It was a lovely property with beautiful views. I wish we would have had time to explore more of the area and the hotel amenities. I took off one star because we were not able to control the thermostat in our own room, which is important to me. We were told it was centrally controlled. It was very stuffy in the room but when we opened the door to the balcony to get air, any fan movement in the room stopped. Please consider letting guests control their room temperatures, especially when the weather is at least 10 degrees warmer than expected.

Lovely grounds, property has not been kept up. Stone stairs to water covered in invisible slime - fell straight down and was told by staff that it happens all the time but no warning signs posted. Tried to file a report but was told he would "mention to the manager". turf covering a visible concrete area ripped and has holes. Seems built with a great design but management is cutting corners. Ample but average food at buffets. Nice views. piano bar in evening is pleasant.

Lovely hotel but service from staff is very slow. Also despite paying for a particular type of room they tried to give me a cheaper room upon arrival. This happened last year too. I had to insist it was changed to what I’d paid for which they did. Other than that I’d recommend. Food is good with a huge choice, comfy beds and place is always very clean

I’ve only given 3 out of 5 for staff and service for one reason only. There aren’t enough staff. The ones they have are lovely but they’re run off their feet. Restaurant especially. Third time at this hotel and it gets worse each year. It’s a beautiful property in a fabulous location, but more staff are needed.

This is a gem of a hotel, masquerading as a 4 start, but in many ways better than five start hotels I have stayed at. Service was always with a smile and always with a positive attitude. We used the gym (a little dated, but works), the pools, the restaurant at breakfast and the lobby bar - all had a friendly atmosphere. The coast around the hotel was also a great area to explore and the sea was probably a couple of degrees warmer than the pools. All in all, a great stay!

Exceptional place right at the sea

Outstanding place within larger resort. We enjoyed the beautiful views and well kept park on the peninsula where the hotel is built. Hotel offers all amenities and good service. All in all well above expectations.

Beautiful surroundings, nice rooms, overpriced

This has been our second stay at this property and we had great, well-equipped and comfortable rooms looking onto the sea. The hotel is right next to the sea and also boasts two outdoor pools (one of them is heated, but in the summer why bother with pools when you can bathe in one of the most attractive and clean seas in the world). The surrounding area is wooded and there are myriad pretty shaded seaside paths for the 20 minute walk to Poreč town - alternatively you can drive, take a sea taxi or even a little train. The food at dinner (we had half-board) could be a bit tastier, though - it's a bit run of the mill. And, finally, but this seems to be becoming problem everywhere on the Croatian coast: the room prices are way too high.I mean this thing costs the same as the French Riviera or Ibiza in high season! And, yes, the nature is pretty, but as far as entertainment goes, it's dead. (The fact that the clientele seems to be mostly pensioners is probably telling.)

Lovely hotel with amazing location, but holiday spoilt because of no air conditioning with temperatures of 27°C in the room. Tried to sleep with balcony doors open, but on two occasions excessive noise in the hotel prevented this until 4.00 am.

Nice hotel in a great location

Excellent location in a pretty park right next to the sea and literally a step away from numerous beaches. Nice outdoor and indoor pools. Excellent breakfast. Great overall, although the prices are too steep, especially in season. The main town is a 40 minute walk away.

Great hotel for a peaceful holiday

Love this property, it has everything you would need on a vacation, food is good, every night had some music entertainment, our family with my elderly parents we enjoyed very much, this is our second visit, would love to return again!

Great Holiday

Top hotel with friendly staff. We stayed bed and breakfast and the choice of food was good. Our room was cleaned every day to a high standard. Plenty of sunbeds surrounding the lovely pools. The beach was a short walk from the hotel and although it wasn't a sandy beach we purchased the beach shoes so getting in and out of the sea wasn't a problem. Taxi boat just along the front took us to Porec old town and the food/atmosphere and beautiful buildings/views were amazing. Resort was pretty/green and and rubbish free every where we went. Will be booking for next year

Perfection! Sitting in a beautiful part of Croatia with stunning views, the contemporary deigned hotel has wonderful facilities and very attentive staff. Food choices were excellent and rooms were modern and very comfortable. Highly recommended!

Modern beautiful resort

We didn't really know what to expect about Porec but we were so pleasantly surprised at this amazing place. Positives are plentiful. Generous rooms, bars and grounds are so well maintained. The breakfast.... oh my goodness. Amazing! Negative. The rooms are actually a bit too complicated. Everything is electronic and confusing for us. Please don't read too much into that though. We would return with joy!

Excellent modern hotel

This hotel has been renovated to an excellent standard! It managed to be big but cosy with all modern facilities. The live music in the foyer, breakfast choices, the courtesy of the staff, everything is done for the comfort of the guests.

Lovely hotel with fantastic pools next to the sea

This is probably the best hotel I've ever stayed in. It was luxurious yet felt friendly and relaxed. The staff were excellent. We had 2 rooms with sea view which were very comfortable. The kids loved the pools including the indoor pool which was surprising as it was baking hot outside in August. The treatments and the spa looked tempting but I didn't have the time to indulge. One of the best things about the stay was the buffet breakfast which had absolutely everything you could imagine to eat and drink for breakfast. One of the other best things was the pina colada!

Hotel itself was great. However, the management charged us extra 80% for simply having a toddler with us.

Americans in a European resort

Overall good, but oriented twds European guests, not American ease. For example between 5 and 8pm, you can't get any food in the restaurants, and there are no foods in gift shop either, surprising for a 4 star hotel, that charges pretty stiff prices. The location is wonderful though if you like water. Buffett was plenty of choices, yet not very tasty, all kind of unseasoned and lacking special flavor

Best Resort Property in Porec

I've been going to Porec for 5 years now, primarily in the summer months. The Parentium is far and away the nicest resort in the area and usually the most expensive. It is the only property I know of in the area with a beach that can be described as sandy. The staff has always been a little chilly. Being massively concerned with the number of people in your room. I learned a couple of years back to always book for two people because it costs the same as one on the internet, but if you only book for one person and show up with two they charge you 100% more at the check in desk for the second person. Conversely if you book for two and only show up with one they will badger you endlessly about the second person until you tell them, yes on this trip I'm traveling alone, but I book a ways out and that is not always true. The staff go through the motions here and seem to lack any real warmth or service.

In Sauna was from 7pm no water and no tea to drink. Other was fine.

Wonderful hotel right on the beach

We had to leave very early to catch our ferry to Venice, the hotel were very thoughtful prepared breakfast boxes for us to take them with us, love this place!

Hotel staff was not very helpful or friendly. Almost felt like an all-inclusive where they didn't care about your stay. Except for when we ate one meal ala carte where we had a great waiter. Check-in and out staff were only average for the price paid at this hotel.

Good hotel for relaxing by the pools!

Nice hotel on its own little peninsula. Fantastic swimming pools, one fresh, one salt water. Spacious room, but double bed was 2 singles pushed together. Clean, good air conditioning, but not much water pressure at peak times. Nice location, but a bit soulless as just hotels, Purec 3km away!

disappointing

A little disappointing. Hotel itself is nice,clean,great view. Reception staff did switch our room for us, as we booked the most expensive suite for the view and balcony. It had neither due to a concrete wall. But she never even mentioned parking, I went to the room while my husband parked the car. There was available hotel parking but you needed a key and we still really do not know if it is free or a fee as we were given no info at all on any hotel facilities at reception. Check in seemed to be an imposition all in all.

Great hotel to totally relax

We travel a lot every year, mostly cruises, but this hotel is one of the best we have ever stayed in. From the moment we got to the hotel we were totally relaxed. The lobby bar area is spacious and comfortable with a pianist/band playing music every night. Nothing loud just nice atmosphere. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a large bathroom. All fully air-conditioned with tv. What more could anyone want? The gardens are tidy with hammocks to relax in amongst the trees, lots of lovely walks, and of course swimming pools and very comfy sun loungers. A small marina nearby with water ski-ing. Food at the hotel was good although sometimes not very warm. Plenty of choice though. Hopefully we will revisit this hotel in the near future

Corporate feel to family holiday

This was a hotel that all our family needs, food was excellent, healthy and fresh with good choice for adult and hold alike. A little more organised activities for children may have been nice especially as the weather was poor.

Highly recommend this hotel even though it is a short drive outside Porec it is a peaceful beautiful location! We stayed in room 405 & had the most amazing sea views & view overlooking pool etc? Lovely hotel in a superb position .

This hotel is in a beautiful area overlooking the sea and surrounded by wooded areas. Room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean with walk in wet room shower in bathroom . Lovely outdoor terrace for dining and also lounge terrace for drinks. Swimming pool lovely with swim up bar and large indoor pool with spa. Ferry to Porec town right in front of hotel was good runs every hour. Wouldn't hesitate to go back to this hotel .

A perfect retreat

The hotel is impressive, public areas are all fitted out to a high standard. Comfortable lounge areas, inside & out, and the pool areas are amazing, with views across the bay which at sunset are something else! The bedrooms were very well equipped, with large balconies, even a chocolate on the pillow on arrival! The locality of the hotel is perfect for Porec! A little train runs to Porec and takes 15 mins to reach the harbour! Around the hotel is other little restaurants & cafés where you will find friendly locals offering beautiful dishes. Unfortunately the same cannot be said about the hotel staff- this is the only let down, in a word grumpy! From the restaurant to the bar it seemed trouble to even ask for a drink just not what you expect! We had stayed at different hotels during our trip and this was the first where the staff looked through you! We were half board & probably on a return stay would not choose this option as there are some fantastic places to eat in the surrounding area & Porec with very friendly staff!

Amazing place, you really should go!

My wife and I went for three nights recently and loved it. Apparently the hotel has been extensively refurbished recently and it shows, rooms and bathrooms are beautiful with high end spec throughout. Really nice swimming pools and the spa facilities were incredible, four different saunas, indoor pool and all the usual treatments available including excellent massage. The prices were great too, about 1/3 what you'd pay in Italy for this quality. We were half board and although the breakfast was great I'd only go b&b next time and either use the a la carte restaurant or pop over the road and have the best crayfish pasta I've ever eaten again!

Tolles Hotel mit kleinen Schwächen

Grundsätzlich ein sehr schönes Hotel direkt am Meer. Es waren ein paar Punkte, da an einer perfekten Bewertung gefehlt haben: - Der Innenpool öffnet erst um 9 Uhr, so dass man vor dem Frühstück nicht schwimmen gehen kann (draußen sind die Pools nicht beheizt). - Das Essen war gut, aber nicht von bester Qualität - Der Saunabereich hat genau 5 Haken, an denen man die Handtücher aufhängen kann. Bei der Größe des Hotels war natürlich alles überfüllt, so dass wir direkt wieder rausgegangen sind. Resümee: Im Sommer vermutlich alles topp, aber im Herbst gibt es noch Potenzial.

Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Als mangelhaft zu bewerten ist die Freundlichkeit und Serviceorientierung der Kellner im Buffetrestaurant. Tische werden nur auf mehrmaliges Bitten neu eingedeckt, es dauert sehr lange, bis man Getränke bestellen kann, trotz dessen, dass die Tische sehr klein sind, werden leere Teller nur sehr selten abgeräumt, insgesamt suggeriert das Servicepersonal Lustlosigkeit. Das geht definitiv besser.

Für jeden was dabei

Personal in Summe sehr freundlich. Mitarbeiter beim Check In eher unfreundlich. Hier hätten wir uns, zumal wir das erste mal da waren, mehr Informationen gewünscht. Die Sauberkeit ist nochmals besonders hervor zu heben.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Waren froh das wir ein Auto mithatten. 5 Kilometer vom Zentrum entfernt. Bummelzug ist zu überlastet und fährt nicht ins Zentrum von Porec. Und kostet pro fährt und Person 8.-

Wir waren jetzt schon öfters im Hotel Parentium. Trotz voller Belegung war der Service hervorragend. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das liegt wohl auch daran, dass es ein festes Team ist. Einige Gesichter sind uns aus den Vorjahren bekannt. Einzig negativer Aspekt sind die laute Musik aus den benachbarten Hotels und die Partyboote die hier immer wieder ablegen. Ich möchte nicht wissen wie es im Sommer zu geht.

Nio dagar utanför Porec

Ett mycket fint och fräscht hotell, bra planerat och fin utsikt, dock en bit utanför. Det fanns ett par restauranger i närheten samt en på hotellet som du kan nyttja för lunch. Det är bra utbud på frukosten, ibland tar brödet/bullarna, kaffet, eller något annat slut. Nästan vid varje måltid får du jaga serveringspersonalen för att få köpa dricka eller få bestick, muggar mm. Om du är vegan/vegetarian då hade jag vänt mig till ett annat hotell. Det är många som arbetar i restaurangen, men servicen är riktigt dålig. Otroligt fina pooler! Bra med solsängar, men det gäller att hålla sig framme. Parkeringen är stor och bra, men väldigt trångt. Rummen är fina och städningen är bra. Det är inga aktiviteter på hotellet, lugnt och skönt. Det finns en båt som går till Porec ett par hundra meter från hotellet.

Es ist ein sehr schönes ruhiges Hotel, das Zimmer wurde täglich gereinigt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, die Außenanlage sehr groß und gepflegt. Viel Platz und Auswahl, ob am Pool, auf der Wiese unter den Bäumen oder direkt am Meer, dass am Hotel angrenzd. Das Büfett war sehr vielfältig und für jedermann was dabei. LG Rita und Christian

Hotel Parentium - wunderbar!

Die Lage des Hotels auf einer mit alten Bäumen bewachsenen Halbinsel ist nicht zu toppen. Wenn man in seiner Liege auf der Wiese des Hotels unter den wunderbaren Nadelbäumen in den Himmel schaut, kommt es einem paradiesischen Zustand schon sehr nahe. Die ganze Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und sowohl die Bereiche im Haus, beim Pool und am Strand sind wunderbar gewartet und sauber. Das Personal war vorwiegend sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Service für die Badetücher für Pool und Strand ist sehr angenehm. Am Buffet war sowohl morgens als auch abends immer genug Abwechslung geboten. Der Kaffee zum Frühstück hätte unserer Meinung nach Verbesserungsbedarf. An einigen Tagen schmeckte er so, als würde er schon stundenlang in der Kanne gestanden sein. Gewünscht hätten wir uns noch, dass nicht immer alle Handtücher im Bad ausgetauscht werden. Im Sinne von Umweltfreundlichkeit und Sparsamkeit sollten nur die Handtücher getauscht werden, die man auf dem Boden liegen lässt.

Es war alles perfekt. So wie auf den Bildern- und noch besser. Vom Personal, Essen, Sauberkeit etc. Ist alles so wie wir uns gewünscht haben.

Hotellet har fantastisk beliggenhed. Rund om hotellet er skov og den har skabt sammen et godt og fantastisk sted til af nyde natur og bruge tid tid afslapning og to i sjæl. Dette er lige meget, hvor mange gange vi trækker vejret, men hvor meget det er værd.

Laguna Parentium is een fijn hotel. Wij zijn er voor de 4e keer geweest en hopen volgend jaar voor de 5e keer te gaan. Het is een mooi modern hotel van alle gemakken voorzien voor mensen die van rust houden. Voor kinderen is het een minder leuk hotel. Wij nemen geen dinner omdat het een buffet is waar iedereen staat te dringen. Om het hotel zijn tal van leuke restaurants om te eten.

Auch wenn die Zimmer im Hotel etwas in die Jahre gekommenen sind, ist der Gesamteindruck spitze. (Meist befindet man sich ja außerhalb des Zimmers und liegt an einem der beiden Pools oder am Meer) Das Personal ist freundlich und stets bemüht. Das Essen war lecker und variantenreich. Die beiden Pools könnten ein wenig modernisiert werden. Die Covid Maßnahmen waren leider etwas Mangelhaft - Maske in Innenräumen wurde nur beim Essen verlangt aber die Gäste wurden nicht darauf aufmerksam gemacht wenn sie diese nicht getragen haben.

An sich ein gutes Hotel. Über das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis lässt sich jedoch streiten. Der Service war schrecklich. Das Personal in den Buffet Restaurants, sollte dringend geschult oder ausgetauscht werden. Oft gingen die Kellner einfach an uns vorbei, und wollten lieber abräumen. Zum Abendessen, mussten wir mehrere Kellner ansprechen um eine Getränkebestellung aufzugeben. Die Getränkekarten erhält man, wenn meinen Barcode scannt. Da dieser Barcode jedoch nicht auf allen Tischen steht, haben wir einfach ein Bier und ein Wein bestellt. Dem Kellner total egal welches Bier. Es gab 6 verschiedene auf der Karte (haben wir im Nachhinein herausgefunden). Keine Rückfrage vom Kellner, nichts und natürlich bekamen wir das teuerste serviert haha. Wir haben es einfach hingenommen, weil wir schon seit 25 Minuten dort saßen und einfach nur gemütlich zum Abendessen etwas trinken wollten.. Natürlich waren wir schon längst fertig mit dem Essen, als der Kellner kam, aber OK. Ich sag ja Service = Schlecht. Beim Frühstück genau das gleiche. Die Kellner bringen dir Kaffeekannen und Milchkannen. An sich warum nicht, jedoch wartet man 25 Minuten drauf. Manchmal hat man glück, manchmal nicht. Somit lieber 20 Mal nachfragen, irgendwann bekommt ihr euren Kaffee haha Zum Pool: soweit schön. Aber liebes Hotel: RENOVIERT doch mal bitte die Anlage. Also echt, guckt euch den Pool mal an. Rost - überall. Es fehlen Steine, Abdeckungen. Investiert doch mal paar Euros! Sieht doch schrecklich aus

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub. Das Abendessen war sehr lecker und es gab eine grosse Auswahl an verschiedenen Gerichten. Die grosse Hotel Anlage bietet für jeden etwas, ob nun Pool, Wäldchen oder auch direkt am Meer.

Service Personal, Reinigungskräfte waren sehr zuvorkommend und professionell. Buffets waren sehr vielfältig und sehr gut . Wir sind begeistert von diesem Hotel

Trotz Corona und Vorsaison

Das Hotel ist sehr schön Renoviert, das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Hygienemaßnahmen vorbildlich umgesetzt. Alle Pools waren geöffnet, leider war es draußen noch ein bisschen zu kalt zum Schwimmen. Das Buffet (Frühstück und Abend) sehr reichhaltig und Abwechslungsreich. Die Hotels in der näheren Umgebung waren alle noch geschlossen, daher war es sehr ruhig. In Porec und Umgebung waren sehr viele Geschäfte und Angebote noch nicht geöffnet. Wir hatten trotz der Coronabeschränkungen und der Vorsaison einen wunderschönen, ruhigen Urlaub. Vielen Dank an das freundliche Team.

Die Zimmer waren sehr schön. Die Mitarbeiter sehr zuvorkommend nur leider kein Acht auf das Fitnesstudio trotz Anmerkungen wegen bestimmten Gästen, die oben ohne trainierten und Geräte nicht reinigten, sowie dann auch noch barfuß kamen. Das essen war vorzüglich. Es war für jeden was dabei. Der pool war für uns zu kalt aber sehr schön.
