This properly had the biggest suite I've ever stayed in, with a close distance to the train station and perform for those looking to walk around old Bern.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. 3 minute walk from Bern train station. Conveniently located to many great restaurants and shopping. Horel staff was very friendly and welcoming. Rooms were comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Savoy! From the moment we arrived in the middle of the night, exhausted after a day of disrupted travel, we felt welcome and comfortable. Our luggage had been delayed on a flight from Heathrow to Geneva and the staff did all they could to help us manage this challenging situation. The rooms are large and spacious and the facilities are excellent. There was a problem with our shower but it was promptly addressed. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

We upgraded to a larger room and it was very comfortable and nice. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, Charlie in particular.

Good location. AC doesn't work. If open the window AC is automatically turned off. Outside is extremely noisy.

The staff at this hotel were all extremely nice and very helpful. The hotel was well maintained, the room was well stocked with complimentary water and various supplies and a free breakfast is available on the ground floor. We booked a "double" room, which meant two beds similar in size to an XL Twin pushed together, meaning essentially a King bed. The room was reasonably large and very clean. The location of this hotel absolutely cannot be beat. It's about a block from the main train station, which is convenient for both travel and finding food after hours or on Sunday. The AC was not as strong as we are used to in the US, so we had some warm nights, but the room did have operable windows as well. In all, we had a great stay and would strongly recommend the Hotel Savoy when staying in Bern.

Helpful and friendly staff!

Hotel Savoy was perfect as out hub for travel. The train station is literally steps away. The room was clean & comfortable. We recommend to others.

Perfect.

Our stay at the Savoy, though short, was fantastic! The room was perfect for our needs, roomy enough for 3 adults and 1 teen to feel comfortable in the space and the rooftop patio was icing on the cake. A place to relax while others were getting ready or sleeping in. But to add to the icing was a complimentary, stocked minibar and fresh fruit in the kitchenette. The location couldn’t have been more convenient and the staff was super attentive to our needs (directions, recommendations, etc.). I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it it others. Thank you.

Right by train station, lovely room, lovely shower, great breakfast, helpful staff. Would stay here again. Easy to see the main attractions of Bern from hotel & staff gave excellent advice.

One Night in Bern - Great stay

We really enjoyed our stay here for our one day visit to Bern. We received the mobile passes which allowed us to take the transit system for the day. We dropped our bags off and the front desk person was gracious in suggesting a good day's itinerary. Excellent service. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We looked out over the street, but it was quiet for a Sunday. I liked the espresso coffee maker and the slippers. Great place to stay when you need to be close to the airport and downtown.

The hotel is in a perfect location! Walking distance from the train station, restaurants, shops and Old Towne. The staff was super friendly and helpful with any questions. The rooms were immaculate and the showerhead was so refreshing and relaxing, that after a long day of site seeing, it was difficult to get out! The free daily refill of bottled water, coffee and tea were icing on the cake. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

Great views of the Matterhorn!!

The Savoy hotel is a well run business type hotel in the centre of Bern. It is convenient for the transport, local restaurants and bars and the main tourist sights in the lovely city of Bern. The staff training was excellent and the room appointments were well above average for Swiss hotels, which often lack international adaptors. Recommended for business travel or short tourism stop.

Rooms are very well set up including electrical connections on the desk. We got the slightly larger rooms for slightly more, so rooms were comfy, not too crowded, including the bathroom. Great location for a well kept small, boutique hotel

Very comfortable and convenient place to stay

Extremely satisfied with our stay at the Savoy. The staff are very responsive to customer needs. We let them know when booking the room that one of us has mobility issues and they gave us a room with special accommodations for that. The room was very spacious. The light coloured furniture, walls, carpeting and the large window keep the room looking bright. The hotel is very close to the Neuengasse entrance/exit from the SBB train station. This made it very convenient for us to explore other Swiss cities and get to Zurich airport by rail. Bern’s key tourist attractions are all within walking distance if the hotel. There is an abundance of shopping and dining establishments in the area. We would definitely stay at the Savoy again.

Friendly

Conveniently situated very close to the railway station & yet very quiet. In the old town so all sights easily walkable. Free bus/tram pass but we didn’t use this. Very helpful & friendly reception staff. Great restaurant recommendations. Would certainly use this hotel again.

This place was amazing! The staff were so very helpful and guided us with any questions that we had. The room was so clean and beautiful. The hotel was a very short walk to the train station which was a just perfect for us. It was also very near the public trams which was very helpful to get around. We loved our stay so much that we decided to stay another night. This has been our favorite hotel in our one month trip all over Europe.

Excellent hotel. Really clean and comfortable with friendly staff. Perfectly positioned quite close to the train station (you can’t hear it!) and to the centre and old town, everywhere is walkable. If we go back to Bern we will definitely use this hotel again

Great location. Near train station for an easy walk but away enough for quiet. Close to Old Town and local transportation. Room was beautifully designed and showed no wear. A great choice!

Traveling with 5 people, the hotel was welcoming and incredibly helpful and patient. Enjoy our stay and will absolutely return.

This is a wonderful hotel. Very Swiss, very well run, very pleasant staff, and a great location. I can't recommend it enough This is my third stay with them and I look forward to returning sometime in the future. I am an old and grizled business traveler (now retired), so I know a good thing when I see one and Savoy Bern is a good one!

Our room was large by European standards. The bathroom was small, however (some of the room space could have been used to increase the bathroom). The room looked updated but the hotel hall carpet looked dirty? It wasn’t clear if that was the pattern or dirt. The elevator was small and slow but overall, this was a good hotel choice with friendly staff and decently located to sites and transport.

All in all, for the money, I can’t think of a better hotel experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and quiet. The location unbeatable.

This place is just perfect for 2 to 3 days if you want to stay in the old town core. There are nice neighborhoods outside the old town which you can get to easily by taxi or bus - or even walk to if you like walking. It is very central and there all kinds of amenities nearby.

Great location half a block from the train station. Large, clean, modern room. Great desk with lots of options for charging. The best feature was a large, shower with a full door. It's been par for the course for us to end up with showers with half doors where the floors get very wet

This was definitely one of the best hotel experiences that I ever had! Super friendly staff, nice location, clean room. Staff was acting as a family. They were supporting each other without putting boundaries in between responsibilities. I never seen such teamwork in other hotels before. Super excited! Thank you!!!

Very clean, nice breakfast, excellent staff, close to everything.

At first sight we were a little disappointed, but when we got to our room we changed our minds. The room was quiet and spacious with very good bathroom. The location, right by the station is very convenient. Very close to trams and buses and walkable to all the sights. We had breakfast each day. Originally we thought it was expensive at 20 Swiss francs. Then we saw the prices elsewhere and decided it was a bargain!

Definitely not a four star property!

Amazing stay at Savoy Bern

Wonderful stay at Savoy Bern. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and boast the most comfortable beds. The breakfast is quite cheap and offers an amazing buffet for a continental breakfast, with high quality items. Staff is well-trained, courteous, and helpful. Overall, excellent stay.

Historic hotel in a busy tourist town

The hotel was very conveniently located to all the tourist sights we were interested in seeing. There was a bit of street noise outside but nothing anyone could do anything about. It was clean and comfortable, but could use a little updating which was a little disappointing because of the price we paid. It was very close to the train station.

Excellent base hotel for train

Hotel was modern and in good shape. Rooms were clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Best part was location in Old Town. We used it as a base to take the train and it was the best hotel for location to get to the train station was literally just down the road.

The front desk staff was excellent. Great advice on restaurants. Just an all around excellent experience!
