Awesome staff…. Beautiful boutique setting… Restaurants all around…. Great overall

Beautiful but Loud

Lovely hotel if you want to try something new. However, I found it to be rather noisy. I was in a room facing the street and it just wasn't conducive to a relaxing weekend. Also, the flags out in front of the building were loud enough to disrupt sleep in strong winds. Lots of banging noises at 7:30 am on a day I planned to sleep in. Beautiful room, but the bathroom had a rather funky smell. It reminded me of the lingering smell of bad body odor. Also, be very careful of wearing the hotel slippers on any tiled surfaces. I almost had a serious fall. The hotel staff were lovely! The welcome drink and popcorn upon check in was nice too. It was my birthday and there was a nice card and chilled wine in room. This is the kind of place you check into if you're in town to have a good time, but not if you want a peaceful restful stay.

Wonderful! Hidden gem! First off I wanna say the bed is so so comfy! I have stayed in tons of hotels and this by far is the best bed I have ever slept in. Secondly the way this place is decorated is a whole vibe. From the unique wallpaper and art work and corky touches it is just very cool. Parking is easy and is next to hotel. Several dinning options around and other little shops. Walkable. I would definitely stay here again. Also we enjoyed the robes/slippers and free drink!

This was my fifth or sixth time staying at Hotel Trundle. Keeps getting better. My go to hotel for Columbia.

It's a quirky little hotel, and I liked it a lot. The staff was lovely, and the breakfast was delicious. If there's one quibble, the beds are very high and if you're short, you may have to jump up to get on them. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Excellent Boutique Hotel

Love this place! We’ve stayed here many many times and love to return. The rooms are spacious and well outfitted. The team is very kind and helpful and especially accommodating. I highly recommend staying here whenever possible.

Trundle Hotel is definitely a Unicorn! What a beautiful little gem! Fabulous, warm, welcoming staff! Complimentary drink at check-in, comfy robes and complimentary private labeled bottle water in room, complimentary breakfast…I mean, who does this?! Definitely NOT the big chain hotels! All for a very reasonable price! The funky Art Deco decor was amazing! The lobby is a cozy, fun, community area you want to spend time relaxing in. We were pleasantly surprised and very impressed! Definitely will be returning on our next trip to Columbia! A Experience!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Hotel Trundle; the central walkable location, friendly welcoming staff, comfortable rooms and delicious breakfast, the fun decor and cozy seating areas in the lobby. We will be back!

This property and ALL of the staff are fabulous! I love boutique hotels and this one is now at the top of the list as one of my favorites. The decor is nice. The beds are comfy. It’s walking distance to restaurants and shopping. They offer free breakfast and did I mention complimentary wine and popcorn upon checking in!!! I will be back!!!

Absolutely amazing stay. Beautiful facility with so many tasteful and classy touches. Comfortable beds, great free breakfast, friendly professional staff. Great greeting on arrival accompanied by a free beverage!

Liked the ambiance of the hotel. Negatives were inadequate water pressure in the shower and bathroom sink was too narrow, so water splashed onto clothing unless we were careful to severely reduce water flow from the faucet.

Welcoming for ALL!

Hotel Trundle has the coziest vibe inside. Once you walk inside for check in you are greeted and provided with a complementary choice of a glass of wine or beer as well as a bag of caramel popcorn. The staff from the front desk to housekeeping were exceptional and friendly. My wife and I are a same sex couple and we were treated just as anyone else would be and for us that is refreshing. We were comfortable being ourselves and not judged which unfortunately we have experienced elsewhere. We will absolutely return to Hotel Trundle anytime we visit Columbia!

Great place to stay

The Trundle was a charming hotel with a nice combination of cozy warmth and elegance. The staff was delightful, the interior design of the entire hotel was beautiful and inviting, When we were waiting for the rest of our friends to arrive, it did not feel like you were sitting in a "lobby" but in someone's home. We look forward to coming back!

This will definitely be the first place I look to whenever I return to Columbia. The staff were great, the breakfast was far beyond what other hotels offer, and the hotel and its rooms are fantastic.

This is a great property with great amenities. Parking is easy and the area is well lit. An extendable magifying mirror in the bathroom would be icing on the cake. My only critique is that the walls seemed a little thin on the second floor. One night during my recent stay, I could hear a couple in the neighboring room talking until 2 am, making it hard to sleep.

Adorable little place. Very clean and sweet staff. Only downside was the breakfast included stated cook to order and it was not. Very minimal options, even less than your typical continental breakfast at most hotels. But otherwise cannot complain

Our room was on the first floor and convenient to the lobby. We stayed just one night to attend a concert at the nearby concert hall. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We would stay there again.

Everything i expected it to be .

I just loved the high ceiling in my room (about 12 or 13 feet tall)! Everything about the decor of the room was lovely and unique (the headboards on the beds, the lighting and the exposed brink wall). It was a nice surprise to have an empty mini fridge and a microwave, as well as the accurate thermostat to fine tune the temperature in the room. It was very quiet and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I'll definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

What a charming hotel. The lobby was very welcoming and the staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the "boutiquey" non-corporate feel of this hotel. The rooms were clean and parking was very convenient. Loved the restaurant Smoked right around the corner. Would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay in Trundle. The staff are great and also made my request possible for my husband's birthday. Maybe just next time, we can please make the checkin faster? I think I've waited for almost 20 minutes before I was able to talk to the reception. Also, the breakfast pastries are cold and a bit hard. Please also clean the ceiling fan as you can see it's full of dust just by looking up. But this is recommended if you want to have a quick stay for maybe a night or two.

Unique boutique hotel right by Main Street

We had a very relaxing stay at the hotel. We loved the decor, the large spacious room and bathroom, and the very comfortable beds.

The Trundle Hotel is seriously the cutest, most eclectic hotel I have stayed in. The staff was excellent!! The beds are amazing! Coffee to die for! There were a few things I had issue with. The biggest was the breakfast offering. The website, and the agreement form I signed before checking in talked about an amazing breakfast made by a local sandwich eatery. This was supposed to be included with the room for all guests in the room. I book hotels that offer breakfast and was very excited about this. Unfortunately, they no longer work with the local eatery and we were offered Costco type foods such as pastries and cold quiche. The pastries were subpar, not fresh. The cold quiche was not the best. The shower area has a teeeny tiny spot to put bottles of shampoo or soaps. There were no towel hooks to hang used towels. I was expecting to have a more luxury set up with the bathroom. They did offer very small samples of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. Although I absolutely loved the decor, I don’t feel the offerings of the hotel match the price point they are charging per room. Oh, and you have to pay $18 per day to park in their parking lot.

He staff was absolutely AMAZING!! We were visiting the area to meet with a realtor and start the relocation process. The staff was super friendly, very helpful, just all around southern hospitality at its finest. We will be staying here anytime we come down to meet with our realtor! Cannot recommend this place enough!!!

A delightful hotel

This hotel had a great feel to it. As soon as you walked through the door you were greeted. The foyer was a relaxing area with lots to look at. Room and beds were comfortable. The bathroom had a powerful shower and good products. Quiet room - couldn’t fault it. Would stay again.

Eclectic. Different. Cramped. There is parking, but it’s across the street in another building. Farmer's market on Saturday on Main Street was cool. We found an empty bottle behind the nightstand in our room though. I saw it when I went to plug in my phone. Staff were meh… they didn’t really seem to go above and beyond. They were friendly, but I only saw them at the from desk when I came downstairs. They didn’t seem to be doing anything else. Some were not in any uniform attire which was a little confusing at times. Overall, it was an okay stay, just a little different from most big box hotels.

This is an urban boutique hotel. The lobby is quirky and very unique. Parking was actually pretty convenient. The breakfast in the morning was basic, but I like bagels, yogurt and coffee. The room was a highlight. Very large comfortable room, nice bedding, nice bathroom with great products. Very sweet staff. My daughter and I were visiting the college and overall this was a great stay and very convenient.

The rooms are so spacious, and the staff is super friendly. Lots of interesting restaurants and entertainment within walking distance. The hotel parking is also conveniently located. Loved it!

Top notch stay!

Big comfortable room, dreamy beds, robes, slippers, and no hotel sinus headache in the morning (you know, that funky sinus thing you get from terrible air filtration even in four star resorts). Even the cozy lobby smells great when you walk in and you're greeted (by the stellar staff) with popcorn and wine/beer. One of the best stays I've ever experienced. I would stay here over a big fancy resort any day! Pro tip: pay the daily fee for parking in the garage across the street.

I always try to stay at the Trundle whenever I am in Columbia. The property is lovely and the staff has always been amazing.

I really like this hotel. The decor is unique and the room was spacious. The bathroom was very nice. It felt more like a home bathroom instead of a hotel. The hotel is small & quiet at night.

A SC treasure within a treasure.

Our check-in process was seamless and the greeter at the front desk was outgoing and helpful. It’s such a pleasure to interact with a person that appears to enjoy their job and are exceptional at it. The room itself was spacious and had a cute retro chic vibe to it, I especially appreciated the room layout which placed everything as if it was a loft apartment. Things such as the included refrigerator, microwave, bottled water/beverage service and coffee maker fell right to hand very naturally. The bath had modern fixtures and was well appointed in sort of a Scandinavian style which was a contrast to the decor in the room itself. I thought it was very thoughtful that the hotel included cozy robes and slippers for their guests. Sadly, I am still trying to shed the pounds I gained during COVID so the robe was a tad small for me. A breakfast is included with the price of your room. Simply select from the on-line items offered that day and what time you would like them to be delivered to you the next morning. This process is well explained at check-in. My breakfast was delivered at the exact time of my request and was very satisfying. Try the yogurt with the fruit compote; all of my breakfast selections were great but the freshness of the yogurt and fruit knocked it out of the park. Check out was equally seamless and I was genuinely sad to have to leave this treasure of a hotel.

I'd stay again

I enjoyed Hotel Trundle. I thought the service was friendly and attentive. I liked the glass of wine upon arrival and the stylish lounge. I liked the walkable neighborhood it was in - coffee shop, restaurants, great stores and a museum all within a few blocks. The room had no view, just glazed over window...but I didn't care. Nice bathroom, TV, comfy bed.

Great property; love that they use all local small business vendors. Staff were friendly. Nice perks: welcome drink; great breakfast from local bakery; great local coffee. Large rooms, well equipped, beautifully renovated property. Would visit again & would recommend.

The hotel was in a perfect location. We were minutes from shopping, eating establishments, and entertainment. The employees were very friendly and accommodating to us. It was a very clean and healthy environment.

Cool hotel with super nice people and clever details. The Sat am street vendors at Soda City made for easy entertainment after a tasty local breakfast. It was an easygoing setting for us to enjoy a family wedding in the neighborhood. We will stay here again.

A beautiful boutique hotel with an excellent staff. You are greeted by a welcoming staff who provided us with a free beverage upon arrival. We were early, but they readied our room within about 20 minutes. The rooms were very pretty, clean and well stocked. You get complimentary waters, and there is a small retro refrigerator and microwave.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Wonderful place to stay- I will be back here again!
