This is a hotel that you stay at to simply sleep. It’s not an experience and the walls are paper thin. I didn’t feel comfortable taking a shower due to it’s condition. If you are looking to travel on a budget and don’t care for amenities and plush anything then this is your place. However, if you’re used to luxury, this is not the place for you.

If you are looking for a small simple hotel with fantastic staff, near the main shopping area but just far enough from all the noise, then this hotel may be for you. The rooms are clean and well maintained, and we even had a UK socket in our room. Plus you get a free welcome drink (and you may get a snack from the bar free if you are celebrating a birthday). However, there are a few bits you need to be aware of. The breakfast range isn't that big, the lift is quite small, and there are a few bits that you would expect to be in your room but may have to ask for. One of the other things that happened to me was that one of the QR codes in the room put me onto a monthly subscription media website, so watch out for this (it will ask for card details).

The hotel is on a very busy street, and it can be quite noisy outside. This can be a challenge for light sleepers. The hotel itself is wonderful, staff were very friendly and helpful - the room was perfect, clean and comfortable.

Very nice hotel in a good location in centre of Palma. We especially liked the addition of a welcome drink. Hotel and room was modern.

Staff were friendly. Room was cleaned every day and towels changed. The bed was uncomfortable and a lot of noise at night in the rooms above and below. All 3 nights were disturbed.

Nice staff Good location Pricey for what it is

This hotel claims to have A/C but not really… it was extremely hot the entire time and we did not sleep well. Also, during check in the woman did not give helpful tips for parking in the area and we ended up having our car towed. This could have been avoided if she was able to give information about parking. Lastly, we were on the top floor (10th) but had aunts in our room…?!? I would not return to this hotel.

Great location and within a 10-15 minute walk of the main train/bus station, the cathedral , restaurants at Santa Catalina and Passeig del Born. The bus stops to and from the airport are also located within 50 metres of the hotel. The staff are really helpful at providing ideas on what to do and came up with some great suggestions away from the main tourist areas. Maps are available. The rooms are very quiet and clean and include a safe and small fridge. The shower is large with good water pressure. The bed was comfortable and came with a choice of 3 different pillow types which I really appreciated. The breakfast/bar area looks nice but I never used it. Nor did I use the gym. Luggage storage available and they provided a room where I could change and repack before leaving for a late flight. Late check out is also available for a reasonable price. A very positive experience

Fabulous stay at the Palladium

We had an amazing four night stay at the Palladium in the last week in October. The room was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed - although tea making facilities would have been good. The breakfast (included in the price) was great, with a really wide choice which was topped up regularly. All the staff - reception, bar, breakfast and cleaning were friendly and chatted; a special mention for Veronika, who went out of her way to chat to us, offering ideas for trips out and asking if we had enjoyed our day. I would definitely recommend the hotel and will stay there again.

Very modern and central property in Palma. Free breakfast was very good and welcome. Our room was in separate building at back of hotel which probably made them quieter than being on main road at front. Would certainly stay here again although there are lots of good hotels in same area so final decision would be based on overall cost.

Attractive and modern business hotel

I chose the Palladium on the Hotels website. I was travelling solo and for business so location was a priority and it turned out to be perfect. I walked everywhere but there are buses and taxis are inexpensive and the receptionist will call them. I was very happy with my room and particularly that it had a separate shower not one over a bath. So staff were fantastic. I got a welcome drink and the room had a great view. The only negative was that the lifts were tiny and slow but this is not unusual. There is a small.gym and a roof terrace. If I come back for business I would stay here again. I was there for 8 nights.

Very happy overall with everything. Lovely staff great breakfast buffet with even a separate majorca food section. Only one thing that did not work for us personally....washroom sink in the bedroom itself and toilet and shower in a separate bathroom....not sure why that was and we did not like it

The reception staff are fantastic and really nice and helpful but having no air con when it is 23 degrees and being unable to open a window ruined the hotel stay. I barely slept due to it. We asked for air con and was told it wasn't put on until summer but we were told the weather was summer weather! Wouldn't return for that reason as I like to sleep. Breakfast was ok but just bread in one shape or another.

We stayed for 3 nights and found the hotel to be ideally situated for exploring the city. Helpful friendly staff and lovely breakfast buffet. There is also a great choice of bars and restaurants within a stone’s throw. Really pleased with this choice and would definitely stay here again.

Smoke Everywhere

My husband and I were here to spend a much needed vacation. We booked the palladium thinking it was a 4-star hotel with 4-star ratings. We were very surprised to walk into the hotel to find a smoking lounge in the lobby. Doors wide open. I asked the front desk clerk if this was a non-smoking hotel to which he replied ‘of course.’ Seems contradictory as the smoke from the lobby followed us to the 7th floor bedroom. I am allergic to smoke and asked them right away what our options were. They were not helpful in assisting with a different room or with a refund. I called hotels.com in a panic and they assisted in finding an amazing hotel that was not much more expensive then the palladium. If going to Palma de Mallorca and you are not a smoker - I do not recommend the palladium.

Great location helps save on transportation costs

Nice newer hotel, doesn't feel out dated or worn. This was a great location, you can walk everywhere in oldtown/downtown and even catch the city bus for 1.5 euro per person. We took the 20 min bus ride up to Playa Illetes-- huge savings over a taxi for the same time to get there. Breakfast was very nice, coffee was great. We had to leave at 430am and they set us out a little sit down breakfast before our flight. They have smart TVs in the room. We didnt plan to watch any TV on our vacation, but it was nice to sit and watch a movie on Netflix one night after having a long day. The only thing that was less than great was the bed. It's pretty firm, but that seems to be quite typical in Europe. They were however more comfortable than another Palma hotel we stayed at earlier in the week. The staff were very friendly and helpful! Our power converter wasn't working so they lent one from their lost and found box. Welcome sangria (can redeem coupons when you're ready) on the terrace was very nice as well. Hotel view was of the city, cathedral, and sea. Cathedral was about 15 min. walk along the main street-- which is a safe and pretty walk. We stayed here 5 days and would again.

Stayed here for 2 nights as a base to explore Palma de Mallorca. Very friendly staff at reception and the welcome drink was a nice touch. Cosy, clean and functional room. Nice selection at breakfast

Modern Hotel

Good breakfast and friendly staff. Generally spoke English. Easy to find and well situated. Small and modern - only about 50 rooms in total over 10 floors. Odd layout in that some rooms are in a linked annex. Solarium is on 4th floor and overlooked by surrounding buildings; limited views from hotel except from "superior" rooms. Our "Superior" room was comfortable and had live UK tv but was smaller than we anticipated, but did have distant view of harbour.

not as expected

the photos definitely looks nicer than the hotel in real life. my favorite part is the bathroom, the bathroom is very clean and modern. the room itself is quite narrow and not very modern as it shown in the pics. the elevator and hallway leading to the rooms were my least favorite part, pretty sketchy and run down. i would think this is more a 3 star hotel and def not 4 stars. although location made up for it, very central and lots around the area and wifi is great.

Convenient city centre hotel.

Very easy to get to, the airport bus into town stops outside. Hotel is modern has a pleasant cocktail bar and you are given a voucher for a complimentary drink. Beware though, this doesn’t include cocktails. Room and bed were clean and comfortable. A balcony is a welcome extra though mine didn’t have a view. A welcome plus is the free WiFi worked well, something a lot of other hotels could improve on. There is a gym but the equipment is pretty basic. Breakfast was good with the welcome addition of Mallorcan specialities. Hotel reception staff very friendly and helpful.

6 Night Mallorca Stay

Stayed in this lovely hotel for 6 nights with my partner. Hotel was very clean & had a nice buffet breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location great, just at the top of the shopping district, easy 15 min walk to the old town. The only annoying thing was that the wifi didn't seem to be working outside the room.

Great hotel for a short city break!

This was a great hotel in an excellent location - the bus from the airport stops right outside the front door. The hotel was clean and generally modern throughout, all except slightly dated lights in the room and the stairwell that clearly hadn’t been modernised past the first floor. The room had its own Wi-fi so a very fast connection, and Apple TV which was a nice addition. The breakfast buffet had an excellent selection and everything was being quickly replenished. There was also a mini bar in the room that was big enough for us to put some large bottles of water into to keep cool. Also, the air conditioning in the room was very good and kept the room nicely cool. The only downside was that when we asked for an ironing board we were told that there was only one and another guest had it, but this was not a major issue. The hotel was within easy walking distance of the cathedral, harbour, and the beach was only a 30 minute walk too. There was a good amount of nice bars and restaurants on the same street as the hotel, and many more a short walk away. All in all, a great hotel to stay in for a short break in Palma!

Excellent as always

Average Hotel

We found this hotel to be average, not good, not bad but poor value for money. The biggest issue for us was our room was not as advertised. We booked a "city view" double and the photos on the listing showed room-wide, floor to ceiling windows overlooking the leafy canal and this was our main reason to book. However when we arrived our "view" was through two narrow windows onto parked cars and graffiti roller doors in a side street. Because the room was on floor one, passers by on the street (and the apartments in the building opposite) looked into our windows meaning our whole stay we had to keep the curtains closed. I'd be very wary of booking a room with a "view". Staff were average and not very welcoming. Not outwardly rude but not friendly. Check-in was a silent affair and besides the bar man taking our welcome drink order, no one else spoke to us. We weren't even greeted or spoken to at the breakfast buffet. On the positive side the breakfast was okay and our room was clean with a nice bathroom area. The TV also had a few english speaking channels and the curtains blacked out all light for a sleep in. Location wise this is probably just on the edge of where you'd want to be to see the sights of Palma old town but close to the airport bus stop. Maybe if you get a cheap deal or are traveling for business and just need somewhere no frills to stay then this hotel is okay. But we won't be back.

It's an easy walk to the main attractions and lots of restaurants in Palma. Great wifi. Small for two, but clean rooms. Note, the elevator is very small.

Great service in a good location

Very clean and well maintained hotel. Staff all very helpful. Our room was fairly compact, with a small shower, but for a few nights it was perfectly fine. We had a great view of the cathedral from our window which was a bonus. Breakfast was good - plenty of choice with cold meats, pastries, yogurt, fruit, and a couple of hot items. We were given vouchers for a drink at the bar which was a nice touch. The location was great for sightseeing (within walking distance of the old town, shopping, restaurants, cathedral, etc.) but wasn't in a busy area, so it was pretty quiet. We would be happy to stay here again.

Nice hotel for a city break

Fantastic location ten mins walk to the seafront all level walking five mins walk from old town breakfast was very ample eggs sausage bacon breads cheese ham etc only ten euros for bottle of house red in the bar or 8 tapas and a bottle of red for 18 Euro
