The property

Intercontinental is our favorite 5-star hotel chain and our stay in Lisbon was another fantastic experience in an Intercontinental hotel. Friendly staff, excellent location close to everything a tourist could ask for with great amenities! Strongly recommend it.

It is a very beautiful hotel where you feel very comfortable and the staff is very friendly and make you feel like it is your home. I have to commend Adriano who worked at the front desk and was ver friendly and helpful. He was very engaging and whenever he saw us he would come out from behind the desk to talk with us.The room was and upgrade, very roomy with a beautiful view. It looked forward to going to the bar before dinner very night. It was beautiful and the staff was impeccable. Next time I go to Lisboa, I will definitely stay there again. The hotel was also beautifully decorated for Christmas. It looked very festive.

We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. Wonderful experience altogether! The restaurant/ bar could have been better. Asked for water, it never came. Concierge information was somewhat misleading!

They had restaurants inside the hotel and everything was walking distance.

Their concierge staff is not professional and lacks local knowledge Except for the restaurant recommendation, they are not helpful, not professional, and even complaint about the hotel and the country I stayed at the intercontinental hotel world wide for decades including this hotel but this hotel has a terrible staff Lack of understanding of English is understandable but certain level should be available William chu

Hotel is at great location!

This hotel was 5 star all the way.

The property is a short walk from the metro. Lovely park nearby. Shopping centre close by for essentials. Hotel bar closed until 4pm which was a shame as we came back then fancied a cocktail. Bar in the park was a great alternative.

The food was not too good

Bathrooms are old. Towels are clean but run down. Room service didn’t answer late at night. One time, they answered, took the order, never showed up and stopped answering. Overall average stay. Housekeeping staff were good.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had a wheelchair lose a bolt and maintenance fixed it for us. Good experience.

All ok for business trip but for vacation no

We were very disappointed with the InterContinental Lisbon hotel. We booked two double rooms, one for me and my husband and another for a couple of friends. Each room was booked with a Queen-size bed. When we arrived, we were surprised to see that the rooms on separate floors, and in our room, there were two twin beds with a nightstand in between. When we went down to the reception and asked to change to a room with the bed we asked for, they claimed there were no available rooms and that our booking did not guarantee a queen as requested by us, and its only a request and they cant garenty the bed we booked for. Instead of trying to help or upgrade us to another room with a Queen bed as appear in our reservation, they insisted we wait until the evening, hoping that if someone who had booked did not show up, we might be able to get their room. When we insisted on getting another room, they called and said there was another room available, but when we arrived, we found they had simply joined two single beds, which turned out to be very uncomfortable due to the gap in the middle. This is not the level of service I would expect from a five-star hotel

Excellent staff, very friendly and accommodating. Room is refreshed daily. Location is close enough to the airport. The area feels safe, is right next to a park, and walkable to a lot of restaurants.

Perfectly situated near buses, metro, train. 2 minute walk from Marques de Pombal and Hop On Hop Off starting point. Will strongly recommend.

Great stay at an upscale five star hotel in Lisbon. Location was nice as it was next to the park however, if you’re running more action near the city center this is a little bit further out. But definitely walkable to the most active parts in the city.

We were there for a conference, and every detail was well done. From comfortable bedding to great meals and accommodating staff.

The property was beautiful and I loved the hotel and the location.

The hotel is clean, spacious, and staff were friendly. It's a bit further from maybe the main attractions of Lisbon by the water. We booked through Expedia where the reservation specified 2 separate beds. Again Expedia failed to communicate this on the booking to the hotel. The hotel accommodated the request but I need Expedia to clean it's website or fix the listings so I don't have to contact each hotel to confirm the bed set up.

The staff in the hotel were amazing. On a busy couple days they answered all our questions. The room was great. Just a few crumbs on table. But nothing to complain about.

Disappointing

Service was disappointing from what you would expect from the Intercontinental. Breakfast was especially poor, with items taking ages to be topped up where they ran out, lukewarm coffees being served and having to wait over 25 minutes for an omelette. Also do not stay at this hotel if you are a tourist wanting to be near the main attractions, restaurants & bars. This hotel is in the middle of nowhere!

Our hot water did not work. We were on our honeymoon and they gave us a room with two single beds

On average everything is good. Except it is a long walk to the center of everything. Walking to there is fine but when you return to the hotel it’s a bit tiring as you hv to go up slopes. For our age past 62 it’s a bit hassle

Wonderful property, great staff, especially David Silva!! Disappointed in the bar, not open until 1600??! Why?? Most people are on vacation and should be able to drink whatever they choose in the restaurant, other than beer or wine. With my breakfasts and lunches, I prefer Mimosas, Piñasas or Bellinis. With my lunches and antojitos, I prefer a margarita, espresso martini or martinis in general. Please, don’t limit your patrons. We work long, hard hours (90 hours a week) in the United States and when we can finally leave our business for respite in other countries, not affording us the beverage of our choice is a complete disservice and very disappointing.

Good location and fair price

Stayed for 5 nights at this property in March. Very centrally located, walking distance to downtown area. Park nearby. Excellent condition, staff were very helpful and friendly. Pedro, the manager at the restaurant onsite was one of the friendliest and helpful staff we have seen! He gave us suggestions for things to do, stories about Lisbon and surrounding areas, best pastries etc. The only reason for a 4 star for cleanliness is because we found some trash left on the room floors even after the cleaning crew had finished their rounds. Would surely recommend!

Very nice property, good location. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great views of the city. Room was surprisingly large. The pull out bed for our daughter had a normal mattress and was very comfortable. Service staff was great.

Old hotel need to renovate

Excellent hotel with excellent employees! Pedro and Margarida from the Akla restaurant was absolutely amazing to us, also Vanda the hostess from the breakfast Buffett. They were so friendly and caring. Hotel is very clean, food very good. We will definitely be back!

This is very fantastic hotel!

I strongly recommend this hotel for your stay in Lisboa. The location is nice , close to the city center but not in the middle of it. Walkable . And the best, the staff at concierge, reception, doors ... excellent.

The staff is friendly and personable. Also everyone is very helpful. Facilities are beautiful and very easy walking distance to downtown. Portugal is know for it hills, but the walk to downtown was not bad at all and that is from someone who is a senior who is not the most fit person in the world

The location was great as well as the service.

Bathrooms need some attention. There was some slight mold on the shower and floor tiles. The staff, breakfast and restaurant were all awesome. Room was serviced twice daily and multiple transportation choices available at the main entrance. Would definitely stay there whenever in Lisbon.

The property and service is great but the location is far from most attractions unless you are willing to walk a relatively long time or catch a cab every time you leave the hotel.
