This trip to Italy was specially for my sister who has been fighting cancer for the past 6 years. When we arrived at this beautiful hotel with amazing views, brought tears to her eyes as this was her dream come true. She was living what she had seen in so many movies. The hospitality of Alessandro was the extra touch. As he made us feel at home. Our new home for 3 days in this breathtaking hotel in the country side was all we had dreamed off. The staff was also amazing and the breakfast was a plus, plus. We stayed at one of the suites and it was very spacious and very comfortable. Plenty of parking space if you a car. We tryuly loved everything here. Thank you for an amazing experience.
If you are looking for the Tuscan experience, this is the place! Super cute villas with a castle behind you and vineyard in front. Also 5 star restaurant on property. And easier to get to local train to get into Florence.
Amazing stay
The manager was amazing. He was warm friendly and helpful. This was the highlight of my tour of Italy. I would highly recommend staying here. I intend to visit again in 2026.
Immacutely presented property with very friendly and helpful hosts. Beautiful pool, great bikes to borrow, stunning grounds and the most amazing breakfast ever! The epitome of a Tuscan experience. We will definitely come back and use this as our base to explore Tuscany further. Our favourite hotel on our entire trip.
Super helpful staff and delicious breakfast! Stayed here and took the train in to Florence. Kids enjoyed the pool!
All perfect
Amazing stay
An amazing relaxing stay at this hotel. Grounds and swimming pool areas were just beautiful. A lovely and quiet stay , perfect for some relaxing time. Breakfast was 10/10 with very friendly staff from reception, breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. Couldn’t ask for more.

An amazing relaxing stay at this hotel. Grounds and swimming pool areas were just beautiful. A lovely and quiet stay , perfect for some me time. Breakfast was 10/10 with very friendly staff from reception, breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. Couldn’t ask for more.
Amazing hotel in the country so it is a bit away from the city but well worth staying there. Property presents like a 4 star hotel. Our room was fantastic. Francesca and Alessandro were amazing hosts. Thanks guys...Ciao
Great location and friendly staff and delicious breakfast choices everyday
Tuscany 2024
Fab property, lovely staff. Very clean with a brill restraunt
Beautiful large and clean room with comfortable beds. The grounds and the pool area are very good- large and well maintained pool with lots of shade spaces. Nature is amazing and people can walk around to get exercise. The breakfast is first class. The staff are pleasant and professional. The only cons are that buildings are run down (exterior) and no hair conditioner or body lotion. The bar and restaurant were closed unfortunately, so no dining options within walking distance.
Good breakfast, excelent staff Alessandro & Simona, beatiful view.
A beautiful hotel with magnificent views. Very clean and staff was super friendly. Quiet, safe amd the trails were definitely a plus. Free breakfast included and it had many varieties to choose from. Close to vineyards.
The breakfast, staff, accomodations and location was amazing. Definitively recommends this hotel in Signa, close to Florence without the multitude.
Short but a memorable stay. The room we stayed at was very unique, well organized with beds, living room and a kitchen all in the same room. Breakfast was the highlight of the stay. A lot of quality options with great service.
We loved staying at this hotel. A real Tuscan experience. The rooms are spacious. Staff was very helpful and breakfast delicious with many choices. We would stay there again.
We are American visitors and stayed in this wonderful villa for two nights. The property is very beautiful and the receptionists are special kind and helpful. We like to come back and stay more days.
Hated it.
Awful. We didn’t stay. Checked in and after seeing the reception area and the rooms we checked straight out again.
Excellent customer service and breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Rooms are huge with AC. Signa train station is 5 min drive and there is a large public parking near by. We parked there twice and no issues. Signa is really small station and has train to SM Florence(Firenze) every 30-45 mins..Receptionist will give you train schedule as well.
Excellent service, beautiful grounds, delicious breakfast and top notch service from everyone here! Been in Italy for three weeks with great stays but the service at this stay is superb!
Excellent
Alessandro is the best host. Treated us like family. Only wish we stayed more time there. Beautiful.
Very isolated area, not happy
I have given a month to leave a review due I have mix feelings. This place was listed with a picture of a big building however when we arrived: the only space where the rooms are is a small house that was aconditioned, if you like rural houses and old, you will feel comfy however I am a city person and this is way too small, also I was not comfortable with the location, is in the middle of nowhere the nearest mc donalds seems to be 3-7 miles away thru very odd roads, to get there was a big hassle, and there is no security after 8pm so you feel very isolated
Very disappointing location
Breakfast is not all in an entire stay, people also looks for safe roads to park, security, and shops that are nearby. This is in the country side which is nice but is extremely far from anything, very dark place after hours, I paid almost $500 for staying 2 nights and felt it was a nightmare. I could hear neighbors and the place was almost empty
Wonderful
Wonderful hotel. Outstanding service. Warm & friendly staff who were always eager to help
We stayed there fir 4 nights, staff is very friendly and helpful, the room was large for a party of four. Wxcellwnt servicd and breakfast. Nice pool and restuarant. Even the AC worked properly which is rare in europe.
We had the most relaxing holiday - the room, pool, gardens were all excellent. The breakfast and staff were amazing - they couldn't do enough for you and always friendly. Everything was wonderfully clean and well looked after. What a setting - wonderful! Peaceful ambience. If there was a restaurant on site too that would have been a bonus-we went out most nights for dinner but the hotel recommended some great local places so that was good.
Martina greeted us. She was wonderful. Had a great dinner at Pizzeria La Tinaia in San Phillip about a kilometer away. Highly recommend. Great Tuscan property.
Great stay.
Amazing stay! Nice estate, beautiful rooms. Perfect getaway in Tuscany.
Charming, beautiful place to stay in the countryside near Florence. This has been my 5th visit here and the staff are beyond excellent making sure that all our needs were taken care of.
Great stay
Really great breakfast. Big big room. Super clean, amazingly friendly helpful staff. Good pool.
Four night stay while on our honey moon- Canada
We stayed here 4 nights while on our honeymoon. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the manager, Alsandro, who was wonderful at making us feel at home, he has a very good sense of humour. He even gave us a free upgrade. The room was very clean and roomy with all the amenities. The buffete breakfast was fantastic with enough selection and variety of foods. The two ladies at beakfast were top notch, always going out of their ways to make sure everything was right and they were always cheerful. They even packed us a breakfast to go on our last day as we had to leave early to catch our train. The other two ladies at the front desk were fantastic, helping us with directions, dinner options and sight seeing recommendations. The dinner at the hotel was terrible and was over priced, stick to the local restaurants the front desk staff recommends, food there is reasonable and delicious. Only downside to this place is that you need a car, as nothing is within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again. Only 20 minutes train ride to Florence from Signa train station.
Quaint hotel in liovely area
Really enjoyed our 8 day stay here. Travel to Lucca and Pisa about an hour by car and Florence 20 minutes. A car is a must as the hotel is quite isolated. Our room was spacious and comfortable if some what old fashioned . Breakfast was included and it was more than adequate. Only two complaints, AC was very very noisy so I would suggest a good pair of ear plugs for sleeping and wifi was hit and miss .
Nearly perfect.....
We had been travelling around Italy, and this hotel was to recuperate for 2 nights before we set off again. Perfect relaxation. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My only issue was if you didn't eat at their restaurant, the choice round and about was limited.
Embrace tuscany
If you rent a car in Florence and just want to get out if the city, this wonderful hotel is only 30 minutes away but feels like you are embracing Tuscany. The rooms and grounds are beautiful. I had one of my best Italian meals in the restaurant for a modest price. The staff is the very best, speak English and incredibly helpful all with grand warmth and heart.
Very friendly reception at the hotel. Received a room upgrade. Beautiful hotel and location. Great fir day trips to Florence, Pisa, Sienna, etc. Will be back with the family.
The bookin was quick and easy, all reception staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and the room facilities were also. The location was just right for us and easy to access the llocal sites. Would definately recommend.
Friendly staff, nice room, excellent breakfast.
Spacious, clean and comfortable room. Enjoyed our meals at the on-site restaurant. Very friendly and caring staff.
Central location for Florence, Pisa & Luca
Our stay at the villa was excellent. Initially we were upgraded to a family room as we stayed for 5 nights. However, it is on 2 levels with the main bedroom on the top level and the bathroom on the lower level. This was not suitable for us so we asked if we could be reverted back to the room we initially booked which was the double comfort room and that was not a problem at all. Breakfast was delicious and the staff cannot do enough for you. There is a restaurant independently run at the villa where we enjoyed dinner one nigh more for convenience than anything else. The best of all was a ristorante/pizzeria in Signa recommended by the staff that had fabulous wood fired pizza, spaghetti and unbelievable T-bone steak to die for - and the price was so good and so cheap for what you receive but you have to drive to Signa, too far too walk. We went twice! The only down side of the villa itself was the traffic noise mainly in the morning. You had to close the windows and the aircon was far too loud to use, incredibly noisy. Being a few kilometres out of town you really need a car to go out for dinner. They do offer a shuttle to the train station for a small fee.
a nice place to stay near Florence
A very convenient place place to stay in Tuscany. Short drive to many Tuscan towns and villages. Florence is 20 min by train (2 euros per ticket, parking at the local railway station is free).
Definitely worth a stay
Fabulous hotel with great staff. They can't do enough for you.
In the heart of Tuscany
Great location if you travelling by car. The hotel gives you a real Tuscan feel and the ladies serving breakfast were wonderful. Alessandro greeted us and made our arrival very enjoyable. He is an asset to the hotel with his charming character and sense of humour. The restaurant at the Villa is a short walk away and the meals were fantastico.
Don't Miss This Place!
We had a great stay here! The staff could not have been more helpful or accommodating! I have never had hotel staff treat us so well! From recommendations to ordering pizza for us, they went all out! Can't wait to go back!
Excellent peaceful base for seeing Tuscany.
Perfect!
The manager, Alessandro, made us feel like very important guests as soon as we met him. His main goal was to make sure we had nothing but a perfect stay. The breakfast is incredible with a selection of food that was not missing anything. You can eat breakfast on the outside veranda bordered by a perfectly manicured lawn and the pool beyond bordered by a privacy fence of evergreens. So relaxing you never want to leave to explore Tuscany. Our only wish was that we could have stayed longer. We plan on returning!
This is what all Tuscan Hotels should be like
What a fabulous hotel to stay in. Our room was a split level townhouse style - bedroom upstairs, living area & bathroom downstairs. The staff on check in made us feel very welcome & explained the procedure for breakfast. On our first morning the Manager, Alessandro, went out of his way spending 10-15 minutes with us & showing us on the local map where to visit, what was worthwhile & what was not - it was like having your own personal tour guide! The hotel is a couple of Km outside of a town called Signa & just 1km away from an old Etruscan tomb (which you can visit from 9-2 each day). Plenty to do in the local area as well as throughout Tuscany. Florence is only 20 mins away - Alessandro suggested we take the train into Florence & we are glad we did as we didn't have to worry about traffic or parking. Best of all, it only cost 5.20 Euros return each & he even had tickets at reception, as well as explaining what train to catch & how to use the tickets! We will definitely be back!
overnight stay en route home
Finished to a very high standard this hotel was a revelation! Everything about it was spot on! Room was actually a suite beautifully decorated. With a superb restaurant - the service in both excellent. This was an over night stay on our way home but would definitely return just for a weekend break.
Tuscan villa suitable for Touring
Extraordinarily helpful staff at this quaint and comfortable villa which was ideal as a touring base in Tuscany. It is only minutes from Florence and well served by staff and the local facilities
Enchanting villa near the train to Florence
We were greeted by the friendly Stefano upon arrival, and were given an upgraded room! The room was a two level apartment with a living room, dining room, kitchen, with an upstairs bedroom and bathroom. It was slightly dated but very comfortable and had charming beams on the ceiling. We loved it! The breakfast was extensive and delicious and the coffee was wonderful! We ate dinner two nights in the Villa, and both proved to be some of the best meals we had in Italy - and at a more affordable price tag. The hotel is about 2 km from the train station, and parking near the train station is free. We felt the hotel was an incredible value, had great staff (Alessandro and Stefano especially), was comfortable and convenient, and we would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Florence area and Tuscany.
What a great place
This Villa that was built more than 400 years ago and since been renovated is truly a beautiful mansion worth staying a s a base for visits to Florence, Sienna, Pisa, San Gimignano and other great locations in Tuscany. We never seen staff so friendly and they gave us excellent advice, maps and tips on where to go, park, eat and visit in around the Area. Their main restaurant is top notch and their breakfast buffet was the best of our whole 21day visit in France and Italy. Highly recommended and we'll definitely go back.
Grate
They are very kind and very helpful with everything that we requested or asked. The place is very nice, clean and inviting. The pictures in the website reflect well the reality – you will not be surprised. We will defiantly visit again!
Countryside near Florence
The room was a 2-story Villa with plenty of room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A nice place to stay when visiting Florence. It is out in the country and only a twenty minute train ride into Florence.
Great hotel!
The staff was beyond excellent ! Marcela was super friendly and helpful. Alessandro was another friendly and helpful staff member. We spent 7 nights there and are planning to return when we go back to Italy. The morning buffet was also very good! We have nothing bad to say and we are booking the same hotel in the near future. My wife and I had a great time.
Really good value for the money.
Staff was super friendly and helpful. Fantastic buffet breakfast. Good restaurant on the estate. Got upgraded to a suite (downstairs/upstairs), large rooms. Parking right on the premises and included. 17 min. train ride to Florence, buy ticket at the front desk. Nice pool but did not use it, a bit too cool. Buildings would need some cosmetic updates. Rooms very clean.
Our 3 Night Stay
It appears the hotel accommodation is NOT in the big stately building that you may see. Instead in buildings near the entrance (the restaurant building is closer to the house). Indeed the main house was not accessible while we were there, except for wedding parties; etc. Our room was clean and functional. We were a disappointed because we were expecting slightly more sumptuous accommodation, furnishings, and an integrated hotel lounge etc. The hotel grounds are similarly "functional". It was September, and we ended up with a few bites, but not sure of the source. There's a deal of open water in the area (not landscaped in a any way), so little mosquitoes may have been the culprits (the hotel were thoughtful enough to include an automatic lemon insecticide in the room). Breakfast is reasonably good, with cappuccino; etc. readily available, and a deal of effort being made to offer my wife coeliac alternatives, including cake! The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient, and willingly offered good advice and support. The restaurant did make a mistake with the bill, but this was identified and rectified by reception staff without any fuss at all. Would we stay again? If I were on business, and was asked to stay there, it would be fine. Would I choose to stay for a romantic break? No. [ I am in my 50's, have a modest income only, and have stayed in many hotels worldwide for both business and pleasure ]
Lovely friendly hotel in beautiful location.
We had a great stay in this lovely friendly hotel. Room and breakfast were excellent. We visited Florence and Siena by train, station is only a 10minute drive from hotel. We used the hotel as a base to visit Montepulciano, Pienza, Montichiello, Vinci, Certaldo etc by car.
Wonderful Country Hotel in the Tuscan Hills
Our wonderful experience at this Hotel started on arrival when we were received with Italian hospitality, the facilities were explained and personally taken to our room were the amenities were outlined. Since it was very hot we took advantage of the outdoor pool then enjoying a glass of Chianti under the umbrella. Room interior was purely Tuscan with heavy woodbeams on the ceiling, a small kitchenette with dishes etc. Breakfast was sumptuous and the three ladies working the room ensured everyone was looked after.
fantastic hotel-best experience in Italy
We booked this hotel based on reviews and we were not disappointed. It's perfect for anyone traveling with a car. It is a little bit out of the way but that's one of its charms. The best feature is the staff....everyone was super helpful and friendly....food was fantastic (both dinner at the restaurant and breakfast). Wish we could have stayed longer!
Wonderful stay from arrival to departure.....
The staff with no exceptions are exceptional. We were treated with absolute kindness from the moment we arrived to our departure. The hotel is lovely, accommodations comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. We look forward to a return visit.
Great place.
Excellent staff and lodging. One of the best hotel restaurants that I have ever enjoyed! I hope to return some day.
Not what we expected. Even Better.
Beautiful place. Peaceful and relaxing especially after being on the road for 3 weeks. Alessandro and the staff make you feel very special. I'll stay there again when the time comes. Hopefully it will still be managed as well.
Quiet and restful outside of Florence
We had 2 very pleasant evenings at the Il Borgo de Villa Castelletti. Beautiful surroundings and very nice accommodations. It's a little out of the way if you are visiting Florence but very doable in a vehicle and taxis are available. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and answer questions about the area. We ate at the restaurant one evening and the meals were very good. Out of our accommodations in Rome, Florence and Venice we enjoyed the Borgo de Villa Castelletti the most.
A lovely place to stay
Had a lovely stay. Great breakfast. Lovely meal in restaurant. Car is advisable (there are bikes to use for local area) otherwise you do need to reply on taxi's for the short journey to the railway station where you can get to Pisa, Florence etc very easily.
Nice comfortable little room very well located!
Nice and clean, small and comfortable. Air conditioned working poorly and loudly, had to turn it off and it became soon too hot... Kind and helpful people at the desk.
Simply perfect!
Alessandro was fabulous! Luca was also very welcoming when we arrived here after getting lost and having to drive through very heavy rain. The place is wonderful, the breakfast in the garden was just fantastic! Amazing variety of breakfast items. I loved the fresh cut fruit! Even the soaps/shampoos etc made of olive oil were top notch. Must be very popular since they sell them in larger bottles. The location is wonderful albeit not easy to find we felt. Our phone GPS didn't help enough as it took us round and round :) The whole area is truly picturesque. This place as my husband put it "simply perfect"!! We definitely hope to return here some time again.
Holiday Highlight
Loved absolutely everything about this hotel. Friendly welcome. First class breakfast. Advice on travel into Florence. Beautiful surroundings. Excellent parking.Special thanks to the lovely couple who ran the very reasonably priced restaurant. Would most definitely return.
a place to go
Very friendly welcome, excellent breakfast
The best stay away from home
The place is amazing, the panoramic view from the hotel hill at night, the morning view from the room window to the river. The Castillo garden is beautiful. Also the room, the bathroom and the corridor were spotless clean. Breakfast was great thanks to Cinzia. The other hotel staffs; Stefano, Elizabeth were very helpful and courteous. Of course not to forget Alessandro's sense of humour. Thank you guys you made our stay memorable.
Love this place!
This was my fourth visit to this wonderful place. Alessandro, Betty, Luca and the staff are so kind and welcoming and took care of our every need. Hospitality and a relaxing environment is what sets them apart from any other place that I have ever stayed at. The countryside location was another plus.
a perfect score
everything about this hotel is just that perfect from the day we arrived to the day we left the management alesandro/marchella/stefano and staff could not do enough for the 6 of us. they even arranged for a doctors phone call for one of us. the hotel is set next to the villa casteltti and the grounds are perfect. this was our second visit and we hope for a third. our only regret is having to leave. dont miss out on staying here its the best.
Quiet Retreat
The hotel is an incredible find about 20mins outside of Florence. The staff are some of the friendliest that we have come across as they seem to take a personal interest in everyone that comes through their doors. The area is very quaint and it is a great place to come and relax but still be in close proximity to Florence and Sienna.
Excellent Position
This Villa is in an excellent position to take in the beautiful countryside and towns and cities of Tuscany. An excellent train service, from Signa, takes you into Florence in15 mins. Staff are all very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was worth getting up for each morning.
Our best hotel stay in Italy
Title says it all. This hotel has the absolute best service there is and it is in a grey location. We went for our honeymoon and we wish we stayed in this hotel longer. Breakfast is awesome, the views and pool are great.
Lovely
This is a great base for Tuscany; Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Siena, Bologna, plus many other places less famous (but worth a visit) are within easy reach either by car or train. Allesandro is a fantastic source of information - don't go anywhere without consulting him first! Happy, helpful, enthusiastic man. Breakfast is extensive and home cooked, and our room the "Van Gogh" had a kitchenette so we bought dinner home one night after a long day out. This place well suited our needs and we would happily return.
best of both worlds
what a great place tucked in Tuscany countryside, yet conveniently close to Florence (~30m by train) or to highways to Siena or Pisa, yet nice enough just to stay in to soak some sun. Great, friendly staff, good breakfast, at least one great restaurant in a walking distance. We'll definitely be back.
Great place
Wish we had more time there.
Wish we would have stayed longer...
We were greeted at reception by Alessandro, who was warm and friendly and gave us a wealth of information. We were only staying as a stop-over before heading to Rome, so we expected just to eat and go to sleep. However, the grounds were so picturesque we walked to the lake that we had been told about. The sun was setting and it was very romantic. Dinner was up the hill a bit from Il Borgo (Alessandro gave us the heads up on the special for guests). The food and wine were delicious. The next morning, Alessandro printed our train tickets, gave us directions to the train station and made sure we had to-go boxes of the amazing and extensive breakfast buffet they had laid out. We will be going back for a longer stay because our room was very charming and the landscape was breathtaking. Aside from that, Alessandro was one of the most hospitable and entertaining fellows we encountered in our week in Italy. It was a very memorable stay.
Amazing experience, I want to be back!
What a great surprise we had with this hotel, which we booked as an alternative to the Florence city hotels. It's located in the countryside, with gorgeous views, and it's maybe a 20-30' drive to Florence. The room was spacious, with two beds, a private bath and kitchen, a kind of an open two-level loft. The entire property was very well maintained: reception, rooms, gardens, pool, etc. The breakfast was great, and with good service. Everything good so far, but what made our stay unforgettable was the friendly staff: Marcela and Alessandro will be on every detail and really take care of you! I would definitely be back here if I come back to Tuscany.
Perfect site for relax!!!
Amazing hotel in the toscana zone, very clean and incredible staff,i will come back for sure!!!!
GREAT TIME
We had a great stay. Everything was clean and comfortable and the staff were more than willing to advise and offer any help they could. They were genuinely interested in us having a good time and did their best to make sure we had what we needed. Enjoyed getting to know the staff as much as seeing the sights.
Good hotel. Good value for money
Good hotel. Good value for money
Excellent
Excellent stay! Great hotel with very helpful staff!
Fantastic Tuscan getaway
Borgo Villa Castilletti is every bit what you would expect in the a Tuscan villa, with its sprawling grounds and own vineyard. They make their own wine which we tried and purchased. They also make their own skin and bath products from their olive trees which are used in the bathrooms. There is a running creek in the back that would make a lovely sight every morning when we wake up. Would love to just stay and enjoy the comfort and relaxed atmosphere of the grounds but we need to visit the nearby towns and cities too like Firenzi, Sienna, Lucca and Pisa so would come back tired to a clean, comfortable well made up room. Looking forward to coming back here with my family...
Perfect stay in the Tuscan area. We stayed 3 nights and loved the hotel. The room we got was very spacious, it had a small kitchenette with table and chairs which makes it convenient for longer stays. The decoration in the room was rustic and simple but very nice. The hotel looks like a new construction in and old property. The breakfast was very good, good selection and the lady prepared eggs any style you wanted. She was very nice and helpful, made good cappuccinos. Alessandro the owner and Stephano {receptionist when he was not there) where very helpful with all kinds of information about the area. The town of Signa is 3 minutes away and has a couple of good supermarkets and a small selection of places to eat. We had a car which we took to the train station and took the train into Florence which is maybe 15 to 20 minutes ride. Very convenient. If we come back to the area we would of course stay here again. We highly recommend this hotel.
Wonderful hotel
This is a wonderful hotel. Alessandro is a wonderful Manager and all the staff are excellent. The restaurant is also very good. Would stay here again.
A lovely spot to get away from it all.
The reception we received upon arrival was second to none. Room was great. Location is lovely and quiet.
Amazing hotel and staff
The hotel was absolutely wonderful. I can't begin to say enough about the staff ie: Diego absolutely wonderful man and the ladies in the restaraunts were so sweet and courtios. I would stay there again in a heart beat. Love it!!!
More than we expected
When I booked the hotel, we planned on staying there for 2 nights, and then would figure out what to do with the other 3 nights of our stay in Italy. Diego showed us to our Junior Suite, took us through the room and told us about it, and then left. 15 minutes later I tracked him down and told him we wanted to stay an additional 2 nights. The staff is excellent and knowledgeable, the breakfast was amazing each morning, the Junior Suite we stayed in was amazing.
A gem in Signa!
On out trip to Italy we drove from Rome to Florence then south to Callabria. We stayed in some beautiful hotels but none better than Borgo Di Villa Castelletti! We were pleasantly surprised when we drove onto the property and even more delighted when we saw the rooms. Everything was perfect! Alessandro (who is an Italian doll) and his helpful and courteous team made us feel very happy to be there. The property is really well cared for and the food was amazing! Our only regret is that we did not have more time to spend with them during our trip. I hope to return one day! Thank you to Alessandro and his team! Marie Ryan, Toronto, Ontario
EXCELLENT SERVICE!!!
We loved our stay. The staff was very friendly, especially Diego. We loved the room, pillows, bed and GREAT air conditioning. The view was great and overall I would give the hotel a PERFECT 10!!!
Wonderful Tuscany near Florence
This hotel was the highlight of the trip. The hotel is 15 minutes from Signa railway station with free parking. 2.5 euros and 15 minutes to Florence. Perfect location in the Tuscany countryside with close access to Florence. I will stay at this hotel the next time I visit Florence. The breakfast was fabulous. Wonderful flavors. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
A really nice stay
This place is really nice. Allesandro was very helpful, and the breakfast spread was impressive! The grounds are well kept, the room was clean and charming, and it is only a short drive from the train station to Florence.
Best stay in Italy
Via Castaletti was the highlight of our time in Italy. We were greeted at the train station by the owner and from that moment felt very welcome. Entire staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. The shuttle was available to take us to the train or local sites. The property was so nice we preferred just to relax, walk around the lake, enjoy the pool and rest. It was a terrific break from the craziness of Florence and Rome. The complimentary breakfast was awesome as was the on site restaurant for dinner. Highly recommend.
Great hotel next to a vineyard and river
Amazing experience. Taxi from Firenze was $46 euro, the driver didn't know where it was but we had the address handy and he put it in his gps. We were greeted and brought to our room, which was so much more impressive than the pictures online. A kitchenette, couch and living area. Upstairs loft had a bedroom and bathroom. Everything very clean and comfortable. Staff was so helpful and nice. The grounds are picturesque. Breakfast was meats and cheeses, pastries, eggs, bacon, yogurt, fresh fruit, breads. We took a 50 min train to pisa one day, very simple. One night we ate at the hotels restaurant and it was our favorite. Tuscan dishes, prepared fresh and we were treated so wonderfully. Food was amazing, ambiance was romantic, I would highly recommend it. One note: DO NOT ORDER FROM THE PIZZA PLACE! It rained one day so we stayed in and ordered from the local pizza place, big mistake. We got pizza stuck to the roof of the box and the pasta and chicken dishes were literally microwaveable dinners, with the microwave instructions written on the box- disgusting.
Great Tuscany experience
The best Tuscany experience, service exceeded our expectations.
Excellent Hotel
Rooms are large, amazing and very well appointed. Service is also excellent...they strive to make sure you are very satisfied. breakfast and what they call light lunch (quite big lunch) is also excellent. For light lunch I recommend asking for "Pappa" which was a big surprise. As other people explained getting to Florence via the train is the best alternative (5 min ride to the train and 15 min ride to Florence city center). They sell stamps and train tickets. Ask to go see the oil factory (small family production) in Bacchereto. Was very informative and you can buy the oil in any format on place....as well as wine. For dining, we mostly went to a restaurant in Signa (5 min drive) called Da Foffo. They have a large and diverse menu as well as quite affordable compared to Florence and the rest of Italy.
Fantastic Hotel close to Firenze
It is not only price for value- it gives you more! Quiet, friendly, calm, gardens around, great service, wonderful Administrator Alexander. Personal approach, all needs satisfied, at the end of staying feels like you are family member.
Great Tuscan experience!
The hotel is located quite a distance from Florence but if one wants a quiet, peaceful 'getaway from it all' experience, then the location of the hotel is perfect! Set on a hill, with vineyard and lots of old trees, the place has great views of Tuscan landscape 360 degrees. I esp love the view of a stream and greenery from our back floor to ceiling window. Also appreciated are the English speaking, friendly and very helpful staff and sumptuous home cooked breakfast every morning.
Great staff, nice hotel
