!! Ashley at the front desk was amazing and very friendly!
Very nice property with friendly and accommodating staff Great location
Great price point for the location.
The people that. Work there
We weren't told ahead of time that the property was under construction. When we arrived we weren't offered a choice of floor , put on the eleventh, and the elevators were down. They were operating at a reduced capacity. The eleventh floor was under construction and our room wasn't as nice as our friend's room on the third floor.
Hotel is nice but from the outside it looked questionable. Not the greatest block, but inside it was great. Clean! Nice appointed rooms!
Inoperable elevator.
Pretty expensive hotel to stay at for the elevators to be 90% inoperable. Floor 11 flooded, and we were put on 10 with the back door unsecured and super loud fans and dehumidifiers running. The flooding messed up the elevators. You would have to call down and have someone use the out of order elevator to get to your floor. Nothing like a 10 minute was in 90 degree heat for an elevator. Being told in advance so we could cancel and find another hotel would have been nice. Or a discount for the massive inconvenience. The staff were doing their best and the elevator guy was running everywhere. They are the only reason my score isn’t terrible.
Remodeling - don’t pay full price
Elevators broken, water damage on the floor we were placed on. Ripped up wallpaper, carpet ripped up, wiring exposed, elevator not working properly. Door would not shut so we stood there for 10-15 minutes every time waiting for someone to come fix it. They said it was due to damage but why have people pay full price still? I won’t stay here again.
Very surprised by how nice room was … very good experience
The room was a good size. The bathroom was a little small.
The A Team.
From the minute we walked in, the staff at the front desk was on it. They truly made you feel welcomed. Such an incredible and efficient team. Edna, the manager is too fabulous for words. Morning Coffee and 5 O'clock wine. SO AWESOME! Thank you ladies.
Staff was excellent
We went to Seattle for the for the first weekend in July and it Was honestly a really enjoyable stay for the 4 days we were there. They were so accommodating and the restaurant in the hotel may have been some of the best pasta I’ve ever had. Was super close and within walking distance of a lot of places and amenities. They were incredibly welcoming to our 2 dogs Loki and Thor and made them both feel very welcome. Will definitely be staying here anytime we’re in the city from now on
Vintage Hotel Has Nostalgia Built-In to Its Name
This vintage hotel lived up to its name. Warm and nostalgic. The 5pm daily hospitality hour was amazing. Location was terrific not far from Monorail and Pike’s Marketplace by foot. Only setback for a perfect rating was the coffee in the lobby was watery and delivered late every time it needed changing, and the quality of the toilet paper was razor thin for a 4 star resort rating. Also, the bathroom was tiny for such an enormous king sized room but offered a generous countertop and lower shelving space. Other than those points, you can’t go wrong staying at this centrally located hotel.
We were here for a short stay. We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. Rooms were clean. Front desk was helpful and polite. Nice furnishings. Appropriate for its price class and star rating. They provided us with a microwave and a hot water kettle on request. It wasn't already in the room. Just something other guests might want to know. Parking attendant/valet was also very polite and helpful. Overall a pleasing experience. Place doesn't offer breakfast. They should consider some grab n go style things at least. Like oatmeal/cereal/bagels etc. That frees guests from searching for breakfast options when on a tight schedule.
Was expecting way more from a kimpton. I jave stayed at other kimtons in seattle, this was probably the lowest quality. Room was ok but not kimpton level. Came back early due to not feeling safe on the streets. Asked for a bottle of tequila no price available. Bought soda as a mixer, which was room temp. Asked for something to put ice in on our way up, was handed a stack of plastic cups. Why not. Now that i jave seen the price paid for the bottle, a bucket at reception and a chilled mixer? Major let down and would not stay again.
Na
We really enjoyed our stay at Vintage Seattle. It was walkable to Pike’s Market and Pioneer Square. We loved the coffee in the lobby every morning. Bell Staff were so friendly and helpful to store our luggage for our early arrival and late flight out. Would stay there again!
Everything was great
Great service and location
Edna, the front desk manager, was great! She was friendly and helpful. The happy hour free beer and wine just adds to the experience.
Several issues from hidden fees, small bed, middle of night air conditioning, to being moved to different facility from what we reserved
Beautiful
Having Morning coffee in lobby. Staff let homeless woman in to have coffee and use bathroom. She was very vulgar using swear words and sat beside me. I got up and moved due to the words she was saying. Very inappropriate. Bothered other guests too. Once ahe left, i asked the front desk if she was a guest. She said no. That she felt bad and let her in. I paid just over $400/night to stay in thos hotel for less than 12 hours and they let a homeless person in. I was appalled. I will never stay there again due to that. If i could, i would take cancelled and went somewhere else. She could have given her a coffee outside. But instead, allowed her to touch everything at the coffee bar too.
Wonderful elegant and beautiful hotel in a centre of everything
Happy Traveller
Great location, value and friendly staff
Staff was absolutely wonderful! So helpful and kind. Definitely will be back for my next business trip to Seattle. My rooms was decent size and perfect location for all of my business meetings.
my family and I loved the ambiance and the location of the hotel. most everything was walking distance.
.
A very clean and comfortable place to stay. I really like that they offer a happy hour in the lobby and were generous with the wine. They offer a yoga mat in your room and complimentary access to hotel bicycles.
The property did an excellent job accommodating our stay. This review says terrible because somehow our reservation got cancelled two weeks before we were supposed to check in. Fortunately the hotel had a room and honored our previous reservation despite the mysterious cancellation.
Beautiful hotel. Easy to access on foot or by car. Staff excellent, friendly. Very clean and nice room. I walked to the Seahawks game and back.
Great hotel, but miss restaurant, bar & coffee.
Valet parking staff fantastic. Desk staff pretty good at check in, morning staff fantastic. For price of the room ($$$) would hope to have access to room service, or at minimum, self serve coffee service in our room. Unfortunately hotel's restaurant closed Monday & Tuesday, during our stay. Changed the vibe of hanging out at the hotel - late in the restaurant and bar, and early for breakfast.
Nice hotel. Walkable area. Nothing insanely amazing but still very good. I dont think it was quite worth the money though. Too expensive for the nightly price and the fees for what you get.
Great stay, no complaints.
