The staff was so helpful every time we had a question. Our room was clean and well laid out. The location was quiet and it was easy walking distance to the placed we wanted to see. I would stay there again.

One of the cleanest places I’ve ever stayed. Perfect for a short visit Room had no English tv channels. Walking distance to the Light Rail. Plenty of restaurants nearby. 20 min walk from the HauptBahnhoff using google maps 5/5 You get what you pay for

Very nice hotel, roomy ,good location,professional staff. I have never seen so big bathroom in the hotel! there is a mini air conditioner which is important summer time. I recommend it for everyone !

Fantastic location - can easily walk to most areas of interest and modes of public transportation; accommodations are simple but very clean and comfortable - note however that my room did not have air conditioning which probably would have been a problem in very hight temperature. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful. Recommend highly - I'll certainly stay here in the future unless I want a more full-service hotel.

I arrived in Frankfurt very early in the morning, and the hotel went out of their way to prepare my room early. Desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay at Spenerhaus again!

Great location in the city centre, welcoming staff, parking available (albeit quite narrow and need to ask the reception to open the gate each time you enter the garage).

Perfect place to stay for a quick overnight. Clean, well appointed rooms with everything in top condition. Day clerk is very kind and accommodating, and speaks excellent English. Close to huge S/U Bahn stop, as well as river Main and Altstadt. Quiet and comfortable.

The hotel is located near the old town therefore is good place to stay. Romos are big and crean. The breakfast is good.

Hotel was a little dated, but generally fine. Location was good close to city center and restaurants.

Staff very friendly and welcoming :-) Breakfast good! Take your own teabags (They have a range of teas but not P.G. Yorkshire etc! } Very close to the Romer and Christmas markets and main attractions and river. Would stay agian if I go back to frankfurt!

Good stay...

Stay was good, small room facing some apartments and quiet. Easy to get around, near shopping area, train station, old town, etc. Breakfast was simple but adequate, however some service staff didn’t seem friendly

Definitely a hotel worth returning to

Had an excellent stay here. Room was comfortable, bathroom was clean and spacious with good water pressure and heat. Wifi was very fast and reliable. The breakfast was excellent, one of the best hotel complementary breakfasts I have eaten. I would definitely return to this place. The parking was very good too and the location is very close walking distance to many sights, especially Romerberg.

nice simple, plain hotel - "it does what is says on the tin". Friendly staff, good choice for breakfast. Shower was a big let-down - shower-head didn't fit holder, so needed to be held full time, tiny shower tray, shower doors did not fit properly

Huge room

I booked a double room & it was massive! Huge bedroom & huge bathroom. Very, very clean!!! Breakfast was fine. The local area is perfect, quick walk to major sites & Christmas markets. Easy to get to the train.

Make no mistake: this is not a luxury hotel, but the quality is very high for a clean and comfortable room with good internet and a lovely (German) breakfast. The room included an electric kettle and hot chocolate mix, as well as tea.

I stayed in Spenerhaus in September 2018. Nice and quiet hotel. Friendly staff. Great breakfast and great location in Altstadt. There is a good vegan restaurant next to the hotel.

Very nice hotel, good price, great location, and excellent free breakfast buffet! The only complaint is that we were not told that parking in the garage cost €10 a night. We thought it was included.

Lovely stay

Lovely little hotel with friendly staff. There’s no air conditioning, but that didn’t matter and there was a portable fan. The single room was small but perfectly equipped, and the free bottles of mineral water were a nice touch. Excellent location for the old town and shopping districts.

Very nice hotel in a great location, close to the city center and tram stops. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was outstanding. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. There were cold drinks in the refrigerator and hot coffee and tea, included in room price. We were there on a hot day and our room did not have air conditioning. It is possible to get to/from airport/hotel using public transportation but because there was so much construction going on for the metro system, it was difficult to figure it out. Next time, I will call hotel ahead of time and get directions.

Fabulous stay at clean reasonably priced hotel. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful with arranging space for our 3rd family member. We received excellent advice for where to eat. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of choices including salmon lox and fresh fruit. So pleased we booked them for our return stay. Highly recommended.

Central Frankfurt

A very suitable hotel for a short break in the centre (old town) of Frankfurt. Quiet location..

Excellent Location

If you are looking for clean, basic, no frills accommodation in a safe neighbourhood with easy walking to most of the sights as well as nearby stations for trams & trains then this is a good choice. Though the in room wi-fi was free, it frequently cut out and required constant logging back on which was inconvenient. My single room was very compact but there was enough space for luggage and to hang some clothes up.

Excellent hotel.

Placed near the city. A very quiet area near the river and a 10 minute walk from the Underground, the city and the Christmas markets. The room was a good comfortable size with a very large comfy bed. Excellent bathroom facilities. The Staff were great, very helpfull, they all spoke English and were happy to do so. A great breakfast with a range of foods. All in all we will definitely use this hotel again.

A friendly hotel

I must admit to feeling a little dubious when the first thing that caught my eye in the room was a set of earplugs! But I can honestly say that this was a very quiet hotel. The neighbouring church's bells are very loud but they peeled only at about 6 pm and 9 am the following morning. Its location is great, a few minutes walk to the U Bahn or the tram or another 5 minutes into the old town.

I picked this hotel based on the good reviews I saw online, even though it was slightly more expensive, but there was no working WiFi, so I ended up spending on roaming data. So overall I didn't feel it was good value for money. This is the only one of the 3 hotels and 3 hostels i stayed in during my trip which i didn't feel satisfied with. The location is good and breakfast is ok. Room is small but clean.

Great location, spacious rooms, excellent staff

Very happy with the hotel, great location with many restaurans and the main shopping street in 5min walking distance. The room was clean and large. The only minus would be that the double bed was actually two beds pushed together, so that was a bit uncomfortable.

Big room and big bathroom, but very bare. Dated building and hallways. The whole place had a hospital like feel.

Really good place to stay in a quiet area very close to central Frankfurt. Not luxurious, not flashy, but just simple, comfortable, relaxing base. Good breakfast too.

Needed to stay one night on a layover. The staff was incredible, it was close to interesting things to see and the local pubs are just across the river. The rooms are tiny but if your staying a night who cares. The room was clean and comfortable.

This hotel had it all

The first thing I would say is that I would stay in this hotel anytime I came to Frankfurt. The location is fabulous, the rooms are immaculate, the people at the front desk are super, the breakfasts are excellent. The hotel is not luxurious but the rooms are modern and comfortable. It is a 2 minute walk from the Dom U-bahn station and there are many restaurants in the area. Breakfasts at the hotel are buffets with everything fresh and tasty. As I wrote at the start, I would stay at this hotel anytime.

best location possible

This is a nice, clean hotel located just a stone's throw away from the Museum or Modern art and Dom/Romer. It is well maintained, clean and quiet. The staff is polite and helpful. Fully matches its 3-star rating. Would definitely recommend it to somebody who values comfortable and quiet surrounding, but who does not want to overspend at the same time. Natalia, Russia

Good and relaxin hotel

A very good, reasonable, comfortable and safe hotel to stay. Staff is friendly and ready to help. A five mins. walk to Romerburg, very convenient.

VCH Spenerhaus- a surprisingly good find

A small very friendly hotel in a perfect Franfurt location, serviced by two U bahn stations each only a stop or two from Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof. A comfortable room with internet access and a fridge (not something you see in all European hotels). The hotel is very close to the Dom and Rommer, the Main River and other points of interest, and to fantastic shopping (and a great market). I was able to get late check out and print my boarding pass all at no extra cost. Despite reading that the breakfast was meagre, I found it to be more than adequate (it wasn't your huge 5 star buffet but do we really need that?). A selection of cerials, breads, egg, meat - more than one should eat in one sitting. Don't expect a mega chain, there are no bells and whistles with this hotel but I couldn't fault it.

Excellent choice

Clean, well run, quiet hotel. Easy walk to historic, old downtown. Majority of rooms have a single twin bed. Our room had two twin beds. Room was large by European standards. Appears that hotel also serves as lodging for those attending church functions at an adjacent church facility. Hotel a real hit with me and my wife. Do not have Wi-Fi, but do loan Ethernet cable, which worked fine with my laptop. Quiet, hot-water heat to room, with separate thermostat for bath and bedroom. Personable, helpful staff. Fine breakfast. Overall, perfectly met our needs. Without question, we would return.

Excellent Frankfurt/M Hotel

This a clean, convenient, and very well run hotel. We enjoyed staying due to its convenience tothe city and the excellent service provided by the Hotel. It is secure, modern, and comfortable.

Very pleasant stay

We had an enjoyable stay at Spenerhaus. This hotel is affiliated with a church, but don't let that deter you unless you are likely to behave inappropriately. Our room was large by European standards, with beautiful morning sun, and was spotless. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and efficient, and, for the ease of visitors with little German, most could speak good English. We were able to access our room when we arrived from the airport around 9am. Cable internet was included in the room price. A good Continental breakfast buffet was also included. The hotel is in a quiet street an easy walk from the river, the major museums and the "old town". We would gladly stay here again.

Eine super zentral gelegenes und doch ruhiges Hotel von dem man aus den Römer, Dom, Paulskirche, die Zeil, Schirn, Jüdisches Museum etc in ein paar Gehminuten erreichen kann. Tiefgaragenplatz direkt unten Hotel für nur 10 Euro die Nacht. Das Personal/Rezeption war mega freundlich. Vielen Dank nochmal dafür. Die Zimmer mit riesigem Bad haben zwar 80er -Jahre Flair, aber sind funktionell und EXTREM SAUBER. Im Kühlschrank waren sogar 2 Flaschen Selterswasser kaltgestellt. Lediglich das Frühstücksbuffet hätte ein klein wenig reichhaltiger sein können. Es gab weder Lachs noch Rührei. Auch die Wurst- und Käseauswahl hielt sich in Grenzen. Der Kaffee schmeckte super. Andererseits kann man eh nicht mehr als 1-2 Brötchen plus ein Croissant;-) essen/belegen und da das Frühstück nur mit 10.50 Euro berechnet wurde,anstatt 18- 25 Euro in anderen Hotels, ist es eine absolute Win-Win- Situation für beide Seiten. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen !

旧市街に位置し、電車やバスの便もよく街歩きには最高の立地でした。部屋は決して広くありませんが寝るだけのための部屋であれば清潔で快適。朝食も一般的なコンチネンタルブレックファストで全く不満はありませんでした。また利用したいです。

Einfach, aber sehr citynah gelegenes Hotel in ruhiger Seitenstraße.

旅館鬧中取靜, 停車方便, 房間也寬敞舒適, 重點是位置很好離老城區和羅馬廣場或是河邊都很近, 步行5~10分鐘皆可達!

Sehr freundliche und familiäre Atmosphäre. Einfaches, aber schmackhaftes Frühstück - leckere Brötchen. Leider ist das Hotel schon abgewohnt und würde mal wieder eine Renovierung vertragen. Die Zimmer sind aber sauber.

Das Zimmer war "absolut sauber aber sehr einfach eingerichtet. Ein Pluspunkt, da im Bad ein Schminkspiegel vorhanden war.

Zentrale Lage - aber Lärm der Innenstadt

Gutes Hotel, sehr angenehmer und freundlicher Service, gute Lage in der Nähe der Innenstadt und der neuen Altstadt; leider hört man die Straßenbahnen auch nachts, obwohl unsere Fenster nicht zur Straße gingen.

いかにもドイツらしく簡素で機能的ですがデザインも美しく、行き届いた清掃もあって清潔感あふれるお部屋です。 周辺は大聖堂やレーマー広場、マイン川のどちらへも近く、夜中に裏道を歩くのも安心感のある立地。 朝食はシンプルですが必要十分で満足できました。

Hôtel en parfait état. Très calme, très propre. Accueil particulièrement agréable. Une seule remarque : la chambre 316, grande et confortable, est particulièrement chaude en mi-saison (chauffage arrêté).

Good location. Parking at the garage was shaded but cost 10 euros per day. Breakfast had a little variety but ok.
