The property’s location was fantastic! The street was quiet, making it easy to get in and out of Uber rides without any hassle. However, we did not receive our complimentary wine at check-in. While we understand that early check-in is subject to availability, no alternative accommodations were offered, which was disappointing. The on-site restaurant, The Wilson, was a major letdown. The food was bland, the service was subpar, and the cleanliness was lacking—two sets of utensils and my coffee cup had stains. While it is a third-party restaurant, it also handles room service for the hotel. When we raised our concerns with the front desk, they simply suggested ordering outside food, which hotel staff could bring up. We ordered outside food three times, and each time, it took over 20 minutes for delivery. On two occasions, the food arrived cold and inedible. If you’re looking for a luxurious experience, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. However, if you’re on a short trip and don’t plan to spend much time at the property, it may be a suitable option.

Great property that provided a quiet retreat for our family after busy days exploring the city. Very friendly staff.

Highly Recommend

We rented the family sweet for a long weekend. The hotel was in beautiful condition with a restaurant on property and luxury accommodations for a reasonable price. It was also centrally located for exploring all of the framed sites in the city.

Don’t pay for the view, it’s a scam. I paid extra to have a “view” of manhattan and instead I got a view of the building next door. The front desk said that is the correct room and that’s the floor the “view” starts on. Waste of money.

Staff was very nice and helpful. Quick when we requested for items in our room.

I was unable to check in online and there was a huge line. I like the option to remote check in and out. My first night I wasn’t offered the complimentary bottle of wine, but when I came back for my next stay a few days later, this was offered. Customer service was great and I would return if staying in midtown for the convenience and price. The decor and cleanliness were also a huge incentive, as was having a restaurant attached to the lobby.

Had an issue where the hotel kept charging my card random fees every night at 1am and 3am but the hotel staff helped figure out a solution. One of the fees said smoking fee and it was detected within 5 minutes of us checking into the room and neither one of us smoked (we did spray perfume In the bathroom within the first 5 mins) so that was really odd. Still a nice hotel, clean and super friendly staff, located in a great area that’s walking distance from everything. I would stay here again.

On top of whatever the cost you book they charge a $45USD ‘facility fee’ per day.

Overall I enjoyed my stay. I was given the option to stay on a high floor which really cut down any outside city noise. The staff were also friendly and knowledgeable. The only downside would be that it is located in midtown Manhattan which itself is not the cleanest area.

Cool Modern Chelsea Hotel

Came for a quick trip for my sons 18th birthday. Amazing stay in a very convenient location with respect to the places I wanted to see in NYC. Staff was friendly and courteous. The fitness center was nice and had a great skyline view. Hotel restaurant had great food and drinks. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed our experience here. Close to everything ,and train rides.

I usually stay in Chelsea because all the subway lines are nearby and the INNside Melia has been one of my go-tos. Nice size room, quiet, and clean. Friendly staff.

Great hotel. Spotlessly clean, great location. Extremely friendly helpful staff. Only criticism is the rooms are small, similar to a cruise ship size. I definitely would return one of the better hotels I’ve stayed at in NY by a mile.

Hotel was lovely and modern. Walking distance to all the attractions. Only problem was it was very noisy from the building opposite which was having work done. Every morning from 630am,including Sunday! Hotel breakfast was great with table service and a good choice selection.

I left my hat and they’ve reached out to confirm they have it and will mail back to me. I’d definitely stay here again.

Good location with great staff. The hotel is ok, but needs to work on the bar and restaurant which should be more cozy and welcoming, somewhere you can relax, have a drink, some appetizers. An area where people can work and have a coffee.

Good location, very clean and comfortable rooms. However in the morning we realized the hairdryer was broken. We tried to call the front desk but no one answered. So we walked down to ask and were told they would deliver one when they could. After 30 minutes no dryer and we also missed our brunch reservation. We then walked down to the front desk again and they told us they were working on it Not exactly apologetic. The front desk gets backed up so beware if you have any time sensitive reservations. I would say customer service is excellent until you have a problem.

Fantastic hotel. Really good location. 10 mins walk to Macy’s. 2 mins walk to nearest subway. 20 mins walk to Times Square. Literally end of the road ( 30 seconds to end of road, turn right and keep walking till you hit Times Square ) Great staff, great interconnecting room, gutted we didn’t pay the extra for the city view as it looks incredible at night from the Gym, which is the same view. Overall fantastic and would recommend.

Great service and staff. Nice size room and comfy beds. Convenient to everything we wanted to see/do. Great lpcation for dining and relatively quiet given we are in Manhattan.

Extremely crowded lobby amd elevators. A broken digital door lock on my door took almost a half hour to fix. NOT a boutique luxury hotel.

Great property with a modern vibe, great for a week spent celebrating my daughter's 18th bday. Staff was accommodating, room was great, clean smelled nice. Overall great experience!

The location was great for access to multiple locations and very walkable. The service was GREAT. The only thing that did surprise me was no microwave in the rooms and no communal area where a microwave was available. I had a 16 year old with me and threw away a ton of food just because we couldn't heat it up.

Great stay, provided a comfortable travel size crib for our infant. Only issue was televisions did not work one night due to service issue with the hotels cable provider.

Great holiday destination great location. Lots of dinning opportunities nearby and felt safe. Only issue we had was with the TV and it was a bit annoying it took three days to sort out. That said the staff were lovely, professional and very helpful.

Felt a bit unsafe walking around the hotel especially at night. Other than that, it was a lovely stay! Most of the hotel staff were kind and accomodating! Would come back :)

I requested early check in, even submitted to their hotel portal for the request. Which was not available at 11am when I arrived. The staff went ahead and checked me in and took payment and told me they will put me on a priority list to have my room ready as soon as possible. I said I was having issue with the hotel app and to please call me when the room was ready. They said they would call me as soon as the room was ready and confirmed my phone number. They never called. I got tired of waiting and went back to the hotel after 4pm and my room was ready. The bathroom vent/fan runs 24 hours. There is no switch it just runs. It's not tied to the AC nor is it motion sensitive it just runs nonstop. I went down to the front desk the next day and mentioned this to the staff. They said they will have someone look at. I then asked the staff about the amenities that was listed in my welcome email. They said it was a bottle of wine and if I wanted it they can send it up. Apparently that was all the amenities in addition to the gym and restaurant on site. Shouldn't you be told about your amenities at check in vs waiting for an email? Maintenace was to check on the vent, but when I returned to my room that evening. The vent was still running when I asked the front desk if someone looked at it. They didn't know as the morning maintenance staff had already left and the evening staff wasn't aware. There was no update in the computer and it was never fixed. Should not be a VIP property

If you want to be in the middle of Manhattan this could you your option. The room was really spacious, clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Working the shower was really confusing and that’s one of the things that annoys me most about hotels that try to be too fancy or clever. Also, the bed had only a comforter/duvet and did not have a sheet. Everything else was fine, and the staff was great.

I really like how all the coffee, water, and juice in the room was included in the price. The rooms are very spacious for Manhattan. The bathroom is very large and the shower is really amazing, even on the 19th floor the heat and water pressure is great - this can be a problem in Manhattan hotels! What I think could improve would be: Instructions on how to use the in-room coffee maker. It's a very special kind and it would help to have some step-by-step guidance there. I also think the bar/restaurant in the lobby (the Wilson) should be open later.
