Rooms are too small , far away from down town and very limited transportation

Convenient to the airport, in a rather industrial area.

The room was tiny, smaller than it seems in the photo. The top bunk is undoubtedly difficult to change bedding. It hadn't been done in quite a while. It was filthy. No one was available to change it so they gave us a new sheet to put down on top of the filth. There were no other rooms available. They also would not give us a discount or free parking based on the condition of the room. Look elsewhere. This place was gross

Reception was really helpful. 2 stops from Airport on tram and short trip into city. Very handy location. We didn’t know about tram before and got an Uber which was very expensive. Hotel was basic but good value

The room overall is good, small but set up smart to be able to accommodate all my needs. Service is good and the front desk people are friendly!

Good place but no kettle in the room!

Good enough for a quick stay where you're only using the hotel to sleep or for an expensive hotel continental buffet. Surprising that the room didn't even have room for a kettle to make coffee or tea though.

Lovely hotel great rates

This quiet hotel is only two #10 tram stops from the airport so very convenient but much less expensive than the airport hotels. Rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. #10 tram is just outside the hotel and wil take you downtown to the shopping areas and Old Zurich

Disappointing

Loud, temperature gauge didn’t work and needed to open window. People outside talking all night plus close vicinity to airport resulted in noisiest hotel room we’ve ever stayed in.

Good for over night stay

The hotel is located very closed to the airport with only 5 mins of tram journey and just 15 mins from the city. The check in was smooth and the stay was really wonderful.

Nice staff and great location with lightrail

Very enjoyable stay in a comfortable and quiet setting. Very easy access to downtown Zurich via tram (barely a 2 minute walk from the hotel). A very good place for travellers on a budget as well as looking for a place away from the hustle and bustle of downtown but that you can get to easily.

My Room was super tiny and not worth the price. No amenities.

Cheap and convenient place to stay if you need to catch a flight at the airport. Not many amenities besides the 24/7 vending machines if you need a snack at 1 AM. The room was comfortable but don't expect a full bathroom, even so I was OK with it. The place is convenient for getting the flight at the next day since the train station was literally in front of the hotel.

It was absolutely amazing and the staff was great would come back again and again.

This Ibis Budget is really practical and efficient, it’s near the airport, walking distance to the tram stop, the staff is friendly and helpful, we enjoyed our stay here for 2 nights. If you just need a place to sleep after a long day of flight or after a long day of sightseeing, then this place is perfect! Their room is quite small but we have what we needed for our stay: bed, toilet, sink, and standing shower. No microwave or fridge in the room, and no fitness center in the lobby since it is a budget hotel. In the lobby though, they have laundry area, you pay a couple of Swiss francs for both wash and dry. They also offer a storage to store our luggages after we checked out our room since we went to sightsee the city some more :) My husband, son and I enjoyed our stay here. Thank you!

Neat and clean. Near the tram stop.

This hotel is fine. Perfect for 4 hours of sleep, you likely won't get more than that. It's on a busy road, so you can't leave the windows open. Luckily the airport closes for a few hours because the hotel is situated beside the runway. It is basically an upscale hostel, but it was comfortable and clean.

Very close to Zurich airport. Small rooms but clean. A/C almost not functional, have to open windows then you hear the planes passing by. Breakfast was nice. Good for one night.

Good property clean beds and room. Easy and quick check in, staff at check in very nice and friendly. The property seems new and good the only problem is how the toilet and shower are separated with the sink separate as well and toilet not having locks.

Value Hotel

This is a functional no frills hotel. It’s a great value offering but don’t expect a lot. It is right next to a light rail station and only a 20 minute drive away from the old city.

I liked closeness to airport and tram station

Pleasantly surprised when I spent one night here prior to flying out of ZRH. Room was larger than expected (although still very small for US standards). Room was functional and very clean. Very easy to get to and from airport within 5 minuts on local tram a few steps from hotel. Great budget hotel for travelers who want to be right by airport.

Clean. Well located. Nothing is wrong with the hotel except it is quite overpriced for what it is but it seems to be Zurich’s norm.

The bed was horribly uncomfortable. The windows don't open all the way so it gets hot very fast in the rooms, ac doesn't do anything. The lights flicker all night, we changed rooms and it seems to do this in every room. The airport is very close so the airplane noise is super loud. Spend the extra 100 on a decent hotel, this place is not worth staying at for any amount of time. Staff were helpful and nice, the hotel itself is horrible.

This location is very convenient to the Zurich airport for flight and train. It is 2 stops by tram from the airport. The rooms are small but very nicely done and very purposeful. Family and I stayed for 3 nights and found it very convenient.

We just used this hotel to stay in prior to a flight from Zurich Airport. For the purpose, it was really good! Quiet, clean, and reasonably priced in comparison to other places in Zurich. There’s quick access to the Airport train station via tram or bus.

Everything is okay, just very limited. No refrigerator, the room is not spacious. But it's worthed for the money. You have to buy for parking, thou (20 CHF)

The ibis hotel i have seen

Clean and close to airport. However everything, including this hotel is unusually expensive for services compared to US. Does have washing machines and driers which were helpful. Rooms are not fancy, but adequate.

Ideal for the airport . 1-2 stops on the tram so it’s very easy to get to after a late flight. Basic hotel and rooms. You get what you pay for. Good selection of drinks & snacks to purchase in the reception. Useful as there isn’t anything really around the hotel

Small room and bathroom, but all clean and close to the airport, which was a plus. Big people won’t fit in the shower cabin. Tiny space. Ok for a quick stop while in transit.

It was clean and very close to the airport. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was bigger than other Ibis we’ve seen and was a good configuration. Make sure you read their location directions carefully. We assumed the airport train station would be the train to take but it isn’t. It’s a 30-40 minute train mistake so we ended up using a taxi from the airport. The tram from the hotel to the airport seemed easy, but we had the hotel call a taxi, which they were happy to do.

Property was basic and very close to the tram to the the airport. It was great for an early flight

It's ok, certainly close to the airport. Breakfast was convenient and available early. Room was pretty spartan, and though it advertises AC, that's not available unless it's hot outside. We could turn on fan, but only way to cool down was to open window which made it ear-splitting loud when planes landed and took off.

Quite close to the airport and the metro trains so it's convinient. Tenants have access to do laundry as well (washing machine / dryer). Only drawback in my opinion is that tenants dont' have access to a microwave after hours so if you want to heat up your food, or buy one of the packaged dinners they sell onsite - you won't be able to heat it.

Very convenient to access the airport. The tram stop is less than 100 meters away.

How close it was to the airport and the transportation to the airport

Read the fine print, “breakfast available” does not mean “breakfast included”. We woke up expecting breakfast to be included in pricing, until the staff asked for our meal ticket. We left and ate breakfast elsewhere; there was no hot food being served.

Pillows were very tiny and Could improve on it

Simple clean room. Very close to airport and right off the tram stop. Very good for a night after a long flight or the night before a flight.

Really tiny rooms with no A/C . Asked for extra pillows and fan but did t have it . I will never recommend this hotel .

Breakfast is fantastic. Very clean. Convenience to the airport, and public transportation right outside are a huge plus. Some of the Staff but not all of them were rude when I asked questions. They gave condescending responses. Ventilation is a prob. There is no below certain temp which is understandable. But there is no fans provided even for extra charge. When you leave the windows open it’s too noisy.

Rooms are pretty small then rest of the Ibis which i stayed previously. House keeping is very good, reception needs bit of attention towards customer service. I can understand that, it can be challenging for reception when they get large group check-in. Overall the place is good and quite close to zurich HB or Central.

Convenient is the main reason to stay at this no frills hotel. The woman who checked me in was extremely abrupt and unfriendly. She treated my simple and limited questions like a huge imposition on her time. I’m not sure what else she was there for? Anyway, being that that was my first impression to the hotel it did sour my taste a bit.

Expect a Budget Hotel

The Ibis Budget is exactly what it sounds like—a budget hotel in a big city near the airport. This means it’s great if you want somewhere cheap to stay before or after flying in or out of Zurich International. The tram stops a couple hundred feet from the entrance and comes by regularly, so airport access is excellent. It is, however, a budget hotel. We had a family room for 3 with a bunk and a queen bed; we got that, an overly exposed shower, and a toilet area that doesn’t have a locking door. The biggest oddity is the shower having frosted glass but also being located directly opposite a large mirror, meaning someone in bed can basically see someone showering (this was the family room). Otherwise, the staff was friendly, they have a fair selection of quick food in their vending machines, and it wasn’t unclean.

This hotel was just right for what we were looking for (a step up from a hostel with a private bathroom and clean comfortable beds.) We were looking for something fairly inexpensive and close to the airport as we weren’t planning to stay long. After a long day of travel we needed a comfortable, clean and convenient place to rest for then night. Breakfast the next morning was just right. Would stay here again!

New building

The rooms are VERY small. And the shower is in the same room as the beds - there is ZERO privacy when showering. The tram starts its run the airport at 4:55am so if you have to be at the airport sooner - you have to take a taxi. The staff ordered the taxis - which was very helpful.

Excellent hotel in a very convenient location being so close to Zurich Airport. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The room was in excellent condition, and although compact, it proved very usable. Thanks for your hospitality!

Convenienty located near the airport

Good place for spending the night before taking a flight out of the Zurich airport. Conveniently located near public transport (tram) and close to the airport (ca. 10-15 min), while not noisy. Relatively close to downtown Zurich (ca. 30 min). Sink and shower a bit small, bed was comfortable, room was clean but a bit small and nothing special. Reasonable price for what it is - a clean and convenient budget hotel.

Staff members were very nice. I arrived early and they found me a room that was available 5 hours before check in. Tram is right outside the hotel which is very convenient.

From airport to the hotel needs shuttle. Parking CHF 20 per day.

Property is fine, but the message that they give is wrong, i had booked this place for a wong date by mistake, inpite of booking for 2nd of july i booked for 2nd of August, but then i did another booking for the 2nd of july to be on a safer side when i reach there, and checked at the reception desk, the guy on the reception agreed that i can get a refund for 2nd of August, but now i have got an email that i cannot get a refund for the 2nd of August, i tried getting in touch with expedia to let them know, they were not helpful. If i knew i would not get a refund, i would not not checked in on july 2nd, would hove waited to come on 2nd August, i feel this is not fair on their path not to give a refund for the date. I am very upset and never again use expedia for any booking in the future.

A bit misleading about AC and Breakfast

There are a few things that feel a bit misleading about this hotel. #1, AirConditioning — they have it…. But there’s a sign that says “if it’s under 75 degrees, open your window.” That’s your AC. Which isn’t actual AC. Especially that near an airport where it’s super loud. #2 breakfast. Here’s the deal, you can choose whether breakfast is included in your rate or not. I get it. But when you arrive, the hotel is literally painted with information about their breakfast. So you’re led to believe breakfast is included for everyone. Maybe it’s just us (my team of 20. So not just me personally) who thought that.. but we definitely had to ask or go back to our booking to remember. It’s just odd to paint your entire lobby in a way that makes you think is included. We definitely had folks go sit down for breakfast only to realize we hadn’t covered that and they’d need to pay 15 euros per person. (Not worth it in my opinion without eggs to order). Other than that, cute hotel and easy to get to. Though they did have a hard time finding my reservations.
