Room smelt of cigarettes, air conditioning control no where to be found and room 103 is the noisiest room I’ve ever stayed on a sogo rotunda, very disappointing

I was made to wait for an hour to check in despite the room being paid for already. This after a very long international flight. I also asked for a food menu so I can order food whilst waiting but I was told it is only in the room so need to wait till I get checked in. Very disappointing check in experience

Tv was not working like it suposed to do . After complaining they try to fix it .but no sucses. Neighbourhood is noisey dirty and there are realy anoying people there.

I would not recommend this hotel

I left to go to the airport and they got me a cab that the aircon did not work and the taxi driver would not run the meter even though I asked several times. Then he charged me double the amount of what it should have cost

The internet rarely worked. The cable tv didn't exist

Food menu for quarantine was terrible. They have a 4 page menu, but every time I tried to order something they didn't have. They only 2 out of the 6 types of rice (just plain and garlic)... they only had 1 of the 6 different appetizers (just chicken wings) They only had 1 out of 6 pastas (just carbonar). When I asked for a sandwich, it depended on the day...some days only ham and cheese and the sogo club sandwhich, the sogo club had WAYYYYY to much mayonaise. And they had no can drinks. On the positive, the half fried chickend was good and so was the chicken wings. But, you shouldn't have to eat chicken wings and half fried chicken every day/night for 10 days while you're in quarantine. Just my opinion.

EXECUTIVE ROOM.....No tea coffee making facilities in room if u want coffee u purchase from recption....only bottom ill-fitting sheet on bed walls very thin you.can hear whats happening next door usb plug not working.On the plus side free internet and 2 adult only channels

Just what was needed

Needed a stay over near the airport. It was great to stay there perfect clean great service..

It was fine however the strong smell from the construction was really horrible. I hope they won't allow the whole floor affected in the construction. Anyway it was just temporary.

This hotel was terrible! We're a family of three who just arrived from a trip overseas. When we got to our room, we found that it was lacking stuff (towels, etc.) for the third guest, which they most likely forgot. They forgot the slippers too for the three of us. We called the front desk about it, but they didn't immediately give what we requested; we had to make another call before they finally delivered the items. Next, we requested for hot water and coffee cups. This time, they delivered the items quickly, but we were shocked that the spoons provided were very dirty; they didn't even bother to check them before delivering them to us. They had some sort of grease or black dirt on their edges, which was really disgusting! We ended up not using them. Next was the shower; hot water was not working and the bath tub was clogged. It would take some time before the water would subside. Overall, we're very disappointed with Sogo's services and amenities. I've been to many hotels in my life, and I'm not usually the picky type, but Sogo is really bad. We're never going back to this terrible hotel! My advice is for you to stay at the neighboring Kabayan Hotel, which is way cleaner and provides good services.

I like the location, near to the skytrain (MRT). And it's quiet. No need to go anywhere for some snack, small lunch or dinner. There's a fast service downstairs, but the vacant chairs and tables are limitted.

It’s widely known as a “short time” hotel/motel for couples which I had no idea coming from the US. The only reason I booked it is because it’s near the JoyBus terminal as we were bound for Baguio the next day.

We waited for an hour just to accommodate us in our room. I booked online to avoid the lines but still we waited. They still checked if the room is already available that should be reserved for us even before we arrived. By the way, we arrived past 2pm which is beyond required check-in time.

Hotel No Go!

Broken toilet cistern. Toilet would not flush at all. Air con capacity weak and some parts of the unit were broken. My room adjacent to a very noisy room used as a utility area. Crashing and banging by staff in the service area at 1am! Won't be staying there again.

Quick service. The 10 minutes rule is awesome when you order room service.

Sogo is a chain love hotel in Philippines that charge on hour basis. This is on prominent location next to the Pasay bus terminus and in a very crowded area. I stayed in a family room with bathtub, but the room had no window because it is designed for love. There is no coffee maker, hot water facility, microwave or refrigerator in the room. This is good for an overnight stay for long distance bus or airport transfer. The rate is reasonable for the area. Nightlife is available in nearby areas.

The only good thing is the hotel close to the shops but the hotel staff just ok the meals are terible we order our dinner and had to wait more than an hour and of course once the meal served it was cold very disappointing soecially i have my australian husband with us presenting this kind of hotel service

This hotel was accessible to shopping, ground transportation and close to the airport.

Nice hotel though not fancy. Not so nice part of the city, very busy train stop, but convenient.

The toilet paper is a no-show

It was very good overall except that my request for new towels came after a day with numerous follow ups. And my request for toilet paper never came inspite of numerous follow ups at the service desk.

Disappointing Stay

*Hallway & Ambiance is very poor not recommended for family stay. *Aircon not efficiently working. IT seemed set to 28. You have to wait an hour to make feel a bit colder *Leaking flush from toilet bowl. *Requested for our room to be clean but we came back with even wrong room key. Have to request and waited long before they get back to us *Food ordered still inside the room. *Front desk not attentive to phone orders and service request.

Close to the airport

Cheap rooms and nice staff. It would have been better if the rooms had Windows to let fresh air and release the old air and bad smell. Unfortunately my aircon was too noisy that made me restless all night.

Hotel Hot as Hell

Was really disappointed with it. Air conditioning was poor, they cleaned room 1/2 time. Was very confusing. Will not stay theee anymore

Vibrant location.

No window rooms. Loads eateries around, inc 7/11. LRT. Railway station very near. Liked location.

I enjoyed my stay and will use them again. The location is convienant for both lines of the LRT. Very close to MOA and other shopping.

Relaxing

Me and my kids celebrate the new year countdown at the Mall of Asia arena, that's why i chose hotel sogo to spend time before and after the event, it's closer and cheaper as compared to other hotels. It's our second time staying at the hotel. I can say that if i plan again to book a hotel in manila, i'll choose hotel sogo if the event is near the place. Keep up the good work!

hotel room is like you are sleeping in a box. its red light hourly hotel. not recommended. molds all over. even bed sheets smell like molds. avoid it

Short Stay

We simply needed somewhere to rest and shower for the day before leaving later that night. This was a cheap and secure alternative for us (and our baggage). The hotel ran a driver service to the airport that night which was ideal for us.

This hotel is very close to the biggest shopping area in Manila. The staff was good and accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable. All in all it was a good stay. The good thing about this hotel is that you can check out 24 hours after you check in. Early check in means early check out.

Do not consider staying here

I have travelled to over 60 countries in my life and this hotel was one of the worst ever. First it's a converted brothel with vinyl mattresses and vinyl pillows. It is not clean. They will not service the room unless you are there. Bathroom filthy. I had to change rooms three times to get one where the safe worked. TV sound did not work in all three rooms. Poor towels (one had foeces on it). Every day I received a phone call asking if I was leaving today even though I had prepaid 8 days (unfortunately). No bar, no restaurant. Could not adjust the AC. On or off were the only options. First time I have stayed in a hotel where no rooms have any type of a window. DO NOT SELECT THIS HOTEL.

Location only good for few hour stay

Had to wait for an joir evrn when checking in at 9pm Given a v small room nothing like photos based on which mafe booking Settled fir first nite in horrible room as tried. Next morning asked for better room after physically checking those open for cleaning. Had to pay additional Peso 1000 for the second night in better room !

The room is so small it doesn't even give a comfortable stay. The surroundings at night was so noisy you can hear what all the noise from the hallway. Will never come back here

Terrible, This is a place close to market and the sorounding area is very noisy. The hotel is kind of motel for short time sex pleasure. Terrible place. I have to pay for the bed sheet. Please dont put this in your hotel selections. The aircondition is secured of masking tapes. This is too expensive for the price in your add.

If you love cheap shopping

This hotel is located right at the edge of Baclaran, the 10 block square Savers. The hotel is nice enough. Everything is paid up front. Room coffee - cash; room service food- cash. There is even an additional charge for using their utensils when ordering from their kitchen. All in all, I Will be there on my next trip to Manila.

Sogo's best

The room was Perfect. SMELLED nice. Very clean. This should be how ALL THE SPGO Hotels should be and are not The nite life and nite time shopping is best. Lowest prices on goods. Bought 3vpair of shorts for less than $8 U. S. The food court at the Mall close by had lots of great foods. Plenty of security everywhere. This was my best visit to the Manila area so far.

I stayed here when I First arrived in Manila a month ago. This is the BEST SOGO IN MANILA. The low price. Great shopping available transport anywhere in the city make this Sogo Hotel shine above all the others. Sogo needs to work on the other locations in Manila to bring them up to the Standards set by this one.

Worst stay ever in any hotel I've been!

The room had a lot of cockroaches of different species.. the shower is broken and the entire floor was smelling turpentine!!! I was trying to sleep before working on a night shift and i was knocked twice for housekeeping!! Plus the corridor was definitely busy and other hotel goers were literally screaming on the corridors and housekeeping staff just pass by with their carts not minding the NOISE!! The staff need to be more apologetic than smiley on the issue and the front desk personnel can be more attentive to customer than chatting among themselves!

The room is clean but there is a lotta cockroaches in the rooms...they come from the drains so the hotel should do more with em...hotel staff are very loud at night time disturbing our sleep. It's ok for one or 2 nights and it's location is good for the mrt and lrt

Not so good

Was told about free breakfast included but staff had no clue what free meant even though it was paid for when booking the room. Lots of Narcotic Agents in and around the property and getting sleep was a problem. Staff is not friendly at all. They give a look of "leave tourist" As for room service, don't expect it.
