Great location, closed to subway, shopping, and Olympic park.
The hotel is tasteful remodeled in 2021, spacious rooms, conveniently located closed to Olympic park. Sakura from the front desk is really helpful, makes our check in process a pleasant breeze, will definitely stay here again.
Nicely renovated
Nice Hotel. Great service.
Staff are amenable and polite. But never ceases to amaze how little English is spoken at a hotel of this type. Communication is a challenge at all levels. Although they will go out of their way to try and help you. The hotel itself is beautiful and well maintained, food is also very good.
Staff team was awesome especially at the breakfast restaurant! Hotel is beautiful, room is nice and specious. However l found hair and small stains on the bedsheet when I arrived, and a piece of sticky eyelids tape on the wall in the shower...
This was a really nice hotel, and is literally just across the street from the Olympic Park, which is fun to visit. Breakfast was great, the other restaurants were good as well, the staff were all nice. I found the bed to be a little harder than I would like (personal choice) and the AC unit struggled to keep the to cool. Even though I there in winter, I had to run the AC because the sun seemingly hit the windows all day long, and the room was an absolute inferno. That's the price you pay I guess for having such a great view though! I eventually got the AC set low enough that it was comfortable though, and I would stay here again if I needed to be on this end of town (it's about 45 minutes from the airport in normal traffic). For tourism, I'd probably stay closer to the center of town where the Forbidden City is.
Really like the location!!
Service was very good. Carpet needs refreshing
Great property but average in room air conditionin
The hotel is in great shape and staff very helpful. My only only complaint is regarding the inability to adjust the room temperature colder after October, so I was forced to sleep with my window open, which was a little noisy.
Good place for business trip
Overall a great stay - clean and spacious room, nice quiet area near stadium. Great service too
Everything was kept very clean. Staff couldn't do more to help guests in any way. An amazing stay.
Comfort stay in Beijing
Very smooth checked in process. Very clean room and very nice hospitality. I really recommed this hotel to stay.
Non smokers be aware
Non smokers be aware. We booked rooms for non smoking but was waking up by tobacco smokes every morning, every towel we used has strong tobacco odors very unpleasant.
Solid hotel
the hotel was great, good for a business trip. It was quiet and clean. The gym is a bit small, only 4 treadmills.
Over charged
A most disappointing stay. I booked 3 rooms. (2 x 3 days and 1 x 2 days) I had to make a change to the number of days for one room so the booking became 1 room for 3 days and 2 rooms for 2 days. The change was well within the time frame for there to be no charge for the change. Yet, when I checked out, because I had reduced the number of days of the booking from a total of 8 nights to a total of 7 nights, the daily room price for the remaining rooms INCREASED to the situation where I had to pay more for 7 nights than I was to pay for 8 nights. What a rip off. I will not be returning to this hotel.
5 star hotel close to the convention center
5 star hotel close to the convention center (there is a walkway from the hotel so you don't have to go outside.) Close to Olympic park, there is a Starbucks next door. Hotel staff speaks English. Excellent breakfast restaurant, offers both traditional Chinese breakfast dishes as well as western ones. Also, they have a cell phone that you can use while staying in the hotel that has data access and Google Maps!
Best Intercontinental in China!
Fabulous hotel & service next to China National Convention Center, across the road from Olympic Park. I try to stay here each time I visit Beijing.
The Chinese restaurant is pretty expensive
No AC!
Stayed 5 days and the hotel turned off the AC. Told me to open window and heard stop traffic all night long! Welcome to China.
Very close to the Convention center
If you are visiting Beijing for convention. This place is the best location to be. Hotel facility is excellent and quite clean. But nothing else is near there. The nearest convenient store is about 2km away. But I will come to this place again because of the location near convention center.
Pleasant stay
The room was big and comfortable with view to the water cube. Some lights in the closet were not working but it was a minimum detail. The personnel very kind and ready to help in any moment... I had a mistake with the security box and they solved it in less than 10 minutes. Excellent breakfast Buffet.
Very nice hotel
Very nice hotel, attached to the convention center. Breakfast is good, but could be improved
Good hotel for business and meetings at CNCC
mostly for business. Subway was a little hard to find, but once Ifound it, was conveneint for some personal travel at the end of the stay.
This hotel still charges for internet !! Why should anyone pay for internet connection when he can get it free in other hotels ? This is a booking stopper Beds were saggy TV set was not working properly in my room rooms were clean
Excellent!
Great stay, up to the expected standard
I stayed one week at this hotel, for business. The staff are very helpful, and friendly and the room was spacious, comfortable and up to the usual Intercontinental standard. Also good value for money. The breakfast is great with a wide selection (although it's quite expensive). My only reservation is that I found the endless security at the hotel very imposing, but this seems to be the norm all over the city. All in all, I would stay here again certainly.
Great location, excellent room and staff.
The hotel has great views of Olympic park, especially at night, and is near by a shopping mall in the park with restaurants. The Expedia rate was great, and including breakfast is a good deal when added to the room rate. Restaurants at the hotel are very nice, but very expensive. Breakfast was very good. Wifi connection was strong, but connections to US web sites is slow, and many are blocked by firewall in China. It worked well for email and news sites, not a lot else.
Facilities: Top of the line; Value: Affordable; Service: Outstanding; Cleanliness: Beautiful; If you are wanting a light meal, room service is the only place to dine.
Very convenient for exhibition
Overall a nice hotel. The duty manager, Claire, was nice enough to allow me a free late check out.
Attending GMIC
Great facilities, helpful stuff , the only problem is a lack of English communication.
2 Star Hotel with 5 Star Prices
HORRIBLE!!!! No one at this hotel could understand my request!! The air conditioning wasn't working in my room and it felt like it was 85 degrees the whole time! They were suppose to move me to a cooler room and that never happened! I will never stay at this establishment ever again!!
Unsatisfied Traveler
The hotel was nice as expected BUT the air conditioners in every room weren't working for the duration of my stay! The management wouldn't compensate us for the inconvenience but instead offered to move us to a cooler room (again without air conditioning!) Not happy with Intercontinental AT ALL!!
Beautiful Hotel
A very high quality hotel property as one would expect from Intercontinental. Very luxurious rooms, and excellent service.
Great business hotel
I am happy with the hotel, especially with its proximity to the China National Convention Center. Only 2 issues is that the hotel ambience light is a little too dark for me, especially in the corridors and the room. And the dining options, for example the coffee and tea offered in the lounge/cafe were either cold or tasteless and restaurant menu items are quite wanting.
Misleading area advertised by Expedia.
The hotel was ok, but definitely not in the Chaoyang district like it said it was. I booked the hotel using the "unpublished hotel" feature, where all you have to go on is where the hotel is located, and it's star rating. The hotel was well outside of Choayang district, which is a densely populated fun night-life area. The intercontinental, Beichen is located in the (wait for it) Beichen district. Which is near the convention center and the olympic park. Very little is within walking distance. So, this isn't a fault of the hotel, if you're looking for a place close to the convention center then this is the hotel to go with. Much better than the Grand Convention Center Hotel immediately next door, which I also stayed at while I attended the convention.
Great hotel
New hotel for the Olympics. Can't go wrong for business.
Very new and stylish facility
The hotel is very amenable and beautifully done, and its restaurants are great. It's located next to the Olympic village, which is interesting but as far as I could tell, the only reason for being out that way. The area is not a thoroughfare.
Excellent hotel in great area
The hotel was excellent in every way. Well appointed and in easy walking distance to extensive shopping in the underground mall located within the Beijing Olympic Park.
Great Hotel
Attached to the Beijing Convention center, this is a superb business hotel. Modern: The flat room key allows identification of both secure access on the elevator plus your floor without pushing any buttons. The breakfast buffet is among the best anywhere. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.
Nice Stay at InterContinental
Had a nice stay at IntterContinetal Beijing Beichen during my visit in Beijing. The hotel is modern and the room is clean. The staffs are very friendly and were able to help me whenever I asked for. It has nice swimming pool and gym, the gym is kind of small but it has everything that I needed. There is shopping mall and subway (line 8) nearby (5 minutes walk). Overall I am happy with my staying in the hotel and will certainly come back next time when I visit Beijing.
Awesome
Very well kept, organized, and always great, fast, friendly service.
Completely comfortable hotel for business travel
Goods action if you are visiting businesses out near Olympic park. Hotel staff helpful, everything you would expect from an intercontinental.
Good stay
it is comfortable and clean. I like its space and services
Great hotel for bussiness and family
Easy check in, clean and high quality rooms. Very helpfull staff but speak little English . High quality food in the hotel resutarnts.
Wonderful hotel. Not best location
Loved the hotel. Close to Olympic area is not the best location in Beijing
Nice Hotel Near The Convention Center
Nice hotel but in the middle of nowhere. Only appropriate id attending the nearby Convention Center. If not, do not go to this hotel. This hotel is nowhere near the center! After a day at the Convention, I could forget about some leisure time in downtown Beijing. However, if being close to the Convention Center is a priority and are not interested in too much leisure time, this hotel may be for you. The only problem with this hotel is that the heating system is set on automatic (even though there is a control box but it's only for "show"...no amount of tweaking adjusts the temp to your liking).
Fine for business travel
The hotel staff were very helpful. Room did show some signs of wear on walls, furniture and floors. While close to the subway, it is quite a distance to most tourist destinations other than the Olympic Green.
the location is close to Olympic
the location is close to Olympic Park, clean and modern, the service is good. Just the internet access not as expected, ¥250 a day and no wireless access on top of not cheap hotel price, where most of other hotels in Beijing provide free internet service.
Clean
