Lovely hotel with great location on the old town square.
I always like U Prince . Its has a very romantic charm. Its nestled in a area of old town Prague which is a favorite of mine. I knew i made the right choice when I pick this place. With all good things about this place, it has one fault and not by their making. I have stayed in the Grande Suite and the Junior Suite. Very nice however, they share the same affliction. The people in the rooms above you have no concern in how much noise they cause. Both of my visits have been marred by this. Moving furniture , loud voices, and occasional running in their rooms is amplied in your room. You speak to hotel staff and they tty to ask persons to be quieter but to no avail. Language barriers come into play. Hotel U Prince is wonderful but there arethings beyond their control and this should not affect you choosing this gem
Great location in the square! Gorgeous junior suite room with lots of space and beautiful furnishings, but this particular room had no windows to the outside, which made sleeping great but waking up a little harder.
It is a wonderful hotel with friendly and attentive staff. My only complain is completely misleading photos for Junior Suite (room #22). The description does not mention that windows in the room open to an inner hallway above the reception (I expect windows to face outside). It is a very tiny room with a loft for a king bedroom. This makes the very low ceiling above the bed. Our room didn't have any stone walls that look so appealing on the photos. At night registration clerk at front desk just under our "windows" spoke very loud. I had to step outside and kindly ask him to lower his voice. Overall very nice hotel. I definitely recommend with a word of caution about the room.
Perfect location, and the staff were very hospitable. Room was clean and comfortable.
Great location
Amazing trip to Prague. Hotel is situated in a prime location in Old Town right next to the Christmas Market and Astronomical Clock. One comment on hotel. We were given the king room with a loft. Be prepared for stairs in the middle of the night.
This property does not disappoint!! We were lucky enough to reserve a suite and it had the hotel's only balcony!!! The view of the Christmas Market, astronomical clock and churches were amazing! Just wish it had been a little warmer to enjoy the balcony more but as least we had a place to put our drinks to get them cold! Beautiful hotel that is worth staying at - we hope to return one day!!
Fantastic
Stayed here 21 years ago when I proposed on the Charles Bridge. Returned here after 21 years (with wife) and had the same room! (Not planned). Wonderful hotel in the best location.
Perfect hotel in the perfect location I’d recommend it for anyone who wants a boutique hotel experience
What a view. Amazing and quirky hotel!
In the heart of the city.
Location was perfect for a short stay
The location on the hotel is amazing. We were literally right in front of the Astronomic clock , we can see it from our room balcony . The hotel was excellent, breakfast was included which it was delicious and different selections to pick from . I will definitely will come back to this stoning property . I would strongly recommend!!
Great location, spacious room, amazing breakfast!
The location could not be better being basically in front of the astronomical clock. Wonderful view looking over Old Town Square and the clock. Very walkable to anywhere. But it can be loud from the restaurants around, even late at night. I'd recommend bringing ear plugs or a travel/mini white noise machine. The rooms are clean and very spacious, and the styling goes well with the area. The breakfast was really good and well worth it. The elevators can get busy with people going to the rooftop bar/restaurant. If you're on the 1st floor (reception) you have to go down the stairs to the street level to get the elevator to go up. Overall it was very good and I'd definitely stay there again.
This is the hotel you should not missed if you want to experience a classical hotel stay in the center of the beautiful town.
Amazing decor, perfect location
Very nice hotel right on the main Old Town Square. Amazingly convenient. The decor is beautiful throughout.
Lovely hotel and room
Lovely hotel and hotel room, the room was very large and the bed was really comfy. It was close to everything we wanted to do and see and we enjoyed the restaurants and bars on site as well!
I chose this hotel because of it's location in the Old Town of Prague and it's proximity to the Astrological Clock. The hotel is old and quaint but extremely well maintained with updated facilities. The roof top restaurant has great views of the old town, the Charles Bridge and the Castle. Our real treat was going down to the Black Angle in the cellar! I've traveled all over the world over the years and this is absolutely the best bar I've ever been in. The bar tenders are real artists! The hotel also a great outside restaurant where we ate lunch each day and also just to have drinks and watch people.
Amazing location right in the Old Town square. Best views ever.
Had a great stay Too much furniture in the jr suite
The room is incredibly dark and far from Uber access
Convenient location to walk to all the sites in city center.
The hotel is right in the centre, 100 yards from the astronomical clock, so very well positioned. Reception is on the first floor. The lift is very slow at times. We were on the 4th floor and our room was pleasantly decorated and large. Staff are pleasant, but didn't go out of their way to make it a memorable experience in any way - considering they had been informed prior to our arrival that we were both celebrating big birthdays and a wedding anniversary! We only ate in on the evening of our anniversary in the rooftop restaurant. So disappointed - I wouldn't go back!
Ended up With an attic room. 3 stars at best
We loved the hotel and our room was quaint. There were problems with the bathtub and shower. The guard didn’t work and water flooded the Lou. I sopped up as much as I could hoping it wouldn’t seep into the room below. Needs a better design. We had trouble finding outlets to charge our phones and the lighting was minimal. Loved the decor and the the hotel was so convenient!
Prague trip
Great hotel. Right in old town square. Rooftop terrace is beautiful. 30 min from the airport. Large suite was 1100 sq ft and amazing. Overlooking astronomical clock.
Waiter in the restaurant was so disrespectful. I was give 2 complimentary drinks but they treat us like we are there just for there for those drinks ant treat us like trash
Great location, unique beautiful rooms, nice staff.
I absolutely loved our stay in this hotel. We stayed there twice. Room 21 is Amazing! Photo worthy. It has a separate sort of living room, separate from the king bed bedroom. We also stayed in a more traditional room (34) the only catch was that the minisplit could not keep up with the high temperatures, so we were hot every night. We were able to open the windows one night, but it looks over the busiest square in town (beautiful view!), so that means loud people, music, etc on Friday, Saturdays. Aside from the suboptimal ac, this hotel is amazing. The rooftop restaurant is worth going even if you are not staying in the hotel, just for the view, and the bar is a prohibition era bar in the basement that has An amazing vibe!
It’s a great property. Be aware it is in the middle of the most popular tourist area and therefore can have some noise outside in the night. We found the convenience outweighed the noise, but others might not. People with mobility issues could have difficulty in some rooms too. Call and confirm your placement if you have issues.
What a beautiful hotel in great location, everything you need to see from top ten in Prague is walkable. 10 minutes here, 10 minutes there, nice and friendly stuff. Clean place, multiple choices of restaurants in the hotel. Recommending to everyone.
Location was excellent! Across from the astronomical clock and walkable to all the sites. Rooms were also amazing! Staff was friendly and helpful. Beautiful hotel!
This hotel is ideally located near the Old Town Square. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The hotel staff was very helpful. The view from the rooftop was beautiful!
A beautiful view from the rooftop restaurant, convenient room service and a really fantastic cellar bar that is unique and like an old speak easy.
The best location to stay in Prague! You will love this hotel.
Wonderful hotel, and great location next to all the restaurants, bars, and shopping — Literally steps away from Clark Square. But, still very quiet room and we had a wonderful stay
Great
Very nice and great service and location.
N/A
Centrally placed by the main square. Anything you want is in walking distance. The hotel has two restaurants and two bars. Staff really helpful and mostly with excellent English. On the down side, the square is noisy, especially late at night, when it is full of (drunken) revellers.
Great location and an amazing room. Staff was very helpful. I will be back to visit.
Amazing location actually IN the Old Town
Amazing location actually IN the Old Town, which was great as a base for exploring Prague on foot. The only drawback was that we arrived by car which meant it was difficult to self-park anywhere near the hotel because the centre of Prague is so crowded, so we relied on the hotel’s rather expensive valet service (Kč850 per night +Kč150 per valet in/out service). Having said that, the hotel is excellent - our Junior Suite on the 2/F was massive, like staying in a castle! The bathroom needed at update, but otherwise the room was excellent with a well-stocked minibar (all payable). The roof top bar (elevator to 4/F and then staircase) has one of the best views over the Square and the Clock Tower, and hotel guests can access the bar as a priority over non-guests. Staff were really helpful at checkin, checkout, car valet, bar, and dealing with general queries. Minus point - I would have to say that this hotel is NOT disabled-friendly. There are 2 or 3 steps up to the ground floor entrance, then there is an elevator (or staircase) up to reception on 1st floor, but there isn’t really much space to enter/exit the elevator on each floor, and there were steps into our suite (and within the suite) and at other places along corridoors leading to other rooms. You also cannot reach the rooftop bar without climbing many steps (up from 4/F, and again once you’re in the bar). If anybody in your party requires disabled access, check with the hotel before you book.

This hotel is in an excellent location right near the main square. Easily walkable. The room was large but a bit dated. Amenities were lower level items but okay. No 24 hour room service but two nice bars. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Kind and helpful staff. Terrible WiFi. The main recommendation for this hotel is the wonderful location where my window looked out to the square.
Nice hotel in the center of the square. Breakfast was very good and the rooftop restaurant was super for its views and outside dining. The bar in the basement was cozy and dark. Beware of the high dollar drinks though!
Great location with amazing access to downtown Prague. Most staff were committed to excellent service though others did not seem to care at all. Shower doors did leak profusely in the presidential suite.
Apart from location and warm staff, was very disappointing stay. The bedding, pillows very very uncomfortable. Wi-Fi was terrible, breakfast very average
My favorite place to stay ever. The best hotel view imaginable. Helpful and friendly staff. Will remember this stay forever!
Nice location, terrible breakfast buffet, unfriendly staff, and disappointing room.
Front desk reception are friendly
Great stay in old town
Great location
My room is noisy nearby elevator and the room light too dart .
It is very close to the Colosseum.
Fantastic! My room was amazing looking right over the old town square and astronomical clock. Presidential suite is incredible. ❤️
Excellente location, right in front of the clock, you have dozens of restaurants and shops at your footstep. The customer service was excellent, they made me feel welcome and safe. The rooftop has unbeatable sight of the old town. You must stay here, specially if it is your first time in Prague. All the main attractions are at walking distance, i love my room as it was clean and spacious.
The room was very clean but some weird issues. There is no where logical to rest the suitcase to unload. There is a sign in the bathroom asking people not to bathe outside the shower due to flooding. This is both ridiculous and hilarious. They paid money to have this sign made and the issue is actually that the rubber seal on the door does not work. Luckily we caught the ridiculous water flow and my husband was able to create a fix using a towel. Otherwise the entire bathroom would have flooded. People are not bathing in the bathroom, the shower just leaks like a sieve. The view in the room was amazing. I also wanted to surprise my husband with a bottle of champagne and some roses and they made him sign for those upon arrival so that ruined the surprise. We had the audacity to show up to breakfast and say good morning to a young female staff member who immediately snapped at us for being cheerful? We asked if breakfast was ready (there are two rooms and cereals were visible) she gestured around and said “does it look ready?” So a 7am start time is not accurate. And don’t try to be cheerful in the morning! It will not be well received by that girl. No one would answer questions about what was gluten free. The restaurants at the hotel were very bad, so were the options in the area. Inauthentic and expensive with no flavor. Lastly the bed is in a loft so one adult has to climb off the bed like a crab since the space is too small. Great area. Would not recommend hotel
beautiful 2 bed room presidential suite in the heart of old town and overlooking the astronomical clock. 5 star hotel with convenient buffet breakfast but it could have been more items. Superb rooftop bar and restaurant.
So Need to Come Back and Stay gain
I cannot say enough about this hotel: from the fact that I found it at the last minute to the amazing location to the very friendly staff. I arrive way earlier than check in and they put me in a room right away. As other reviews have pointed out: the building is OLD (but isn’t that what you want when staying in Old Town Prague) so you’ll have to no be bothered by a tiny quaint elevator, winding stairs and creaking floorboards. Hopefully the beautiful rooms furnished with antiques and very modern, and plush, bathrooms make up for that. The food choices were great — don’t skip the bar in the basement — and central Prague is literally right outside your door. You can pop out every hour and cross the street to watch the Astronomical Clock every hour if you wanted. Cafes, theaters, museum, shopping are all just steps away. Finally, what friendly staff from front desk to restaurants to housekeeping. I made a special trip to Charles Bridge to up my luck that I will be able to get back some day and enjoy another stay at Hotel U Prince!
Gorgeous hotel. Perfect location. The age of the building means that the noice from rooms above isn’t great. But I’d definitely stay again
I've always liked this property. Great location. Great rooms. Great staff.
We had a fantastic stay at Hotel U Prince. The staff and service were wonderful. The only reason we have marked 4 stars was because the bath was small and it was difficult to get in and out of. The shower wasn’t easy to use as the bath had a slope at the end where the shower was. Otherwise we had a lovely stay in Prague.
Location is spectacular!! So is the Bar and Rooftop
Magical Stay at Hotel U Prince in Old Town Square
Outstanding hotel in a perfect location for accessing everywhere easily. Gorgeous decor, excellent food, superb service and very good value for such luxury. We used all restaurants, including room service - a wide range of dishes and a fantastic breakfast buffet. Fabulous view from the terrace restaurant and cocktail bar and our deluxe suite was kept beautifully clean daily by staff.
Superb hotel and staff. It has everything- location (right by the square) rooftop bar, underground bar. And fantastic value too!
Room 23 is fantastic. 2 toilets, lounge, bedroom and the best bit is the balcony overlooking the clock tower and square. The cellar bar is beautiful, drinks reasonably priced. Seem to have every branded drink in the world. Lucie behind the bar is lovely. Ate in the hotel restaurant outside every nite, great people watching place and food is really good. Recommend the beef teriyaki. Barbara the waitress was really helpful.
Phenomenal location in Old Town. Can see the Astronomical Clock from our room. Right in the heart of the action, especially during the Christmas Markets. Room was so charming, beds are comfortable. I would love to stay here again.
Excellent location
We had a beautiful and large bed and bath. Location could not be any better!! Front desk staff amazing. The restaurant, not so great. Had a very rude encounter with waiter and food very average; but, the terrace view was wonderful!
This was my second time to stay at the U Prince. The location has to be one of the best in Prague, steps from the clock (google it) and the beautiful town square. The entire staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. The restaurant and bar are great. The number of dining options nearby are too numerous to believe. In all, a perfect place to stay in a perfect vacation city.
O didn’t have no access to internet, did complained but nothing really happens. Breakfast is a very irregular place , had to walk forth and back to get my breakfast because the area is very small and didn’t have any staff support to help. Receptionist was very attentive and helpful. Is a nice place but service wise could be better.
This hotel is very, very well cool looking; I took lots of pictures just of the hotel! The staff was super friendly and helpful.
What a wonderful place to old city
This is certainly an unique property with a spectacular location. Cannot be any better. However, being that it is an old landmark, it is lacking the modern aspect of a 5 Star hotel stay. The tub is extremely high and uncomfortable to get in and out of, even unsafe I would say. The room is overly crowded with antique furniture and decoration and for me it was overwhelming and did not allow me to rest properly. To top it off, the staff is always assuming that people are tourists visiting the hotel and treat you as such, not with the expected courtesy by a guest of a 5 star hotel. Some were even rude. The picture taking seemed to be a problem as well for the same reason that they assume that you are a passing by tourist, not one of their guests. It became a stress to have the camera in your hands without a staff questioning you or saying you could not be there or take a picture…. Really?? You are paying to stay at the hotel and cannot even take pictures freely? They need to figure out a way to differentiate their guests and treat them accordingly. They have one of the top 10 bars in the world but I was not allowed to take a picture as a paying guest of the hotel. I would not stay here again but can appreciate the convenience of the location.
This hotel is nestled right on the old town square, just across from the astronomical clock. The bed in our room was amazingly comfortable and the view was amazing. We felt like royalty. We ate at sunset at the restaurant on the roof which was delicious. Sitting outside at the other restaurant was wonderful with the provided blankets and heat lamps. Delicious coffee and desserts. We would very highly recommend. We were there on our honeymoon!
This hotel is practically in old town square and probably one of the best views, bars, rooms near the square. Highly recommend it
Central location, it was easy to walk within Old Town. Good breakfast. Ivan was standing out, very helpful. Otherwise regular service.
The Hotel was centrally located to a vast number of restaurants and shopping. The view from the rooftop was amazing.
Pretty hotel, great location, comfy, stylish rooms. Check out the roof top bar at sunset for amazing views!
Great location
Loved the hotel. Interesting atmosphere and right in the heart of things!
It was a very small and old room but we were right in the middle of old town square. Very convenient.
Great Place and Prime Location!
Incredible hospitality and attentiveness to guests. The accessibility and views of the city are unmatched. This would be our hotel for any future trips to Prague
Tourist attraction prioritised
Hotel was centrally located, but guests Sean to be a secondary consideration to visitors to the restaurant and rooftop bar. To get to reception you need to share a small elevator with everyone wanting to go to the rooftop, so you queue and difficult to get baggage in to elevator. Also often questioned when coming in or to common hotel areas as if you are an intruder
This has to be one of the coolest hotels I've ever stayed at. Smack dab in the middle of the town square, there are loads of options when you step out the front door. It can be quite noisy as the astronomical clock is very close and lots of crowds gather, but the rooms are solid and we didn't hear much at all - plus we were tired from doing stuff all day. Super cool bar in the basement (dress code, no pictures). I would not hesitate to stay here again. Staff and location are great!
Excellent location
Great views.
Don’t stay here!!
The hotel location and outside looks nice. But you will have no accessibility with your car. You have to drive the pedestrian area to get there! Downstairs is an old and dark restaurant bar. The hotel reception is on the 2nd floor. Not very friendly. Hotel is dark and very dreary. The room was awful with uncomfortable bed and had trouble sleeping because the a/c was loud and weak. They give you an old metal key for the room. The only way to lock the room is with the key. If there is an emergency, especially with cooking downstairs, you better know where that key is. Better to find a different hotel!!
It was right in the heart of the old town square. Lovely rooftop bar.
Really got lucky booking Hotel U Prince as it was right on Old Town Square right across from the clock and accessible to everything. We were told the building was a 14th century building for charm, but also has all of the modern conveniences. Great breakfast and I suppose bar, but we did not make it down there.
There’s nowhere else like it, in the world. Hotel U Prince has a magic and majesty that coke from the incredible history, second to none views, and a location that sets you right in the heart of Old Town Square.
Very nice hotel 👍👍👍
Loved it as if it was your home
Great location
beautiful roofbar and best location
5 stars . I can’t wait to back again . If you are looking for best location . And Reasonble price and amazing hotel in Prague . This is a hotel you are looking for .

Another beautiful stay . Can’t wait to back again . Thanks for having me again
Gorgeous hotel with gorgeous roofbar
My favorite hotel in Prague . . I stayed here many times . I love it . I’ll give 5 stars again
Wonderful centrally located place to stay
U Prince is a fabulous place to stay in the center og Prague, steps from Old town square. The staff is top notch. The are extremely helpful and give you undivided attention during check in or when you have a question. The atmosphere is full of charm and very comfortable. We highly recommend this hotel. They also have a wonderful rooftop terrace restaurant, well worth the trip.
Loved that it was built in 1200. Could walk all over Old Town
We loved the hotel. The location could not be improved on. The staff were helpful and the room was interesting. We will recommend it to our friends. We had a poand it was very well resolved.

Great hotel in a great location.
