There’s nothing I didn’t like about the property I loved it was immaculate also very comfortable it was a stunning place .
So central, comfy bed and amazing shower.
Stayed here last year but the cleanness and condition of the rooms have came down dramatically from marks on walls, carpet worn, shower area dirty. Air conditioner sounded like it was going to take off
Another lovely stay at this City Centre Hotel
Have been to this hotel often. City centre hotel but tucked down a side street so very quiet. Staff are always wonderful. A large selection of breakfast, hot full breakfast or croissant and yogurt.
Reat short stay
Just right for short stay - close to train stations and the hub of city
Shower door hanging off terrible pillows. Table lose and unstable. Very noisy aircon
Great location, nice room and friendly service
Staff very friendly. Free coffee and juice.
Convenient. Staff not quite as friendly as your literature suggested. Food good and room good.
Nice hotel and handy location
Lovely hotel and staff, definitely use it again
Great location near multiple train stations, and plenty of great food options in the area.
Good value - great location
Great location - breakfast was very good with plenty choice. Rooms comfortable. Hotel seemed very hot in both room and bar.
Charming economical hotel.
The interior design is quirky and fun and the staff are all warm and friendly. My room was extremely quiet, I slept great after a long overnight flight. The room doors all close quietly which is a nice touch so you don't hear other doors slamming shut at all hours. The location was perfect for George Square, Buchanan Street shopping and many sight and a subway stop was very close.
Location is terrific for what I needed
Excellent hotel in central Glasgow location.
Clean, modern, basic hotel in a convenient but relatively quiet area in the middle of the city.
Best location
Water pressure is so weak up there, you have to wait for the flush in the room next door to fill up and stop so that you can have a string of water to wash your hands and brush your tooth. Awful phosphorus graffiti themed lifts and walls and stuff. Where have you been, still living '97 Trainspotting? Not coming back, sorry.
the staff were incredible and the location was amazing! It could have been clearer though as there was false eyelashes on the carpet when we got in.
Mediocre Stay
We were allocated a room which was accessible for wheelchair users but we didn’t request this. The wash basin in the shower room was so low to the ground and small (only suitable for hand washing), it was impossible for my husband to have a shave. Scrambled eggs were rubbery and tasteless, we asked for poached eggs but were told there was only scrambled. Never received any perks for being a Hotels.com VIP member
Room was clean and had all that was needed. But had an issue with room heating took ages to warm up was the only issue.
Worst mattress I’ve ever slept on.
Good value for money
Great location. Central to everything in the City Centre and transit routes. The bed was a little hard. Housekeeping was a little bit or miss. Overall it worked perfectly for us as we only really needed a place to sleep. Appreciated the complimentary tea/coffee in the reception area.
Glasgow short break
Had a great stay Reception staff were very welcoming breakfast was a bonus with a good variety overall would highly recommend.
Close to places to eat
Perfect location, very friendly staff.
Room was cold and trying to adjust it was difficult to achieve. Breakfast at 9.15am was a bit chaotic as it was busy and food was slow to be replaced when empty
Very nice pace. Close to everything. Charming!
Decent stay for a quick overnight. Hotel is in a great location, parking is cumbersome but they validate for a discount. Double twin room was decent but condition of hotel was a little run down.
Great helpful staff, comfy bed
The room wasn’t the cleanest and it was weird to have stickers or pictures on the bathroom mirror so you can’t actually use the mirrors.
Staff on checking slightly abrupt On checkout staff lovely
Lovely clean central hotel short walk from queen st station, staff really helpful and polite, breakfast good choice. Left luggage on departure while going shopping and on return enquired if i could buy a coffe advised to help ourselves to hot drinks and fruit juice free of charge, nice touch. Will definitely return next time overnight in Glasgow
Overnight stay
Good stay but prices have escalated and breakfast on top expensive hsve been coming here numerous times bit disappointing
Nice quiet hotel in city centre
Staff were friendly and helpful. The hairdryer in room was faulty but staff changed it for a new one as soon.as i mentioned it. Rooms looked newly refurbished and cosy with everything you might need during your stay, even an iron and ironing board. Breakfast was good had an adequate choice for vegetarians. The hotel itself is close to the enoch centre and only a ten minute walk to Buchanon Galleries. Although in city centre we did not hear any noise from our room. I only have one little negative the pillows were very firm so didnt get a great sleep as i prefer a soft pillow. Apart from that we had a good stay.
Central hotel
The only problem is I found it difficult to sleep with the constant noise from the extractor fan in toilet.
Clean modern and affordable hotel in a nice area ofbthe city center
Great location in the centre of town and close to buses and trains. Mostly clean, although the TV remote looked like it hadn't been wiped in months. Room had everything you would need for a short stay. Door handle in the bathroom was coming off. Reported it, but it was not fixed. Decent breakfast for the money. Nice bar. Friendly staff.
Overall, a good stay. The hotel location is central to everything and tucked down a side street so it was pretty quiet. Breakfast options were basic. The coffee machine(s) definitely were getting a workout. One went out of commission. We let the desk know about a couple of things in our room that needed attention and they handled it right away! Overall all good here!
Good central location. Breakfast was good.
Return visit. Great staff and brilliant location.
Great location, fun decor, good basic accommodations
New fan
Comfy hotel, was treated well! Great care area with complimentary tea & espresso drinks. Would def in an Ibis again
Was quiet for being right downtown. Small but clean and modern rooms.
The room was clean and efficent for the few nights we were there. No working ac in room and windows did not open because the room was on higher floor.
Good value and location
Bed was uncomfortable. Hotel is in a congested, noisy area. Otherwise, stay was OK
Ibis has no on line check in but Expedia do not recognise this and still send the on line check in which doesn’t work at reception
Impressed!
I was impressed! Great location, clean rooms and a good breakfast to boot!
Loved our stay!
Nice place to stay. Would be nice to have the ability to check in early.
Perfect location
Nice clean room, staff is fantastic!
Location was great!
Hair on the breakfast food. Pillows are hard. Says on their website for laundry. Arrived to check in and they said no laundry at all.
It was the perfect spot for access to the Glasgow Queen St train station and Buchanan Bus Station. Staff were super friendly and there’s amazing restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk.
Excellent staff, really friendly and efficient too. Nice rooms , clean and quiet.
Very comfortable overnight stay. Great location for the start of The Great Scottish Run, or any other city centre event.
Great convenient overnight stay .
We had a excellent stay here, very quiet, great location, 1st time here. I would say to have a spare blanket or other warm cover in case customers felt cold. Would definitley recommend and would stay here again.
Very conveniently located for ease of getting to/from bus and train stations. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They let us check-in early which was a bonus as we had flown all night from Canada. There was access to 2 shopping areas within a 3-5 minute walk from the hotel as well as numerous eating options. The room was not overly large but worked well for us (2 people). Enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
Lovely hotel in a great location.
Pleasant enough stay for one night but could hear next door going to toilet and their pan flushing.
I am quite old. My first impression was that this was a hotel for young people. In many ways this was a correct assessment but, I was made to feel welcome and the things that were important to me were present. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.
A wonderful location in city center. This hotel surpassed my expectations.
Great facilities but breakfast needs improvement
Great location, comfortable and clean room and super helpful staff. Love the design features and nudges to reduce energy consumption by offering free drinks for declining room cleaning during stay. However the breakfast needs improvement as parts were inedible due to being overcooked and kept warm too long so this is creating unecessary food waste.
Clean, quiet, nice lounge area, close to the city center.
Convenient. Secure. Comfortable. Room suited our needs. Simple. Staff was friendly. Great value for the money.
Centrally located. Lots of areas easily walkable and quick access to subway and bussing. Secure entry to building with key card only access. Nice accommodations. Staff very friendly.reccommend.
The Ibis in Glasgow Centre was a very nice room with a comfortable bed and excellent shower. The loxcation was outstanding - right downtown and a block away from St Georges Square. There were many excellent places to eat in a short walking distance. Doors were secured at 8pm and it was a very safe hotel. Parking is a short distance and with the hotel discount it cost us £16 for 2 days. Breakfast, which came with the room was a full breakfast. Very impressed with the selection. Although the rooms were small the breakfast area was available to sit in and have a drink. If you want a good location to see Glasgow in a day or two this is a great location. Staff was very helpful.
Pleasant surprise
I was surprised how comfortable it was. Staff were friendly and accommodating.
Underwhelmed, riom very small, no view check i did t feel welcoming at all
Very clean and new
Our window wirh city view was blocked with tinted glass. Bummer. No fridge. Rest was convenient to everywhere we wanted to go.
Nice clean, comfortable room but the noise from the plumbing durinng the night is too much.
The location is excellent along with the fun staff that made our stay very relaxed.
Pros: Right in the middle of Glasgow only about 5 minutes from both main stations which couldn’t be more convenient (although there is a downside to this too). Very quiet. The hotel was busy as I discovered at breakfast but I did not hear another soul in my room. Equally no outside noise either even though I was on a low floor. Lovely staff. Reception is open 24 hours and they couldn’t have been nicer. Cons: Giving them the benefit of the doubt that it’s the end of a busy tourists season and the work will be done over the winter, but my room was not in good condition. Marks - including a hand print - and large bits of paint missing on the walls. Stains on the curtains. My corridor was very smelly - a mouldy smell. Thankfully this didn’t come into the room. Glasgow is not the safest feeling city after dark and I didn’t feel completely safe in that location going out on my own. Not enough capacity in the restaurant at breakfast. It was like a rugby match getting to the food. Much of which was undercooked because they were obviously racing to keep up with capacity. Hash browns were so soggy you could barely get one out of the serving dish without it collapsing. All of the pastries were soggy and almost raw.
My room was quite small but modern . Good bathroom , although low water flow. The bed was comfortable. The staff was very nice. The area is very close to historic buildings and nice restaurants and bars
I liked the staff and the simple ambience of the property. The breakfast served has some oom for improvement, but it was still noirishing.
Very convenient for dinning shopping
Medium
The localization is fantastic!! People at the reception was so friendly, fantastic!! But inside the room things were not good - bed clothes were torn; the water inside the bathroom did not leave as it should during the bath.....our room was number 403, I think it is better to give a look. The breakfast was standard - ok, but people did not replace bread, fruits, etc.
Room was clean but. Bed was hard and very uncomfortable when checked bed had a foam over mattress then a mattress cover on top of that which was to small
Nice, clean rooms with prompt check in. Friendly staff. Complimentary filtered water hot drinks all day using the machine in the reception area was a nice touch. However, breakfast was one of the worst services I’ve ever had. During my 3 day stay, on 2 of those mornings the buffet was almost empty even though I came early. The buffet one morning had nearly empty platters for the cheese slices, ham slices, bread, eggs, croissants, muffins, mushrooms, fruit, yoghurt. Orange juice machine ran out of juice so ended up drinking water with orange flavour. The staff don’t seem to be able to fill the buffet back up as fast as it’s being used up during busy times. Asked staff to bring out more eggs and a few other things, I was told 5 mins but took them 15 mins and by this point the rest of my food had gone cold. When they do bring food out it’s small quantities so they run out quickly. If you’re staying here I wouldn’t recommend eating the breakfast. I’m not usually picky but I was really disappointed with this experience. I would stay again but wouldn’t pay for breakfast, there is a Greggs 2 min Walk away, rather go there or the food hall in the Shopping Centre near hotel.
Checkin was smooth, staff were very friendly and helpful and location of hotel was good. However, we checked out the hotel a day early as the bed was extremely uncomfortable and I woke up with a bad back. Cleanliness was ok however hair on spoon by teacups and I switched my shower towel for a new one at reception as it was dirty (reception very helpful). Tv also was connecting to mirroring for our Netflix. I wouldn’t therefore stay again. We also heard a lot of noise at 5am outside which can’t be helped by the hotel.
Great location, plenty of room for twin beds
Friendly staff, minimal but comfortable room. The location is very central and walkable. I would stay here again.
Great location, helpful staff, good clean room if you're planning to spend the majority of your time outside of the hotel. Could use paint touch ups to some walls and things. Would stay again for sure.
This hotel was very convenient - close to the train station and the subway, and all the shopping nearby. It was also great for walking in the neighbourhood.
Paid well over the normal price had a room with a window to the back of the property
The staff at the hotel are so friendly and chill. The reception/restaurant/bar level was a nice place to hang out.
Great location and lovely staff
Check in staff amazing -freinds joined me for a drink and food . Relaxed chilled evening
Great central spot in Glasgow while on a budget
Great hotel- very easy and awesome lobby. Highly recommend!
Ideally located for a day/night out in Glasgow. Comfortable clean room.
Friendly, helpful staff, lovely room and ideal city centre location
Excellent location. Staff were helpful and friedbly. Walkable to most sights downtown. Airport transit was 5min walk away with less than 10min wait. I was out of the hotel and in Glasgow Airport in 30min for just £10. There is TV and kettle, ironing board and iron. Toilets are clean, and modern. There is AC, good sound insulation. Will definitely consider this place again if I come back.
This hotel is so conveniently located! We traveled by bus from the airport, and the hotel is only a few blocks away from the bus station. Also very convenient to the subway as well as all amenities of downtown Glasgow. The hotel has a great breakfast menu, as well as a stocked bar!
Great location, walking distance to everything. Super friendly staff!
Adequate and reasonable priced hotel in the center of Glasgow.
Lovely hotel. Cosy rooms and good breakfast.
This was our 3rd visit here as we really like it. We liked it again this occasion, but just one negative was when we were put in an accessible room. The room was a great size but the negative was that the bathroom wasn’t practical for someone who didn’t need it accessible. My husband is 6ft 4” so the sink was at his knees, so made it difficult to wash his face and brush his teeth. It was also incredibly small, with the mirror being lower as well. I also didn’t like that we had that type of room and someone may need it.
