Lovely hotel on the harbour in Argostoli. Clean, comfortable rooms and well kept public areas. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and the morning staff made us feel very welcome, offering cooked dishes and refilling coffee etc. A central location with plenty of places to eat and drink close by. Would recommend.
Wonderful staff and great location.
Beautiful hotel and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Just wish there was tea and coffee available in the room and a fridge.
The hotel reaches out to us (telling us to call them) the same morning of the reservation start date. They told us the hotel was overbooked and that Expedia never reached out to us. We where in the middle of a tour on the Acropolis and it made our experience very bad. The person in charged tried helping me find another hotel but just sent a few names of hotels in the area. Be careful and confirm with the hotel before being sure your booking is confirmed
Very nice property in a good location
Great location. Beautiful hotel and amazing friendly staff
Front desk and morning breakfast staff were lovely. The location is centre of the main town. For the price paid, there are better options with better facilities/ locations.
Room tiny, looked tired, didn’t complete our stay
The property was accesible around the area....did not like when other guest slanmed their doors and we could heard it in our bedroom suite late at night
Stayed there for a full week. The air conditioning in my room leaked on two separate occasions. The front desk did nothing to remedy the situation for the inconvenience it caused me to have to stay around to have their strange “handyman” “fix it”. His “fix” was to replace the bucket of water from the ceiling under the AC to a bigger bucket. I booked a king bed, they gave me a full. The bed itself was very uncomfortable so it was likely an old mattress. The bathrooms are cracking and smell of sewer. There is zero insulation so I could hear every person in the hallway walking and talking. Overall not by any means worth the price. The lobby and outside look new and grand but the rooms are all 2 star worthy. Also make sure you ask for receipts. They refer out to local companies (boat charters, taxis, tours) that also won’t give you receipts either. Even when asked, they make excuses as to why they can’t generate a receipt. I told the manager that I legally have the right to a receipt and she said she would eventually email it to me.
Great location
We had such a fabulous stay! Ideal location, excellent breakfast and the staff were just lovely! Thank you so much.
Very nice property right on the promenade with the town square on your back. Hip and greek vibes all over. For the price, i wish they would offer guests vouchers for beach access since the hotel doesnt have its own beach facility. I have a billing issue with them that is still pending. I got charged twice on my credit card which got me overdraft by the bank! I also contacted expedia about this.
The property is beautiful and in close proximity to all shopping and dinning areas, the staff is very friendly and attends to all your needs promptly.
Great location in Argostoli. Breakfast was great, rooms looked out over the harbor.
GRAND
Perfect location and lovely views. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Would have been nice to have tea/coffee facilities in the room and at least 1 English News Channel on TV
We only stayed one night as we had to change our initial arrangements. Reception arranged taxi pickup from airport (30eu). Ok, a bit expensive for a short ride but enabled us to travel hassle free and get to know the route for next day when we picked up a hire car. Lovely surprise to have an upgrade for room. Excellent facilities and wide balcony overlooking harbour. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast was amazing. Wide selection of fruit, pastries, cereals, cheese etc plus omelettes made to order. Good coffee. Easy walk to bus stop for airport. This is also where the ferry goes across to Lixouri about every 30 mins. Watched lorries, cars and vans backing into it. A bit scary. We drove instead.. highly recommend staying in this boutique hotel
Amazing staff! So friendly, especially at breakfast each morning and check in. We loved our stay and would definitely come back !
Very smart hotel. Friendly staff and perfect location and size. Only downside was the aircon in the room was not nearly powerful enough. I’d stay here again though
Hotel is on the waterfront. Easy strolling from there around Argostoli. Staff very helpful. Excellent breakfast. We had a water view which was worth the extra. The daytime restaurant / bar snack menu isn’t very Greek but there are other nearby options if that’s your thing.
A very nice boutique hotel! The room was lovely and clean! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is hard to beat at you are right on the bay and in the heart of the town. Breakfast was a large buffet with a choice of ordering off a small menu and the restaurant at the hotel was very tasty for dinner as well. I would absolutely stay here again!
This is a great boutique hotel located on the waterfront. There are many restaurants in the vicinity and all within easy walking distance. Staff are very helpful and were very gracious in accommodating a late checkout for us. Breakfast is excellent and hotel offers indoor and patio dining. Special thanks to Olga and Iro at the front desk and Pavlos and Martina at the restaurant.
Great location within a few minutes walking distance from the main square with access to plenty of cafes, restaurants, bakery and shops. The hotel is average. Small room with very small bathroom without windows but it was cleaned every day. The breakfast was poor especially when considering a Greek hotel. No local products or fresh fruits and vegetables, no selection of savoury or sweet dishes. During Easter it would be good to offer traditional sweets to introduce a local flavour.
Location was nice. Lobby was nice. Staff exceptionally kind and attentive. Rooms were tired and lower quality…needs refreshing. The seaside rooms were better. Best description of the rooms would be bohemian industrial. Could hear the shower and toilet flush from the neighboring room. I am sure they could hear ours also.
Great
Fabulous breakfast, great sea view from balcony
Gave our room to someone else so we stayed in a much smaller room for the price of the larger one because they were totally booked out. Hotel is in perfect location, very walkable. The food was decent. It was clean & well laid out. Parking outside wasn’t bad unless you drove late. But, we were very disappointed that the room we paid for was not what we received. Hotel pointed to Travelocity saying they hadn’t been paid. Travelocity couldn’t do anything about the room.
The rooms are the size of a shoe box. They do not specify true measurements of rooms. The staff is good.
I did not like the smell of Javel/Bleech throughout the hotel. Room was too small. Get a room with view. Staff is great.
We stayed for six nights as part of our honeymoon and wished we had more time at the hotel in Agostoli. Their Breakfast bar was very generous and amazing (must try the local yoghurt), can’t fault the lovely staff and service was excellent everyday. We had a sea view room which showed us the lovely island nature and at night sitting on the balcony having a coffee and seeing the vibrant streets which came alive! We will stay here again, thank you
Staff was amazing very welcoming very accommodating I highly recommend this hotel for an amazing stain location was excellent
The only thing I didn’t like was the bathroom it was very small don’t accept room G2 it’s bathroom is unacceptable at all.
Absolutely wonderful staff & location. Staff were incredible, and made every effort to make our stay a memorable one.
Short break
Kefalonia Grand Hotel is perfectly situated on the seafront in Argostoli with easy access to the town, bars and restaurants. The staff go the extra mile to ensure you have a wonderful stay. The breakfast is excellent. The rooms are clean and well appointed though a little small.
Great location right by the waterfront, which has restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, etc. Also, even though the hotel does not offer parking, we could always find a free parking spot right out front (May 2023). The hotel is modern and very well maintained. Breakfast was included and it had a good selection of cereals, fruit, breads, baked goods and sweets. Also, a limited menu of eggs/omelettes (however, would not recommend the pancakes). Last but not least, the staff are wonderful. Joanna at the front desk was very helpful; Timos in the dining area was charming and informative; and all the others were always friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend visiting Kefalonia, which has AMAZING beaches (you could walk to Costa Costa beach which is about 40 mins walk - very pleasant in May although likely brutally hot in July/August) or drive to either Antisamos or the magnificent Myrtos beach.
Wow! Words can not describe the experience. The staff, I mean everybody, were amazing. The location is perfect. Nicest hotel along the port in our opinion. Don’t hesitate. Book it!
Fantastic friendly and helpful service! The corridors and doors are noisy if you like a nap or early night. Our standard double room was very small so upgrade before going as it was full when we went and couldn’t change to a bigger room.
We had a fantastic stay at the Kefalonia Grand Hotel. The rooms were beautiful, the location excellent, and the staff (especially Marika) went above and beyond!
This hotel is perfectly located, staff is very professional and amicable and the room was amazing…spacious, comfortable, modern, nice view…
4 days in Argostoli
Quick and easy check-in - Marika was extremely welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. We stayed in a jetted tub suite on the top floor. The room was absolutely stunning with a fantastic terrace overlooking the harbour area. Fair selection of food on breakfast buffet - with coffee served by friendly staff (coffee making facilities in the room were not available but would have been useful). The hotel itself is a 2 minute walk from the lively main square and shopping area with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. We took the ferry over to Lixouri one day and also a taxi over to Makri Gialos beach which was absolutely amazing! Marika also organised our private transfer up to Fiskardo at the end of our stay when we made good use of the day with a tour of the island taking in many beautiful sights with a fantastic driver called Harris. All in all we had a great stay at the Kefalonia Grand ❤️
Love the Kef Grand! Amazing service and amenities
The location of the property is ideal and central to everything you require.
The property had a very nice lobby but the room was tiny, and the shower was so small that it was barely usable. The wifi did not make it up to the third floor, which is where our room was located. The entry door needed to be slammed to be shut, which our neighbors probably did not like. The AC was not strong enough to cool our small room, even overnight. The storage room to keep our bags an extra couple hours after checkout was not secure. I took them without being questioned, since there was no one at the front desk. Breakfast was great though. We will not stay there again.
Beautiful location , great service , speciality, Vangel, and Gerti the service in restaurant was excellent !Maria in front desk very helpful !
pros : personnel, great location, breakfast variety, balcony, modern design, hotel bar/restaurant very enjoyable cons : room shower needs update,
Lovely staff, really helpful front desk, who accommodated an early check in on a very hot day, air con a very welcome relief. A special mention also for the waiter and staff at breakfast, superbly polite and took care of our every need 🙂. Proper boutique decor adorns all areas, great showers and room with side view toward the sea. A fitting end to a great family adventure in kefalonia.
Amazing staff and very helpful. Perfect location as it’s a walking distance from the town
We were surprised by the property. Nicely presented, however rooms are tiny and minimalist and as such we felt compared to the numerous other islands we stayed at, room was overpriced. Shower was so small it was almost unusable - even for my partner who is 155cm and 42kg and she struggled. Similarly safe was the smallest i have ever seen
Wonderful hotel, although shower very small. Location and service wonderful. Few problems with safe on arrival but reception tried to solve problem and when they couldn’t they moved us to another room. Martha was especially helpful and lovely :)
Beautiful hotel in a great location along the water front. Staff were amazing. Every single person working there was helpful, friendly and attentive.
Second time here. Excellent service and rooms priced well
Great people , SMALL standard room and smaller shower- one of those corner units where the doors open half way. I a 200 pounds and had to turn off the water to lather. Also had the toilet seat all guys hate: won’t stay up unless you hold it. People and food were great
Very beautiful and picturesque overlooking the harbor. Rooms are a decent size. Bathroom a little small. Get Nikos to make you the best Late in Kefalonia! Pavlo and Gerti and Ioanna wonderful restaurant staff very kind and helpful! Get your breakfast right downstairs with view of the water ! Full breakfast keeps you going all day ! Loved our stay we would definitely stay again . Jane and Jimmy from Canada
Great experience at Kefalonia Grand Hotel. Amazing location in central area with a lot nice restaurants, stores. Very nice and friendly staff, the hotel and rooms has a beautiful style. I wish I could stay more time, Kefalonia is a breathtaking Island!
Great hotel
Great hotel . Evening menu much better . Gerty is always attentive in the evening . We have stayed several times at the grand and always enjoy it . See you next year .
Location was great and
Great hotel in the heart of Argostoli.
Lovely stylish rooms, though smaller than the pictures suggested. Included breakfast is fantastic and the service is top notch.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent location. Good food.
Super star place
One of those wishes Became true.
Great but a bit noisy
Great service, great view, friendly staff, rooms noisy and pretty low spec
Extremely disappointing
Our one night stay was extremely disappointing. There was no hot water in the room. When we mentioned this to the reception, we received no apology and were told that they knew about it. The exit light above the door was far too bright. After turning out the lights, it was still very light in the room. It was very noisy, being able to hear the music from downstairs despite being on the 3rd floor, as well as clearly hearing the sound of people walking along the corridor and closing their doors. The picture of the room type displayed did not reflect the room we were provided. We stayed in a superior partial sea view room, which is described as being larger than most of the other rooms. The room was much smaller than expected. Based on this experience, I would not be able to recommend the hotel.
Superb and elegant hotel - deserves 11/10
This hotel deserves 11/10! The staff could not have done more to make us feel welcome and looked after. Our room was stunning, exactly as shown in the pictures. The entire hotel is elegant, with individual and sophisticated styling. Location is superb and allowed easy access to all that Argostoli and Kefalonia have to offer.. which is plenty! Parking was not an issue, we always found a space free of charge. As a bonus, there is an excellent chef in the hotel restaurant, so you can have a great meal here if you don't fancy heading out (plus a lovely cocktail or 2!). Obviously, there are some restrictions due to COVID that the hotel must adhere to, but this was handled very professionally and certainly did not affect our stay. Our heartfelt thanks go to Vaseliki, Marika, Anna and the whole team, who were always on hand, with helpful advice and suggestions and made our stay in Kefalonia so special. I have every intention of returning to Kefalonia and would not consider staying anywhere else!
Outstanding service
We had a lovely four nights here. Everyone is very helpful, especially Vasiliki who made our trip extra special with her advice and sorting things out. The breakfast was also great!
Enjoyable stay in Kefalonia Grand Hotel
The hotel is centrally located and with amazing view to the sea. The poeple working there are amazing, always happy, very very helpfull and very efficient at their work. In these strange corona time we never felt in danger of an infection as more than enough measures were taken when at the same time our stay was comfortable and without any limitations to any services or facilities. only downside, we found that the price was a bit higher than what we would expect. overall, we highly recommend the property and we would definitely visit again!
really great hotel and service
This hotel and the whole experience was really lovely. All of the staff including on reception and serving food/drinks were extremely polite, welcoming and helpful. They always checked we were ok and enjoying our stay and if there was anything they could do to help. Reception staff recommended restaurants and trips that were all amazing. The room was lovely and view was great! Would go back again!
High quality boutique hotel
High quality hotel, great location, excellent food and service. In the room though was a little noisy, could hear other guests and rooms where generally slammed shut rather than being soft close. Although not the best night's sleep very enjoyable for a few days stay.
Wedding in Argostoli
We had the grand suite on the top floor with a spectacular view and everything was great!
Great hotel , stayed a few times before , Anna was very helpful and Gerty in the evenings serving was very attentive .
Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Also nice that they offer affordable laundry service. Not-so-great: Room layout different than on pictures (side-facing, not seafront). Floor-mounted air conditioning, very loud and not capable to keep the room below 27 degrees. Slow Wi-Fi. No gym.
Pleasant hotel , nice staff , good breakfast
Fantastic hotel - contemporary and luxury! Great selection of breakfast and the restaurant has fantastic food. The best dinners I’ve had was from the restaurant. Would come back again!
The hotel overbooked for our stay and had to place at a nearby hotel which split up our party. However, the staff at the Kefalonia Grand Hotel did everything in their power to make sure we were comfortable and accomodated for all of our needs. Highly recommend staying with them.
Location, food and staff fantastic, Air-conditioning noise an issue also parts of decoration ageing
Front desk was exceptional in welcoming us. During our stay and in our departing we felt very well cared for. Dining staff...some carry less and rely too much on their team members to carry out guests requests. This may bring about burnout. Not sure if the long hours is creating this condition.
The front desk employees were very nice and helpful! The location is great, the hotel very modern.
The staff went out of their way to make sure comfort was provided to every guest. Including providing terrycloth robes slippers and beach towels to guests
Very central, great friendly staff... clean modern property. Great location to stay to explore Kefalonia in full.
I do not know where to start! The welcome we received at check in was great, we were given a welcome drink and a brownie whilst we waited for our room to be ready. The room was nice and modern and it had everything that we needed. My one and only improvement would be to have a shower door for the bathroom in room 1A. The breakfast was also great. There was a lot of variety and was all very tasty! However, the customer service we received throughout our stay was incredible and probably the best service I have received at any hotel and I have travelled a lot! The staff were always friendly and helpful and always had a smile on their face! If we had any issues with car rental for example, they would always help us out. Every time we walked passed reception the staff always said hello and asked how we were and that goes a long way! The staff on reception (Stella and Estel) are a credit to the hotel and this is a prime example of Greek hospitality and filoxenia. You can tell that the staff love their job and really want to help, and that makes all the difference. Keep doing what you are doing! I will definitely recommend to all of my friends and family and when I return I will come back to stay at the Kefalonia Grand hotel! Thank you for making our stay perfect.
Great Hotel with the BEST Service
After a couple of hick-ups, and excellent customer service we had a wonderful stay at the Kefalonia Grand Hotel. Location was fantastic and the ladies at the front desk were extremely helpful. Also the night duty manager arranged breakfast on the go due to our early departure. Would definitely stay there again!!
The food was excellent, and the decor was very contemporary modern which I adored. The standard rooms were way to small and did not allow you to put ur suitcases anywhere else but the floor. The bathroom was dirty, there was an exposed sewer grate, and the shower had no wall or curtain to contain the water. The entire bathroom floor was wet after taking a shower.
This was our first trip to Kefalonia. The Grand Hotel suited us down to the ground. All the staff were wonderful. We had a first floor basic double room with a small balcony giving us a side view of the sea. It was perfectly adequate and allowed my husband and I room to spread our things out. The walk-in shower was also good, save that because there was only on side screen, it was impossible to stop water spraying over the rest of the showroom/toilet area when showering. The breakfast was great and although all day restaurant menu was set with no daily specials, all the food we had was delicious and the choice was superb, notwithstanding that we don't eat meat or shell fish. The portions were also very good and the prices were very competitive with abundance of local restaurants - both hear and far. Stella, the Concierge, and the other reception staff all helped us plan our days and were always available when needed. We will definitely be going back!
A absolutely perfect hotel in Kefalonia. I can't say enough good things about the Kefalonia Grand Hotel. The facilities are not only spotless but trendy and very well put together with a perfect location. You're walking distance from all the main areas. The restaurant was one of our top places to eat on the island. Also, we were helped by Stella at the hotel. She put together a customized itinerary for us on the island and checked in w/ us during our stay. I give the Grand an A++ and highly recommend it to all travelers.
Staff were really friendly. The hotel food was excellent. The only drawback was the lack of a pool.
This is a nice, bright and airy hotel. The staff are keen and efficient. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
An absolute gem!
Wow this place is beautiful! The staff are so helpful and friendly. We were bumped to a suite which was so stunning 😊 The views here are amazing and I really do highly recommend this hotel. The breakfast is so good too! I had such a lovely morning sitting having breakfast looking out at the water, apparently you can see turtles there but they weren't playing ball for me 😂 thank you to the lovely lady at reception who organised our onward journey to the ferry. We had a really lovely stay and hope to return again.
Great style and excellent service. Rooms are a little tight, but breakfast was great.
The location was superb just across the road from the lagoon. The hotel itself was visually pleasing and definitely the smartest around. The stand out feature though was the staff. Every single person we encountered had a smile and were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Staff remembered drinks orders, breakfast orders and room numbers, ordered taxis without query or fuss and were full of helpful suggestions for trips and things to see - a small thing perhaps but much appreciated none the less. Couldn’t fault it from start to finish and would definitely come back. Thanks all at The Kefalonia Grand.
A beautifully modern, clean boutique hotel with stunning views across Argostoli Port. The staff were extremely helpful, smiley and we were looked after without being fussed over. Our room was cleaned well daily and toiletries, water refreshed. Excellent
A very nice hotel. We had a lovely, modern, extraordinarily pleasant room with an extra bed for our daughter and two balconies with nice water views. The staff could not have been nicer; they were warm and friendly and very efficient. My only quibble is that the relative lack of a wall between the glass shower and the living area meant that i had to ask my daughter to move to a particular place in the room when i took a shower so that neither of us would be traumatized. Other than that, the room, and especially the staff were absolutely wonderful.
Great location, friendly and helpful staff. Lovely decor and breakfast options.
Nice boutique hotel
Great location overlooking the water, smart and elegant decor, friendly staff, outstanding food!
Wonderful Staff
Excellent stay. Hotel was clean and modern in a GREAT location. It may be a little extra but the balcony rooms are a must! The staff are absolutely BRILLIANT, very kind and helpful and service was prompt.
Amazing staff and a good location
The hotel is in a good location. The best bit about the hotel is the staff. I don’t think I have ever stayed anywhere with friendlier, or more helpful staff. Always smiling and happy to help. Thank you
Lovely boutique hotel on the harbour
This is a really lovely hotel - the décor throughout is gorgeous. It is ideally located on the harbour with lots of restaurants close by as well as shops and the port. A great base for exploring the island. The staff couldn't be more helpful - both on reception and in the restaurant - the service was fantastic. We booked our airport taxi transfer through the hotel (20 euros each way) and reception could also book tours and other activities for us, and made lots of helpful suggestions. The selection of food at breakfast is great, as is the dinner and cocktail menu! We thought we might miss having a swimming pool but there is a lovely beach just a short taxi ride a way which meets all relaxation / swimming needs. We didn't have a sea view room and I think if we stayed again it would be worth paying a bit extra for this. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Great stay in central Argostoli location
On the whole a great stay. Friendly staff, superb location, delicious breakfast and good water pressure from the shower. Even though the room was right behind the reception desk there was a good dividing door which blocked out all noise. We stayed in a basic twin room. The room was a decent size with comfy beds but the bathroom took a little getting used to - we weren't sure if it was 'modern' design or unfinished but there was little space for toiletries, nowhere to hang towel/clothes (the one iron hook was falling out the wall) and it was more like a shower room so always wet (not so nice for the person who showers second!). This was the only gripe though. Everything else was great and I would happily stay here again, maybe just in a better room.
Superb Hotel with excellent staff
We had two weeks at this beautiful hotel. On arrival we were shown to our room which was stylish and comfortable. The lobby area has the wow factor... The staff are what makes this hotel, nothing is too much trouble, Stella is an absolute star, she is so friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the island and restaurants. She gave us a map and pointed out places we should visit. The breakfast was superb plenty of choices and always served with a smile. Car hire is a must if you need to explore the island however the buses are very reliable and great value. Overall an excellent hotel and we had a fantastic holiday.
Hotel in capital of Kephalonia
Hotel isn't where google maps shows it but further along the front ... we were given a welcome drink and shown to our room Initially we thought room was a lot smaller than the superior sea view room we booked - but actually was the same. overall a lovely place to stay and appears to be one of the nicer places to be.
Excellent location, excellent staff
The hotel location is great, fab views over the lagoon and splendid views of mountain backdrop. Very central for pedestrian square, promenade etc.

The staff are lovely and really make this hotel. They’re always so cheerful and helpful. The room (superior side sea view) wasn’t what I would call luxury by any means but the bed was comfy and the shower was good so overall we thought it was fine. The rooms just looked a bit tired and small.
