Clean, modern and good area. We stayed there one night before catching a flight home. Good restaurants in walkable distance from the hotel.

Close to airport

No frills hotel. Didnt even have anyone at front desk. Had to call number on door to get code for door and code for locker to get key. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Close to airport and great for a layover stay in which i was using it for

Ironing room was helpful

Had an overnight stop over in Zurich. Was 3 minute cab ride from airport. Very clean and comfortable. Nice size room. Had a safe, mini fridge , TV. Coffe set in room and in lobby. Plan on staying there again.

For the price I paid, this hotel was an excellent choice. The staff was friendly. The location is very convenient for public transits, only a few minutes walk to both the tram and the bus stops. It takes 20 minutes train ride to downtown. Only 10 minutes bus ride to the airport. There are 4 grocery stores within walking distance. The room was clean and plenty of room for clothes. The only thing I was very unsatisfied was the thin walls between rooms. I was woken up before 3AM one night by the loud TV noise! There’s no staff onsite after 8pm. So I had to get dress and knocked on door next door to tell them to turn down the TV. I could also hear the singing of a lady from a different room.

A very nice hotel to stay at when arriving from the airport. Need to keep in mind a taxi is $25 one way. We selected to pay for breakfast. It was average.

Great option near the airport

Staff was friendly and room was clean. Liked how quiet it was and options for food close by.

They didn’t provide the room service. Nobody were to help me for check in. I asked for Pelow they refused to provide it.

Room was very clean. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Great location for travelers. The Kloten train station is only a few minutes' walk from the hotel. The bus stop is also only a few minutes' walk away in front of a shopping plaza. The 731 and 733 buses go directly to the airport departure terminal in less than 10 minutes. I found the bed to be uncomfortable with a hard mattress.

Convenient for early departing flight from Zürich, very easy bus to airport for 2.80CHF. Room was clean and quiet. Many dining options within safe walking distance. Arrived via train at Kloten station, very easy walk, even with luggage.

The hotel is close to restaurants, bakeries and super markets. The room was clean, clear and spacious.

The room and amenities were way better than I expected and really enjoyed the stay. I will definitely stay if around the same place.

A Welcome Place

Comfortable place to relax, with a restaurant attached. Just wish the room fan/air conditioning worked. Other then that, very clean, very friendly staff and very accommodating.

No airport shuttle. Taxi is about $25. No staff on arrival. Did not have an entry code from Expedia due to no internet on arrival. A guest let me in. Had to spend 15 minutes in a phone to get a code to get the room entry card. Grouchy, grumpy staff at breakfast. Should have stayed at the hotel in the airport. Will not come back to this place.

We spent one night here prior to our departure flight from Zurich. Hotel was a block from the train/bus station so super convenient. Lots of stores and restaurants walkable in the area. It was incredibly easy to take the bus in the morning to the airport (roughly 3 stops/15 minutes). Would highly recommend as a pre-flight lodging option.

I have stayed at your hotel many times and it is great that is why l keep returning. Besides your an east hop on a taxi to the airport.

Great stay

The room was lovely, clean and modern. The beds were very comfortable. Steph meet us very welcome. We would definitely stay here again. Our only concern was the security for our bicycles.

Mixed feelings

The hotel is conveniently located for exploring Zurich and beyond with the train station being one block away and Zurich about 20 minutes by train. The accommodations were nice and the staff friendly and helpful. I've stayed at this hotel twice in the past while vacationing with my family. My only disappointment was with the breakfast options. On this stay, the hotel fell short of my expectations with the breakfast. Comparing the Hotel Welcome Inn to the other hotels we've stayed at across Europe on our travels, I was hoping there would be more fresh fruit, bacon or sausage, and eggs to choose from. Other than the breakfast, our stay was pleasant and met our needs.

We stayed here the night before flying out after a 10 day trip and it was perfect. Clean rooms - not luxury but perfectly eqiuped with everything we needed and comfortable beds. The staff brought up extra pillows on request, and called us a cab for the 10 minute ride to the airport in the morning. The hotel breakfast in the hotel was worth the 15.00. The train station was a 5 minute walk. We would definately stay here again before flying out.

Nice place in a good location in a busy city Only a couple quibbles - we would have liked an airport shuttle and the restaurant looked nice but not particularly vegetarian friendly (not trying to be - the name was “Meat” lol). Otherwise a nice stay for a morning flight out of Zurich

Is an older hotel but very clean and rooms are renovated, easy access to public transportation and great price.

Nice room but don’t check in after 8:00 PM!

The security code that was emailed to me did not work. There were 4 other guests that arrived at the same time that I did and we all had to call the hotel customer service to get a new code. This was at 1130 PM that we checked in so it was a very frustrating experience. Once I got to the room it was good. The room was clean and I like that the bathroom are split into 2 rooms- one for the shower and one for the toilet. Both rooms had a sink and mirror. This would be really convenient if there are 2 guests.

Quiet room

The shower took a LONG time to get warm water. The shower head wouldn’t stay upright and was constantly drooping. Had twin room but pillows drastically different for each bed. Very quiet room!

The room was very comfortable. We arrived after hours and our confirmation code did not gain us access to our room - front desk was closed. A simple phone call gave us an access code and everything was smooth from there.

Clean rooms and sparkling bathrooms. I liked that there were two bathrooms: one with toilet and sink and one with shower and sink, so it was easy for two people to get ready for the day. Location was great. The S7 SSB train goes directly to Zurich Central Train Station in 15 minutes and the 732 bus goes directly to the airport in 6 minutes.

Wouldn't Stay Again

Chose this hotel because it is close to the airport and had a good rating. It was quite stressful. We were arriving around 9PM so I messaged this info and they responded that they would email a code to get in and get our key. Never received. Called and they said the same thing, nothing. Arrived (exhausted and stressed of how to get in) and on our way in there was a guest buying drugs on the street, luckily she let us in the building. We did easily get our key after another phone call and the gal who answered was very nice and helpful. Other sketchy people were entering building (did not feel safe). Room was very small and basic. We travel a lot and I have never seen such a basic room. There was a horrible smell on the beds. We had to put bath towels down over the pillows to try to help with the smell. The beds were very uncomfortable. Needless to say, between the lack of comfort and the smell, we did not get much sleep. The TV was the tiniest TV I have ever seen. We just felt dirty and creeped out by the whole stay. This is not a "charming" hotel as described. This is not a $200 a night stay (which I know is not expensive), but maybe a $59-$79, but I still wouldn't stay for that price.

Great place, helpful staff. Wifi was initially an issue - the instructions in the room indicated that there was a “Welcome Inn Free” account that we could not find. We later saw instructions and a password in the elevator for the right wifi to use, but the signal was weak and I couldn’t get to the website I needed for a while. Annika at the front desk was very kind and helpful!

The room was quite functional and clean, though the bathroom and shower facilities were rather cramped. The room was fine. The desk attendant upon early morning check out was quite unfriendly. I felt like I was annoying her by asking a question. Maybe a bad day for her. Young ladies there the night before we're very nice. There is no airport shuttle now, as in the past, making this hotel fast less appealing to me now, all factors considered. I'll probably go elsewhere next time.

highly recommend for early flight or check in at Zurich airport with no car : great location , safe easy walkable access to kloten train station (2 min walk) connecting in 15 min to HB Zurich , 7 min bus drive to airport , bus every 10 or 20 min at train station . It worked out perfectly for our partyi of 3 adults flying back to US . we could even repack our suitcases , get a quick coffee at lobby arriving late a t night and departing very early in am . Amazing size of bedroom for 3 ( like a small apartment with 2 bedroom ) tv fridge water tables lights very practical . All necessary provided , soap towels , etc...

Reasonable choice near ZRH

The Hotel Welcome Inn is close to the Zurich airport. It no longer operates a shuttle van, but you can take bus 731 or 733 just a few stops for 2.70 CH and then walk one block to the hotel. The Kloten train station is also just one block away. Wifi works well, and the hotel has apples, cookies, coffee and tea for its guests. The front desk closes at 8 pm, so there is a somewhat complicated mobile key system for late arrivals.

Excellent location. Staff very helpful at check-in. Room was clean & quiet. Pastry shop across the street had great goodies. Would recommend this property to anyone going to Zurich.

Chill place before/after flight near ZRH

Wonderful place to chill before our flight home, after 5 weeks in Europe. Very relaxing, clean, quiet, and nice amenities. Only minutes walking from train station or bus stop

Its ok for a stopover

we found a sign in the room that said you can book a shuttle bus. there was no such bus. Reception offered to book a taxi but we walked to the bus stop opposite the station.

Good location quick walk from Kloten train station. Nice hotel very clean. It was very hot in Zurich but there was no cool air coming from the AC, just air. So I asked reception about it and they said the AC was just a fan no cold air. If you go in summer you may want to call ahead and check whether the AC will be working.

I like the fact that the hotel is just 7 mins from the airport and it comes with Free parking! The staffs at the hotel are very friendly. This is probably one of the best hotels on budget. I definitely recommend the hotel.

No issues whatsoever with the property, and the hotel desk staff was very helpful. The information provided by expedia regarding the hotels airport shuttle service was inaccurate, and resulted in us having to pay an extra 36 CHF in cab fare for the back-and-forth travel. The hotel desk staff advised us their shuttle service was discontinued two years ago and they haven’t had shuttle service to and from the Zürich airport since. This is directly contrary to what Expedia showed, and we selected this hotel based on Expedia‘s confirmation of their Zurich airport shuttle service. We are quite disappointed.

Clean hotel and friendly staff

Had a great stay and close enough to the airport.

This used to be a lovely overnight stay with shuttle to the airport, a pleasant breakfast and couple options for dinner. Not sure why, but it has been trimmed to bare bones. Rooms are still lovely and spotless, but no shuttle, no breakfast and no dinner. The hotel restaurant (“Meats”) caters to town clients and does not accommodate hotel guests. The two restaurants close by have become a construction site - ended up eating a falafel from a street truck ( not bad ), but not a usual style for me
