The Ibis is located near the Hauptbahnhof and within easy walking distance to the Christmas Market. Nurnberg is magical this time of the year. The breakfast was very good and the room was warm and spotless. I hope to return.
We arrived before our room was ready and hotel staff checked our bags so we didn’t have to carry anything around town. The area is very nice and the hotel is in a central location, which is reflected in the price. We enjoyed our room, which faced the street. It got loud at night but that’s to be expected for a Saturday night in this location. Our train didn’t leave until after check out, so we were again able to check our bags and pick up later.
Close to main train station and really walkable area
I appreciated the staff let me stored my luggage before check in time and after check out time. 👍
Noisy street from 05:50 to 08:30
This hotel is located conveniently near the train station and access to the old town. It is a perfect location with everything right at the doorstep. The hotel itself is likely ready for a remodel, however, it was clean and a good value for the price. It was a gem of a find for a 2 day trip to Nuremberg.
The gentleman who checked us in was excellent; however, the girl at front desk at check out was not helpful and kept rolling her eyes and seemed annoyed with me asking questions about the subway. No coffee maker in the room, shower flooded the bathroom floor, very loud outside until 3am both nights.
All very good Location room good breakfast nice staff good
Very confusing in regards to parking. The staff tried but we had to figure everything out ourselves
Instructions for parking were out of date and ended up paying a little more than advertised. Great location for walking around town. The building and rooms were tight and not very spacious - but that did not impact our stay.
Loved everything about this place! Will stay here any time I’m in Nuremberg!
If location is your thing.
The best thing about this hotel is its location, a few metres from the station and right in the old town. The staff are friendly and easy to get along with. It is an older hotel and it shows it once in you get past the entrance. It is clean, just looks like dorm rooms from the late eighties. The beds are very, very hard and the aircon is useless in a room that gets extremely hot throughout the night. We found it really hard to get any sleep and it wasn’t that hot outside, I feel for anyone going there in July.
Grwat location and value
Helpful staff in a great location in the old town close to the train station. If driving, you can park at Hauptbanhof for €15 for 24hrs. Helpful staff.
Perfect location
Room shape is abnormal. Wish there is a hot water pot for making a cup of tea.
It was within easy walking distance from the train station. There were ample dining options close by.
Lovely stay
Convenient location right in the Altstadt, close to many the museums, and easy access to the Hbf. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Excellent choice for a stay in Nuremberg!!
Simple and clean rooms in a convenient location near the main train station. Check-in was rather curt, but staff were otherwise polite. WiFi worked well but required re-registration every time the device was turned on. The breakfast option seemed expensive at 15 Euros and was not chosen.
Very good location, just minutes from the hbf and is walkable to most areas of interest! :)
Great stay at Ibis. So convenient to the train station. It was easy to walk all over the old town. The room was small but neat and clean. We would stay there again!
Great location
Fantastic location in the old city, clean quiet room. Thanks
Good value hotel and lovely staff
Good choice for staying at the hotel.
This hotel is convenient to everything in Nurenberg! You can literally walk across the street from the train station and be at your hotel in five minutes. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. Breakfast was very filling and delicious. I highly recommend this hotel.
Very nice room in an excellent location in the city. Just steps from the entrance to the train station.
The hotel is listed as having sound proof rooms, but they definitely were not. We were able to hear everybody outside our room on the street literally the entire night. Also, we could hear people above us and in the hallway during the night as well. We did not get a lot of sleep due to the noise, but other than that, the hotel is nice and is in a great location.
Great location, excellent staff and well maintained accommodation
Basic clean hotel. Very good location in the old town. Only minutes from train station and all attractions walkable.
Good Location but a bit Noisy
The hotel has a very good location in the Nuremberg old town just a block from the main train station. It is on a very noisy street and was noisy even late at night especially on the weekend. It was a nice hotel room with a decent breakfast for a reasonable price.
Hotel located in the Altstadt, pedestrian only area. Couldn’t get better than that!
Hotel fine, but noisy on a Saturday night
The hotel itself is fine and the location is good for the train station/aldstadt. Unfortunately, it's directly above a nightclub, which played music until after 4am. The area directly outside the hotel (so a few feet away from my room) is used as the nightclub smoking area, and is noisy with shouting and talking until after 5am. Got to sleep at about 5.30am.
Excellent location/value
Excellent value for the location - central, walk to main sights, restaurants. Also within steps of the central station. Staff very pleasant and check-in was a breeze. When I asked for a higher floor it was done without any fuss - that's SERVICE!!
A
A good, clean, neat and tidy hotel 5 minutes walk from the main railway station.Small faults like shower doors not closing fully and a flickering light in the shower room let the place down a little but not much.I'd be quite content to stay here again.
Clean, central hotel with awful awful service
Comfortable room and good facilities for a small hotel. Great location for centre of town. Our stay was spoilt by poor customer service. incredibly grumpy reception staff. To be greeted with such disdain is not great when arriving after a long journey. No welcome. No smiles. We were slightly before the allocated check-in time, but you would have thought we had committed some kind of crime! Breakfast was good quality, but again completely ruined by openly rude staff member. No greeting, just literally shouted at us when my son pressed a little too hard on the waffle maker. It caused zero mess and was no problem whatsoever, and yet the staff member thought it was appropriate to shout and push us out of the way. Embarrassing and so so rude.
The hotel was clean and quiet. We had two rooms and was informed they didn't have any connected rooms for the kids and the other room was 3 floors away. The door to one of the rooms kept getting stuck and you had to put your weight into it to open. We informed the staff and it was not resolved. We only stayed one day so we just dealt with it. However, the breakfast was very good and had a lot of options compared to the other hotels.
2 night stay
Well located Ibis, 2 mins from train station (when you come out of the station it is hiding behind that big stone tower). Pedestrianised area. Quite busy outside with bars, restaurants etc. There was a big group checking in when I arrived but the guy on reception was patient, efficient and attentive. Rooms adequate for my purposes, certainly no let down for the Ibis chain!
Fint hotel centralt beliggende
Rigtig fint hotel centralt placeret. Der var, hvad der skulle være og morgenmaden var også god.
While i did not get to stay at IBIS, because they were having a problem with water leaking, they did put me in the Art & Business Hotel and it was perfect. It a wonderful night sleep with an amazing breakfast 😋
Wonderful location for a quality ibis hotel
Very welcoming helpful staff. Very comfortable clean room. Ideal location, a few minutes walk from the train station, on the edge of the historic old town, and the luggage storage was so useful.
Very close to the hauptbahnhof. Food in area was very good.
Book another hotel before you’re sent there anyway
Upon arrival, after waiting 20 minutes for other guests to be checked in, the single receptionist at first told me I had no reservation. Upon showing my booking and receipt he told me the hotel was over booked and that I had been moved to another hotel. I had no prior warning of this and having pre paid for my reservation, I was very annoyed to see the people in front of me paying for their room while I had no room despite already having paid. After the receptionist made a phone call he came back and gave me the directions to my new hotel. The new hotel was expecting me but had a small single room reserved for me instead of the double I’d booked. Terrible service on all levels, I will never book an Ibis again after this level of service.
Rooms are clean and well-maintained. Location is fantastic - right across from the train station and metro stop and right inside the Old Town. You can easily walk around the entire Old Town. Would definitely stay again.
Very Convenient
Was very near the Central Station which was very convenient especially with the snow. Also walkable to the Christmas Markets. Clean and basic.
This hotel is immediately at the starting point of the old city and literally right across the street from the train station. Everything was clean and in very good condition. Parking was available at a parking deck about 300 meters away. I would easily stay here again, however next time without bringing a car.
The biggest selling point was the location. Right in Old Town but also very close to the train station. No frills, but location was the best.
the location is very good
Great Hotel if you travel by train!!! Hbf two minutes away .
I booked the wrong date. Not more than one minute later, I needed to cancel, only so that I could book for the day after. Sorry, it's non refundable. I hope the hotel needed that money more than I did.
Good hotel. Very central, but still quiet when in the rooms and convenient for the main station.
Very central location
No frills
I have had worse, really no frills
In the middle of all the action. A bit small but does the job. Parking is a hassle in all Europe so that is not their blame really.
After an 8 hour flight and 3 hour train ride it was extremely convenient to just walk from the train station to this hotel. The check in was easy, the front desk lady very helpful to advise us in terms of COVID testing. The room was awesome. The air conditioning is a little week. The sound proofed windows a must. Our room on the 6th floor was very quiet and restful.
Great location near the train station, city wall and old town shopping areas. Basic buy clean, well maintained and efficient hotel and rooms. Breakfast was included and made the room even better value. My only issue was the flimsy, thin and lumpy pillow and the absence of a safe in the room.
Great hotel in all aspects.great location
Nice, very clean 3* hotel in the old center of Nuremberg.
shima
It was ok. No fancy furnitures but it’s ok.
Convenient for the station & old town
A decent hotel very near the station and actually in the old town. A bit noisy in the evening with all the people eating & drinking in the street below when the window was open.
Highly recommended!!!
Wonderful location, kind staff, clean and comfortable.
One of the worst Ibis hotels which I stayed. Breakfast is poor, room was very cold, can be heated only by noisy A/C.
The location couldn’t have been better! It was close to the train station, tourist information and a short walk to the Christmas market.
I had constent problems with the electricity supply in my room and when I attempted to plug in a charger all the power in the room would go. This problem was constant for the duration of my stay despite attempts by reception to solve the problem. This was a very dangerous situation. And the bar facility's were poor.
Friendly staff and good location, but obviously a cheap hotel. Mattress was very hard, but most importantly room was very hot; AC didn't work, and thermostat appeared to be locked/unadjustable. Cheap place to stay for the night.
Great place
Excellent location with everything we needed!
Location to train station and restaurants could not be better
Nuremberg
Altstadt Nuremberg. Perfect location. Staff help excellent
Great hotel close to the rail station
Really enjoyed our stay period excellent location close to all the sights in old town and the train station.
Great location, close to the main train station. No issues at all with the facilities. Enjoyed the breakfast. Our room at the front of the hotel was quite noisy though.
Hotel was good, room could do with a bit more comfort, but it was good for the price. Breakfast was good. Unfortunately, even though my whole floor was non-smoking, a guest in one of the rooms was smoking and the staff couldn’t do anything about it because we did it know which room. The reality of these budget accommodations is that they tend to attract a younger, noisier crowd and the rooms were not as sound proof as I thought they would be. Getting my items out of the hote safe also took a long time. However, staff tried to be helpful, bed was comfortable and the location was great.
NUREMBERG OCTOBER 2018
Nice hotel in great location in city centre. Very friendly and helpful staff Nice bed and shower as the always the case in Accor hotels. Only issue was I was at the front of the hotel on the main road and I was there Friday night and the drunk people outside were very noisay!
Two stars
Location is great.
Great choice to explore Nürnberg
The hotel is very well located five minutes away from both the rail station and the old town. Friendly staff as well!!
Excellent hotel for the price. Clean, well lighted, super friendly staff. Recommend if you’re on a budget!!
Friendly staff; hotel in great location. Spacious and clean room. Very pleasant stay.
Fantastic location
Fantastic location. Clean and comfortable.
Great hotel near train station
Hotel was clean and the location was great. Plenty of restaurants and bars very close by. The shower was great with good water pressure! Ni Hao is a wonderful Chinese restaurant around the block.
Good location good price
Excellent location, good budget priced hotel. Would stay again happily
Super nice balance
Located right at the 1000 year old gateway to the Nuremberg old city. Excellent hotel, moments from the vibrant social cafes clubs and restaurants but hotel room was peaceful and quiet
Visiting Germany after a 30 year military service

Excellent location
Excellent location. Near to most attractions, all within walking distance. Food spots around the hotel, nearby coffee joint and a underground Irish pub! Very near to the nuremberg central train station, with underground links to the hotel. You will never go wrong with this hotel. However free WiFi could have been faster, adequate for messaging and light browsing only. Fast WiFi will require some sort of payment.
Our stay was excellent. Staff very helpful.
Good location but needs more amenities
This hotel is in a great position to see Nuremberg. Near the center of the city and also near the central train station which made it perfect for our needs. The staff were friendly and efficient and the rooms were clean. Only negative part was the lack of amenities such as tea/coffee facilities. Only one towel for 2 people- no mat for the floor outside the bathroom.
Clean, comfortable rooms. Small though. Breakfast was average. Excellent location.
Great location but tiny room
The hotel is in a fantastic location and surprisingly quiet given how busy the area is. The room was extremely small with little storage space. That said, the was clean and the bed comfy.
Just in front of the train station 5minits walk. in the centre of the old city.
Great hotel at a reasonable price. Very convenient to the train station and the old town. Room was simple but modern and super clean. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful without exception.
Great place in Old Town!
Great place! Right inside the old town walls so a very short walk from the train station. Breakfast was extra 10 Euros but good with many options. Staff was helpful and gave us suggestions for restaurants, tours, etc. no complaints about this place- would definitely stay here again!
Clean and quiet hotel close to the railway station
I had great stay at the hotel. I stayed at the hotel for three nights. It was quiet and clean and room was bigger than expected.
Last min stay
We missed our last train home and had to stay the night and catch the next morning train. This hotel was great. Had a room avaliable at last min. Was perfect to get some sleep after along day of travel.
Ibis is in a great location within the pedestrian area of Nuremberg. It's very close to restaurants, pubs/bars and sites. The room itself was small but usual for European hotel standard rooms but it was clean and the staff was very friendly.
great location and hotel
The hotel is in a perfect location with excellent cleanliness and helpful staff
Great hotel
Great location to train. Very friendly staff and really liked hotel. It was Friday night and could hear a lot of people drinking in street. For the money great hotel, stayed again on our return visit
Great Hotel
I base my review on this being a budget hotel because that is what it is and I cannot fault it. Great location just a stones throw away from the main station and very close to the heart of the Old Town. Surrounded by plenty of restaurants... cafes and shops this is a brilliant budget hotel that does what it says on the tin. Friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend.
Close to christmas market
Great visit i plan on staying longer ..the history is amazing..would want to visit all the interesting places
Spacious, clean, quiet
We stayed here for only one night but found the room to be spacious, clean, and comfortable. The location was close to the Altstadt and the train station which allowed us to make the most of our short stay!
Perfect place for budget train travellers
Great place to stay except for lack of control on temperature of room. Heater on ceiling does not work, floor heater was offered, but we didn't accept as the room was small, just enough to walk around, not for floor heater. Apart from that, we love staying there. 3 mirrors in the room to check ourselves we look good. The room was small but great hygiene control, white bed sheets. All simple requirements are provided for, consistent with Ibis expectation.
Highly Recommended Hotel
Very good location, close to everything
Some Booking Confusion but nice hotel overall
We had some trouble checking-in and getting the room type we booked via Hotels.com. There seemed to be some confusion between the hotel and the website and we were also told we only paid for 1 person, though the booking was for 2 people. Hotels.com helped us resolve some of the problem but we had to convince the staff to give us the larger room with two beds that we booked (they said we only booked a one-bed room despite our receipt). In the end, we received a great room for our second of two nights, but some of the staff were not friendly nor helpful (while one or two were lovely). It's a great location and a nice hotel overall, just be careful with any booking issues.
