This place was simply amazing and we’re definitely going to return one day!
For the price, I recommended for people who will take advantage of all parks. If you are not into extreme experiences, it might not be not be the best choice. However, it is the best hotel I had stayed.
Excellent location and amazing services with lots of entertainment..!! Food was great .! I’ll definitely keep coming back .!
Unorganized check in process. I received luggage 3 hours later
Everything at this hotel was excellent. Your room had everything you need except for clothes. They provided the traditional toiletries plus toothbrushes, shaving cream, and mouthwash, they had beer, soft drinks and filtered bottles of water in the refrigerator. They had Mexican treats and they had a small hand made baskets with candy on your bed every evening. I can't say anything bad about the property except they need a more detailed map and activities guide. They tell you to download the app. The app rarely works. My husband finally got on the app and it would have been very nice to have. In that respect we were kind of lost. The parks were all awesome. We went in the end of February and there were no lines. I strongly recommend this resort.
It’s good but not worth the price imo
The entire property is beautiful! I want go back , highly recommended !
The property is beautiful and clean ! Was my second time and i will going again! The staff is amazing specially me and my husband wants to thanks Mr Javier who made our romantic dinner spectacular and memorable , he is unique and very kind . Thank to Xcaret Group !
Only a couple of things I would suggest, the wifi and cell reception is a bit spotty outside of the room and to add some other snacks like chicken wings, nachos and Mac and cheese to the late night room service menu. Besides that it’s amazing here and we can’t wait to come back!
It is completely built around the natural environment of the jungle. The property is integrated into the environment around it with a beautiful beach, lagoon, cliffs and all the man made parts blend beautifully with everything else. It was gorgeous, breathtaking views and unforgettable sights.
.
It was a lovely vacation. The fact that the park was close by and available by bus made it very accessible. Arte parks are probably some of the best amusement parks I’ve gone to. I will definitely be returning with my family.
Xcaret Arté all in all AMAZING
Great place for a great vacation
The staff, the atmosphere, the rooftop pools, the ocean. Top notch.
So much food!! A few minor details on property (our bathroom door wouldn't close all the way & an area of deferred maintenance on the ceiling in the main area), but overall was great. Our 2nd trip there & already talking about our 3rd. Only wish they had an option to not have admission to the parks. Senior citizens here, one with a scooter that is not accessible to most parks.
Excellent service
.
Wonderful
I loved the hotel, parks, service almost everything The reason I am giving 3 stars is because I booked a trip to Xel Ha park from the hotel (Xcaret arte), I did everything through the phone because through email was taking forever, I used the wish list paper as a reference It said Xel Ha 9:20 am, got to the bus stop and no bus, I asked around and it was at 9:00 am I talked to concierge and I basically was told that it wasn’t their problem, that I was supposed to use the email but I told her that nobody told me that and I showed her the paper where clearly said 9:20 and she just ignored what I said I asked if I still had to pay the no show fee for three people even though it was not my fault and I was told that I had two choices, either I paid the fee or get a taxi ($60 dollars for the taxi) I paid the taxi and went to Xel Ha upset of course I was sad and upset because I already talked to people that were members and was thinking of maybe becoming a member but how can I become a member when they don’t take responsibility for their mistakes Three workers asked me how was my experience and I told them what happened and they just ignored what I just told them, even at checkout after I told him what happened, he still wanted to charge me, I asked him if he wanted to see photos, other members said than that had happened to them too So sad, everything is amazing (I still have the paper if anyone would like to see it)
5th visit to the resort, 3rd visit in the past 6 months as I have always loved the resort. This trip it was clear that things are changing. Huge focus on large corporate events and less focus on personalized care. Some restaurants were out of food items, didn’t have certain alcohol brands or mixers, previously made dining reservations were ignored or modified to accommodate the larger corporate events and parties. Staff seemed overwhelmed which is unfortunate. Other items that were noticeable: Cayuco had king crab and stone crab on previous visits, they now only offered fish and shrimp. Arenal has a lobster roll and that is now a shrimp roll. Included wine list is very narrow in comparison to the grand velas or Fairmont Mayakoba, which are also five diamond resorts. Very disappointed to see the changes as they move towards a more convention focused resort rather than a guest focused mindset. You can see the cost cutting on the food and beverage side as well.
Above average with key being access to parks.
This hotel is on the high end of cost versus other all-inclusive mainly due to the access to the Xcaret family of parks. That is one of the biggest advantages of this hotel. Otherwise it is a high end resort similar to other options in the market. The beach is nothing to speak of but the inland river with rock walla and more secluded sandy inlets makes up for no real beach. Restaurants range from excellent to average with a few standouts. Lots of walking on this resort but you quickly learn the short cuts to the key areas. Limited food options around the pools but drink service is outstanding.
Gorgeous hotel, like no other hôtel I have stayed out. The pure beauty of the resort makes you not want to leave
Absolutely stunning resort! Love that excusions and such are included. The staff is so helpful and have no problem dropping what they are doing to answer a question or help you find your way (our Butlers David and Frank were AMAZING)! Even though the resort is massive not once did we feel crowded. So many options for food and drinks. Thank you Hotel xcaret Arte for a perfect vacation!
Excellent property
My experience at XCaret Arte was great for the most part. Most of the food was really good, however the best meals were really made during dinner times. The swim up rooms - the water is always really cold - unless you are going during the hottest time of the year, it's going to be cold. The first night I got there, my room at Casa De Pyramide actually flooded, and it took staff around 3 hours to help me find a new room and get help (it was past Midnight before we got help). On top of that one of the staff looked annoyed and insinuated we might have been the reason it flooded, when my partner and had just arrived, left our bags, and went to grab dinner. We didn't hang out at the room. Overall this really made me dissapointed because the staff didn't even try to give us compensation in any way for our troubles. So be careful, overall the night staff is not as friendly as day time staff. Aside from that first bad night, thankfully the rest of the trip was great. I would come back but the lack of help I got the first night makes me hesitant since it is a fairly expensive stay. The XCaret Parks were a 5/5 though, I specifically loved doing the Xenotes Activity - Martin was a fantastic guide and that was a very memorable experience. I would definitely do the park activities again in the future.
5th visit to the property and every time it meets our expectations
Beautiful property, great food, very clean and staff very helpful. Make sure you book dinner reservations well in advance. Kayaks need reservations too. It was week worth the extra fee to have park access with shuttles at no addt fee. I feel like i stayed at a great resort and did not have the hassle if third party tour guides to the park. I could comr and go as i pleased. Also, the hardest part was deciding to go to parks or stay in resort, both were beautiful, clean and fun.
its beautiful
Excelente hotel, la comida es deliciosa y la atención excepcional. Todas las amenidades que te ofrecen te hacen sentir muy especial.
Hard to get reservations. People at the hostess desks were very rude for all inclusive food. Had cigarette buds on our patio. Found a pubic hair in our tub. Hard to figure the place around not enough clear signs and even some employees weren’t able to clearly direct us. Food was pretty good though. Extreme upselling on their timeshare thing. Spa was very nice but not included.
The best
Loved the hotel, the food, the staff, the affiliated properties will be back next year.
Food was not good..Drinks badly prepared
This was my fourth visit at Xcaret hotel unfortunately I was very disappointed this time I was trying to be understanding because I know it’s the holidays and they are busy but when paying top dollar to stay at a hotel like this you shouldn’t have to go your whole stay without hot water and a broken drain in the shower and even we paid 400$ extra to switch rooms and we still had no hot water. We were also promised at check in that our new room would be ready for us at 9 am so we got our stuff out and went to go switch rooms only to find out that it wasn’t going to be ready until 3pm. I had to fight with them to get the old room back so we had somewhere to be until 3pm for the new room. Then they took over an hour and a half to bring back the luggage to the old room. To get a reservation at any restaurant was impossible for our short stay and I didn’t know you can make them months in advance so if your going during a busy time make them ahead of time or don’t waist your time because we didn’t get to eat at any of the good restaurants. They told us we are out of luck and even if we got on the waitlist it’s under a 50/50 chance of getting in.. the customer service was lacking probably from being so busy which is disappointing because I loved this hotel in the past. The food was disappointing and tasted old… kibi kibi was the only one that was good that we got to go to on the last day we were there. The hotel itself is breathtaking and the access to the parks is amazing!
Everything was amazing except for the mix up with the reservations. it is very hard to book for reservations to begin with and when we got to the restaurant, they told us that we did not have a reservation. It ended up being a mix up on their part but it was a downer for sure.
It was great the food is not the best
It’s ok expensive but ok
This is the perfect resort. I cannot wait to be back!
Please stop pushing the Xcaret 2 meeting so much or please take the "no" as an answer. At one point we were trying to go to dinner but got held up for 5-10 minutes by a staff member trying to get us to go to the meeting. It's great you want to promote and it's great you offered a massage coupon in return for our precious time. But you also wasted some of our time trying to get us to the meeting after we said no.
Great place, food was great for all inclusive. Drinks were very watered down and the same drinks were absolutely inconsistent between the areas. Parks and spa were amazing and had a great time.
The resort itself is beautiful. The transportation is. Breeze. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The only issue was food was inconsistent. Room service was great one time and ok another. Also the app for the parks did not work.
Love it
Had awesome time, went on many excursions - on the xenotes excursion the guide Gordo made my experience complete amazement!!!
100/10 resort! Best honeymoon ever
Rooms and grounds are well thought out
Very good hotel
I'll preface this with saying this is the 2nd time I've stayed at this resort and I honestly don't know what happened... Let's start off by how they couldn't even give us the correct room multiple times so we paid for something more that we didnt get. We didn't even get what we paid for. The room cleaning staff is really nice and everyone is the restaurants are great. Out of the 10 people we were travelling with only 3 were left able to eat since the rest of us got food poisoning during the trip. What is the point of paying thousands just to be kept to your room because you're vomiting. I wouldnt trust the food here at all and I wont be staying here again. There are other resorts and you can just pay for the park access. Dont think its worth it.
Great place
Amazing
The room had a dead cockroach right at the entrance by our door. Room service didn’t go for one day. The hotel was also aware that it was our honeymoon trip and nothing special was done. I expected more based on the price we paid.
We loved the property. Only thing was some parts were being worked on and not accessible on certain days when we were exploring. There was an island across a bridge but construction crews were fixing something. We were able to get access a few days later though.
El personal muy atento y amable, el mejor hotel all inclusive, perfecto para parejas
Everything
100% recommend
Best vacation ever, being easier proof camera or waterproof case for your electronics in case you want to bring them with you too the parks
No consideration about room flexibility for the price we paid, we went for our anniversary and didn’t get a king size bed they give us two queen size bed, also they desactives our guest keys at 11:20 and let us out of our room waiting 25 min waiting for someone to open the door so don’t give us the chance even to take a shower before our fly because we had a taxi waiting for us at 11:50
.
Insanely beautiful! The staff was incredible every time we had a question or doubt. Will be returning!
Exlente lugar bello buena atencion rica comida y muy bueno para relax y disfrutar mexico
Best all inclusive I have ever stayed. The food was spectacular
Every thing was beautiful. The parks are fun. Food options were great
Lovely place
The all fun inclusive was amazing. As stress free as a vacation can get. Food was amazing.
First of all, I just want to say that every staff member here was great. We had two butlers assigned to our room, not including housekeeping and the person that restocks our fridge and snacks. We kept in touch with our two butlers by the Whatsup app. Any questions or needs that came up we just sent a text and one of our butlers would take care of everything. We missed a few of the activities and dinners we scheduled because we overbooked and had too many things to do. The staff kindly waived all of our cancellation fees even though we didn't give much notice. Also, the place is beautiful along with all of the parks too. We went to Xcarte, Xel Hal, Xplorer and Xsenses. We loved them all! The food at all of the restaurants was delicious. The actives and shows were all a lot of fun too. I'm already planning a trip back and it hasn't even been 2 months yet!
The property has everything I need, fun, entertainment, delicious food, and security in its facilities.
Okay! Expected more for the price.
Everything was great except for the fact that I got food poisoning and spent 2 whole days without being able to get out of bed so I wasted half my trip. If I had to guess, I got it from one of the parks. That’s where the food looked the most questionable. Other than that the hotel was great.
Excellent service. We got upgraded to a presidential suite with no charge
Best Resort, airport shuttle, a lot of great entertainment on the property, shuttles to the parks. Good food.
the scenery was the best part
I love the view
I felt safe the food was absolutely amazing for an all inclusive definitely an experience even with it raining the whole time
It’s a great place with good food.
Everything was good until we sat for a “90 minute “ that turned into a 3 hour time share presentation where the final boss got upset and was rude because we didn’t want to buy a timeshare
I loved everything
The amenity is beautiful and the service is top notch. we will be back.
Xcarat is beautiful, clean, safe and one stop shop. We had a great time this around . Got upgraded with a swim up pool , so that was a plus. Food is delicious and convenient. Love it , will be coming back soon
Love this resort! Spent my honeymoon here and it was great! My only complaint was not knowing which room you’ll truly get until you arrive. We booked a king bed but ended up with 2 queen beds that weren’t as comfy as I’d expect. Only other complaint was making reservations. We stayed 10 days and the reservations were a hassle. You had to make them WAY in advance and we ended up with times that were inconvenient based on the park/bus schedule. Other than that I’d without a doubt stay again! Drinks, food, activities so amazing! 10 days flew by
Excellent all atound
Hotel is amazing, accommodations are excellent Service is great
Beautiful place
Una de nuestras mejores vacaciones sin duda lo mejor en todo comida restaurantes albercas areas y las habitaciones son increíbles.
I love how they make you feel welcome since day one. They treat you unbelievably well. Food excellent, variety of selections for each preference. I stayed in Xcaret Arte, for those that rather be on a place free of children, this is your spot. Definitely coming back here. Thank you to Roberto Martinez, one of the staff member, he was very helpful and friendly.
Una maravilla de Hotel con excelente logistica y su staff muy pero muy amable y las habitaciones estan hermosas
I don’t have a words do describe how incredibly the place is. Just outstanding place. Go there you never regret and you want go back.
The food isn’t good
Great hotel
The restaurants and bars at the resort exceeded my expectations with their high-quality ingredients. Every dish was fresh and bursting with flavor. The variety of options available was impressive, catering to all tastes and preferences. With everything conveniently located within the resort, it made for an incredibly enjoyable and hassle-free experience. Overall, I had a fantastic time and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great culinary experience.
Everything
Excellent propriety very safe . All worker very professional and kind. Very happy with every experience
Like everything
XCARET DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH. After testing positive for COVID we tried to communicate with XCaret and Expedia to identify a best path forward. This was supposed to be our honeymoon, and they were not understanding at all. After we asked if we could simply get new dates instead of cancelling as we really still wanted to go, we were told they were going to ask the supervisor after we shared our records proving our illness. Further, my husband is susceptible to severe COVID, and we had no choice as we could not risk severe reactions abroad. Not only were we sick and struggling to make calls at the time, they didn't care. The refund was rejected although we asked for alternative dates as well. They would rather have people come with COVID than accommodate. This is unethical and just downright taking advantage of their customers. Not only are they money hungry -- I'm sure they have put other customers in this position, and I'm sure they have been given no choice but to go COVID positive or lose money (this is honeymoon funds from guests!!!) Who would want to go to this place knowing that they force COVID positive customers to show up. After making us wait for days for a response, they didn't allow for a conversation and simply rejected. The customer service has been infuriating as anyone you talk to simply say "they need to talk to a supervisor" and don't allow you to talk to anyone. DON'T GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT COVID.
Absolutely amazing facility! Made us feel welcome and at home and was just overall a great experience! Will definitely be visiting again!
Hotel refused to move my date or partially refund $900 I paid for one night. I would expect Expedia and the hotel be understanding of my medical emergency but no courtesy was extended whatsoever.
HIGHLY RECCOMEND. Everything exceeded my expectations!!
It was so beautiful !
Very nice and very big property. Great for any occasion or relaxation!
Beautiful property, very large area with lots of activities. The parks are included which makes the price very worth it.
Hotel Xcaret Arte – All Parks / All Fun Inclusive, Adults Only | Home in Playa del Carmen | Travala.com
The property is beautiful. We found getting around the property a bit challenging, although there are signs they often lead to dead ends. The staff is not exactly the most friendly compared to other resorts, not helpful unless sought out. Concierge, bell, front desk, spa, etc they were all oddly not friendly. The staff was very cold. Although catina workers were quite nice.Make dinner reservations far in advance or you will be eating in the catina, which is great, but we never got to break out our dinner clothes once. No light snacks around pools, so must leave to grab a bite to eat. The rooms were wonderful, the resort is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen, I would go back with less expectations of feeling like a welcomed guest. But just to enjoy the resort on my own with no staff support.
