Conveniently placed to see and taste the best of Jerez
This hotel is in the city center, we could walk everywhere. The employees were very nice and competent in their jobs, I will be staying there again when I visit Jerez next time
Great place for couple days!
Very close to the train station. Also there are several Framenco restaurants in walking distance.
Easy walking to center. Our room had an internal window on a corridor and was extremely small. We coyldn't open the curtain as it was a corridor so it felt claustrophobic.
Love location and was quiet and safe. Rooftop overlooking square was lovely and hearty breakfast !
Breakfast could have been better but were adequate. Staff there were very good abd pleasant
Nice hotel
Very nice hotel in the center, nice design, clean, good breakfast. Only minus that the aircon is pointing on the beds and you cant change it so it blows directly on you…
Such a beautiful little hotel in the downtown of Jerez. Clean room, polite staff. There is also an amazing patio on the top floor to chill if you want.
I liked that this hotel was very quiet, a comfortable place, and that it's very close to everything, the train station is a 10 minute walk, there are walkable stores and restaurants nearby. The staff was very friendly, both girls, I forget their name, but they were very helpful.
Very nice hotel in Jerez
Great hotel location, close to plaza arenal, market, shops, cafes and restaurants. Rooms and hotel amenities are clean and reception ladies very kind and helpful. Delicious breakfast, worth the price and eggs prepared at your choice!!!
Lovely hotel. Very convenient location. Nice staff
YIT Hotel Casa Grande
A great hotel with loads of character. Our room was amazing with great views from our window seat. The location was close to Plaza Arenal and the old quarter.
Lovely old house converted into a hotel. Large rooms. Excellent individually cooked breakfast. Pleasant roof terrace.
Front desk lady was soo sweet . Place was clean and beautiful.
nice traditional hotel. Enjoyed our stay.
Nice hotel, great price, very clean, convenient to the train, and wonderful, friendly staff.
rooms very small & basic
Doing very loud work on the roof right above our room on both days of our stay starting at 8:00 am. Really disappointing.
Nice conversion from private residence to hotel. Good size room, comfortable beds. Wonderful shower. Great welcome. There was an odd smell of drains in the public areas. Some horrible air freshener was being used to mask this. There was some work going on in the hotel in the morning which was a bit noisy and wasn't pre-warned about.
El personal del hotel muy amable y servicial. El hotel está en una excelente localización. A 10 minutos caminando de las estaciones de tren y autobuses.
Excelent
Lovely place
We recommend this hotel
Excellent value for the money. Friendly and helpful staff. The wifi did not work very well in the room, but otherwise we had a very pleasant stay.
Great location, awesome water pressure. Lovely room.
Memorable location in Jerez
Just 10 minutes walk from bus/ train station on a pleasant square in the centre of town. Beautiful old building and very helpful staff. Free glass of sherry to enjoy in one of the sitting rooms or roof terrace.
great location, nice hotle with a friendly helpful staff
Beautiful hotel in a historical building. Lots of fancy common areas like a library, inner courtyard and terrace with view over town. My only criticism is that i could hear TV and then snoring from the next door
Lovely stately property in the heart of Jerez.
Lovely hotel
Lovely hotel and staff. The room was very clean and basic. My only issue was that our window opened onto the interior patio where all the guests can walk by so we had to keep it closed for privacy and sound the whole time.
I was very impressed by this small hotel. Our room was clean, quiet and the staff was very helpful. The location was very convenient and not having a 24 hour front desk did not hinder our comfort at all
Nice hotel
Nice hotel, close to tourist attractions. Fátima, the receptionist, is very pleasant and friendly.
Well located within walking distance of many excellent restaurants. We hada minor ceiling leak in the bathroom that was repaired quickly. This is a small hotel with a lot of charm in the older part of Jerez. The staff were very helpful, recommended restaurants and we were treated to a sample of sherry. It was a little difficult navigating to this hotel using GPS and I recommend making sure your route takes you to the front of the hotel.
Nice, clean, quiet boutique hotel with pleasant staff. Large room. Appreciated the upgrade on arrival and the complimentary drink. Nicely located about a 5 - 10 minutes walk to parking and livelier parts of town. Renovation / redecoration works were ongoing however it did not disturb our stay. Would definitely consider staying at YIT Casa Grande if we return to Jerez.
Very pretty , charming hotel on a pretty place , comfortable , the bathroom was small and possibly difficult for older or impaired people physically , have to be cautious … Overall a very nice boutique hotel with a lovely terrasse
Totally overpriced, old, below-average rooms. Price-value relationship is the worst.
Hotel YIT Casa Grande has excellent staff. They were very attentive and flexible. The house itself is like a museum. The rooftop is worth seeing, has views of the entire city. Location is perfect, in the very center of town, close to the train station, the Alcazar, the Cathedral and plenty of bar and restaurants.
Central location
Lovely hotel in a good central position. Breakfast was tasty and fresh. Beautiful old building and very friendly staff
This hotel is a good choice
The front desk staff is very helpful. The interior looks like a Moroccan riad. Nice breakfast selection.
It's a lovely former grand house, where we've stayed on three occasions. Excellent location in the city centre. Reception staff are very friendly. Drawbacks? Parking can be difficult, costing 1.55 Euros for two hours. There is no fridge in any of the rooms to my knowledge, and it would be a good gesture to provide a bottle of water in your room upon arrival, especially arriving in the evening after the long journey from Britain.
Casa Grande Hotel
Hotel is was in a nice area near lots of places to eat and very close to train station. For those Flamenco “aficionados”, hotel is about a 10 minute or less walk to the Villamarta theater.
Beautiful building, lovely terrace and great staff. A/C works great.
A beautiful little hotel in a great location for the the sights of the old town of Jerez. The hotel was immaculately clean and beautifully presented with quirky pieces of character furnishings. The rooftop terrace was lovely for a little r and r each late afternoon before heading out for dinner. The staff were all very lovely and breakfast was a pleasant, personal and unhurried affair with eggs and bacon cooked to order rather than lying in a fatty hot dish, and lovely fresh continental produce. Would recommend!
otel - well located.
A very comfortable hotel. We had a nice suite on the roof.It could have been cleaned a bit better - the bathroom floor was never cleaned. A lovely sunny room opening onto a nice roof terrace. Well located not far from the main attractions.
Nice Place
We really enjoyed our stay here. The main issue: no 24 hour staff on site. We didn't need the 24 hour staff on site, but would have had a bit more comfort with a staff member there in case of an emergency. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay, found the customer service great, and liked the rooftop patio. Beautiful place.
😊
Very nice place!
Ideal central location, personal service, period style decor and fantastic breakfast
Staff were helpful and friendly, Lijed the courtyard and rooftop, Good location.
The front of house staff were very helpful and friendly. It was a quiet hotel which was most welcome. There were quiet areas where we could sit and read and also a very nice roof terrace. The only downsides were the small double bed, the dark room (because there were no windows looking out onto the outside) and the plumbing was unfortunately noisy. Overall a lovely relaxing stay.
We really had a horrible time during our stay. First, We really had a hard time to find the hotel entrance. Secondly, about 3:00 in the early morning, my husband woke up due to itchiness from bed bug bites. The first time we could not figure out what kind of bug bites. He had 7 bites on his arm within close distance in two different directions. While We tried to figure out what kind of bites, I found a bug crawling up on the wall near the bed head. We took a video and photos and googled bed bug to compare. Then, We showed the actual bug and pictures to a hotel staff and asked her to change our room. However, there was no vacant room, so we had to stay in the same room. I was in panic and very upset. However, it was not her fault, so we all worked together to change whole bed sheets and sprayed all over and around bed at three o'clock in the morning. This was our third disappointment. Next morning, we reported that to a hotel morning staff showing a video and photos of the bug, but her response was that they never had that issue, so she said she did not know why it happened. It was a very indifferent and unprofessional response: neither apology, nor empathy. However, before we checked out this hotel, we reorganized all our luggages to separate items in one luggage that might have possibly exposed to the bug for our 6 more days travel. We traveled Spain for two weeks, but that was the first and only night we had an issue with bed bug bites.
Perfect stay in Jerez
Perfect hotel for a stay in Jerez. Limited parking space but available around the city. The breakfast service was very nice and great service. Felt like being at home. Wonderful personell.
Good position.. nice room..could walk everywhere but quiet. Helpful friendly staff... recommended
The property is located in a quiet Plaza of Jerez & within walking distance of the main shopping & restaurant amenities. The rooms are well appointed but a mini fridge is essential for guests and not offered. O
We were made to feel welcome from the start. The two young ladies that handle reception (only one on duty at a time) are both personable and knowledgeable. They quickly gauged our dining requirements and made some excellent recommendations - we ate very well! The hotel location could not be better - 10 minutes stroll to the rail station, 7 minutes to the main square with the majority of the tapas bars and restaurants nearby. There was a reasonable choice for breakfast, including cooked eggs if you must but the iniquitous coffee machine could have been better. Our bedroom was comfortable if a little basic but spotlessly clean, as was the public areas throughout.
A nice historic hotel
A one night stay at this historic hotel. The staff was very accommodating. We were on the second floor and there was an elevator which was helpful. Parking was a little challenging as we had to park in a public parking place. There were many places for tapas and drinks around the hotel in a short walking distance.
Lovely old building with original features. Room great, air con excellent. Loved the roof terrace. Reception staff very helpful and we enjoyed our complimentary drink.
Very classy space - lots of charm. Very comfortable rooms and friendly staff
Great location, very close to the bus station, nice place to stay. The rooftop area was simple - chairs, tables and a few lounges, great if you like a quiet space to relax as no one else used the area for the 3 nights we were there. The room was nice and clean, quite basic (no fridge or glass/cups, tea or coffee). We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, preferring to get out and try the local cafes (amazing churros at the cafe across from the bus station). I think in retrospect (given the heat) we would prob stay somewhere with a pool next time we visit. Overall for the price and location this hotel was a lovely base for us.
The hotel was in a excellent location.10 minutes walk from train 🚂 station 5 minutes from the centre of Jerez the welcome drink 🍷 was a nice
Amazing lovely staff.
A gem of a hotel.
A gem of a hotel. Clean, comfortable, good breakfast, helpful staff, and a lovely ambience. We arrived a day earlier than our booking but were quickly assured a room would be available. Thank you to all at Hotel Yit Casa Grande.
The staff were incredibly helpful, bending over backwards to make sure everything worked out for us.
As expected, good location, friendly and helpful staff. Nice room but very small bathroom with weird shower/bath.
Good position. Quiet. Garage parking for small cars .
The hotel was central with easy access to the old town and points of interest. Very clean traditional hotel and great breakfast.
Great for location, super clean and great value!
Amazing location, the staff were great especially Stefania and Fatima!
The air conditioning is connected to all of the other rooms so when someone else was cold, my AC turned off and heat turned on. When I asked for it to be fixed the very nice woman at reception tried to help, there was nothing to be done.
Great location, clean, good sized rooms. Poor breakfast, expensive parking, no little extras, so over-priced for what you get. Receptionist was rude when we arrived after a four hour journey - after beginning to check us in she decided to give long-winded directions to two other guests (who came after us). When my husband said we just wanted to go to the room she got all huffy, even though the other guest said he wasn’t in a hurry and was cool with us for the rest of the three day stay.
Quaint and interesting city
No facilities for making yourself a cup of tea Car parking a big big problem Staff on duty so pleasant and helpful Very good but slightly expensive Michelin type restaurant within 5 minutes walk Fascinating city to walk round Did not have enough time to try the Sherry tours
The location was perfect, an easy walk to tourist areas. Details on directions and activities were at times incomplete or unclear
Nice place in the city center Parking was very difficult or you could pay 20e a night to the hotel
Good location, pleasant interior, comfortable beds.
Needs a room service, it's own restaurant and breakfast available later than 10:30am.At New Year Jerez was a ghost town - so we needed our hotel to support us with facilities it does not have. I would never go to Jerez again at new year, however a higher standard of hotel would make it more bearable.
Short Break
Very enjoyable visit to Jerez. Great restaurants Enjoyed Sherry tasting
Excellent
Very attractive building, a hotel with character.
Two night stay. Beautiful old building in centre of city, easily walkable to all attractions. Staff very helpful. Free welcome drink in bar: white wine/beer/soft drink. Luggage storage after checkout. Our room was on roof terrace, it was small & bed was next to the wall. Mattress was very firm. Bathroom was spacious, great shower.
Nice hotel location and hotel was charming, but our room (#4) was located on the second level overlooking a nosy plaza. If you don’t mind the nosy vehicles and late evening gathering around the plaza and go to bed after 1 AM, then the room is perfect as long as you also rise early. Next time should I stay st this hotel, I would ask for a room to the rear of the hotel AWAY from the plaza. We could have been alerted of possible noise traffic on the plaza.
Very pleasant hotel in the centre of Jerez close to all sights, bars and restaurants. Tastefully decorated with very friendly and helpful staff. The entire hotel is kept spotlessly clean and has very comfortable lounge/bar areas to relax in
GREAT LOCATION IN THE HISTORICAL CENTER OF JEREZ. HOTEL HAS A NICE FEEL TO IT, CLEAN AND PROFESSIONAL
Nice Spanish hotel in the center of Jerez
This is a nice local-style hotel in the centre of Jerez. Good breakfast if a little pricey at 12 Euros. You get eggs plus the usual continental buffet. Smallish room with a lack of clothing storage for a weeks stay. Nice roof terrace. Comfortable bed and bathroom. Very helpful staff who will book visits and train tickets. They have on-street parking at 10 Euros per day - useful in the center of town. Would use it again.
Exceptional
All was fabulous. Welcome alcoholic drink, very informative at reception
Pleasant stay
Hotel very pleasant and in a good position. Breakfast was over priced, so we ate out - lots of places available.
Decent hotel in the middle of town that offers easy access to all that Jerez offers
nice hotel, friendly staff
Lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Nice room right in the centre of town.
worth staying at
Great Hotel and staff
Short break
We had a great stay and the hotel is excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful providing a lot of information on the area and where to go and what to see. We would certainly recommend this hotel. Our only downside was the cost of breakfast. We had not included this in our stay but ate in the hotel the first morning. The breakfast was nice but basically a fairly standard buffet with the option of cooked eggs which we didnt have. 28 euros for the two of us felt very steep for what we had. However, this was only a small thing and partly our fault for not checking before. We would definitely go back.
Great hotel in a great central position.
Fantastic holiday in Jerez. Thanks to Lola for all her recommendations, we saw the best flamenco and sights.
Friendly helpful staff who provided some great recommendations for Jerez. The hotel is centrally located & not too far from the train & and bus station. The one downside is some rooms have internal windows so not very private if you have the window or blinds open.
We traveled to Jerez to go to the Horse Fair. The staff at the hotel were very helpful, especially Julie. They booked local shows for us and even provided a silk rose for my hair and fan for the Ferria ! We loved the location and ambiance of the Spanish architecture. We would highly recommend this hotel.
Classic hotel good location in old part of city
This was a return visit to the Casa Grande for the Feria de Caballo. The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere in beautiful surroundings. The staff go above and beyond to help ordering taxis etc.We feel at home here and wouldn't hesitate torecommend it.Can't wait to return next year.
Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. Exceeded my expectations. Would definitely stay here again. Great location as well. We were able to walk to all the main sights and the train station easily.
Lovely small hotel with friendly staff.
Neat hotel
We only stayed one night and booked 2 rooms because we were traveling with 2 children and each room could only accommodate 2 people (by hotel rules) ... both rooms were great! I liked that each room was unique. Bathrooms were very nice as well. Staff was attentive and helpful and we enjoyed the welcome drink on the roof terrace. Would definitely stay here if in Jerez, no question. Charming hotel.
Quiet location in a pretty square
Casa Grande is in a good location on the edge of town and 10 mins walk to the station if you want to go to Cadiz for the day. Some great restaurants are within 15 mins walk away and the local cafe provides good take-away coffee. Staff were very helpful and we were able to move rooms on arrival to one more suited to our needs. We appreciated the bathroom heater, as it was sometimes cool at night. We used the roof terrace on two afternoons after exploring Jerez.
Jerez
Great character property in good central location, friendly & efficient staff. Nice roof terrace overlooking the square. Room a little bit small but fine for a couple of nights.
I thought that this was a very quaint hotel, loved it, staff friendly, Lila was amazingly helpful and couldn’t believe how much great advise she gave us as it was my first trip to Europe. I have to say something about the dining area though. The marble ‘lip’ in the floor was the most treacherous thing ever. I fell very hard on the marble floor and think now that I am almost home will immediately be at the doctors to see if I have broken a bone in my knee cap. We stayed 5 days and I experienced 3 other guests fall on this part of the floor. If you don’t have it fixed and slope it or something I’m thinking someone might sue you and I would say they are completely within their rights.
Fabulous hotel
Lovely centrally located hotel with very helpful staff, always willing to offer advice regarding sightseeing etc. Very clean, comfortable rooms at a reasonable rate - would definitely recommend it.
Within easy distance of all the places of interest
The staff were extremely helpful and directed us to all the best places to visit, book us taxis when we needed them .
Perfect Location
Our initial experience was coloured by the fact that on arrival it was pouring with rain, the square outside was being re-paved and we had to park our car some way away on the street meaning we had to drag our cases over cobbled roads. Our ‘standard’ room seemed small after the Marriott we had just left and there was no tea or coffee making facilities and only a very small TV with virtually no English speaking channels. Not an auspicious start you might think. However we warmed to the Casa Grande and would happily return. Unfortunately due to the inclement weather (early March) we were unable to experience the rooftop terrace. The hotel can provide a daily permit for street parking (€5.50 per day). Catering facilities are limited though a fine breakfast is available. Plan your visit to Jerez carefully to ensure you see the attractions that interest you (we missed the horse dressage as not available on our dates).
Great Casa Grande
The hotel was is a convenient location and it was beautiful. The room was clean and the breakfast was delicious. The staff was very friendly and it was a pleasure being there. We will definitely go back and certainly recommend it.
