It has a good potential to be a freindly and nice place as the location is excellent - the management of the hotel is customer UNFREINDLY .. example .. you cannot take out your breakfast even if you have PREPAID it ...even you are late and cannot eat there you MUST eat there ... not willing to accomodate customer everything you request is rigidly turned down.. compared to neighbourhood hotels which are much more cusstomer oriented

Excellent landing spot in Mumbai. Right on the beach. Great pool. Extremely comfortable. Great staff. Breakfast was phenomenal.

this is a nice hotel, water front, 2 minute walk to the beach, staff are nice, buffet breakfast is good but there was a small cockroach on the dessert table, I did let 2 staff know but they said I am so sorry Ma'am, house keeping staff are very nice and very helpful, buffet dinner are not very good don't have good taste. also Alankar was very helpful checking us in,travel desk Ashish was great in arranging our ride and day tour.

Review of sea princess

It was a great stay overall however the policies with the hotel are a little strange. Such as when I left I had to wait 5-10 mins for the room to be checked over they had my card details. This should be highlighted as most people book a taxi to get to the airport.

Better options and value for money around

The Sea Princess is not value for money, the cost is expensive and the main attraction is the swimming pool and beach. You cannot swim in the beach as it is dirty and the pool is constantly full of little kids completing swimming lessons. Additionally, my partner and I were denied access to the swimming pool as she did not have a cap to cover her long hair. Later that night there was a small child with long hair swimming in the pool without a cap with their father who also did not have a cap to cover there hair. This is quite disappointing given the main reason for booking the hotel was to swim in the pool. This is not value for money and there are better alternatives, we stayed at several other hotels that did not have this require and we were not notified of this requirement prior to the booking.

The hotel it’s self nice and located at seafront, lovely breakfast.

Cleaning and porter staff were great. Restaurant, front desk staff are as bad as I have ever experienced in 30 years or travel in Asia and sub continent. I had to get up every time I wanted something in the overpriced restaurant with for us poor food because the four or five staff wandering would not make eye contact or come anywhere near us. not busy. No excuse. Check out took forever as they needed to make sure i had not stolen the jug or whatever. The beach is the most polluted I have seen in the last one or 2 thousand beaches I have visited. we left after one night.

Excellent service

Service levels were mixed. Rooms were clean, location is good. Amenities were decent. Check out took approximate 40 minutes due to us being accused of opening the water bottle in the mini bar in the room. Guests are advised to check the contents of the mini bar together with the hotel incase of any issues, which should then be addressed. Other you may face a great deal of inconveniences.

This property need a complete overhaul it’s dirty and outdated, the flashy lobby doesn’t compensate fir the rooms… not to mention lack of sound proofing given planes are landing next door and flying overhead

Location

Room was dark and dated. Netting covered window /view to block out scaffolding and neighbouring construction works. Construction works sometimes at night during our stay in November 2022. Old stains on carpet in corridors. Breakfast choice was good. Staff were all polite and helpful.

The worst is internet is very bad and I feel they don’t seems to understand the importance of it. Spoke to many managing staff regarding this concern but no solution. So if you are thinking for business this hotel is not good because of internet. Lately condition of hotel seems deteriorated.

Good value for money

The location was good and the staff were friendly especially Brijesh in the reception. Food was good as well. Rooms were average size but no wardrobe space so live out of suitcase. Rooms and washrooms clean and tidy.

Very good value for money.

Wonderful hotel and very good value for money. Perfect location. Staff are very friendly and the restaurant is open full night so if you are late, you can always eat in the restaurant. Rooms are very clean and well maintained. One particular plus point Sea Princess have is that their bathroom mirror is of a special brand and does not become foggy after your shower. This we did not even find in Taj Lands End.

April trip

Checkin checkout is very slow Every employee expects tips everyday. From room cleaner. Security guard to parking valet to the guy who opens door to the beach. Very sorry to see that hotel must not pay them enough

Initial experience poor as room expected did not match fully - rusty hangers, not easy to use shower until help requested, very cold room etc.. However, our experience changed totally once the Manager became aware of our unsatisfactory mode . He understood, supported where they could, remained open for guest suggestions - opinions. Great team at the Hotel, accomodating yet professional. Spa deserves 5*, excellent service & met beyond expectations ! Restaurant standard & staff good & pleasant. Sadly, the temperature in the room & hotel was very uncomfortable as AC was constantly on - not always suitable to overseas visitors. Even after turning AC off in room, it was not ideal having to sleep in warm clothes ! Overall, the location & convenience of hotel worked perfectly ! Subtle waiting & stopping by service staff with perhaps? expectation of tips can seem uncomfortable esp to a Non Indian & overwhelming but thats Indian Culture ;) I understand - Token of appreciation is a joy to express and should happen naturally and appropriately. Overall, delighted that our initial experience at start changed into a pleasant one. Thank you to the Great team :)

sea princess

my stay was for one night only and I had work in the same locality so that the reason I choose this hotel. The hotel is old and used to be very good but unfortunately over the year the management has not upgraded infrastructure and it is run down and looks old. Breakfast is very average. Also at time of check there was a security deposit taken this was a old system followed by many hotels not so common now. overall and average experience for my stay

Great stay

Great stay, the breakfast buffet was excellent, hotel clean. The room was nice with space for everything. The staff were helpful and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything needed. Will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Mumbai. The pool wasn't open but that was due to government restrictions. Couldn't fault the hotel, am a happy customer.

terrible property...greedy / unprofessional staff

Terrible service and experience. Started with a double charged for the booking. The hotel initially even refused to acknowledge till I furnished the proof. Subsequently, was alleged to use liquor out of the mini bar, which wasn't even kept. They have a classic modus operandi - the guest is never briefed on what is kept in the mini bar. At the time of check out, simply claim xxx was consumed. When confronted, come up with their own ledger claiming they had placed. This is an extremely poorly run property with the sole agenda to shaft the customer. Not worth the stay or experience. The staff is extremely greedy (for tips) and unprofessional in their conduct. Never stay here!

Horrible experience

The duty manager anil yadav was so rude at the front desk. While checking also he was very inpolite. I belong to jaipur and did not know about the hotel policy. He made me sign a form and never informed about the no food policy. Told me to wat the food outside the hotel. When i asked if i should throw the food. He told me to go ahead. His behaviour was very very rude. Am surprised in a 5 start hotel like yours, how can a person and specially the duty manager could be so rude. He told me no food and drinks allowed once the food came. When i asked hin howcome liquor bottle went in the room. He changed his words and said only one bottle is allowed. Very disappointed with the unprofessionalisn and rude behaviour of mr anil yadav. I think he is in the wrong industry and needs training . Very very disappointed Arvind the manager in the morning then hands our food back When inquired was it refrigerated, mr arvind said no sir So basically the food was sitting out all night by the luggage cart I just want to ask the management that is it hygienic to eat u refrigerated fold kept outside overnight The key slot in the room was broken I windet in this post corona times when labour people are sleeping hungry with no food that mr anil decides to throw away the food which could feed some needy person Maybe the hotel management is paying him full salary unlike me that mr anil can afford to throw away food and have the luxury if being so rude at front desk and still secure a job

Best experience of staying in a hotel. Quick check-in, great room service and the on site restaurant had amazing food and a lot of different options. It was very special for me and my fiancé, as we were able to experience outdoor dining in the current situation. The bed was really comfortable as well.

Mixed experience. Good - some staff were pleasant, direct access to the beach, good food, clean ambience Bad - receptionist not to helpful, don’t expect a late check out request to be listened, stayed in a deluxe room- noise from outside and other rooms clearly audible, prefer for a non connecting room - they would give one even if you don’t ask for it;

Breakfast was so bad it was cold and Desserts in Breakfast was dry and bad.Sea princess has gone down on services and quality.

There was a horrible smell in the bathroom. There were not enough staff at breakfast and no one came to ask for tea or coffee, we always had to ask staff for it. There could have been more variety for breakfast, the pastries and cakes at breakfast were the same everyday. Each room should have an iron. We requested an iron and received one which didn’t work. The spa only has a steam room. They should try to fit a sauna and a jacuzzi as well.

Good Overall

Front counter staff were amazing, room attendants were very good. Only disappointing part was pool, as specific type of shorts required but not stated anywhere...I’ve worn my shorts at other hotels without an issue - so unable to use the outdoor pool. Didn’t have time to buy another pair as only there 2 nights. Food good.

We weee suppose to have partial sea view but we had to look down and view little but of sea otherwise it was covered with trees. The staff at the reception was not cooperative at all. I have been to lots of hotel in juhu including JW Marriott but this hotel was disappointing. I would not go there again.

The buffet was disappointing. The staff were not interested in looking after the guests. A group of 2/3 were busy having a natter. The house keeping staff were helpful and when coming back to the room, a couple of them Would just walk in and trying to be helpful And would not leave the room till a tip was given to them.

This was my second stay at this hotel. First time was in 2005. I was impressed then as much I was this time with huge refurbishment. Even with fine tooth comb I cannot find anything to complain about. Beautiful property- the Location. The Staff, Service, Food.... all round.

Did not refunded my money even though I am a regular customer and my daughter was extremely sick so couldn’t travel.

The staff accommodated an early check in at 4am, which was greatly appreciated after a long flight. Staff also provided complimentary wifi both just before our check in and after we checked out while we waited to leave for our flight. Breakfast staff were fantastic. Nice to be able walk on the beach and that guard watched for your return to let you quickly back on the property. Love the pool side seaside view and service. Have stayed before and will stay again.

This is the hardest-to-write hotel review in all of my 59 countries visited thus far. As a matter of policy, I notified this property (7-weeks in advance) that I'm disabled on a cane & a mobility walker, needing early check-in as my flight arrives at 2:30AM. I arrived at the hotel at 4:25AM and was told by the night manager they were sold-out and that a/my room wouldn't be available until 2PM, some 9-plus hours later. I asked why, having given them my email address AND cell phone number, they failed to notify me of this by either method. The manager told me it's NOT their policy to respond to ANY requests. Due to health issues, I was extremely tired (28 hrs. travel time) and couldn't possibly sit at an adjoining couch until 2PM. I advised him I knew a room was available somewhere in the hotel. After two full hours of my phone calls to Orbitz & my editor and his repeated refusal to give me an available room, a room magically became available at 6:30AM. I asked the manager how that was possible. He stated someone had checked out just minutes ago and the room was readied. I was sitting 15 feet from him and NOBODY had come down to check out let alone vacated an occupied room. I advised him what he had done was incredibly unprofessional and deceitful and would be noted in my review. He stated once again he didn't care and he wouldn't be held accountable. The rest of the staff were wonderful except for the travel coordinator, my room was great and the food was excellent.

Good locations don’t close to shops. Beach is just behind the hotel

The location was ideal and the sea view room was brilliant. The only draw back was of housekeeping staff gathering around the room or inside the room for tips and that is what I felt unpleasant. Also experienced ringing the bell In my room to draw my attention when housekeeping service was not called for. Checking out took longer than anticipated. I was charged for couple of hours early check in even though the room was available. Breakfast was not worth it- wished booked Room only stay.

Loved the efficient check in and overall friendliness of the staff ....wish they had weighing scales in the room so we are aware of how much the bags weigh rather than calling the porters and dont like the fact that they hv to take the luggage away ...too inconvenient ...otherwise loved the hotel!!!

We stay for business trip and choice this lovely hotel. Staff are very enthusiastic and little bit too much to help always they are behind you... another issue if staff don’t understand please don’t say yes. We are happy to repeat our order. No offence. If they forget or misunderstood our order that is cause more annoyed issue. (Room 108) We have another unfortunately issue. The hotel has so many A/C fans and engine noise comes to into our room during the evening. There is always buzzing noise. Cocktails are very good. Breakfast needs to little bit western touch for options.

Can be better !!

Service in terms of bell boy to front desk was phenomenal. However, some of the business ethics was not right. We ordered Tiramisu from restaurant but we got completely different item half the size and double the price. After complaining no body got back to us.

Great place to stay in Mumbai, close to sea beach and airport.

Lovely entrance to hotel/restaurant and bar area. Nice location on the beach close to shops. Pool area was used for walk in guests so pool was full of young kids all day and no seating for actual hotel guests. Staff in pool area had very limited English skills.

Quick 2 day trip

Location is the only plus point. Service was slow. Conditions of the room were just average.

The room I had was one of the refurbished ones and was very nice. The breakfast buffet was comprehensive, the grounds lovely and the staff very helpful.

On the sea shore with a nice outdoor restaurant by the shore. Hotel is not clean and staff not as courteous for a 4 star + rating. Buffet breakfast not as nice as some other similar class hotels. Food was good in the hotel restaurant.

Great value for money and great location close to the airport

Plumbing recently changed and there was red coloured water in the tap. Didn't recoccur but this should not have happened

Enjoyable stay with excellent buffet breakfast and dinner. Not the hotel’s fault but a combination of noisy guests on my floor plus virtually round the clock aircraft noise took the shine off the experience. Would recommend and use again. A good stopover hotel with faultless dining - just a shame about the noise.

Good hotel, highly reccommend

I've stayed at the Sea Princess hotel 3 times and it's a very good hotel to book. Location is fab, close to Juhu beach, close to Ville Parle and Santa Cruz for those who are in Mumbai for shopping. Awesome fresh breakfast (Indian and European) Room sizes are good, I've stayed in the more tradition room as well as the modern ones. The only gripe is that the room is very cold if you leave as the AC kicks in and it freezes up the room. Love that 4 bottles of water are left within the room everyday...the cleaning staff always asked us if we're happy with the cleanliness of the room. All the staff we spoke to were very friendly and helpful The only thing that needs improving drastically is the WiFi speed which is shockingly very slow and I'm surprised that it's so slow. I would advise picking up a local SIM card for internet use within the hotel. Would def stay again for the location and price of the hotel

Very disorganised Reception! Inspite of requesting for a taxi at my cost to the airport and having confirmation, on check out was informed that they were now unable to do so! had to go to the streets to find a taxi so as not to miss my flight! No apology, no comment from the people manning the reception!!

Very nice hotel

Very nice hotel and great location on the front. All staff are friendly and the room was comfortable. Second time we have stayed and would stay again. Only issue was the hotel said they took are card details for a deposit upon check in. But they actually took a payment, which was annoying because we wanted to settle the bill in case and had extra cash left over.

Bathrooms are tiny. Felt claustrophobic in there. Breakfast spread is a bare minimum.

Good Hotel

Good Hotel with Good Location. Reception Area is small. Restaurant is Good with Quality food but Service is not up to the mark. Liquor prices are way high and even Good is expensive. In-house Guests must get discount on the Dinning Bill. Over all it's a Good Hotel but need some Improvement .

Very nice location and very nice view we got with this booking .. buffet breakfast is THE best as it has lotsa verity of food .. service is excellent and rooms r very much updated .. good value for price

Nice Hotel infront of the sea

Nice hotel over looking the sea, the hotel looks up to date till you reach the room. The room's decor was a bit outdated. but other than that it was a very nice experience. The pool was wonderful especially that it is right on the beach.

Really good and really bad.

The pool and outdoor bar area is super cool and a really nice place to be. A couple of the staff were great. The rest were terrible. The front desk provides what must be the world’s slowest checkout.

Well satisfied

Had a great time. Staff was perfect in their demeanor and hospitality. Must mention Ms. Minaz at reception who helped us get in a little bit early into our ocean facing room and was always helpful throughout our stay. Everyone at the hotel and the restaurant were amazing and smiling and helpful. Had a few hours of a complimentary car and driver to take us out shopping. Our package included breakfast. The buffet and live kitchen was great. Good was fresh and deliciously made.
