The property is beautiful. Close to restaurants, travel agencies, pharmacy, stores. Walking distance to the docks and convenience stores. Service was outstanding, food was amazing, rooms were impecable and staff was so nice and friendly. Will definitely recommend and can’t wait to return soon!

I think this is the best place to stay on Santa Cruz, everyone was excellent and provided great service.

Ikala was the perfect hotel for my stay in Puerto Ayora. It’s two blocks from the pier, close to all the tour guide offices, close to all the restaurants and shopping. As a single female, I felt safe and well cared for. The rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable. There’s a great restaurant with a view, pool and bar. The front desk spoke English which I was grateful for since I don’t speak Spanish. I will definitely stay here again as I plan to go back as soon as possible.

I will start with the amazing staff always there to help you, property is safe and in a great location. Rooms are comfortable but internet signal around of property is very little. Breakfast buffet is very tasty and delicious.

Amazing Property

Our stay at Hotel Ikala was a wonderful experience. Clean spacious rooms with beautiful common areas. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Would recommend 10/10!

Very friendly staff and great location. We used the free bikes every day to go around the town. The breakfast has a great selection of options and the staff prepares the eggs just how you want it. Would definitely recommend.

Unique and tranquil. The coffee situation and not being available is my only complaint. Most people are early risers and would like coffee watching sunrise. Period!

This hotel is in the ideal location about five minutes from the public pier where all of my boat tours departed from. I absolutely loved my large, very clean airy and modern room with a lovely view from the large windows. I wanted a top notch hotel and this definitely met my expectations. Checkin was very easy and friendly and they took my bags to my room for me. Service was excellent. I really enjoyed the breakfast each morning; very fresh, clean area, with a beautiful view of the water. I would definitely stay here again.

Ikala is a charming boutique-type hotel. The rooms are spacious and perfectly situated near the pier and very close to the best shopping and restaurants. The hotel staff are all EXCELLENT - polite, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. They were very helpful with Galapagos sight-seeing recommendations and tours. The rooftop restaurant with city/coastal views is a unique feature and absolutely breathtaking. Lastly, we really enjoyed having access to free bikes to leisurely stroll around the island. We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and could not have been more pleased with our selection.

this was a lovely hotel, rooms were clean & spacious, staff was extremely kind & helpful. Great view from the rooftop restaurant, and it is right in town so walking distance to everything. The only drawback for me was it’s not right on the water. overall a great spot!

My stay at Ikala was great! Everyone was helpful and accommodating. They arranged airport pickup transfer to and from the airport. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The bar area was nice and well kept. They are literally always cleaning! They property offered bicycles to use which was great. The hotel is nearby the pier and close to many shops/restaurants. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you all! :-)

A beautiful hotel, extremely close to the ferry dock. We loved the private balcony, lovely pool area, and view from the roof. Decent wifi (by island standards). Very helpful staff called taxis for us and held our bags when we needed to check out late.

Clean, modern, friendly

This is a great hotel in that it is in the center of everything. It is modern, spacious and offers free bicycles to ride around town! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. My wife has lactose intolerance and the staff purchased almond milk so she could have her cafe late with almond milk every morning.

The staff was so helpful, attentive and accomodating. Danny was our bartender/waiter who mixed us freshly squeezed cocktails. The hotel is in a great location, very walkable. They also have complimentary bikes that you can take for the day.

This hotel provided a very luxurious stay in Puerto Ayora. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. The room was nicely cleaned each day. And I love that they don't use any single use plastics.

The hotel greeted us with drinks and delivered our luggage to the rooms. It was very nice breakfast and we had a great time.

Great place to stay in Santa Cruz

I wish I would have stayed here the entire time I was visiting the island. The staff is amazing - very attentive and super nice. The room was big, updated, and the bed was comfortable. I wish it was a sunny day to enjoy the pool - the entire layout of the hotel is appealing. There was a decent selection for breakfast and the view can’t be beat. I would probably skip the restaurant for dinner - there are better options on the island…but it was still okay and reasonably priced.

We cannot say enough about the Ikala Hotel! Everything about it was perfect. The location, the size of the room we had, the well appointed modern bathroom, comfortable beds and sitting area were all excellent. The staff was very kind and helpful. They made us feel so welcome and right at home. The breakfast was wonderful also! We will definitely be back!

The staff was excellent. There is no elevator, so be prepared to walk up steps. The view from the roof is nice, but the food is only fair. The breakfast was good. Only real problem was no hot water in the shower. We brought this up to the staff, but nothing was done.
