Cute little hotel!
It was lovely and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Room was beautiful and very clean and breakfast was excellent. I would definitely book again
Highly recommended!
This is gem of a hotel! Good location, quiet, pleasant and comfortable room and a wonderful staff.
The city and hotel is great
Lovely hotel in a great location for exploring Biarritz by foot. Parking is available which was a bonus (although you have to book in advance). Rooms are a reasonable size and full of character. Nice breakfast available. Fantastic team, welcoming, friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay and I would definitely stay here again if visiting Biarritz.
A wonderful and calm hotel with extremely thoughtful and attentive staff
Exceptionally welcoming and helpful staff both in hotel and restaurant. Hotel room charming, restaurant food delicious. Highly recommend staying and dining here.
The hotel was situated perfectly for the area we explored and enjoyed. We followed advice where to eat and drink and we were lucky to meet a local who told us the petit bus with an N on are free to use and you can catch this to the many beaches and further into town if you like. For the beaches other than the grande place you catch the bus near the Radisson around the corner from the hotel. Perfect. If you go to the grande place there's a lovely kiosk that do great snacks (affordable) to take with you called Snack le Basta. to the left of the plage looking out to sea around the corner of the hill. The area from the hotel and down towards the front is lovely with pretty streets, shops, cafes etc and lovely architecture everywhere. We enjoyed a local aperitif at bar L'Artnoa and a delicious set menu across from the bar at the bistro Au Haou . The local daily markets are a delight and you can find fabulous ice cream next to Les Halles (covered market hall). Sadly, we didn't get the room we booked (superior with a queen bed) instead received a compact room with a zipped up twin so not providing the comfort and experience we expected and we weren't refunded. Our smaller room did offer the use of beach basket with towels at reception ,a cup of tea/water and a chocolate. There's no separate shampoo and conditioner if you prefer so I purchased these. No decaf coffee at breakfast and there's smokers in the garden area. Lovely hotel and breakfast choice nevertheless. We love Biarritz
Reserve parking spot in advance. Extremely convenient. Walkable to everywhere within a few minutes. Great staff, excellent breakfast.
Great hotel in great location - everything was a 10-20 minute walk away in any direction. Great staff. Basic breakfast offering but very good. The beach towels and basket were an unexpected bonus. One of the reasons I booked here was because of other people's reviews mentioning the air conditioning - they were not kidding - my husband was very happy in the arctic chill!
5* all the way fir this beautiful, quaint hotel in the city center. Private parking, super kind staff, beautifully decorated rooms, delicious breakfast, … really wonderful !
PERFECT
Wonderful boutique hotel! Perfectly located in Biarritz! Beautiful accommodations, comfy beds, staff is fantastic, restaurant in the hotel is GREAT! We stayed 6 nights and cant wait to go back! We loved Hotel Saint-Julien!
Perfect for our needs
Awesome boutique hotel with amazing staff!
Booked last minute for an overnight in Biarritz and it was excellent All staff were amazing, the outdoor bar is a lovely setting, our room was brand new, bed was super comfy & shower was excellent. Also in a perfect location, right in the centre of town without being noisy. Couldn’t fault it in any way and will definitely return!
There was some noise in the room, may be plumbing pipe or air conditioner. Anyway, this was minor problem. Other than that, the hotel was very nice. Thank you.
2 nights in Biarritz
Beautiful boutique hotel. The staff are very friendly and available for help. The hotel is in an excellent location close to all the nice areas of the town.
Simply Lovely
Everything about this hotel is wonderful. Spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable rooms. Parking is very limited and 20Euro so dont forget to book. The hotel is conveniently located with many Bars and restaurants nearby and close to the beach
Cute front desk
The room was very cozy and spacious! We had 4 large suitcases and we were able to open all of them at the same time😊😊😊 the room is very clean, front desk was very friendly and very cute!😂😂😂 but really would stay in this hotel again and highly recommend because it’s very well located
Fantastic friendly staff, clean rooms. Cute hotel!
10/10 experience
Our two-night stay at Hotel St. Julien was absolutely amazing. They are highly friendly and make us felt so welcomed. The building and the room are both very nice and beautifully designed. The breakfast was great. Everything was perfect!
Short break
Really lovely hotel, friendly staff good location
Friendly and helpful staff. Room small but very comfortable. Great breakfast.
Truly pleasurable stay. We’ll be back!
Cozy, nicely designed and perfectly located hotel. The real gem is the service - extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. They really made our stay perfect. Attention to small details such as giving us a room facing the backyard as we mentioned in our reservation that we’re tired parents who look forward for a good sleep :-) I highly recommend staying I this hotel.
Perfect small hotel
Great little hotel. Stylish, clean, great staff, lovely breakfast, great location.
Amazing Boutique Hotel, Excellent Location & Staff
Amazing Hotel. Excellent Staff, very pleasant check-in at Reception, who provided us with some maps and local recommendations for food, drinks and activities. Excellent Room. Great air conditioning. Really (really) great. Have the room as cold as you like (important in summer months). Very nice scenic views looking out at the Coast, and the Lighthouse (in the distance). Very quiet. (we were on the 3rd floor, facing the sea). Excellent Breakfast options. Great selection, very convenient, with both indoor and outdoor/gardening seating. Excellent location. Nice, scenic walk from the Hôtel St-Julien to La Grande Plage, takes about 10 mins. Plenty of places to stop along the way for a coffee, drink, or something to eat (N.30 Cantine Urbaine, The Miremont, etc.). Rue Gambetta, Rue des Halles, all very close by. Lots of nice touches. They will lend you a beach basket/bag, with a beach towel and "beach pillow", and if you like it, you can purchase them at reception. In Summary, a very professional, friendly, top-quality, boutique hotel, with great amenities, staff, and decor.
An amazing property!! Great stay!
Vety nice and personal hotel, with a touch if family warmth
A fabulous stay! The hotel is centrally located, we stayed in a superior room, which had the most comfortable bed. We will definitely be returning to this lovely hotel.
Great location, clean and comfortable. Aircon works. Bed very comfortable. We were happy with our choice.
The staff were excellent and location is great! I would suggest people consider this hotel first.
The owners and staff are just wonderful people. We felt very at home here and highly recommend this property.
Lovely hotel good lication
Walking distance to restaurants, shopping and beach.
Helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room. Good breakfast. A short walk from the shops, cafes and restaurants.
The best small hotel
Cozy, clean, family owned hotel. We loved staying there and would recommend it to everyone.
What's up with the billing?
All was going great until checkout. My husband went to checkout and to pay the tax fee. The women there said the hotel wasn't paid for so he paid it. I had paid for the hotel when I booked it online. The women there said Expedia hadn't put the charge through even though I had confirmation online that it had been paid. So I checked online and Expedia hadn't billed it and the hotel charge was there already. So I never pushed it to get a refund. Now we are travelling in Europe for 3 more weeks. Should I continue to use Expedia or not? Not sure what to do. Nice room, good location.
Fantastic experience!
This was a great experience from the first interaction to the last. The hotel is gorgeous, our room was super comfortable and beautiful. The staff went out of their way to be helpful an accommodating. We can't wait to return to beautiful Biarritz and stay here again!!!
Comfortable small hotel, great staff
We very much enjoyed this well-run and very well located hotel. Good breakfast. Staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful.
Great hotel. Tell them in advance re baby.
Book a family room if you are travelling with a baby. May need to do this directly with hotel. We had to swap rooms with someone else. Bit stressful. But all fine in end.
Hotel in great proximity to everything.
Staff are fantastic ,friendly and go out of their way to help you. Rooms are extremely clean and beds are really comfortable.. Breakfast is more than a buffet. Even eggs are cooked to your liking. Our overnight stay in Biarritz turned into three nights. Highly recommend this hotel.
Great service
Our stay at Hotel St Julien was by far the best of our trip. The staff went above and beyond, taking time to walk us through a map of Biarritz and the best ways to see the city, places to eat and places to avoid. I'm not sure we've ever gotten service like this at any hotel. Amazing stay.
Fantastic location in a beautiful town
We arrived at the hotel and greeted by a lovely lady. The hotel ensured we were comfortable and well taken care of. We only stayed the 1 night but, wished we had more time to stay.
Short but excellent stay at the St Julien
The ladies at the reception were delightful, extremely helpful and very good looking! The hotel is very well placed in Biarritz (walking distance to everything).
Well located for town centre
Brilliant welcome from Pauline, easy parking on site, very tasteful amenities & finishes, superb breakfast. Just charming throughout. Huge
Excellent
This place was great from start to finish. Great location. Great staff. Great room.
Good location and welcoming hosts
Well located hotel with lovely staff. A little out of the centre of town but easy walking distance to restaurants and shops close by. Nice breakfast in the morning and we enjoyed some great restaurant recommendations during our stay. The only challenge we had was with parking which can be annoying, it is either paid or requires a bit of a walk if you are looking for free parking further away. The hotel has a car park which was unfortunately full, suggest contacting the hotel directly in advance to see if they can accommodate your vehicle.
Charming hotel in perfect location
Excellent hotel, spent 4 nights. Check-in was smooth even though we showed up very early. Comfortable and generous room, good wifi, nice bathroom, we had the room with the jacuzzi tub. Location excellent, literally just a 1 minute walk in either direction to restaurants, shopping and 3 minutes to the ocean. Breakfast was very nice, fresh fruit, eggs to order, various breads, yogurts etc.
Five star stay
This is a gem of a hotel. I was very impressed with the junior suite, breakfast, and management. Drop-dead gorgeous views at the end of the street....less than a five minute walk.
Convinient and nice hotel.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpfull. The room was nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable and WiFi was good too. I would defiantly recommend this hotel.
Bijou in Biarritz
What a perfect bijou of a hotel in Biarritz! The location was perfect - short walk down the hill to the surfer's beach, local area of town and then to the Grande Plage area. Owners and staff couldn't have been lovelier. Held our bags all day whilst we were at the beach. Perfect recommendations for dinner and drinks. Its an old building so walls a bit thin, but decor and comfort made up for it. Not sure why you would stay anywhere else in Biarritz.
A Jewel in Biarittz
Hotel St-Julian is the perfect way to experience the town and unique neighborhoods of Biarritz. Phillip and his wife are the best of host. St. Julian is situated on a quaint side street, but so close to the beaches, bakeries, and cafes that we did not use our car once. The hotel is amazing, fully remodeled , our room was exquisite. The surfaces in each part of the room are tastfully matched with beautiful refinished old wood floors complemented by bathrooms tiled with uniquely new artisan theme. Sheets and pillows are of the best quality. Views out our room window were spectacular. We looked south with a great view of the Pyrenees far in the distance with red tiled roofs of the adjacent neighborhoods warmly reflecting the sun's rays, and by the way- don't miss the sunsets, grab a bench after a quick walk to the end of the street. The breakfast at 12€ is so worth it- fresh local fruit and pastries with eggs prepared upon request- we had the soft boiled sprinkled with local Esplette red pepper. We walked the beaches both mornings and I surfed. Phillip allowed me to store my rented board in the shed behind the hotel which had board racks; rented from Phillip's friend Marti of MartiSurfDelivery- message him on FB.
What a welcome!
The moment you enter Hotel St Julienne, you feel completely at home. The staff make you feel very welcome, the facilities are very clean and comfortable. The area around the hotel is bustling with nice shops and restaurants but it's lovely and peaceful at night. Biarritz town centre is a short walk downhill, with convenient bus stops for airport and local places nearby. Spent a lovely week there and do have breakfast in the hotel, it's a delicious start to the day.
Nice Locale in the center of Biarritz
Great boutique hotel in the center of Biarritz. Everything is walkable from this location. The service at the hotel was outstanding. Everyone was friendly and eager to serve. Breakfast was nice, for a reasonable surcharge. Would definitely stay here again in the future.
We loved our stay here! The people who run this hotel were so friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful and the bed and shower were great. They helped us local bars and restaurants and were more than happy to accommodate. There is limited parking there but we were shown where we could park. Safe neighborhood beautiful town, wish we could have stayed longer!
Good hotel close to the centre of town
A quiet, well renovated hotel with helpful staff. Excellent, varied breakfast.
Lovely staff. Really tasteful decoration in room (24), a very comfortable need, and views over the roofs of the town to the Pyrenees and sea beyond.
Wow!
Fantastic hotel in a lovely quiet area, near to beach, town, restaurants etc.The hosts were out of this world, very friendly, helpful all you could ask for.Great breakfast choice, free towels to borrow for the beach.Go for yourselves to find out.
Lovely family run hotel
Our hosts were extremely helpful and went out of their way to ensure our 5 day stay was wonderful. The breakfasts were excellent with fresh eggs cooked to order. The location is spot on with great access to all the best areas. We had specially requested the top floor bedrooms and were rewarded with views of the roofscape of Biarritz, the sea and the hills beyond.
Great Spot in Biarritz
Wonderful hotel run by a wonderful family who went out of their way to show us the highlights of the city and make us comfortable.
Recommend
Lovely friendly hotel in very good location. Helpful staff always available to give advice.
Beautiful well run hotel
Made very welcome by young and enthusiastic owners who coped admirably with the fact I messed up dates and numbers for my family! Stayed a week and can't wait to return, I loved the building and its style the convenience of the private parking and the wonderful breakfasts on the sun kissed terrace and the short walks to the beachside, market, casino and restaurants. Can not understand why you would want to stay anywhere else in the area.
Very pleasant hotel conveniently located
Very nice hotel and nicely located. Beautifully renovated. Some rooms have wonderful views to the south. Parking is also available. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
Lovely small hotel
We had an enjoyable stay in Biarritz in the off-season. The owners of the hotel were most accommodating and helpful in answering our many questions. We would definitely stay at the St-Julien again. As three generations from the same family, we felt most safe and secure at this hotel. Many thanks to the owners and for the wonderful breakfast.
The perfect hotel for my weekend stay in Biarritz
Hotel St-Julien was the provided the perfect setting for visiting Biarritz last weekend. The couple who own the hotel were extremely nice and helpful. They helped us with restaurant suggestions for the evening and suggested a great walking tour route of Biarritz for the day. An very clean traditionally French hotel in a prime location, just a 5 min walk from the town centre.
Air Con is humidifier only. Might be hot in summer
Very good hotel. Charming staff. Excellent breakfast.
Excellent location, friendly service.
Had 5 lovely nights staying at this hotel. V peaceful and beautiful rooms.
Excellent hotel
Excellent hotel with wonderful and courteous staff.
High service caliber
I had only a night to spend at the hotel, but I gladly go back. Francois was ready with a recommendation for dinner, or with a place to leave my luggage after I checked out. The room was spacious by European standards, and the hotel is within walking distance of the town center. Breakfast offerings were plentiful, and the omelet that I had was delicious. This is a gem of a hotel in the right location and the value is spectacular.
A wonderful home in Biarritz.
A beautiful hotel, and one of the most attractive rooms I've seen.
Small, intimate hotel fairly close to town
A clean, family run small hotel but up a hill so may not suit older people unless you're prepared to hire a taxi to go back to your hotel from the town. The couple who run the hotel are pleasant and although breakfast is charged on top of the room rate, there is a good selection of buffet style food. The bathroom is small but seems to have been newly refurbished and there is a good power shower.
Great place to stay
A small and charming hotel in a quiet neighborhood. A few blocks from the beaches. We booked a double and got a triple. Very clean and confortable bed. It had a large renovated bathroom. Free WiFi, 10 Euros/day for parking. Breakfast was simple but enough. Eggs and coffee made on the spot for you . Owners live there and were very helpful at all times. When they noticed that we will be arriving late after the office closed, they sent us an email with instructions and contact information.
Tout simplement parfait
.
Agréable séjour, avec toutes les commodités

Friendly service, nice room, we had a fantastic view. Comfy rooms. Walkable to shopping and food. On-site parking is limited in Biarritz, so expect to park in a parking garage, which is no big deal.
