The apartment or the family rooms are located on the attic, top floor and we have to carry our luggage 1 floor up

After a long flight from nyc we arrived a bit after check in time to find out one of my band members room was completely dirty because it was never cleaned. This delayed us big time since we were performing and needed to be at our sound check. Staff was extremely rude and did not at least try to compensate us with a complementary breakfast for the band member. I chose this hotel because it had a rating of 8.2. I was very disappointed and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Anytime the employees suggested you write a bad review tells me they don’t appreciate their customers.

Desk clerks were super friendly and helpful. Super convenient area barwly 5 min from the hbf. Lots of food around. The only downside is that some people may not like the area its in. However it didnt bother me personally. I wish i stayed the whole time here

The rooms are pretty small, but comfortable and clean. Breakfast is typical fare, and available until 10. A coffee machine in the lobby would be nice, but nothing else to complain about. It’s quiet, with a nice lounge in back, very convenient to the Hauptbahnhof and with plenty of restaurants and a market and late-night kiosk nearby, and cheap. And the staff is friendly and helpful 24 hours/day.

It was OK overall but I wish I picked somewhere else. It was clean, the breakfast is included and was decent. The people at the desk were nice but didn't speak much English it seems. Lots of dinner options in the area. When they say limited parking, they really mean limited parking. Street parking is free but very difficult to get a spot. They have a total of 5 "paid" spots available for the entire hotel. Getting out of the parking garage, the card didn't work for 5 minutes of us trying to get the machine to read it and when you're trying to get to the airport that's not fun since you're basically trapped in there. The rooms have no AC. Opening the window makes it very loud with random screaming people all night. The fan they provide (which in theory is nice of them) is very loud as well.

Lovely hotel, Frankfurt is a worry!

Lovely hotel, very welcoming and great breakfast. We’ve not been to Frankfurt before and found the streets very busy with young men, obviously immigrants hanging around shops drinking and fighting (we saw 2 fights) and the police seem to leave them to it. The hotel is fantastic but Frankfurt has lots of problems!

Good location and good service .

Good for a night

A good choice for a stop-off in Frankfurt before journeying on. Very close to the Hauptbahnhof. Staff were friendly. Single room was small but clean and well maintained. Good German style breakfast.

Super convenient location.

Very professional yet friendly front of house service. The location is fantastic. Its basically a 3 minute walk from the central station with short cut via the end of platform 24.

Wonderful, as always!

Staff was very nice and helpful, the room included a small fridge, also a fan. Breakfast had a nice selection. We did not feel safe walking around the hotel area. We took our car back early to the airport as this was the last leg of our trip and there was limited parking at this site.

2 days trip to Frankfurt

I arrive at 8am in the morning. Kemal, the front desk staff allows me to check in immediately. He also gives me a big bottle of water as a welcome gift. I just went through a red eye flight to get to Frankfurt and I cannot over emphasize how good it feels to be able to check in early. Thanks to Kemal, I have a wonderful stay at Topas. Topas offer GREAT value for the price. Being located practically next to the main train station is a plus for anyone who plan to explore Frankfurt and surrounding areas. I will definitely come back to Topas during my next trip to Frankfurt. Thank you Kemal!!!

Wonderful hotel, staff, and breakfast. I would definitely stay again and recommend!

It’s a great hotel for what it’s worth. Kind staff, clean rooms. The area itself is super dirty — it’s full of addicts, homeless people, and other sorts of criminals. Definitely not recommended to leave the hotel between 10p and 7a.

Decent place, nice and clean with a super comfy bed. Only downside was no AC but I guess that is reflected in the price charged.

For its class, the hotel is perfect. My single room was clean and with decent size, bathroom was exceptionally clean and tidy. My window was overlooking an internal yard and was very quiet throughout the day and night. Unfortunately, I was waked up the first morning (Saturday at 9:00) by the housekeeping staff who knocked twice at the door, and in a few moments they unlocked my locked door, and entered in. Second morning, on Sunday, my internal phone rang insistingly at 8:15 in the morning by reception desk's mistake.

Excellent budget hotel - handy located for station. Friendly and helpful staff - who were very responsive to fixing an error on their part re booking - whilst this was a modest inconvenience for one night - they made a super effort to fix early the next day and resolved matter with many apologies - great service indeed and great breakfast too. Friendly place to stay. Area around hotel is a little 'edgy' at night re drug dealing -but ignoring or a firm 'no' was respected and no further interaction needed. Great city to visit and hotel great base to choose as a budget choice.

I stayed for one night before next morning flight. The service at the front desk was great. They checked in and had allocated me a room few hours before official check-in time. Nice! The hotel is within walking distance to the main sights to see in Frankfurt and just a few minutes walk to the central train station. The room was small but contained all basic things you need. Breakfast was typical but good. This hotel is one of the best values for money you can find.

Simple but super clean and modern Hotel! Everybody was really nice, the WiFi was stable and fast and breakfast was comprehensive! Unfortunately, the mattress was so hard that I couldn’t sleep more than five hours any night. But I immediately got a second duvet when I asked for it.

Hotel was excellent and very close to the train station. I didn't like the neighborhood which was dirty with lots of men standing around or sitting at tables outside smoking. Had to walk through clouds of cigarette smoke. Many ethnic restaurants of questionable cleanliness around. I would not have felt safe at night.

This hotel is close to Frankfurt Main Station, convenient for travellers. The hotel was clean and staff courteous. The housekeeping staff did their job well but were very noisy. There seemed to be a morning long conversation conducted at high volume to reach friends in other parts of the hotel. The reception staff were frequently to be found at the front door, smoking and making phone calls. On two occasions I had to interrupt this private business to conduct hotel business. On check out, the reception person could not be found and I was seriously delayed. The breakfast is poor, lacking in variety. Cold meats and cheeses are left uncovered for hours. The only hor food is boiled eggs. Needs to improve!

Good place for train travelers

Quite, clean, functional, very friendly personal, close to main train station Hauptbahnhof. some cozy cafes and restaurants just right there. If you have any issues with any thing at the hotel, staff are very helpful with excellent manner. Breakfast ok, clean and frindly service who cares of details. Preis / Leistung: exzellent. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Super close to the central station. Small but very clean room and restaurant. The staff very friendly and helpful. I arrived early morning after a long flight, and the lady at the reception was kind enough to accelerate the cleaning process so I could get into the room for a hot shower. Really appreciate it.

Very good in all aspects. The room was cosy and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was good although I would have liked to be able to get my own coffee instead if asking for it. Maybe it is a question of space as the breakfast room is small. Very handy to transport and a new shopping mall.

Near Trainstation

My room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is located very close to the train station, which is very convenient. As a solo, female traveler I was a bit nervous walking to the hotel as it’s right on the edge of a sketchy area.

Nice Hotel

This hotel was in a good location to access the city centre. The staff were helpful and friendly. The only small problem we experienced was that the room was very hot. We had a small pedestal fan on during the night but it only circulated the hot air. I would've left the window open if we weren't on a lower floor, as I was concerned that someone could just come in.

I arrived in Frankfurt with a knee injury that was aggravated by the flight. The staff were very helpful. The building is old but the hotel is kept clean.

Hotel Topas is located about two blocks from the main train station in Frankfurt, which makes it quite convenient if you are arriving by train.The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, large, and have been updated recently. There are a couple of good cafes and bistros near the hotel. This is a budget hotel and a good value.

Much better locations

it is close to central train station, but not a great neighborhood - much better to stay near another metro stop that feeds into the central train station. No a/c but a fan. Small rooms, but clean. No common areas to sit and have a drink. Breakfast was pretty bad with very limited choices.

Was simple and straightforward. Clean and comfortable. Easy check in and friendly staff. Had to leave before the breakfast. Not the fanciest hotel but perfectly capable for a quick night or a few days if you're in and around Frankfurt and will be spending a lot of time in the city.

No complaint and enjoid staying there.

The Hotel was near where I wanted to be.The breakfast was minimal but ok. Others facilities were fine but wifi was very weak and logging every time we returned was a pain. It was not firing my setting. Despite these I will book it in the future and see if feedback heips.

This is a great little hotel very near the main train station. The rooms are basic, but very comfortable and clean. The price cannot be beat, and the breakfast is outstanding. The staff is very friendly also.

NO AC, Very rude, inflexible staff. Dirty rooms, DANGEROUS Street where drugs are sold and junkies hang out. Smelly hotel. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in my life. YOU WILL REGRET IT! GUARANTEED! There are many many great hotels in the same exact area!

Topas Hotel

Its walking distance from Frankfurt Main train station. The staffs are friendly. The breakfast is good and have enough choices. Rooms are small but if you are not spending a lot of time in hotel room its quite okay. Rooms and bathrooms seems to be recently renovated.

It's clean and in good location. However the beds are small and the window could not be opened from the smell of the kitchen.

The management and staff were very welcoming and very helpful. The hotel's location is very good for access to Frankfurt's main station (Frankfurt Hauptbahnof).

Great Short stay hotel

As a short stay hotel is was nice. The location is great and the street was quite and felt safe. The lack of air-conditioning is a problem. For a budget stay it will get you by but don't expect luxury. That said the staff are extremely friendly and made my stay very pleasant, unlike many more "branded" hotels in the Frankfurt area.

The internet connection is poor.

Great value in an excellent location

Super convenient location only a few minutes' walk from Frankfurt's main train station. While the hotel was undergoing renovations during our stay, our room itself was extremely clean and thoughtfully designed (albeit simple). The staff were friendly and efficient. Highly recommend Hotel Topas if all you need is a a good spot to spend the night near the rail station.

Business trip changed to liesuer trip because of the atomosphere which I felt as I am in the European countryside and the staff hospitality. Every time in Frankfurt = Topas

It's easy to find (about 3 minutes from the station). I arrived hours early (having indicated that on the booking), & the room was then ready within minutes. I had booked a single and was upgraded to a double. Breakfast was totally adequate with sufficient variety to please & accommodate most tastes. Fruit, coffee, tea, water & newspapers are available in the lobby. The room was absolutely quiet & though it faced the street, I was able to sleep with open windows. The staff was friendly (they printed off my boarding pass), efficient, competent (a wifi glitch was quickly fixed & it worked flawlessly from then on) and bilingual.
