This property is located in prime beach front spot. The service was top notch! Clara was our favorite, she is a staff STAR!! Impeccably clean, great service from all the staff! Columbians are warm hearted people. What can I say about the delish cuisine? I love Cartagenas people, culture and divine dishes. Bravo! 🙌

I booked here after a snafu with another booking. Great choice and everything was beyond expectation.

Stead was fantastic. Rooms are good size. Two pools were closed, the one pool was overcrowded which I feel wasn’t fair to still charge full rates.

I loved everything! An amazing stay!

I arrived early by 12 pm but had to wait a very long time and genesis the reception attendant wasn’t much of help and made me and my girlfriend wait a long time. And the o ly reason why they decided to help was because I notified them it’s been a while and I keep seeing people arrive and head to their rooms and one more thing there wasn’t hot water and they didn’t notify us and there was also construction taking place.

Hotel was great, but why does the service need to call when the do not disturb button is on? It’s on for a reason!

Great views of the beach, next to a big shopping mall, had a good restaurant and breakfast place inside. The only caveat is I had to take 2 sets of elevators to get to the floor where my room was which was annoying.

Exceptional Hotel.

The checkin process was super slow. I was traveling with my wife and ask me to sign some companion or scorts policies. Very rude indeed. After the checkin we wen to the restaurant, our order takes 1.5 hours, they give us the dinner for free but the experience was very bad. The hotel is currently under renovation so they have just one pool for thousands of guess, plus all the noise, etc. There is mo business center or wet zone.

We have enjoyed the rooming suite for our family of four! The ocean view from the window was stunning in late December! The club food bar was great! The swimming pools inside the hotel were beautiful! Cross the street, you can swim in the ocean and walk on the beach. Very close to the old town of Cartagena, the treasure of the South America with rich culture, delicious foods. The hotel service was great!

The staff was friendly and attentive, however, the other guests were HORRIBLE. Incredibly rude, including their children. I would not stay again just because of the other people who stayed and were ill mannered guests.

Hyatt Regency is great

Great hotel and amazing location

Pros: Clean, modern guestrooms. Excellent infinity pools with great ocean views. Quick and easy to get an Uber. Friendly staff. And a specific shout-out to Jaider, a superb bartender. Cons: Three big issues. First, the breakfast buffet (about US$23) was hit or miss. For instance, on one day, they ran out of waffles. The next day they had plenty of waffles, but all were cold. The third day they were literally served partially frozen. Sometimes they would have glasses for juices, sometimes not. Sometimes it was easy to get coffee, sometimes not. Sometimes tables were cleared promptly, sometimes not. And so on. Unfortunately, you don't have any other convenient breakfast options than this. Second, the elevators are simply ridiculous. There are multiple banks of elevators, each of which allow you to access only certain floors. It was a constant puzzle to figure out which was which because they're not labeled well nor intuitive. For instance, the only way to get to the 12th floor is to go to floor 14 and walk down two flights of stairs. Third, service at the pools is painfully slow. They simply didn't have enough staff to meet the demand.

Excellent stay with small kids

Amazing experience start to finish. Everyone was so accommodating and all staff made the extra effort to greet us at every encounter. The kids club was an unexpected bonus and the woman in charge was amazing with my kids. They begged to go every day. The pools were beautiful as was the hotel. We booked one of the club rooms which allows access to the club lounge for breakfast and snacks all day. Because we have kids and I was nervous about them being loud in that setting I asked if we could have the general breakfast. Even though I was initially told I had to maintain that breakfast I received a nice letter under my door that evening explaining they’d be happy for us to join the general breakfast for our entire stay. We were delighted and just want to thank the entire staff for being flexible to the needs of families :). We’ll definitely be back.

Everything was excellent

Had to wait 30 mins before check in , very poor reception. I had a rental car and the security guy at the door was very and unprofessional. Definitely not worth the price with a poor service. As a regular traveller to Cartagena, I won’t book there again. Not recommand

The staff are amazing from check in to checkout the resort, the front desk staff are English speaking - very understanding and respectful. If there is an issue they will take it at heart, and solved it right away. This year I’ve been to Mexico Jamaica and Dominican Republic Staying at different resort but hands down this is the number destination for me. Everything was on point I will definitely book it again

Good: Direct access to the beach from hotel only steps away literally. 2 infinity pools 1 being adults only which was great to get away from the noise on the 2nd flr. Beautiful hotel amazing relaxation. Bad: House keeping never put fresh towels, ac unit is annoying and hard to figure out doesn’t have a button to lower the temp only to raise it

A Perfect Stay at Hyatt Regency Cartagena! My stay at the Hyatt was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and every staff member I encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely eager to help. The room was immaculate, well-appointed, and thoughtfully designed, offering everything I needed for a relaxing stay. It was fine , except the restaurant staff was chaotic, and service was difficult . I served myself coffee, even asking two wait staff. I started avoiding the public restaurants , and ordered room service.

Everything was a 10/10.

The property was just ok. Nothing special. The staff in general are very uptight; not really conducive to having a relaxing vacation. The way the elevators are arranged doesn’t make very much sense. Two different elevators just to go out. Two different elevators to eat. Food service hours aren’t very accommodating either.

My Stay at The Hyatt was Pleasant the Customer Service was excellent. I’d suggest staying in one of the Club rooms, it’s a higher floor in the Hotel with beautiful views it also gives you access to the club lounge for morning breakfast or afternoon snacks, Beer and Wine. It’s included with a Club room. The Hotel is located directly across the street from the beach. Several Bars and restaurants within the Hotel. I’d suggest getting around by Taxi. A Taxi is usually sitting right outside of the Hotel. The Hotel was clean, the room was quiet and clean and I felt safe. It’s a 15-20 from the Airport.

We had a nice stay. The hotel staff were very attentive and friendly. Special thanks to the lady at the front desk restaurant on 11th Floor, unfortunately forgot her name (starts with Y), she decorated our anniversary cake, and also Marcelo was very helpful. Nice place, friendly staff; we hope to visit again.

Its the top of the top end. Its expensive but worth it. Wonderful service and accommodations. Excellent location in Bocogrande. Near Centro and the port. Beaches also a short walk across the street.

The Hyatt Regency Cartagena was perfect for our first-time visit to Colombia. It was in the perfect location, convenient to everything. The property is well-kept and very clean. Nothing look old or worn. We had an ocean view room with double beds and it was spacious and the view was spectacular. The room came with USB outlets - always a plus and an indicator of how updated a property is. Our rate included complimentary breakfast and lounge access (light fare daily from 4pm - 6pm) and everything was delicious. The service was outstanding. Ibeth Vergara waited on us at breakfast on multiple mornings and she was just so kind and welcoming. I would definitely stay at the Hyatt if I visited again.

I love this hotel, it is the second I stay here and I can’t wait go back. I stayed in the residency area, it was so clean, the room was impeccable. Location is excellent because you are near the beach, the city center but not in the middle of the craziness. Perfect for solo, couples, friends or family trip.

2nd visit not worth it

The hotel refused to give the last day a refund despite the fact I understand the policy of the hotel. Usually, big chains have flexibility but I guess it was not the case of Marriott. I requested the cleaning service on Oct 19(Saturday) in the morning but when I came back at 4pm it was not done. I really had a great impression on my 1st visit in 2022 but I guess that was it. This is me 2nd time staying here but I guess I will stay in a different hotel next time.

The view from the pool is amazing. The staff is welcoming. The bar tenders at the bar next to the pool are awesome and attentive. Darwin was really nice and gave us suggestions about things to do. At the restaurant, during our buffet breakfast, Ibeth was very attentive and nice. She offered us coffee every morning during our stay and even remembered our names. Victor at the front desk made sure that I got a birthday cake on my birthday which he noticed on my ID at check in. Overall, the property is beautiful and the staff is great. I would definitely return.

Loved the bar and pool area, very conveniently located closed to the walled city and the breakfast food selection was great everyday of my stay. The staff is always friendly and extremely helpful!

Rooms are spacious with a great view from high floors

Property was beautiful and staff were wonderful. The only reason for giving 4/5 stars is that the hotel had some construction happening and there was constant drilling noise making it hard to relax and enjoy the outdoor space such as pool and bar area. The noise could also be heard in the Spa area.

I likethe location i have been to that hotel3 other times never had this happen took a shower and i got out not one tiwelaround no bathrobe

Great experience at the Hyatt the staff was very welcoming. Very secure with private taxi service right at the door. Nice pool overlooking the ocean. The restaurants offer a nice verity of food but you’re closely located to the walled city with plenty of restaurant selections

If I could give them 1000 stars, I would! They made my birthday trip perfect! They called me on the morning of my birthday and told me happy birthday, brought up a delicious waffle to my room, gifted a chocolate cake and chocolate covered strawberries for us! It was just all around beautiful. Everyone was so friendly! I did a massage at the spa and it was a 1000/10! The view was IMPECCABLE! It was just an all around great place. When I visit Cartagena again, I’ll make sure to stay here!

Property was great. People where amazing and its very close to everything. Less than 15 to 20 mins from all major stuff. Only thing i would recommend to change is adding umbrellas to the pool area. Never been in a resort where they was no umbrella to keep out from the blazing sun. Other than that Property was 9.5 out 10.
