No complaints, excellent staffing and accommodations A
Excellent Inn in Charleston's historic district!
It is an excellent location for all of Charleston's historic district attractions. Clean rooms and delicious breakfast. Great amenities, will certainly return.
A tired property. Breakfast was adequate (instant oatmeal was the high point). We stay in town when going to concerts and have been trying different hotels. Won't return to Indigo...
I had a room the was facing the courtyard. I head the water feature/ waterfall all night long. Did realize I could obscure my windows, I just saw the wooden blinds, too much light from yhe hallway in my room. But super friendly staff.
Location is convenient for shopping and sightseeing. Our room was on the first floor so we heard a lot of noise from the courtyard and traffic. Bathroom is pretty small, too. The hotel did provide breakfast and afternoon snacks that included beer and wine which was nice. Front desk staff were friendly. Overall, not a bad stay but think we’ll try someplace else on our next visit.
Charming historic district Hotel.
The Indigo Inn in Charleston South Carolina was an absolute Charming stay. We loved the iron gated Courtyard. We loved there was snacks breakfast and cookies available all throughout the day at different times. We love that it was quiet and Charming. It was right in the center of town just a few blocks from the marketplace King Street and meeting place Street. It was close to many of the attractions offered in the city a 15 minute walk to the aquarium ferry terminal 5 minute walk to the City Market. Also very close to the College of Charleston which gave the city a young College vibe, nestled in an old southern historic City with many different things to do. Walking distance to many of the upscale restaurants and entertainment venues. I look forward to bringing my family back to see the city spend more time there.
We loved our stay!
We had one night in Charleston and this was a great place to stay. The adjacent parking lot was a perk ($25.00/day). The front desk service was very friendly. We would stay here again?
Very nice stay. Clean, beautiful and great breakfast and snacks. Very convenient location to explore historic downtown.
Great vibe and great employees! Definitely recommend.
Breakfast and snacks were great. Court yard was nice.Staff was very friendly. Very convient location.
Beauty and Convenience
Fabulous Hotel in the middle of anywhere you want to be in Charleston, SC. Beautiful and cozy environment, Staff super friendly, parking right in the facility. A small lobby that reminds you being at home, sipping some wine and good cheese . A really nice place to stay.
Loved the breakfast and happy hours!
Absolutely would stay again
There was a $25 additional fee to use the hotel parking lot for one night, but that was the only part of the indigo inn experience that we didn't love. The inn is uniquely beautiful with an open air courtyard and fountain inside. They offered complimentary wine (or craft beer) and cheese during select hours and we loved this perk. Later on, they offered complimentary milk and cookies for dessert. In the morning they provided a tasty breakfast too. The room was clean and comfortable and suitable for a home away from home. The location is great in charleston, very walkable and easy to explore the interesting surrounding area. We want to come back to this inn in the future
Very old. Toilet needed fixing. Bed was great but room just needs updating.
Conveniently located to museums, dining and shopping!!!
The hotel is just top notch. Great location just a block from the market- walking distance to so much. Complimentary breakfast, happy hour and milk and cookies! Comfortable and service was perfect. Would definitely stay here again.
All Kudos for the Indigo Inn
I was truly surprised at the level of excellence that Indigo Inn offered. The atmosphere was charming, the rooms were high quality and so clean, the staff was very gregarious, and the wine/cheese board from 5-6:30 every day was outstanding.
nice parking!!!
Enjoyed a very pleasant stay there. Loved the courtyard!
Beautiful property, excellent staff. Room very small but so cozy. Comfy bed, clean. Area was great for walking, dining, shoppung.
Excellent service. Will return!
Location is really good and staff was friendly and responsive. Property has seen better days and the room was lived down. The bathroom is tiny and crammed. We had to change rooms bc there were little bugs in the first. The second room had leftover take-out in the fridge - yuk!
Lovely and aft cheese wine morning bkfat just great
Very well located. Easy parking (although the fee separate from room is annoying). Well run. Nice place
Everything was very nice, and the hotel is in an excellent location. However, the wireless internet was so slow as to be unusable. Parking is not free; it costs $25 per day.
Charming with great location. Walking steps in every direction to many of Charleston highlights. Enjoyed the courtyard even during winter weather. Doesn't have a restaurant...Doesn't need one with all the eateries right outside the door. However was impressed with breakfast and snacks available throughout the day, especially wine and cheese prior to dinner hour. Second time staying here, will return again.
Perfect Charleston Inn
Excellent customer service . Beautiful hotel with wine/beer cheese happy hour and breakfast. Always snacks in lobby . Perfect location to historic downtown. We walked everywhere . Found this Inn five years ago and go back twice a year since then .
Most everything was wonderful. One of the beds creaked loudly when you rolled over in bed. The WiFi worked but had no internet connection for the 2 days we were there. Bathroom was cleans functional but the shower/toilet room was tiny. But location was convenient and we loved the courtyard, friendly service as well as continental breakfast, wine and cheese at 5:00 PM and milk and cookies at 8:00 PM. Parking was easy and owned by the inn and right next to the Inn, so short walk. Would definitely stay there again
Room was very nice. Commode area was too small. Very tight. Courtyard was lovely. Cocktail hour/ cookies/and breakfast offerings were a welcome treat. Free parking was a bonus. Robert and daytime clerk were a delight. Would recommend this property. Well located in town and very walkable area.
Wonderful staff and breakfast, cheese & wine, beverages, and cookies are definitely a plus on your stay! Highly recommended!
Beautiful Inn with really helpful staff
Great place to stay! Close to everything.
Fantastic hotel in the best location if you want to walk around and see Charleston. The staff were great and the hotel was lovely.
Great

Just what we needed
Lovely, but noisy
Lovely inn, my only complaint is that our room was across from the ice maker, water bottle station and a soda machine. It was noisy.
Convenient parking lot with in and out privileges. Great food options for breakfast and nightly snacks. Staff very friendly and helpful. Fabulous location close to great restaurants and historic areas. Comfortable bed and nice shower. Looking forward to staying there again.
Beautiful property in a great location! Absolutely would stay here again.
Comfortable rooms, polite and helpful staff and unusual and relaxing courtyard
Loved our stay!!
Charming hotel!! Very Friendly staff and great location. My family and I will definitely come back.
Nice Hotel, great if you want to walk around downtown Charleston. Offer onsight parking for a $25.00 a day charge.
Nice stay. Staff very friendly Great location. Hotel is clean. Amenities were appreciated.
Check in was hectic with a lot of people at once. My front desk professional was awesome and composed. Did a great job relaying pertinent hotel information, yet did it all expeditiously.
Great location, simple breakfast, helpful staff.
Like the location with ample parking. The cocktail hour was unexpected but impressive. Will book again.
Charming hotel and ambience
Amazing old hotel in downtown Charleston. Beautiful courtyard. Wonderful desk clerks.
Love the Indigo Inn - great evening reception and cozy environment
I was in a first floor room next to the street, so there was some road noise. Overall, a good spot.
Love everything about this hotel! The staff was super friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to come visit again soon!
Nice!
Great location to historic downtiwn
Wonderful service and great location
Wonderful people and great location. Beautiful rooms, easy parking and walking access to food and shopping.
like
Location was great, interior courtyard was lovely. Staff was friendly and attentive
Beautiful and great staff
Great location, walkable to everything in town. It had a little of an outdated feel to it. Staff was wonderful and helpful.
Hidden Gem
Stay here every time I’m in Charleston cause it can’t be beat. Everything you want. Comfortable, staff is over the top great, wine/cheese afternoons, cookies and mild nights with great breakfasts in the AM. Beds are comfortable! Location is the best for visiting Charleston. Stable staff who stay employed for years there because they’re treated well so the treat you well. Can’t say enough about the place
The first room they gave me was right next to 2 rooms that were being renovated. People hammering the common wall and cutting with saws just outside the door. Asked for another room. There was no hot water to take a shower. Let the front desk know and they said that the next morning somebody will look at it. The next morning somebody was supposed to come by 9, but they weren’t there. Couldn’t wait no more and took cold shower. Felt like they collected their nightly rate, but did not deliver on the promise of a pleasant stay. They took off the $25 parking fee, as it would make up for it. Guys, if you can’t provide hot water to a guest at night or in the morning for their stay, you should compensate that inability appropriately. Not staying with you again.
The parking was very easy which is a plus considering Charleston. The bed was nice and slept well. The breakfast and cookies were also very nice. It would have been nice to have more water available. The staff was excellent. The bathroom could have been in better shape. There was a pill right in the middle of the floor, so it probably was not cleaned before we arrived. With that said, the room itself was spotless. For the price subpar but not bad it was a quaint little inn. Again for the price I just expected a little more but I would stay again.
What a hidden gem ! Centrally located in town surrounded by restaurants and the waterfront . The staff were all so welcoming , especially Ethan . The Inn provides snacks out throughout the day with a delightful continental breakfast . Their courtyard is a plus as it offers a quiet place to sit back and relax . The facility and rooms were kept with such cleanliness ! I will definitely to this most comfortable delightful Inn
Staff was outstanding. Breakfast and food offerings were meager and underwhelming, particularly given the rent charged.
It was very nice and in walking distance to the Market area.
Location!
Loved this location. The only issue was our room was right next to housekeeping so it was very loud.
Beautiful ambiance
Great ambiance, location and stay. You're pretty much a block away from King Street. Also love the little perks when staying there. Will stay again
It should be clearer that rooms at this hotel that are not marked either “Atrium” or “Exterior” view will only have a window that opens onto a corridor.
The property is in a perfect location to walk everywhere. They have a wonderful breakfast, wine/ beer free with cheese and crackers, fruitwingsetc, then in the early evening cookies staff was wonderful
Good experience overall. Basic Continental breakfast.
Excellent location, friendly staff, and generous continental breakfast, cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres and evening sweets. Lovely patio to hang out or have your treats. The place is walking distance to all downtown attraction. While they charge for parking, price is competitive to the surrounding options if you will park all day. Also, it's easy and safe to park on the street very close to the hotel and it's free after 6pm. Will definitely return if we are in Charleston again.
Great location and value. Room was basic but clean. The staff was very friendly and the afternoon wine reception and continental breakfast were nicer than expected.
We were treated very well, and enjoyed our five-day stay at this boutique hotel. Between the generous breakfast,
Charleston Charm
We enjoyed our stay. A beautiful courtyard and great location. We were on the first floor which I enjoyed. They offer free breakfast and a wine happy hour but there is no restaurant or bar on sight. It is an older hotel but it was quaint and a great staff
Great location and lovely staff
We enjoyed our stay here and liked having our car close by in the Inn’s parking lot, although had to pay per day.
Very quaint and quiet
Wonderful location. Very quiet. Nice afternoon wine and cheese.
The staff was incredible and made our stay easy and enjoyable.
Bed was squeaky and unstable. Room had gnats or mosquitoes
We enjoyed our stay at the Indigo Inn. We were able to walk everywhere and enjoyed the happy hour each night. The room was clean and it was quiet up on the third floor.
Location, staff, parking, amenities excellent. However the hotel has retro fitted aircon which is really noisy and keeps you awake. All the rooms centre around a courtyard and they all have their aircon blowing into the space which means it’s like trying to sleep on a 757. Honestly a great hotel u til you want to sleep.
It was a very quaint place. Very nice. We loved it and would go back!
Had a lovely 5 night stay at Indigo Inn! Perfectly located to everything and anything you might want to do in the downtown area. We walked to our schooner cruise, horse carriage ride, haunted cemetery tour, across the peninsula through amazing neighborhoods, and to fabulous restaurants. Parking is so easy and I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived by the happy hour that they have every day in addition to a lovely breakfast and milk & cookies every night. Worth the extra money for the location and all of the additional things provided. Also, the best Arnold Palmer I’ve ever had is served daily! The air conditioning in the rooms works great and was always a perfect escape from the heat and humidity. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
Indigo is Unique
I would've given this place 5 stars on everything. Really nice gentleman at the check in and the hotel has a unique vibe to it. In walking distance to all the cool attractions and restaurants. The only reason i didn't give it 5 stars is because the toilet wouldn't flush too many times. Thats the only negative of my stay
Great Stay!
Friendly staff, charming place with a beautiful courtyard. Lots of complimentary snacks and wine. Very helpful information desk. Great location. Would definitely stay here again.
..
Staff were so helpful. Very comfortable. Ideal location.
Location, Location, Location. Courtyard was also nice for visiting.
Friendly and helpful staff. Small bathroom.
The breakfast, wine and cheese, and cookie is an added treat each day! Staff is so friendly and helpful! Very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed our stay!
The garden area was great for breakfast and in the evening for relaxing. Great location for walking around the historic area as well as for great food!
The team at Indigo Inn went above and beyond! So comfortable and homely. Would definitely stay again
Reception is small and also where a very basic breakfast snack is served (self service) and eaten… very unusual. The room was lovely and big with a very comfortable four poster bed. I would stay again but do t expect a heart breakfast.
Absolutely amazing! Only did 4 stars on property because it is older and could be updated but that does not take anything away from the overall experience. Walked everywhere, wine and cheese in the afternoons was wonderful. Staff went above and beyond. Just stay here! You won’t regret it
What a generous hotel!!! Thank you for the snacks and breakfast. We truly appreciated all you offered and liked the location between the battery and college of Charleston area.
Great location
Amazing location and the small courtyard is excellent.
Great location
Perfectly located central to so many things to see and do. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful.
Location to everything.
The shower was not consistent with hot water and air conditioner did not blow cold air even though we tried to turn down the temp.
Hotel location is convenient, within walking distance to a number of restaurants, carriage tours etc. Our room was small and pretty average in terms of how clean it was (especially bathroom floor). The worst part of it, it was located right in front of an ice maker that made thunderous noise all night long. Not sure who thought that was a good place for it. The guy that worked the check-in when we came was downright rude, unprofessional and unapologetic when called out on it. Stay elsewhere.
Old style Charleston inn.
We were late getting in and checking in was very efficient and the gentleman was very nice that checked us in-very helpful We are used to staying at some of the larger hotels but this has a nice homey feeling and will book again. Parking was easy too
There were some things I really liked about the Indigo Inn & some things I wasn’t thrilled about. It’s super convenient & walkable. The parking is easy & was average price. Appreciated the evening service & breakfast, although the options for both were not great. Also, compared to other places we have stayed in the same area, it was more of a self serve, small area by the check-in counter and not many places to sit. There is an outside atrium that would be nice in warm but it was cold when we were there. The room was a bit dated with all hard flooring, which felt cold. A small, noisy wall into for the heating. But overall l, it wasn’t too bad for the price and was definitely convenient.
