Great stay in the middle of Oaxaca city!

The hotel is lovely - a beautiful courtyard to relax in, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the rooftop pool offered a lovely spot to relax at the end of long days. I liked having the AC to keep air circulating at night so we could keep the windows closed and the room quiet. The breakfast that was included was a great addition. I got very sick (not due to the hotel) and the staff were very kind.

The most perfect hotel in Oaxaca.

The Parador De Alcala is absolutely fantastic! It is on a busy walking street so you are in the heart of everything yet you hear nothing in your room. Our room’s ceiling was about 25 feet tall. It was very clean and extremely comfortable. The beds were great. The bathroom was roomy and modern. There is a lovely little pool on the roof top with a delightful bartender in the rooftop bar. The hotel is the perfect combination of old Oaxaca charm with modern conveniences. There are lots of galleries, restaurants and shops making the location perfect. The highlight of our stay truly were the staff. From the chamber maid to the waiters and right up to the front desk crew, they were so helpful and really kind. They are what make this hotel even more remarkable. They had great answers for even the silliest question. I will definitely stay here the next time I am here am in Oaxaca and I hope you don’t miss this opportunity as well.

It was all way clean and ease to walk don town

First time in Oaxaca.

This was a beautiful gem in the center of Oaxaca. A two story Colonial? era building. Super quaint. Nice rooftop bar and pool. Very nice restaurant in the courtyard. There is no elevator so be ready for some stair climbing. A repeat for sure

The wait staff and the housekeeping folks were very attentive.

Friendly staff

Great staff and facilities. The pool and bar on the roof is wonderful and has great city views. The room was perfect and I loved the breakfasts.

This hotel is perfectly situated in a street that is closed to motor vehicles, with lots of shopping and dining options very close by. Everything inside is spotless and the staff is kind and highly professional. Bags can be stored before or after check in at no charge. The rooftop pool and bar is lovely with gorgeous views. Breakfast options are free, delicious and are part of the room cost. I will definitely stay here again in the future when I come back to Oaxaca. The only slight deterrent was the loud noise from nearby bars open late on Saturday nights. The front staff brought me ear plugs to help me fall asleep. The A/C and hot water work perfectly at this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Medium size room with great ac, water pressure, and complimentary breakfast (very tasty). Didn’t get a chance to check out the pool although all photos look like the property onsite. Would stay here again!

Great ambiance for earlier, more genteel times. This hotel is charming. It is very centrally located between the cathedral and the downtown central plaza. Rooms are up-to-date with every amenity including central air. My balcony opened onto the main street for a fabulous view of Day of the Dead parades and celebrations. Breakfast was great! I liked everything about this charming hotel in a magical city. I would return in a heartbeat. There for a destination wedding at the cathedral. The trip was superb with the hotel being a major piece of a great time.

In the middle of the historic center

I tend to be a bit wary of boutique hotels, but this time around location was key for me so I chose to stay at el Parador. The hotel is located in the city center, within walking distance of various sites. Taxis and buses are also easy to catch. Shopping and dining options are plenty. It’s a very small and intimate hotel which I enjoyed. Hotel upkeep and condition is excellent. Staff is friendly and helpful. The area is very congested but despite the noise level, my room was quiet. I didn’t stay for very long but hope to stay again on my next visit.

Great location with amazing breakfast

Great experience! Friendly staff! They offer a paid airport shuttle service that you reserve in advance which was punctual and easy to use. Room was clean. Location was great because you could walk to shops, restaurants, cafes, markets, and bars. But my favorite part was the breakfast! Fruit, bread, pastries, coffee, juice, and some local Oaxaca dishes that were very tasty! 5/5 recommend!

Very good hotel,excellent costumer service and very good breakfast

Perfect location!! Right in the center of Oaxaca. You can walk right outside and are immersed in the local markets, food and culture. Staff was friendly and eager to help. Breakfast was included and was served w fresh yummy bread each morning. Would definitely recommend and love to be back!

Right in the heart of the central and can just walk out for dining and shopping options

The hotel had a lovely courtyard where we took lovely breakfasts each morning. The rooftop pool was a much needed respite from the blistering Oaxacan heat. Staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our stay.

Loved the property but will book a larger room next time. Queen room was small and there was no dresser to store clothes which is needed for a 3 day visit.

Vacation in Oaxaca

Excellent location for walking, hotel worked very well for our 8 day stay.

We stayed there in October for a wedding. The room was spacious and clean. Staff was friendly. Service in little cafe wasn't as attentive as I would've liked, but not the end of the world. The location I felt was perfect. Within walking distance to what we were interested in seeing. Only suggestion for the property would be to brighten the lights in the bathroom. They seemed dim. I'd like to compliment the on site travel services provided by Viaje Logica. In particular Margarita Morales. She never tired of my questions, and got us on a couple of excursions which gave us some very nice family experiences. From the above and beyond category, Margarita got us a very nice driver who took us to one of the Mezcal producers outside of town. Well, as luck would have it, I put down the bag with our bottles in it. I called the hotel front desk, and the young lady called the driver. He actually drove all the way back out to the shop and was able to locate our bag and brought it to us in the morning. Very impressed with their level of customer service.

Great hotel in great location

The hotel is very central, in a great location and the rooms are nice and very clean. Breakfast was very good although it could be a little slow some days. The pool was great and allowed us some time to relax. The hotel organised transport for us to and from the airport too which was helpful.

Spectacular service

The service at Hotel Parador was simply excellent - in every way. We loved their breakfast. They did our laundry (in record time). Housekeeping and bell services, top notch. Highly recommend.

The entire experience and staff were amazing. Gerardo and Julio were a part of making it amazing. The food was perfect, the rooftop pool, the room and the location was on point. We will be returning. Shout out to the transportation company too!! Thanks for an amazing first visit!

good location but antiquated. The doors lock system is old and easily fails. The gym is a joke. Breakfast was so so.

Great rooms

The hotel is beautiful and exceptionally clean. The staff is dedicated to ensuring that guests have everything they need. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the location, at the heart of the historic district, can't be beat. Also, there's a tourism agency attached to the hotel that will arrange tours to pre-hispanic ruins, to the mountain villages where crafts are made, and to natural sites like the petrified waterfall. Our stay was perfect.

The service was the best we have received, the rooms were beautiful and comfortable and the food was delicious. It is on a walking street which makes it great for going out and exploring.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Conveniently located two blocks away from Templo de Santo Domingo, many restaurants, artisan shops, markets, and a pharmacy and you can easily walk to many if the city highlights. The hotel is very clean and nicely decorated. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive. The breakfast included on our stay was a major plus and delicious. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Oaxaca ans will be recommending it to friends!

For location excellent. The delux room was big, high ceiling, but sparse. Bed comfy, no coffee or tea making, nor a fridge. Eating area literally outside the room, so a little noisy as they set up for breakfast. Breakfast was a bit meh ! Coffee weak, juice OK, but eggs and main fare a bit stodgy and tasteless - we gave up day 2 and went to local cafe, that was nice. If you don’t want to trip to ruins or museums (we’d been to Mexico City first so seen loads) then 2 days is enough.

A perfect stay!

Gorgeous hotel with very comfortable rooms in a central location. Shower was amazing with plenty of warm water and good pressure. The included breakfast was tasty and the staff were incredibly helpful. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. The beds and the linens in the rooms were luxurious. The rain shower in the bathroom was very nice. The breakfast menu was outstanding. The pool was one of the reasons we chose your hotel. The only recommendation I would make is better lighting in the bathroom. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I would highly recommend Hotel Parador.

Very clean and withing walking distance of everything

Only drawback we found was the lack of an elevator to the roof, my wife who walks with a cane found the stairs tiring to climb also the roof was locked off at seven thwarting any relaxing/photos after sunset

This property is perfectly situated near all tourist spots, no need for a rental car. You can walk to many beautiful sites Oaxaca has to offer. The hotel is clean and staff is very friendly. The breakfast is delicious and their sweet bread is baked fresh every day. Our room was a suite and was spacious and just gorgeous. We will gladly return to Parador de Alcala on our next visit.

Awesome property in a the best location for old town Oaxaca! You couldn’t get a better location to all the best restaurants and sites. Staff where excellent and the travel service attached to hotel was very helpful. They also organized our covid testing which came to our hotel room.

Large and comfortable hotel room in central Oaxaca. The hotel location couldn’t be better. However, service was poor. Staff acted like robots and never smiled. Unfortunately, breakfast had little healthy options, such as yogurt and cereals. On balance, despite the excellent location, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Beautifully decorated, high sealing, very spacious, nice location We didn’t have time to have preincluded breakfast but they prepared tasty sandwiches for us 5am.

This is my place to stay every time I go to Oaxaca. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly, very accommodating. Highly recommend.

Noise rooms

Very noise specially on weekends nights you can hear very loud music until 4am. Live music from clubs around the area. And supposedly we had on of the quiet rooms

Property is very cute. Not really any amenities but rooms are big and clean with tall ceilings.

The hotel has an excellent location, but that is only second to their excellent staff, awesome hotel to stay at in Oaxaca city center.

Concierge very knowledgable, friendly, excellent English. Made to order full breakfast menu that was included was fabulous! Clean rooms (small but e erything you need), friendly and timely service. Central location, best part of Central Oaxaca! I would absolutely stay here again!

Excellent stay - nice location in Centro, hotel is in great condition, front-desk and staff very helpful, breakfast was great each morning. The pool area was nice to relax at after a day of touring. At the higher end cost-wise for the area, but would definitely recommend.

Nice hotel. The parking situation not so good had an early morning flight so the paid parking would not work. Paid parking only available from 9 am to 9 pm. Took 4 hours to find a spot to park on the street. Do not bring a car to this hotel. Staff was friendly hotel was clean and nice. I had a king bed room it was more like a double bed. Was not a comfortable bed

Couldn't be happier! The service was amazing. Rooms were clean. Support, patience and general vibe was outstanding. Safe place to stay in an amazing city. The off-site parking helps a lot and they accommodated us very well with late check out, local info and a temporary parking spot till the garage opened in the morning.
