Everything was perfect I stayed at this hotel for 3 times during Christmas seasons in the past but 1 thing disappointed me that “ no free water in the room “ it’s very important for all guests travelling from everywhere in the world to stay at 5 stars hotel and expect to have fresh water after check in this point really disappointed me and makes me feel like I should be treated better at another 5 stars hotel
DO NOT USE THE CHANGE PLACE NEXT DOOR (ATTACHED TO THE HOTEL) THEY TOOK 8€ ON 20€. I GOT 12€ WORTH OF MONEY AND WHEN I COMPLAINED THE HOTEL SAID "OH YOU SHOULD'VE SAID YOU WERE STAYING HERE" but when i asked them to tell the guy, they refused. ALSO PARKING IS A PAIN IN THE REAR (litteraly have to park in the rear of the block and walk a lot)
The hotel and staff where excellent and so to was the food which was available for breakfast in the attached restaurant- the Fat Cat. The room was spacious. It would have been good if we had access to more than one English speaking channel on the TV other than Sky News. Very happy with the hotel and the Cold War Museum in its basement is a must see visit
Excellent position for access to shops, museums, Christmas markets and the old town. Staff extremely helpful at reception and restaurant. Special thanks to concierge Robert for assistance and friendly approach. Lovely traditional, good quality and stylish rooms and facilities. We would stay again.
The location is perfect! Breakfast was very good with a nice variety. Front desk staff were extremely helpful.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, access to metro and Prague Christmas market was really good Breakfast was very nice and restaurant was very clean Would highly recommend
Pretty good
Pretty good would be happy to go back, minor issue with the cleanliness was the room was quite dusty probably due to the old carpet. But apart from that pretty good experience.
Great hotel in good location
Lovely historic hotel in good location. Bar and restaurant now independently owned and closed on arrival 22.30 hours. Probably not a 5 star hotel. Clean and tidy. On a downside hotel took a deposit for room and still no reimbursement despite not using mini bar.
Lovely characterful hotel in the centre of Prague
Great hotel and the rooms were lovely. Staff very helpful. Exceedingly clean. However there have been a lot of changes to the main reception area compared to the photos. The hotel bar and restaurant is run by a private company ? American style. Breakfast is taken in this restaurant - accessible by the reception. The bar/restaurant was closed when we arrived at 22.30. We did book one room initially for 3 people to include breakfast, but then booked a second room for one person with no breakfast. On the first morning we asked to pay for breakfast for one person but were informed we had to pay for two people. The ? head receptionist was a bit rude to us about this but following a discussion with the hotel manager this was sorted out and there were no issues for the rest of our stay. The visit to the underground bunker under the hotel was fabulous and is highly recommended. I am not sure the hotel warrants 5 stars but it is a nice place to stay.
Very nice hotel with historic significance. It’s well situated with many restaurants and stores close by. Old town is a walkable distance away. The beds and linen are both comfortable. Staff is very friendly and competent.
Good stay at a great location with an interesting history. Well worth the visit and stay
Great breakfast and staff.
Comfortable stay.
Hotel is comfortable and pretty well located. The cleaners start early and there is a lot of door slamming that echoes down the corridor into the rooms, not too good if you want a lay-in.
It was lovely and staff was great
Great location and Spacious room.
Great location
Great location. Really helpful stage. Nice breakfast included.
Fabulous location. Within 30 minutes or less walking distance to a large majority of the scenic locations in the city. Truly the perfect location to stay. We opted for the free breakfast which was wonderful. So many options. The restaurant stayed busy all day and into the night. We enjoyed sitting in their sidewalk seating. Truly enjoyable.
they were very helpful
Mediocre hotel - not sure how they get 4 stars
It is a very basic hotel with no frills. Location is good. Staff is courteous but the rooms are dated. There is just one outlet for plugs in the room. I am not sure how they rate this hotel as a 4 star. The only good thing here is the restaurant.
2 nights stay in Prague
The staffs were all accommodating and pleasant, location is very central, everything is just steps away and transportation is not an issue. Room is very clean, i love the towels, thick and soft, beddings are very nice. We had a very good sleep. Breakfast was very good, has got loads of selection and on our last day i asked for a packed breakfast as we were leaving early in the morning, they accommodated our request and the packed breakfast was very generous amount and selection. The best thing was the air-conditioning which was working. Will definitely be staying here again. The only negative was that we were suppose to have 1 tour free but was not offered and a free welcome drinks for two that was not offered nor given. Although we were not keen on drinks , it would have been nice to be offered one.
Excellent location & great services.
Very old building in a busy, dirty part of town. Zero amenities and the reception service. was very low quality. The adjacent restaurant is very bad.
Hotel room is nice with balcony overseeing city. Cleaning service is good. The design of the room does not keep outside movie out however. If ok with that and big crowds with average size room this is a good hotel for central location of city and walkable to many things.
Nice hotel with good cleaning services. The room has a nice balcony overlooking the city. The design of the room however does not keep outside noise from being heard inside the room. If y
Excellent experience. Good location and fantastic breakfast. I definitely visit again.
Nice view
Nice room with a great view of Wenceslas Square with a small step out balcony. The room was well laid out and the bathroom had great amenities and soaps. Large comfy bed and nice sitting area. Convenient to main train station and old town.
Great staffs helpful and kind as soon as you step in. Very professional. We had a very comfortable stay! The bed the bath and products were great! I wished there was a proper coffee machine. And more plugs / usb in the room. Don’t miss the bunker museum underneath! A Must and free for guests of the hotel. Special THANK YOU to the 3 fantastic staffs at the reception and amazing Guide hosting us at the bunker
On the square
Very close to the main train station. The WIFI, shower, and hair dryer were fantastic. Mattress is on the firm side-if you like that. breakfast was pretty good. Down side, I wish there was a luggage stand and did not use l'occitane products (fragrance is way too strong)… the local manufaktura would be so much better. Also, I would like an outlet closer to the bed. However, if you want to be on the Square or within walking distance to the train station, this is for you.
Nice hotel but rooms look a lot more dated than the photos would suggest. Rooms didn’t seem to reflect the overall look and feel of the hotel.
Excellent
Excellent weekend in the Jalta hotel
Unwelcoming staff
The location of the property is good, the manager allowed us to change room the following day to a bigger one. The rest of the team in reception were very unwelcoming, did not acknowledge us when getting in or out the hotel. Breakfast was very average, and they do not know how to make a fried egg, all lookes dry, the front of house of the restaurant were very rude and unprofessional, looks like if your breakfast is included in the hotel you are ignored by them, oky attention is for outside customers. The breakfast room is a clubthat makes it weird to eat. The manager in the restaurant might need some customer service training, she was very dismissive and unwelcoming. The room needs some attention but was very quiet. We would not choose this hotel again.
A lovely hotel in a great location
Excellent location, friendly helpful staff, lovely air conditioned room ( very much needed given the heat in Prague when we went). Buffet Breakfast was tasty will good range of hot and cold options. Would recommend to others
Do not stay here
The check in process was great. She was the ONLY pleasant employee except the one concierge. We had no air conditioning and they tried to convince us we did. We had to sleep with the balcony door open to get any type of air circulation. So the noise from the street kept us up all night. While the location was great, until they have new leadership I would actually take this off of a recommended hotel list. It was horrible.
Absolutely wonderful hotel. Loved it!!!
The staff were all super friendly & helpful. The room with a balcony (no chairs provided) was at the noisy front of the hotel so barely got any sleep during the nights. The room I was allocated was dated, dusty and smelt musty when I arrived. The room was cold even it got chilly overnight, and was warm when it got hot outdoors. It’s my second stay at the hotel and I’m afraid will be my last. The first time the room was light & fresh, and had a bigger bathroom, but for the pricey amount I paid per night - I’d have expected better standard of accommodation.
Everything was good The room a bit small
Fantastic location for exploring Prague, close to the railway station and AirPort Express. Good choice for breakfast and staff were excellent, very friendly and more than happy to help with sorting a taxi. Rooms very comfortable, bathrooms clean and air conditioning was great. Only real downside was the garden view, which was not really a garden and overlooked by an office. But just a minor issue as we used the hotel as a base to explore
excelent location
Hotel was very nice and clean in excellent location. For sure will be back.
unhelpful employee!!!!
All employees are unhelpful .. except Mr. dipankar He was very helpful and understanding, location is good
Excellent hotel with fantastic service!
We had an amazing stay! The staff were so helpful and friendly! We had been inter-railing in Europe and arrived very early in the day at the hotel so we could drop our bags off to explore Prague. Our room was ready so they let us use the room early which was such a bonus! We have been travelling for two weeks and I would say this was our favourite hotel on our travels! The rooms are lovely, beds are very comfortable and the staff were so helpful and friendly! The breakfast was of an excellent standard with lots of choice and once again very helpful and friendly staff. We will definitely return to Prague and stay at the Jalta Boutique Hotel!
There's no hot water at shower... Really? How can it be? Very disappointed.
Overall a good experience
The room is clean and in a good size, location is convenient. The only issue is the noise from the high traffic street outside of the window could affect your sleeping quality at night.
The staff was extremely helpful in suggesting restaurants and must see sites. Breakfast was amazing. Quite possibly the best buffet my wife and I have ever enjoyed in our extensive travels. Attending staff kept it fresh , plentiful and attentive. The decor of the restaurant/ bar area was outstanding. The hotel museum tour conducted by Victor was splendid. He was great. Simply put, this hotel has been our favorite in our month long trip in Europe. Well done Jalta. Thanks
Great location. Views. Fantastic bar attached. Awesome staff
First class welcome and enthusiasm by hotel staff, nothing seemed too much trouble including arranging booking of airport transfers and Medieval night. Amazing breakfast, great location and lovely bar with a great vibe. I would highly recommend this hotel, staff are a an absolute credit to the hotel 10/10, customer service at its best.
Property did not meet cleanliness standards to the extent that I checked out and went to a different hotel instead. I do not recommend this property at all.
Nice enough ….
Good location, clean and comfortable. Room a little dated, not 5 star. Breakfast ok, plenty of choice. Be aware bottles of water left in room are not complimentary, a bit misleading!
Nice hotel would definitely come back here.
Came for a couple of days to celebrate my birthday. The hotel was in a great location, was clean and tidy and the staff were all very nice. Unfortunately the window screens in our room were hanging down in the middle and the curtains didn’t meet to close properly.
Please fix the air conditioning in room 702!
Travelling as a family we booked two rooms for a long weekend, both were on 7th floor. Receptionist very helpful on arrival, even got into room early. Rooms clean and tidy. One major issue was air conditioning in room 702 which meant struggled to get room to a bearable temperature and poor sleep. The adjacent room we had (703) the air conditioning worked perfectly and was very comfortable. The weather was mid twenties during the day. Contacted reception twice on day two but despite assurances around the air conditioning it was no better the second night. Had to open up door onto balcony to help but, as the hotel has such a central location, this meant constant house to 3am. Note: sound proofing is excellent when balcony door is closed so traffic noise isn’t a problem. Result was another poor nights sleep. Prague is a wonderful city, it’s such a shame that a lack of sleep hampered our enjoyment. On the plus side the breakfast buffet has a good range and also good quality. Ate in the Jalta cafe one night and food was good (although I expected a few more than the 12 French fries that arrived with a very tasty burger). Hotel management: please, please, please sort out the air conditioning in room 702. I really would not want to have anyone else struggle the way we had to.
This hotel has all modern conveniences, great location, superb staff, excellent free breakfast, great history of the building (with a tour of the cold-war beautiful bomb shelter in the basement).
The hotel a little bit old but the location is absolutely great. Also even though is older everything was clean and worked perfect as far as shower pressure and toilet. Those things are absolutely terrible to find work perfect in USA older hotels or even newer. Overall I was happy w the hotel.
Its central, didnt like the suit we booked as it over looked the court yard, which is ugly, so we asked to be put in a superior room with a balcony, looking over the town which was a lot better. Welcome drink voucher was only for proseco, which we choose not to have, and free entry into there museum had to be 9pm, which we thought was to late.
Ideal position The hotel is a bit below its normal Standard. Certainly due to very few Guests staying there. I will consider it for my next stay, but There are many options now and many At better standard. I loved my room with balcony. The view was fantastic! That alone is perhaps worth the next stay…
Great location
Great stay great customer service good English very central to everything Just a great spot will return.
Nice hotel comfy a Yes from me !
Location was great. It’s a old hotel in need of remodel. Plugs for phone recharge were very few and inaccessible
Loverly hotel, staff so helpful and friendly. Great location for City Centre
Trip to Prague
Lovely hotel. Food really good and breakfast was a huge selection. Bar service could be a little slow at times. Rooms were comfortable and clean only drawback was no plug beside mirror and what woman nowadays doesn’t straighten her hair. We were next to a room that was being renovated and was a bit of noise early morning sounded like they were removing tiles. The hotel is very central to everything with lots of restaurants to choose from. Overall we would choose this hotel again.
Good breakfast, food was lovely and reasonable price in the restaurant. Good size room, very clean. Staff were really helpful and nothing was too much for them. Awesome Cold War museum in the hotel which is a must do and the guide is so informative. Nice and central with lovely views. Would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again.
Overall a decent hotel on prime location
Overall good hotel - did the job although interior could be more modern. Rooms were spacious with decent views
I thought the pictures look differnt to the room it was good but the staff didn’t really help us English people The brekfwdt was nice xx
The hotel is well situated and the staff were very attentive. We were unfortunate to have a room over looking a construction site and as such there was quite a bit of noise but not too disruptive overall. The hotel decor is a little dated but the amenities, staff attentiveness, toiletries etc are all wonderful
One complaint: the temperature
Nice hotel, however would of been a lot nicer and more comfortable had the room not been so hot in the room. We turned all heating off we had control of but was still rediculously hot. No one asked on checking out whether everything had been okay.
A very nice hotel well located within 10 minutes walk of the old square. Breafast was average. Rooms were spotlessly clean
‘Superior’ rooms aren’t that superior, don’t be fooled by the wide-angle lens shots, they’re small and not 5*. Wenceslas Square can be noisy if you’re on the front of the hotel and the small TV was poor (only 2 UK business channels and not a great signal). Apart from that, breakfast was first class and the location is very good - but don’t forget the earplugs.
The staff were lovely and it was central to everything
Clean. Great location. Great breakfast. Easy check in process
Perfect Location!!!
Perfect location in city centre! Wonderful historical building (but this of course means not-so-new amenities/look to the room) and the breakfast is a MUST!!! I used to live near Wenceslas Square previously and staying at this hotel was a wonderful way to welcome me back to the city! PS- The hotel strictly adhered to their 2PM checkin time, so if you arrive early, be prepared to store your luggage until the clock hits 14:00 😊
A central hotel in a great location. Walking distance to main attractions.
Excellent locations
The receptionist are very helpful. During my breakfast people work in the breakfast speaking there own dialect (Czech) while we were eating instead of going around to check with the customers, standing around the corner chatting away. The guy from the bar are not nice, look not interested to served, looks tired and busy with his phone. Overall it’s a excellent hotel even though it’s dated style.
Our Go To Place!
Great hotel and great location! Super comfortable beds and great breakfast.
Nice hotel, no aircon in October and they were having a heatwave, couldn't open the windows as it was too noisy with building work going on, but they were kind enough to provide a fan.. Breakfasts were delicious
We thought wenslalas square , would be nice , but it's noisy, dirty and full of down and outs !!
The property was Grand, inside out. Lobby, lifts, corridors and stairs were in a pristine condition. In my opinion, the Como restaurant with its outdoor terrace was the highlight of the hotel. Lighting in and out was great as well as the background music, which added a sense of relaxation to the atmosphere. Only take is on the room, which I felt it needed a facelift.
Fantastic property
Absolutely wonderful hotel in a lovely location close to everything.
Hotel is located on Vaclave Square, probably the most popular center in Prague. You are in walking distance from many historical places in the city and 2-3 minutes walking distance from metro stations. Building looks recently renewed, everything is clean and updated. Staff is very friendly. They have vale parking also, something very difficult to find in that kind of prime location.
Helpful staff, good breakfast. Location was great.
Disappointed
Was to be charged on my daughter’s credit card, charged on mine when I returned home and higher than quote! First room they assigned us to was for 2 people, we were 3 people There were other places we stayed nicer and far less money!
The bath was not working.
Location. Clean. Location. Clen. Location. Clean. Locationetc...........
It is very lovely place just 10 minutes walking from old city. Very good restaurant, Nothing to complain about.
The rooms are very small in size. I booked a superior room which looked big in pictures but in reality was given a tiny room. Not very clean and tidy as you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Breakfast was okay but again not like a 5 star standard.
Every thing it was okay, I hope in future they have a private parking for the guest
Good
Good location, excellent service and staff. A little outdated in the rooms but overall good.
The whole team at the jalta were excellent in their customer care. An excellent choice for a short city break to prague
Boutique hotel might not be the best designation for that hotel. It does not have the boutique feel, nor the service. It has an amazing location. It is clean and functional. the decor in the room is a bit old and it has not had the technology upgrade you'd hope for. Bathroom amenities are good. The front office staff is pleasant and welcoming however not very knowledgeable. The buffet for breakfast is okay. Very good yoghurt and coffee. The staff at the restaurant has no time for the clients of the hotel. They are more interested with the potential paying exterior clients. The service at the restaurant is not great. And there was a very tall rude lady. It was a fair product.
Air conditioning very bad
Friendly staff Great restaurant Spacious Room Air conditioning not working final night hence lower rate
Stayed in a superior room.Very spacious and stylish.Como restaurant very good for breakfast.outdoor verrandah seating available made for a lovely setting.Food at the evening outstanding quality and 10% discount for residents.Handy location.Road noise overnight could be a problem .
The property is supposed to be a 5-star hotel. However, the rooms are small and feel very cramped, the carpets are dirty, and the TVs and amenities are outdated. The location is good, but that's about it.
Wonderful Hotel
I can’t say enough good things about our stay! The staff was polite, welcoming and very professional. We enjoyed our meals at their Restaurant as well which was excellent. Our room was comfortable and clean and the bed was clean and very comfortable to sleep on. We will be back to this hotel soon we hope! Thank you to Jalta Boutique Hotel for making our stay in Prague so great!
Great Location and Good Brekkie
Pleasant stay here. Breakfast was good. Rooms were a little dated but clean and functional. Wish they had a bigger fridge and that they offered a bottle of drinking water.
It was close to city centre, reception staff were a bit rude and unfriendly and sheets on the bed had holes in for a 5 star hotel this wasn't great. However they did bring the car out for us but had to pay to park it.
Our room was over looking a building site!! We couldn’t move room until the next day and then they forgot to reserve the new rooms. They were then taken. Eventually we got new rooms
Not the greatest hotel...
This is really a three star hotel at best. The view of my room was terrible. Pillows were quite uncomfortable. The staff wasn’t helpful when I complained about the view. At the check out I was asked to pay for the city tax. Although not that much but made me feel uncomfortable. The staff didn’t seem that well trained but nevertheless nice. WiFi was pretty slow and not available at all times...
Good Shower and cleanliness excellent. Not good Water was expensive in the room, most places I’ve stayed provide free of charge. No view from the window, looking straight to a building that was having work done, so noisy. Breakfast was not brilliant. Staff were not particularly helpful, wanted details of airport shuttle and was so complicated got a taxi instead.
overall probably a 4 star hotel. Some of the decor needed some updating. Best aspects - location and restaurant. Breakfast was superb. Worst aspect was lighting in the room - unable to read in bed.
great hotel! wonderful location good breakfast
