We had a nice stay. My only issue with our room/property is that our rooms window was facing the interstate, so we often heard the brakes of semi trucks or loud vehicles late into the evening when we were trying to fall alseep. We always travel with ear plugs so that helped significantly. Otherwise the room was great, clean and the beds were very comfortable.

This hotel is nothing as expected. My wife and I have stayed in other Hyatt place in the US and had no complaints. But this one is really old, our room wasn’t welled cleaned, the breakfast was really bad (only coffe was good), and the bedroom had the noisiest AC in my life, half broken, the room is huge but the bathroom is so small that even closing the door is hard and uncomfortable. Stay in the holiday in next door if you are looking location and price.

I was surprised by the fee to check in early . $25.00 for 30 minutes early . Then it cost $30.00 to self park your car . We were checked into a handicap room without being told it was handicap . No instructions available to operate the television . Asked for extra sheet for sofa and was given a shower curtain . But the front desk was very nice about these events .

Accessible room wasn’t accessible at all for a wheelchair user. Sink in bedroom clogged Day one. Drainer in bar sink broke when I picked it up. Very outdated. Notes before check in weren’t read, as requested accessible accommodations weren’t made. Staff was nice.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about the staff at Hyatt Place. Dawneth, Isaiah and Mike were welcoming and all around wonderful. There was another awesome gentleman working (usually on Dawneth’s shift) who was also an absolute gem but I didn’t get his name. They all greeted us whenever they saw us come in and wanted to know how our day was. It was like coming back to family. We met family in the area and we would hang out on the patio or by the bar and even they commented how wonderful the staff was. Rooms were spacious and clean. Love the pool. I think it was heated. People left things in the hallway and housekeeping was quick to get it. Would absolutely stay here again.

Great experience! Our room felt like a little apartment and I loved how spacious it was! Staff was very helpful and nice! Loved that they had a bar downstairs open late at night. And the best part, complimentary breakfast every morning! Definitely will return with this hotel!

Great property to stay at if you want to visit universal studios, only 20min walk or you can catch a shuttle. About a 10 min walk to factory outlet with good shopping, Starbucks and a great restaurant call Caribbean breeze!

Have to pay for parking at the hotel

Don’t understand having to pay extra for parking at a hotel I already paid to stay at. Very usual!

What made our stay so great was the staff here, it was my partner’s birthday on the day of arrival and they’d provided a thoughtful welcome package and a handwritten Birthday card which was very sweet. Taniefa was especially amazing, nothing was too much for her to ensure our stay was enjoyable. She went over and above on our last day when we had to request some extra time to check out due to my partner having developed a nasty migraine. It was not an issue and she allowed 2 extra hours at no charge so we could gather ourselves before leaving. The Hyatt is a good mid priced hotel, but the people that work here are the reason we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of visiting Universal Resort, not to mention that it was a short walk to City Walk (15mins) and they also provide complimentary shuttle for those who prefer not to walk. Very impressed!

Spacious room, convenient location to Universal. The room was clean, shower was good. Having breakfast included was a nice perk. It wasn’t the greatest breakfast but it was fine for a quick bite before heading to the parks. Friendly staff.

Unfortunately the bedrooms with two beds and a pull out couch were not that inviting and friendly for 4 adults. We also called from room service for an extra comforter and never got it. Overall it was good for some groups of people but not for all.

Nothing like being put in the last room by the exit door AND where they are doing construction! Constant door slamming, fumes from wallpaper and paint and carpet removal…oh and when you open your door you find a construction worker standing on a bucket doing work literally right outside your room. Terrible terrible experience. The bathrooms are so small you have to straddle the toilet to open and close the door. The tile in the shower is old and mildewed- water damage outside the shower. Mildew smell when you enter the room is inviting as well. Worst part of our trip.

I liked everything about the room it was newly refurbished with white stone counter tops in kitchen and bathroom. I had a two queen beds with sleep sofa and large LED TV. I loved the new glass see through refrigerator which fit all my food during Hurricane Milton. It was very clean. The only complaint I have and its pure personal preference the bathroom sink water comes out like a shower head and water splashes the surrounding area. I would most definitely stay here again.

So close to Universal

Kadeem, who worked the evening shift, was absolutely fantastic! It felt like we knew him already, like an old friend welcoming us in. He gave us the lowdown on the best restaurants and helped make our visit very comfortable. The rooms were great, and the price was excellent for being so close to Universal Studios. We stayed in the double upper-floor room, which had a kitchen, office, living area, and comfortable beds.

Breakfast could have used variety/more options. Staff was friendly!

Great except breakfast

Great stay as always, the only thing this time the breakfast was not like it normally was. Hard boiled eggs were singed and not edible each morning (3) The tortilla shells were brittle and dry I saw several people throwing them out too like me. Scrambled eggs were dry and very over cooked. Missed the great breakfast that we always get here!

Second Time Gets Better

Its was ok. But I was disappointed that they did not have daily room cleaning. It happens only once in 3 days. And they dont mention this at checkin. This is not convenient when travelling with kids. Not what I expected from Hyatt.

We had a situation with cleaning our bed. We were itchy after the first night, so we reported to the lobby.

The basic function of a hotel is to provide a comfortable and safe place to sleep. This hotel failed to meet this basic need. The bed in this hotel fell apart within 5 minutes of getting into it and the bottom sheet came undone. This left you sleeping on the uncovered mattress that can never be cleaned properly from previous guests. It is not the room staffs' fault as the bottom sheet was not fitted and completed too small to be able to be tucked in properly. This issue made the stay tiresome, uncomfortable and unhygienic.

Rooms were great, service was fantastic especially issah, the night manager and the day man keenah??? Breakfast was amazing and included.transoprtation to universal was easy and the driver Rodney?? Was great. We will return

You have to pay parking and the bathroom was too small. You had to move to a corner to close the door.

We stayed in this hotel for 8 nights, The entire team of receptionists was great. They were helpful in all the ways possible. Breakfast was good too, Would highly recommend for a family on vacation !!

My family and I stayed for 7 days and we had no issues at all. Breakfast is okay. We would like to thank the front desk staff, ISAIAH (I hope I spelled his name correctly). He is friendly, helpful, accommodating, always smiling.

Front desk is amazing

We booked the hotel for 5 days. They do not clean the room each day. They clean every second day and even then the toilet and dishes was not cleaned. The bathrooms are not great. The restaurant on location is not the best. The breakfast is same each day. I will not recommend for the price that we paid.

Amazing staff

There were two nights during the start of our stay where we had gotten back after midnight. We had tried to get food from the bar area they have that is advertised as having a 24/7 limited menu but two staff members said the kitchen was already closed. When I tried to find out why and brought up that the limited menu is advertised as 24/7 they shut me down and said that was wrong it closes at midnight and argued with me without giving any sort of reasoning as to why it would be closed or falsely advertised. A couple of nights later we got back to the hotel before midnight and found out from another staff member that the kitchen does have a limited menu that is 24/7 and was all around very friendly. He did also tell us that on the nights where the other two members claimed the kitchen was closed there had been some minor renovations going on that made them unable to use it. I’m not sure if the renovations are true or not or it the very nice man was just trying to lessen the aggression and behavior of the other two rude staff members but either way it was appreciated. Everything else about our stay was wonderful and I wish I had gotten that very nice employees name because he genuinely made our stay much better with his amazing customer service. For any management that might read this the two staff members that were extremely rude were the same two staff members that checked us in on the night of August 20th.Over all I highly recommend that people stay here it was very nice.
