This hotel is absolutely horrible. Checked in with sand in both beds, so the sheets weren’t cleaned. Towels are worned out. No fridge, the TV barely worked. The AC doesn’t respond to the remote, so we were forced to sleep with whatever temperature it decides to give us. The hotel has no kettle, or blow dryers. Overall just completely terrible. P.S. The doors and windows are not sealed, so you can hear all the cars, talking, cars and dogs the entire night.
Nice staff and convenient location
Good breakfast, average service, room terrible.
This hotel had a kind and good customer service, as most Filipino are. But the condition of the room was so bad. They moved us from our original hotel room, because the A/C was broken before we even saw our room. So we said, sure. Why not. We just arrived here anyways. They said the new room was bigger and across the road. The room looked fine at first, but issues happened. Hot water didn't work half the time, toilet would stop working 3 of 4 days there, bed mattress was HARD as a rock and aircon decided to stop working on the last 2 days. the location wise is only 2-3 mins walk to the town centre, which is nice, and most of the tricycle drivers know the name, but I feel like there's better choices for the money in the area. The breakfast was good though. Lots of options and the food was fine. Had fresh omelets on demand, fresh fruit, garlic rice, and a bunch of typical Filipino meats. It changed daily. Early around 7am, you can get pancakes too. They run out fast.
This place looks nice in the pictures but it isn’t that nice at all . There were bat/rat droppings in the rooms , and bathroom . We asked for it to be cleaned and it wasn’t . Also the critters can be very noisy at times , then water started leaking from the walls onto our luggage, they came and just threw a towel on the floor then left . It was our last night there , so wasn’t much we could do . The breakfast wasn’t covered , so theirs flys and mosquitos on all the food . The staff were nice , helped carry luggage up to the fourth floor , and killed a spider the size of a baseball in our room . But other than that wouldn’t really recommend.
I did not like this hotel at all. It’s dirty and the staff are not friendly
Bathroom was dirty and they wouldn’t clean our room
Staff so great
Location is nice walkable on night life, restaurants and shopping
There were several plusses and minuses about Ipil Suites. The location was centrally located for dining and getting around. The breakfast was good and they even opened a little early for us so we had something to eat before a 5:45 AM pickup. But there were several things I did not enjoy about our stay there. First, there was no elevator to get to the top floor. I sprained my ankle before our trip and it was difficult getting to our room on the fourth floor. The WiFi on that floor was spotty at best. The first morning there when I walked down for breakfast my hand was dirty due to the dust on the handrail. The small room is very small and I would not recommend it. We upgraded to a larger room which was fine. The sink in the bathroom didn’t have super hot water which made shaving challenging. I always feel a nice place is in the details and I didn’t enjoy the details at Ipil Suites.
It was very close to the beach where you start the island hopping tours and the restaurants are quite close.
The staff are very nice and approachable. The property walking distance to the beach and shopping area. Their breakfast is so good. I highly recommend this propery to my family and friends.
Pros: the staff welcoming, friendly and open to help you. Breakfast, if you like salty one. Good positioning, close to the main road with restaurants and bars. Cons: standard room is quite small:bed and small cabin, one night table, a structure where to place a medium bag. Once you arrive the room is quite clean, but cleaning activities throughout the stay are not well done. Bathroom is small, the shower has no door and it’s hard to get the right water temp (too hot). Depending on the position, the room can be very noisy. Beware of room 201: close to the stairs (and the door is not isolating, depending on how other hosts behave you might hear everyone), a window that does not close well, on a road with people and vehicles passing day and night. Last but not least, ANTS: pay attention if you have any food with you.
Woke up every time a vehicle passed by
Cheap but old hotel near everything in town
The main thing this hotel has going for it is the location. It’s conveniently located in town near all the restaurants, shops and beach where all the day tours leave from. However, the condition of the hotel is nowhere near what’s advertised in the pictures. It’s very old and rundown. You can tell that nothing has been updated or fixed in years. It also has no elevator so if you’re older or cannot easily go up and down stairs this is not the hotel for you. At first our sink did not work either and although they fixed it, once they did it would not turn off all the way and constantly running. The air conditioner in the room worked well at least.
Amazing staff everyone was so friendly. The location was perfect, just a few minutes from the beach (walking) and dining options all around the property.
Hotel Was OK, definitely not worth the price tag, Backyard door had some cracks so cockroachs were coming in, room too small bathroom was ok.
My staying there was really pleasant overall. Howerever. I would like to suggest three points of improvement: 1. Despite that I always kept my door and window closed, the mosquitoes managed to get it, not sure how. But it might be good if you can check for any cracks or hole in the ceiling for future tenants. 2. There was a strong naphthalene smell during all my staying, the second night I got a little headache because of that. 3. The foot tub was damaged and I was not able to use it. This is really useful considering that after the boat tours usually people return with sand in their feet/shoes/flipflops. I hope these review suggestions help you grow.
Rating would be better if it's accessible to all including PWD and elders on all floors. Second, place needs an upgrade, features and fixtures need a good update. Nevertheless, the staff were all on top of everything. Easy to talk to, friendly, and respectful. Lastly, food is amazing!
Staff very helpful and friendly
Very comfortable, very friendly staff willing to help you immediately when you required it.
Good area for tourism. Staff was friendly!
Overall clean and helpful staff but the property needs maintenance upkeep and air flow throughout the check in area and halls. It’s humid and has the lingering smell of food. I would choose another location to stay at.
The staff are very helpful and very friendly
What I liked the most was their breakfast. We always go out early in the morning for our island-hopping tours, and we make sure we are full and their food is super delicious. They serve Filipino breakfast and also have a Western breakfast. It is near the port, which is very convenient for us. There are also many restaurants around. During our stay, I noticed I smelled something like a sewer smell but it was not that bad.
The first room the bathroom ceiling was leaking.
we stayed 2 night and we came back since we went to other island, very convenient, the staff very friendly, good hotel
The service is superb. The place is very ideal
Dining room staff were good, front desk were decent, but this hotel is dated and needs rrepairs. Had to room change first day, my room key was bent, and the door looked like it had been kicked in, plus the fridge stank. Wifi was very weak, and the beds were like plywood to sleep on, uncomfortable...
Decent hotel in downtown el nido
Decent affordable hotel in downtown el nido. Room was pretty clean and wifi worked well. There was also drinking water available which saves you multiple trips to the store for bottled water. My main complaint is that the room is not well insulated from the outside so we can a couple of mosquitoes in our room and it is very noisy when the street below is busy.
Good location and friendly staffs.
Central location
In the heart of the town. Very clean and there were no ants. The only thing was no elevator however the staff took our luggage up/down. Food was wonderful. Staff was wonderful even though they were so busy.
This hotel looked great in the pictures but it is a little outdated. We loved the friendly staff who was so accommodating. The only drawback was the poor internet reception and poor WiFi connection. My phone kept going back and forth between WiFi and LTE (2 bars), which used up almost 3 GB of my international data plan in the 3 days there. But I have to admit the location is fantastic, minutes walking from all the tours on the beach and all the cool food and shopping places. Would I stay here again? Yes. Affordable, cheap, good food, good service, good location. Just don’t go on with expectations of an upscale hotel. It is not, but it was worth the price.
I really enjoyed my stay at Ipil. Close to all amenities and the beach is literally behind the hotel. The room was beautiful and equipped with everything you need along with friendly staff who are happy to assist any way possible.. Breakfast was good too with many options available.
The breakfast selection were good, the staff are polite and friendly, rooms were kept clean. I just wish there were more amenities available in our room. We got the most expensive suite however we only got soap and towels like it was nothing special inside aside from tall room.
I love the front desk staff they’re very helpful and kind, love the cleanliness, love the breakfast and the staff in the kitchen are very polite and kind. Rooms are very nice and tidy.Excellent definitely recommend it to my family and friends, Planning to come back with my kids hopping next year.
I loved the location and breakfast. Room was adequate. Fair amount of street noise but liked to be in center of El Nido. This is a good value but dont expect upscale hotel experience. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Won’t be staying here again
I booked 4 nights here and after the second night I booked another hotel.
Very disappointed property was not clean glass was dirty breakfast was disappointing given raw rolls. Toilet did not flush at times..bathroom was not clean. Balcony was really dirty. Positives great location and free hot and cold drinking water
It was a nice place.but they do some renovation right now.water so clear and clean.
All the staff were very nice and they have great service. Breakfast was included every morning.
Ok for a night or two but nothing special
The hotel was nothing to write home about. There was a lot of work being done in the area so that made everything noisy. The hotel and the room were really dated and noone seems to have done anything to improve it in the past at least 10 years. The douche was unusable, the shower only stayed on if i kept holding onto the knob. When the toilet paper ran out noone replaced it until i had to go down to the reception and ask for it and the same was for the towels.
It’s a great location close to the beach and main shopping streets. Port is at the end of the block if you’re catching a early morning ferry. We booked a superior room - ours faced the road on the second floor which wasn’t pleasant to the point we had to wear ear plugs. Our bathroom ceiling had water/mold stains. Our bed sheets had a tear in them. The positives are the decent breakfast, pleasant staff, location, good size bathrooms and that drinking water was available outside the room.
The staff are friendly and helpful, however the bathroom smells to bad , definitely the entire El Nido needs to do something for their sewer issue Otherwise the hotel is in a good spot near by bars also ng the beach
I really liked the location. The hotel was a little worn but served its purpose.
Room was clean and the Breakfast was good. The WiFi works depending on how close the room is to the main lobby. The bed was hard and there was no sound privacy. Mainly, you can hear the loudness in the hallway and lobby from the room.
Unwanted room
When I look for best deals, I don't mean no-view, popped-up-tiled-room-103. Really Expedia? It was that bad that I cannot even be bothered to stay another night neither ask for a refund. I gladly forfeited my stay and I would consider other better service options that could advise me on better rooms and flight seats available. I had to straddle between websites but I learnt to endure the agony. Never put a customer in a room that was behind a service kitchen area. Again, good deals does not mean that I ask for something worst that I can ever imagine from Expedia.sg. Please restore my faith and I'll be glad to use Expedia as my traveller confidante.
Uncomfortable Stay & Unclever Staffs
We supposed to stay for 1 night as a overlay for the early boat trip from El Nido to Coron, but the typhoon hit us badly and we were stuck staying at El Nido and had to cancel all our diving and tour plans further. This hotel luckily had rooms left for our stay during typhoon, but they were not so clever to keep us conveniently in 1 room at all times, since nobody could check in during the typhoon too. So, there were plenty of rooms. As I got injured from bad accident before we got here, they were not so thoughtful of providing a room on ground floor for all nights. Instead, they needed us to move up and down everyday to change rooms! Breakfast restaurant people were much more clever and had good service. Hotel staffs were not professional enough to handle our boat updates for every morning and handling the packed breakfasts as they promised, just simply, because 'staffs didn't told kitchen they had to prepare'. The quality of people are below standard and the longer we stayed there, the less happy the staffs were. They were only putting up fake smiles to all guests at first arrival. Rooms had ants crawling around, hair from previous staying guests, flooding through windows, uncleaned clothes rack on balconies, small bathrooms, lack of amenities, etc.
Inconsiderate
I totally understand the hotel booking policies. However, we were unable to reach El Nido on our designated date since we got stranded at Coron due to a typhoon. Hotel management refused to refund us even after offering to pay them a cancellation fee. They'd rather keep our money and just rebook within the next six months. The typhoon is a force majeure and a little consideration to already disappointed guests would have been helpful.
Close to beach
Good location, but too dam noisy. From 2:30am to 7am the roosters are so dam loud. From 7am onwards you get noisy dogs. Also, the bathroom had a bunch of little bugs coming out of the electrical out let. There were many little bugs in the washroom and some in the room. No Elevator so you will need to carry your bags up or down the stairs. Breakfast was okay, but nothing fancy.
Our overall stay was pleasant. The staff was accommodating and the rooms were comfortable. I liked how the rooms were kept cool and clean, but WiFi could only be used in the lobby. We came during a renovation, so there were times when it was loud during the day. It is located in a busy street, so oftentimes you’ll hear tricycles and people from outside. If you booked a tour, it isn’t too far from the beach. My mom and i were able to walk easily to the meet up location in about 7 minutes. Their breakfast was my favorite of all my stays in the Philippines. It was a buffet style and it was a little different every day. It was worth what i paid for so i would recommend it to others.
Simple, Tidy amazing staff
Amazingly helpful staff! Good clean room. Ideally located near the beach. 24hr check in was really helpful too.
nightmare
run down hotel black out blocked toilet no lift smelly no security box
Nice hotel close to everything
I had a good experience with this hotel. Food was good and the room was clean. My only problem was the sink in the toilet was clogged.
Nice hotel which includes breakfast and WiFi, though very poor quality WiFi.
Hotel close to everything but that is it
Wi-fi was really bad. The street where Ipil suites, expect it to be flooded when raining. The room is too small compare to other hotel rooms. And our AC was working the most of our stay
Vacay
Awesome
Good stay
Great hotel. They have good breakfast and nice staff. Also there's a backup generator so there's electricity most of the time.
Nice hotel
Hotel is clean, short drive to all the tourist attraction spots but need to improve on the wifi connection through all the rooms in the hotel rather than just the lobby.
Outstanding front line staff
Good Points 1. Excellent front line staff especially Flor, etc 2. Good location accessible to everything 3. Very clean 4. Decent sized room (307) 5. Decent breakfast 6. Good security 24 hours 7. Good guy/boy mopping the floor 24/7 (crazy though - they should just make guests take off shoes at the entrance) Improvement Points 1. Shower broken 2. No wifi 3.
Very nice hotel right in the heart of town
When we first arrived at the hotel the staff were very welcoming, friendly and courteous. The rooms were sparkling clean and tidy. One thing they need to do is improve their wifi to the whole hotel rather than just the lobby. Overall, I liked the whole experience staying at the hotel and would recommend anyone to stay at their hotel.
Not great
Don't pay more than $30/night to stay here. The rooms are very basic. Both nights I stayed here, my eye lid/lip got swollen from an allergic reaction to something in the room. Wifi didn't work while I was there. The hotel staff was helpful.
El Nido
Excellent Very nice staffs and professional
The room is small, which I don't really care about... but the bathroom's filthy. Bed's comfortable. Room also has a tv. Our room was located parallel to the street so we could hear the tricycles and people talking. We only stayed overnight and left really early so I can't really rate their service. The restaurant staff was nice enough to brew us coffee at 0400. Wifi's only available in the lobby and restaurant but don't even bother because it was really slow. We were warned the moment we checked in. Overall, we get what we paid for. It's not horrible but I wish they would renovate the bathrooms!
A good option in El Nido
A general nice stay. Hotel is well located in the center of the El Nido Town
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My room was comfortable but it was a bit rundown. The rooms can be remodeled.
We would stay again at the Ipil Suites
Great hotel, with good breakfast, close to many shops and restaurants in El Nido, Staff was helpful and informative. However, room was on the 1st floor, a little bit noisy during the day, but quiet at night.
Convenient
Just a short walk from the ferry dock and ample night life, the hotel is well located for those heading to Coron. The hotel and numerous other nearby establishments can help with tours and transport to Puerto Princesa. The main drawback we experienced was weak or nonexistent wifi signals between 6 am and midnight. A nearby karaoke bar could keep light sleepers awake until the wee hours.
Gorgeous hotel
The view from my room was spectacular: uninterrupted ocean view. The hotel location was secluded and quiet.
More pros than cons
With a couple of exceptions, the front desk staff seemed unpleasant; the rest of the hotel staff, however, were very hard-working and friendly. Smoking is only allowed outside. Very poor wifi in the lobby only. Beds were comfortable and clean. Family rooms are on the fourth floor with 2 queen-sized beds in the main room and a loft bed above. Really good breakfast that changed daily. Excellent boat and crew for the island hopping tour, which I highly recommend!
Good, convenient hotel
Good hotel in a convenient location by the beach - easily walking distance. Staff were very helpful and friendly helping us book transport or organise room requests. Buffet breakfasts included were a nice bonus and delicious (esp. if you like local food)
Nice hotel conveniently located
Nice hotel conveniently located on the heart of el nido. The staff were very helpful and the tour organised by them was excellent. The only negatives were that we're we staying on the fourth floor of the hotel-given that there was no lift, it meant that we had to carry our heavy luggage up and down. The bathroom whilst clean was a little worse for west with broken but repaired toilet seat. Also the wifi was very weak.
Disappointing experience
Our flight was cancelled due to the typhoon and we were unable to make it for the first day of our 2 day reservation. The cost of the hotel of exuberantly high for the quality of the hotel, which i would rate as a 1 star. The hotel refused to refund us for our 1 nights stay The bed sheets had holes and stains The bathroom tap and shower were disgusting and looked like they had not been cleaned There were ants in the room. We were on the first floor, and the smell from the kitchen and loud noise in the morning was unacceptable. Wifi access was shotty
convenient and reasonable
it is very good the staff are very helpful and accommodating, breakfast are very good too.
Good value of money. Staff are very friendly.
Restaurant on site serves great food. WIFI is disappointing.
Located in a crowded area.
Not the money's worth. And the location s not so conducive
Staff very friendly, accommodating and hospitable. They go above and beyond to make your experience in Palawan, Philippines a memorable one.
Hazardous to health!
We didn't stayed at Ipil Suites. It was a wasted time and money. When we are about to use the toilet, we noticed that the bar soap was wet, so we checked the other toiletries, they gave us used toiletries. It was gross! And the toilet window cannot be closed, so you can be seen at the hallway while taking a bath. Then we asked to be transferred to other rooms, when we checked the toilet, the whole ceiling was covered with black molds, which is not good for my son who has allergic rhinitis. So, better not stay at Ipil Suites, no money back when not satisfied and it is health hazard.
Bottom end hotel
Small room, first floor , right behind lobby desk. Room had ants and bathroom was dirty. Manager was nice and gave use one night refund supposedly but haven't received it yet.
EXCELLENT Staff
Staff was excellent, friendly, helpful. Hotel needs better TOWELS!
Excellent
Exceleent Customer Service, Great View , Near Beach
Great location for eco tourism
Generally good, but zero WiFi in most hotels in El Nido. Be prepared to live without internet. Great breakfast, and good tour arrangements by the hotel.
Reasonably close to the beach
There is a big gap between the wall and the door lock in the room that we stayed (room 405, which ironically had the best view in the hotel). I can literally pry my way inside. I told the staff about it but there were no follow-ups. I've read the same complaint in TripAdvisor months ago but the problem was never addressed.
Find a better place
Expensive versus service(product) The family room is very small.
Central location
Basic room in a great location, 2 minute walk to where the tours leave from. Clean room & helpful staff, eish we stayed longer.
everything was underwhelming, even with very low expectations
great place in El Nido
nice hotel in the middle of El Nido. the service of the hotel staff was acceptable but could use some improvements. room was always clean with fresh towels and bottles of water. the wifi is not great as its actually nowhere. the best connection I found was at Artcafe. Morning buffet was very basic and you better be early! the only thing that not worked out at all was the pick up from the airport as I waited 45 minutes till the driver showed up after i called.
A nice retreat
Breakfast is always a delight. They serve a variety of food with fresh fruits all the time. They really try to make it a well-balanced meal. For dinner, we bought fresh fish and clams from the market and asked the kitchen staff to cook them for a nominal fee. That was our best tasting dinner in El Nido.
Near beach friendly staff
Very accommodating and friendly staff Near beach Ok breakfast
Nice stay
We had a nice 3 day stay at this place. Beautiful and clean. The room was not that big but it was enough. My only was is that they only provide one pillow each so we requested for more but they will charge you 50 php for each pillow.
Nice hotel close to the beach
Lovely staff, good internet connection, great breakfast, very close to beach and main stretch in el Nido. Bed and linen clean and confortable. Affordable nice place to stay
A nightmare in paradise
Clean rooms with polit enough personnel and good breakfast with good central location and no WiFi at all. Their deluxe rooms were full so we booked a standard room which was the worst stay I have ever had in any hotel. Our so called "room" was located in the first floor with one "window" (better to say a hole) opening into the restaurant area and the other hole opening in the hall with no blank. The door to our room was thin and opening to the hall besides reception. We could hear all noises in the hall even the slightest whispers. The hole opening to the hall didn't have a blank and a lamp outside in front of it was shining into our eyes when we were desperately trying to sleep with the noise (we had to go out and turn it off 2-3 times during the night every night) . I assume their other rooms were better but stay away from the standards. Trust me You can have a better sleep by the street. Also when you check in and pay for the tours in advance get a receipt. They couldn't find the papers and money we paid in check in and were asking us for recipt... They didn't Re-charge us finally but I got the feeling that manager didn't believe us which was annoying considering it was only 40 euros.
Nice hotel close to the beach
Beds very comfortable and clean, breakfast buffet was lovely and all staff very polite and friendly. However bathroom cleanliness wasn't the best and walls very thin
Nice hotel and close to everything
Ipil suites is located just 2 street away from the main beach. A 5 minute walk will get you to the beach and basically everything is nearby the hotel.
Good hotel experience at a budget price
If you want a budget hotel experience in the middle of a tourist town, then Ipil Suites is for you. Very friendly staff accommodating your travel needs, varied breakfast items, and clean rooms are the hallmarks of this hotel.
Nice hotel
First night was terrible since we got room with no window and bad smell yet the next day we moved to another room and it was great.
Stay away at all cost!
The noise was unbearable both outside and within the hotel. The water pump runs all day and night and it was this loud annoying constant humming sound. We had to ask them to stop the pump at night time so we can sleep. The smell of the room was nauseating (very strong smell of moth balls). Wifi is nonexistent. Room is outdated. Breakfast is mediocre. Staff doesn't speak much English but they try their best to provide good service. One star for the service. Stay away at all cost if you want to enjoy your vacation in El Nido.
One of the nicest hotels in el nido
Really nice for what was available in town, close to restaurants and shops. Cleaned daily with fresh towels and toiletries also. Really nice breakfast which was included. Can also book really good day trips to the surrounding islands through the hotel. Defiantly recommend it for good value for money
Good hotel in El Nido center
Very good value for money. very helpful staff. The hotel own a boat for the tours, it's very good because the boat is not crowded and we can enjoy a lot the tour. Good conditions in hotel. wifi a bit slow
Extra for better room is worthwhile.
This was the second time we stayed at Ipiland the room although a little more expensive was a whole lot better. Much more spacious with mini bar and coffee making facilities. Location was good if you like to be able to walk everywhere...close to beach, but not on the beach, and near bars and restaurants. Their dining room was airless and so breakfast not a happy experience. Air con please.

Absolutely terrible terirble hotel. Beds weren’t cleaned, nothing worked in the hotel, the AC, TV, doors and windows all barely functioning. No fridge, no kettle and no blow dryer. The windows and doors aren’t sealed so you can hear everything outside all night as if the cars were driving pass you
