Amazing , huge rooms with beautiful design, great staff, the GYM open 24/7 , great pool area. It is just perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful property, amazing staff
Lovely hotel that was really enjoyable!
We had a fantastic four night stay here. The rooms are huge but a little rustic. However, the rest was excellent. Great restaurant, awesome food, very friendly and capable staff throughout, nice spa, modern gym, lovely little coffee shop, etc. Some great wildlife around as well. An absolute gem in the middle of a rain forest.
Absolutely wonderful!
We stayed for two nights and didn't want to leave. This stay was just one of our stops on a longer trip and was by far the best place! Everyone was friendly and helpful. We loved Mariano. The entire place was well kept and clean. Food was excellent. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful. We enjoyed going down to the river although it was rather risky with all the rain. The only thing that I didn't like was the lack of privacy in the shower area. There is a wall but no door so someone could easily walk into the area. We were traveling with an older child, so it wasn't a huge issue, but the rooms aren't really designed for families. Despite this, it was still an amazing place and we would recommend it.
Perfect stay, awesome property
Like living in a storybook for a few days. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful and the property is so awe-strikingly beautiful it will take your breath away. Every detail, so incredibly thoughtful.
Out time at the Hideaway was absolutely beautiful! Upon our arrival we felt instantly welcomed with a cool face towel and fresh juice. We were then taken to our bungalow by golf cart by the sweetest employee. The grounds and scenery are unbeatable! We had a forest view suite and it is totally worth it! We were able to sit out on our balcony and view tons of wildlife and listen to the chirping of the birds. We also enjoyed all the food and refreshment options with a full service dining area for the complimentary breakfast and the reasonably proced dinner. There was also a swim up bar with food and ddink options as well as a coffee shop. My partner also reay enjoyed the gym and all the nice equipment provided. All around the staff were very kind and helpful going above and beyond. We would recommend this hotel to everyone and will be back when we are in Costa Rica again!
The staff is highly professional and personable. And the rooms are beautiful, have everything one might need. A beautiful stay with gorgeous surroundings. The Pool and hot tub area is spacious and so relaxing!
This is a second tome we stayed at the hotel. First time was four years ago and it was quiet boutique hotel, now it's in process of expansion. We love the place and would come back. I included the negative responce about it to inform, not to deter. The highlights: You can walk to the river, it's a short hike, and swim in there, very beautiful spot to take photos. You can see wild life while on property, we saw toucans, sloths, monkeys, red eyed frogs, etc. Liked: Beautiful hotel all around, grounds, rooms, pool, etc. Very attentive service. Everyone is extremely polite and helpful, very sweet. The restaurant prepared good food, we stayed 3 nights and while breakfast had limited variety it was enough to choose from. Had we stayed longer, it whould feel boring. Dinners were very good. They have excelent pool with three jacuzzi and poolside bar, it's warm and comfortable, so that you can spend the whole day in it if you like. Disliked: CONSTRUCTION. The hotel is going through expansion and building more facilities and villas. There is constant banging and havy tools screeching sound. It's heard by the pool, by the restaurant and the rooms. There is no quiet space at all. in addition, the construction is too close to the red eyed frogs habitat, tge small frog pond. I wish they would create another safe pond for frogs, safly relocate them and then build around existing frog pond. It was very sad to see this change from four years ago.
Such a great time. Loved the property and the staff. We will be back someday!
Great Food and service. Close to the Park
Private individual villa rooms. Large room and love the outdoor shower. Food was awesome, and staff were very attentive, friendly and top service. There is a large balcony, but as for garden view rooms, there is nothing to see there. Thick plants were up to the balcony and nothing to see. Hotel has nice loop hiking trail behind the hotel and trail also takes you to the river, so if you want to swim there, you could. Hotel is conveniently located close to the park and other activities.
Wonderful hotel. Service excellent
This is one of the most amazing places I’ve ever stayed in. Luxury in nature. The staff is incredibly friendly
Upon arriving, this hotel literally took our breath away. We were welcomed by name and the host let us know that they had been expecting us. The room felt palacious. It was adorned with a poster bed with sheer drapery, an outdoor shower, as well as a huge indoor shower and bathroom. Seriously, the bathroom was like another room. In addition, the view from the balcony captivated even those who later saw the photographs. No detail was left undone. We felt like royalty. It was well worth the money. Btw, it was our 30th anniversary and from the Koi pond to the fireplace dining; from the pool and poolside bar, we were bathed in comfort and care. Even the Chef and serving team supported my Gluten allergy with delicious meal options. As a whole, we were blown away !!! Our experience with the Hideaway Hotel was beyond our expectations. They even had amazing excursions to keep you busy. I can't wait to visit them again. Sincerely, Jane and Matt
This place was beautiful. The rooms are lovely and huge. There's the best staff. Katherine, Josue, Ismael and Jennifer were so wonderful. There's nothing they won't do to make you happy. The pool and grounds are beautiful. The food has many breakfast and dinner selections and lunch can be out by the pool or in the dining room. There are toucans and monkeys and sloth there. The monkeys visited one day at breakfast they kept popping their head down to say hello.
Great food beautiful rooms Excellent staff
Wonderful stay.
A full service sanctuary.
Incredible place. Feet like royalty.
I cannot say enough about this resort! It is beautiful and peaceful! The resort is in the rainforest and close to many activities. The staff are wonderful and so helpful! This is the best resort in Costa Rica!
👍
Amazing experience. The staff was always super welcoming and nice. The room was beautiful and cleaned daily. The property is only a few minutes from the Rio Celeste Waterfall and the river is right in the backyard of this hotel which makes it super unique. Highly recommend.
Two nights at least
Stay at least two days dice if it rains the waterfall and river at national park might not be light blue.
We had previously stated this property and had a fantastic experience. Unfortunately, during the stay, the same cannot be said. There was continuous construction going on around the entire property, causing noise and disruption during our entire stay. We were placed in one of the first five cabins which is closest to the highway. We had never experienced such highway noise which didn’t allow us to relax or feel in touch with the natural environment as a result of it. Our previous stay was closer to the trail head and felt like a magical experience in the jungle.
The property and the rooms were beautiful. There was a baby sloth sleeping in a tree outside our room, and a monkey by the spa. The staff was helpful & the property well maintained. We loved eating at the swim up bar and the walk to the river was a nice treat.
Incredible service from all the staff but a special thanks to Mariano who helped us find a better route so we could also make it to La Fortuna to see Volcano Arenal. He was very generous with his time and super informative. We loved the room and the location in the area of Rio Celeste.
The property is beautifully situated and each room has a covered private deck that feels like you're in the rain forest. It was awesome to sit there and listen to the rain and watch the birds come and go. The property itself and the grounds are beautiful. We used the spa, pool, gym, bars, and restaurant several times and the quality of the experience was always excellent. The staff were all universally welcoming, attentive, and helpful. The only down sides (if you can call them that) are that the pool is heated by the sun and so is always warm (not really refreshing), and the property is located some distance from any towns or other destinations (closest was the Tenorio Volcano State Park, which was a 30-40 minute walk away), so if you don't have a car you will have to arrange for transportation. The hotel was happy to oblige and we used several of their recommended excursions, but that cost can add up if you're there for several days. I would definitely stay at this property again if I have the chance to go back to Guanacaste.
The property is amazing- restaurant was very good — all employees when above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable
I can’t even begin to describe how amazing this property was. I hope to go back one day. AMAZING!
Loved it
Located in the heart of Costa Rica, the Rio Celeste Hideaway Resort is a paradise for anyone looking for a unique adventure. From stunning views of the Volcano to hiking trails that lead to the famous Rio Celeste River, this resort offers everything you need for an unforgettable experience. The friendly staff is always eager to help and provide you with all the necessary information about local attractions and activities. The beautiful property is surrounded by lush vegetation and exotic animals that can be admired from your balcony or during a nature walk. Moreover, you can enjoy exquisite food prepared by talented chefs in the restaurant on-site called Kantala. And if you’re feeling adventurous, there are plenty of activities available such as tubing, horseback riding and more! We did tubing in the beautiful Rio Celeste river. Our guides Paulo and Carlos made it extra special with their knowledge and enthusiasm for the area. We felt safe, secure, and had a blast! From navigating around rocks and waterfalls to spotting wildlife along the way, we were able to truly appreciate nature's beauty while having an unforgettable experience. So whether you are looking for an adventure or just want to relax by the pool and enjoy nature at its finest, Rio Celeste Hideaway Resort is sure to provide an unforgettable experience. A big thank you to Ismael, Cristian, Nelson, Mariano, Josue, Katherine and others for everything! We will be back soon :)
Beautiful property and great staff! Food at the restaurant was amazing as well. If you’re looking for a hotel near rio Celeste this is the place to be. You have your own private springs and the accommodations are stunning. Will be returning!
Lots of activities around. A trail lead to the river. Environment and food are awesome!
Beautiful property and surroundings. Very friendly staff.
THIS PROPERTY WAS BEAUTIFUL AND THE FOOD AND DRINKS WERE AMAZING. DURING BREAKFAST YOU GET TO SEE ALL KINDS OF BIRDS AND ANIMALS. THE VILLA WE WERE IN WAS GORGEOUS, THE BED WAS BEYOND COMFORTABLE AND THE OUTDOOR SHOWER WAS SO RELAXING. I WOULD DEFINITELY STAY HERE WHEN I RETURN.
One of the most beautiful hotels that I ever stayed at. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. The grounds are amazing. Sloths, monkeys and toucans.
Lovely hotel in the heart of the jungle!
Lovely, clean hotel with friendly staff. The trail leading down to the river was amazing! We even spotted a viper on the way!
This is an amazing hotel y every senses! Wonderfulllll!!
Paradise in a jungle. Rooms are spacious and designed with taste. The whole property is built as part of the rainforest that surrounds it. Staff is extremely helpful and nice.
Our first 2 nights in Costa Rica were at the Hideaway and wow! What an introduction! We (2A, 2C aged 11&13) loved everything about the resort and hope to return in the future.
Stayed here on the last night of a 3-week trip. Well worth the money for a splurge. Nice location, great staff, lovely rooms, and a restaraunt that's way above average for CR. And, we saw a tapir by the roadside on the drive up!
This place turned out to be the most amazing place we've ever been to. Everything about this property is truly awing for us. The way it has been seamlessly cultivated into the surrounding jungle, the beautiful rooms, the quality and elegance of the dining area, the friendliness and service of the staff and on and on... We were lucky to see a sloth and her baby, howler monkeys and all kinds of other birds and animals on our walks around the property and area. There is no better place to experience a true Costa Rican jungle in luxury. I would say this is more of a couples or honeymoon spot. Not really for kids. Especially because this is the real jungle, and even though they take every possible measure to make sure the paths are clean and safe, the Costa Rican jungle is not a place to be irreverent. I tried to go first on all our hikes (they provide walking sticks for more confidence) because we did see an eyelash viper... If you move slowly and carefully you will be fine and you will be rewarded with the most incredible experience.
Could not have asked for more.
The location is stunning, the staff are all incredibly friendly and accommodating, the facilities show attention to detail and are well maintained. 10/10 this place is a must stay, we’ll be back!
Absolutely stunning. Definitely a hidden gem in the region. Sadly the pool was under construction, but it happened to be raining so it wasn’t an issue. Food wasn’t on par with building style, so please beware.
Lack of staff at pool. Breakfast not many options. Hiking trail on site. River access on site. Grounds are beautiful. The free night walk was excellent. wildlife on site excellent.
The growl was amazing and the staff and service was very good as well.
We only stayed one night but the place was beautiful, excellent staff and very close to Rio Celeste waterfall. Would have loved to stay longer!
Loved it..
So amazingly beautiful to be in the rainforest!! The decor at the hotel and the rooms were spacious and amazing!
Rio Celeste hideaway is one of the best hotels you’ll ever stay at. Highly recommend this place. Beautiful hotel nicest staff. I love a good mega resort but this is luxury boutique at its best. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you so much for everything we’ll be right back soon
Two families vacationing together had a wonderful time at Rio Celeste Hideaway Hotel. The staff couldn't have been kinder or more helpful to us. Rooms and property are so beautiful, and its small enough that our children could travel from room to pool to restaurant on their own without any worry that they would get turned around. I hope we get a chance to go back!
Stunning
Absolutely spectacular hotel. Easy enough to find / get to, the grounds are stunning, it has it's only little trail where you can swim in the river, and it's literally 2 minutes from the Volcan Tenorio national park where the goregous Rio Celeste waterfall is. The pool area is lovely, the staff were very helpful and friendly and it does the best Pina Coladas!!! Would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.
Besides being a beautiful location, with gorgeously manicured natural flora and beautiful views, the grounds were just filled with wildlife. We received service better than any other location and became friends with more than one of the staff. The pools and hot tub were very clean and well-maintained. Food and drink for great, prices reasonable, I can’t say enough good things about this wonderful place.
We loved our stay! The hotel rooms, grounds, and restaurant were beautiful. The rooms are adjacent to the forest and had a gorgeous outdoor shower. The pool was great. The staff at the restaurant were incredible and made my family, with two young kids, feel very welcome. We hope to return sometime soon!
Excellent service - clean rooms
Excellent in every category!
Beautiful!
Dreamy Zen rooms, outdoor shower was a trip, lobby and dining area are Zen wonderful. The pool and spa were average. The chocolate massage was good.
Beautiful place..! The stuff very friendly
Beautiful place
Gorgeous and large rooms, excellent and friendly staff, beautiful pool area. Juan Pablo and Oscar were especially helpful. Maria in the spa gave a fantastic massage. This place is a little out of the way, but definitely worth a visit.
Lovely, well worth the travel here. Stay at least 2 nights. If driving here, be careful of pot holes. Roads could be improved.
This was my second time here. It was so amazing the first time that I had to come back. The hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful. The room is big with an extra outdoor shower. My adult daughters had an amazing volcanic massage with mud from the volcano and hot stones. The food is delicious with their classic Tico dish
Amazing hotel. Great service. Loved our time there.
Very nice hotel in a nice place. Will stay again. Private river access and night walk were good
Excelente servicio, instalaciones muy confortables y lindo!
Service was good and nice gardens but the beds were terrible super uncomfortable hard. It s a foam over a piece of wood.
Beautiful property right by the river
Really enjoyed this hotel! The concierge was great, helped us get the COVID test to return to US on property with no inconvenience. The free night walk was one of my favorite parts of my entire trip, saw tons of frogs and some snakes. The access point to Rio Celeste is right on property (although this is to the river, not the waterfall, fyi). Food was good (the burrito at lunch, especially). The room was a jungle facing villa/stand alone casita very roomy and comfortable.
Rio Celeste Hideaway is the only hotel near Río Celeste, just a few minutes from the park. The hotel property is beautiful and the food is really good with fair prices. I will recommend to stay there without hesitation.
It was amazing! Peaceful and relaxing! We will be going back soon!
very near to rio celeste fall just 1 km. spacious rooms and excellent service. starting from reception to check out. Lush gardens, lots of birds, fish pond
Beautiful, spacious rooms. The property landscaping was gorgeous and I love that you can walk to see the Rio Celeste river on the property via a short trail. I like that the property had all the amenities of a large resort (pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, game room) but was a small resort. Very family friendly.
Worth Every Penny!
Really special place. Incredible location right on the river. Fantastic hikes right from your doorstep. The food, the service, 10/10. Many thanks.
Hideaway couple escape.
We were only at the hideaway for 1 night, our overall experience was wonderful, the staff is very helpful and pleasant, the surroundings , cleanliness and room privacy are all great, the free nightwalk was fantastic !
Beautiful cabinas situated in the middle of the jungle/rainforest. Feels like you're the only one there. Very tranquil and relaxing.
the property is beautiful. everything was perfect.
Beautifully rainforest hotel
This hotel is unique. It offers a true rainforest experience with some trails for walking to the river Celeste and around the area. The grounds as well as the casitas are all very well maintained. But I reserve the most praise for the staff and owner. When my wife left her phone in the van bringing us to the resort the staff went out of their way to help retrieve it. Even going so far that the manager made arrangements to pick the phone up at a Liberia hotel for us so we didn’t have to pay for a taxi to bring it to us. This is just 1 example of the totally friendly and helpful staff. The pool and spa tubs were also clean comfortable, and inviting. Definitely a very good choice to stay in the rainforest
Very tropical and well maintained. Very clean and nicely decorated.
Beautiful location, wonderful staff, food was delicious! Would absolutely stay here again, very close to the National Park and access to the beautiful blue river on the grounds!
The Rio celeste is a hideaway from everything as soon as we got there everybody has been amazing the property is beautiful we did alot of excursions on our own and we met great people we did the night hike super fun! The pool is cold unfortunately not heated but the hot tub is great and the swim up bar as well the drinks are pricey but good and food at the restaurant was delicious. The spa is very small but the massages were good and best price we have paid. Rooms were ample and nice but there very humid they have humidifiers but becuase of location there still very humid I have allergies and I was not able to sleep. The hike to the river is awesome and beautiful is the river. Overall everything was awesome we traveled due to my BF Bday and they made it extra special Thank you to everyone at the Rio Celeste hideaway we will be back!
Beautiful, classy with excellent ambiance and wonderful staff. Food was great as well. Will recommend and return in the future for a longer visit.
This was an amazing property down to the smallest details. The staff went above and beyond for you from the moment you arrived. Not speaking Spanish, the majority of the staff were bilingual and able to help me I would highly recommend this hotel.
We enjoyed staying here very much. The staffs were so friendly we enjoyed talking to the bartender girl at the swimming pool. So close to the Rio Celeste waterfall. It’s hidden place and very quiet.
Short & relaxing trip
Stayed 2-nights with family & friends here. The resort has spacious and beautiful rooms with amazing views, trails for hiking, huge swimming pool, and Jacuzzi. Food at the restaurant was very good (but it was way too salty, so ask for "no salt" and it will be just right) and excellent desserts with great presentation! The hike to the waterfall was scenic and beautiful, but it is a strenuous hike with about 300 steps climb to the bottom to see the waterfall. Excellent service from staff. We asked the staff if something special can be done for my nieces who is celebrating their 21st birthday there. The housekeeping staff indeed decorated their beds beautifully with "Happy Birthday" message as a surprise. Because the resort is located in a rain forest, it is humid and rained on and off while we were there in August. Good thing the resort provides large umbrellas that you can borrow and use. The rooms have de-humidifier, air conditioning, fan, small coffee maker and mini fridge. Overall, a very memorable stay. If you can, highly recommend getting the meal and tour package in advance (you'll save some $).
Superior place to stay. Wonderful manicured grounds and intimate cabins. I would recommend the forest view (we had) instead of garden view. Staff was superior in every respect. An absolutely magnificent place to stay.
Greatness
Awesome! This hideaway is the best place I have ever stayed
The bed was not excellent, the staff was excellent and extremely kind.
We arrived a little early and were able to check in about two hours before check in. The hotel is gorgeous, couldn’t ask for better scenery or architecture. Went the last week of May and it felt like we had this entire resort to ourselves and it was wonderful. Great breakfast and dessert. Walking from the restaurant back to our room at night was intense- heard a monkey in the trees, saw a plethora of spiders, frogs and a snake. I only wish they had a few lights on the pathway because that was one adrenaline spiked walk to the room 😆.
We swam in the Rio Celeste river privately from the property then came back and sat on our deck and were visited by a family of capuchin monkeys. Amazing!
It is a unique location inside the forest, very well maintained, good food and very near to a natural oark and blue river
Wish we would’ve stayed longer!
We loved our stay and wish we would’ve stayed longer than one night! We booked an upgraded casita with forest view—it was secluded and we loved watching for animals from the veranda. Both the indoor and the outdoor shower were incredible. The bed was also really comfortable! There were thoughtful touches everywhere—from the juice on arrival and golf cart to the room to the robes and details inside the rooms as well. We loved walking the hotel’s path to the waterfall along the river and also that the hotel was so close to Tenorio National park. This hotel is intimate and welcoming and definitely worth the stay. You’re nestled back into the forest with nature, but with all of the luxury, modern amenities you could ever want.
Amazing!! Beautiful property and area. Great service at the hotel
Beautiful grounds
Beautiful location, grounds and rooms were well taken care of, great service, my only issue was the beds were too hard for me, otherwise very recommended!
Tranquility and nature, proximity to park, private river access
Was cool to walk to the river and swim in that crazy blue water. LOTS of wildlife. You're IN the forest. Bugs, coati, birds... People are SO nice. Breakfast was good. Location is very good. Hotel is cool, nice, clean...
The perfect hideaway
Great service, staff, layout, amenities, and area to stay in, especially if you are interested in the Celeste waterfalls. Was pleasantly surprised to find they had a well maintained path to the river so you could swim there since you cannot in the national park.
What a beautiful hotel!
Amazing!
Lovely spacious room. A lovely landscaped setting and trail to the river. Nice relaxing pool area. Convenient for access to the Rio Celeste Park. Restaurant food basic and overpriced
Beautiful, clean, nice trails to Rio Celeste! Rooms and pool are great! One of the nicest hotels I ever stayed at. Great for couples, friends, families.
