Excellent
Hotel location is great, in the center of cultural events and great restaurants and entertainment
Excellent service clean, friendly and food great
The staff were super welcoming and friendly from the beginning. We arrived early but they had no problem letting us check in at 1 pm. The room was clean & anytime we needed extra towels or anything the staff was quick & efficient. The gentleman recommended so many fun things to do around the hotel. The hotel is open with a lot of beautiful scenery. I would definitely stay here again.
It was convenient to everything which was nice. The room was clean maybe a refrigerator would be nice. Also we checked out at 7:30 am and no one around had to leave keys on desk.
100%recomendable. Tiene muy buena ubicacion. Frente a la plaza machado. Muy seguro y limpio. El personal muy amable. Muy buen precio
Everyone was super friendly and everything was super great.
This hotel was beautiful! I love how decor was. Let allowed us to check in way earlier then the actual check in time which was amazing. We did get the room with the small pool right outside so there was alot of noise because family with their kids were swimming and making noise even around night time. The restaurant in the hotel had very good food was really nice but i did not like the service. They took a while to attend us and I had to remind them that we were waiting and there was only one table with a family and us. It took about 40 minutes to get our food but thankfully the food was good.
The staff were all polite and professional. The presentation of meals were excellent. The meals good.
Inernet and tv didnt work and sheets were dirty
Location
Staff very friendly and helpful. Some bilingual. The decor is awesome and the interior restaurant space as well as exterior restaurant spaces really great. Delicious food!
This quaint hotel is in an amazing location. Located in the square of El Centro, it’s super close to restaurants and bars. While it’s not a luxury hotel, it’s just what we needed for our stay. Great staff, beautiful grounds, and clean comfortable room.
Besides location of course . Hotel 🏫 extremely clean and staff is super friendly and accommodating
Great location
It is a place with character, not a bland big hotel. They keep the rooms and public areas clean and tidy. The included breakfast had a lovely large fruit bowl as well as various egg type offerings. It's a great location on Machado Square within easy walking to the Cathedral and the market. Most rooms have a window into the central area which is a bit dark. The pool is tiny, more like a water feature. Still, it is a fun and funky place to stay. Excellent live music one of the nights we were there. Sometimes there is a bit of noise from the square, nothing too drastic though.
Beautiful boutique hotel
Beautiful atmosphere- extremely friendly staff- Fabulous breakfast - everything is clean - perfect location to walk to all restaurants/shops/ocean & bars- Highly recommend
Great location, rooms simple but fine
My husband and I enjoyed our room. It is not for older people because of all the stairs. Just an afterthought.
Right on the central square! Perfect location wua good restaurants
The hotel had a very unique style, staff was always attentive and friendly. I will definitely be staying there again in the future.
Property is very clean. Breakfast is fresh and delicious, coffee is strong and always freshly made. Personal is very accommodating and polity. They have good internet conection with smart tv. The pool is small but beautiful and very calming with amazing sculptures There is plenty of restaurants and coffee shops around. The malecon with a lot of people around is beautiful and is very inspiring to see everyone exercising and enjoying the natural beauty and amazing views
Excellent atmosphere, clean, safe and everyone was really polite.
I did not expect this place to be so beautiful and just loved it and enjoyed my short stay. I will be returning again for more time. The area it is on a great relaxing and couples retreat. I loved loved it. Gracias it is so cute and romantic just so much to do there.
We had a very pleasant stay at Raices del sol
Beautiful hotel right the middle of Mazatlan's downtown heart.
The place is nice and clean. If you want peace and quiet this is not the place for you. Other than that it is in the perfect location in historic district.
Staff, service and amenities are great. Security guard is fantastic. You can tell this staff loves their job.
Had an amazing time October 2022. Boutique hotel so no elevators but the entire hotel is beautiful with lots of character. The plaza directly in front of the hotel is filled with vendors. I read reviews on the noise at nigh, this is due to the hotel surrounded by restaurants that host live bands, so it was quiet enjoyable. There is also overnight security so that made the stay feel safe. The beach is 5 minute walking distance and the hotel restaurant is delicious ! Would love to return !
Our four nights at Raices Del Mar was a highlight of our two weeks in Mazatlán. First, the staff was so friendly and welcoming. Our room was great. There was some weekend noise but nothing intolerable. The food was wonderful, too. Can’t say enough about this hotel!
I didn't like much. The staff was rude. When having breakfast, for which I had to pay for because it was not included with the room, I asked one of the attendants for sweet bread to have with my coffee. She told me that if I wanted bread I had to go to the bakery and get it. The bakery was one block away, so I left my coffee at the table and went to get the bread. In addition, the night that I arrived, I was given the wrong key to my room, instead of room 55, I was given the key for room 65. What a pain. All of this for $92 USD not including breakfast. What a pain!
Very clean. In an older style building was a neat place to stay. I can’t believe more people were not using the roof top patio in the evening . I was up there almost every night Great atmosphere! Loved it would go again no problem!!
Wonderful service
Excellent location, beautiful place but the rooms need more amenities like an iron, small fridge, also the bldg needs sealed windows because the noise is very loud
Amazing!
We had to wait a day to get into our resort so I randomly booked at Raices Del Mar and hoped for the best! It was just what we needed/wanted. The experience on Plaza Muchado was incredible! We didn’t know we were in such a cool place. It’s historic yet has all the modern conveniences you need. The soaking pool was small but very refreshing! The restaurant was amazing. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The decor was fabulous and we Found something new every time we passed through! I am traveling with my adult children and we all found something to enjoy. If you want to experience downtown Mazatlan at its best, stay here! If you can’t handle late night noise(they provide earplugs) then don’t stay here. The partying does go into the night but was not a problem for us!
If you want to experience Old Town and the Machado this is where we stay. It is directly on the Machado. At times it can be very noisy at night (they supply earplugs) but that is expected if you chose to stay in the area. We have only stayed in the studio type room and it is clean, has a queen bed, big shower, tv desk and chair. It offers a complimentary breakfast with delicious items. They also offer full menus all day for people who just want to eat there. The decor is eclectic and the staff are very friendly. I am sure other people have have different thoughts but stay once and form your own opinion. We are a senior couple, late 60’s, who like to find local places to explore.
Best hotel in Mazatlan
The staff where very nice and very accommodating to all of our needs . Right when We arrived the front desk came out and helped us with our luggage. Very politely and fast check in . The hotel was so beautiful and nicely decorated. Very urban and colorful. I would definitely recommend this hotel and give the staff a 10 for service .
Great downtown hotel
The hotel was very centrally located and the staff was very accommodating throughout our stay. The rooms were simple, but clean and served our purposes well. The main drawback was the distance to the beach (about a 15 min walk).
Everything was very clean parking was off-site but literally ft away. I would stay here again.
Well, the Jacuzzi had water in it, but the water was cold enough for a Penguin to live in! There were water issues several times during the week and the water was cloudy brown several days. No effort was ever made to turn the heat on, or clear the murky waters the entire week.
Overall im happy with the hotel the only thing that really sucks is the parking and you have to pay 120 pesos every day and the wifi really sucks super slow and really bad signal, other than that the hotel is great.
Excellent hotel
Great staff and great location!
Increíble
Increíble lugar en el corazón del centro histórico...a pasos de todo!
Well located in the historic district surrounded by good restaurants.
You must stay here!
The stay was great! Loved the hotel and its theme. It was almost like a visit to the past in a modern way! will definitely stay here again. Breakfast was great too!! 🤗
Hotel has personality, not just one more corporate Holiday Inn, quaint and quirky. Location was pleasant right on the square in cute old town. Walking shops and restaurants while people watching was good. I'd say good for couples, not the heart of the beach/party zone which could be good or bad depending on your perspective. Beach is within walking distance for the hearty. Taxi are alway available. Host at reception very nice. Restaurant service was courteous, but slow. Any and all outside noise traveled into the room. Bathroom modern, room reasonably clean. Overall happy with it.
Great little soaking pool and friendly restaurant. Excellent breakfast included. Nice artwork through out. In the centro historico with good restaurants and entertainment all around.
A pleasant few nights in a great locale
Located in charming old downtown Mazalta, tis is quite a nice hotel, with fairly spacious rooms and located in a very central and accessible location. There was a nice atmosphere in the plaza at night and it was close enough to nightlife and the southern beaches that it made for quite a pleasant stay. The staff was very friendly and quite attentive and pleasant to deal with. The only drawback was the breakfast offering though well prepared, was quite bland, which is surprising for a place that has such a good cuisine and array of spices available.
It’s was beautiful , clean , Manuel the bellboy was very attentive as well as all the staff . I will definitely will be staying at Raíces Del Mar on my next trip to Mazatlan.
Very nice staff attitud
Nicely kept property with open-air interior giving it a jungle feel. The small kitchen serves great food and margs. The staff is wonderful. We stayed on the third floor and there isn’t an elevator, so be aware as the stair climbs are a bit tiring. We would stay here again.
