SHOCKING SERVICE, DO NOT STAY! Our room was flooded on the first night due to the drainage, so I called reception and all they could say was someone will fix tomorrow. All our stuff was soaked which was very annoying. Following day they had said it'd been fixed, but the problem remained. They eventually agreed to change room but didn't even offer any compensation despite it being a downgrade. If not for the issue above, the stay would have been mediocre at best anyway, food was incredibly average, pool was cold, definitely learnt my lesson staying at a cheap hotel, you get what you pay for I guess.

Nice hotel

Enjoyed our stay. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Rooms were very clean. We were half board and found that there was a good selection of freshly prepared food for breakfast and dinner. Most of the other guests were German and there were no English language channels on the TV. Hotel was handy for bus stops to Palma and the airport and a short walk from the beach

Really nice hotel. Walking in reception/lobby area feel luxurious. Staff was friendly, not so welcoming at reception when I came. However when I checked out was very friendly. Room is nice and comfortable, however wasn’t decorated like the picture, loved the bathroom. The Tv had no English Channels everything was in German. Breakfast was decent but could be in improved. Housekeeping is decent however could be improved a lot as they don’t speak English. Pool area is nice took some amazing photos. It’s very close to the beach and in a good area to go out to restaurants, clubs and shisha bars. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic! The only note was the fan a bit loudly, but I slept well. Great mattress and room incredibly clean and nice! Staff super friendly and kind and they let me to have a shower even after the checkout. Close to the beach and all the amenities. Great price for a great hotel. Thanks a lot!

Uncontrolled german youths

The hotel itself was ok but the guests! 80% of the guests were young german boys and girls in groups( 17-20 years old) Not one night I could sleep through. They had parties in their rooms until 4 am. They were loud, slamming doors .. Etc. i wasnt even able to open my door to the balcony beacuse they were so loud. Wouldnt even dare to sit outside. I think there should be clear rules about this. It really ruined my holiday.

Overall we thought this hotel was great value for money. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable. The hotel was airy and spacious, the staff were courteous and helpful, and the food (breakfast) was very good. It is very clear that the Oleander caters to their main customer base, which is mainly German. This means, for example, that almost all tv stations in the rooms are in German and the evening entertainment was in German as well. This did not bother us, however, as we were only in Mallorca for a long weekend and did not spend much time in the hotel. The cleanliness and location are enough to bring us back!

overall we had a lovely time at the Hotel Oleander and found it very good value for money. The bedrooms were "tired" but exceptionally clean and the breakfast was excellent. Makes for a good base if on a budget.

Very basic

Very basic, you get what you pay for. No English channels. No remote controls for the tv's; you have to put down a ten euro deposit. In room phone has no note of actual service numbers to call, Best to just ask at reception, not many of the staff speak English so can be a bit difficult. An ok hotel location wise; aprox 8minute walk to the beach, 10 minute drive to the airport. Hotel is ideal if you are looking to spend most of your time out and about

The bed was so hard. The rooms and bathroom were so old. There was a lot of noice from the ground floor even though we stayed 2 floors above.

I've been there for 5 days, and i have been with the same bed lingerie which was dirty. When they cleaned the room, the pillow was trow down on the floor - i could see hair and dirt on it afterwords. It is said is a 3 star hotel but we did had shower gel and shampoo for 2 days only. When asked for more shampoo, they said we should buy from supermarket... If you don't want a clean hotel room, and bring your own shampoo and stuff if could be ok. However, the hotel looks like a modern hotel in the year 90s. Everything is old and most of the people that join this hotel are old. The noise isolation of the room is also very bad. I could hear a baby crying for 3 days on the next room, like he was in the same room with me. Think twice before you chose this.

Oleander - Playa de Palma - Majorca

Excellent breakfast, clean rooms, nice balcony, nicely presented hotel and excellent for 3 star. Close to beach and bus stops - buses every few minutes to Palma and half hourly to airport. Downsides - although I was only B&B, couples are expected to share a table for dinner with another couple which may not suit everyone - especially as you were allocated the same table for the entire stay. Complimentary toileteries not replenished without asking during whole week.

Great hotel

This was a great hotel. Although the hotel is generally stayed in by Germans this was not a problem at all, with everybody very friendly. The walls of the rooms are a bit thin and you just may over hear the odd conversation but everything in the hotel was fantastic.

Good location for Platja de Palma (beach) and airport. A little further to city centre Palma but bus connections plenty (if no strike is going on). Hotel room is basic but clean. Did not use restaurant. Reception staff & security staff is friendly & helpful.

Great hotel - not used by british travellers

This hotel has all the facilties you would expect from a good quality hotel in Majorca. The hotel is in a resort well placed for both the airport and the city of Palma. The downside to the hotel is that it is not often used by British travellers and when we were there it was full of German tourists. This should not put you off using this hotel, it just means that the standards remain high as demanded - the food however, is tailored to their taste and that is the only reason I have reduced by overall rating on this great hotel.

perfect for my short break in Mallorca

I stayed at the oleander for just under a week for a short break in Mallorca to attend a friends wedding. I cannot fault the hotel in anyway to be honest. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, nice little bar and pool ... kept very clean. Very near the beach and bus stop for Palma city. Everything very easy about staying here. My only problem would be with the other guests holding the sun loungers with their towels - I thought this was a myth, pretty selfish and annoying though.

Hotel Oleander in Playa de Palma is a very good hotel for the price. Facilities pretty good but rooms a bit basic, all in all I would definitely go back, no real complaints.

Good service for little money.

My experience at Oleander was very positive. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. Even though it was quite cold outside, my room was warm. The breakfast was good. For the price, you really can't beat it. The only problem was that I used google maps to find it, and the location in google was incorrect.

the hotel is in a fantastic location, 1 block from the beach. One thing we really enjoyed was the free hotel breakfast buffet. The very negative aspect was the fact that the hotel doesn't except credit cards--which also means that you cannot charge items to your room. We would have spent a lot more time and money there if we could. the rooms are very ordinary, small and stuffy. The beds are just OK and the pillows were atrocious--paper thin! I would only recommend this hotel if you are the type that doesn't spend much time at the hotel, and on Mallorca that is very easy to do!

Das Hotel ist vom Flughafen sehr gut mit dem Bus oder dem Taxi (20 Euro) erreichbar. Die Strandpromenade ist sehr nahe und es gibt unzählige Supermärkte und Restis in der Nähe. Auch Autovermietungen. Das Buffet am Morgen und am Abend war ganz OK und die Preise für Getränkr waren günstiger wie an den Strandbars. Die Musik war zwar da, aber dezenter wie in anderen Hotels. Ich habe mich hier wohl gefühlt. Das WLAN war eher langsam.

El hotel esta bien, El servicio es excelente tanto en la recepción, como los camareros que te atienden en desayuno y cena. La comida está bien con bastante variación de platos. Las atracciones un poco flojillas en relación al resto, aunque hay que tener en cuenta que estamos en época de eurocopa. Como anécdota comentar que "Todos los clientes eran alemanes, creo que éramos los únicos españoles, al menos durante la semana que hemos estado. Las habitaciones están muy bien, aunque algunos muebles estaban deteriorados. Hemos tenido un pequeño problema con el aire acondicionado a nuestra llegada y rápidamente fue solucionado. La situación del hotel es muy buena muy cerca de la una buena playa, aunque me temo que en Julio y agosto habrá mucha gente. Conclusión si vuelvo a Mallorca, miraré el mismo hotel.

Super Lage. 3 Minuten zu Fuß zum Strand und 5 Minuten mit dem Auto zum Flughafen. Hotel etwas hellhörig aber das ist wohl normal oder n großen Hotels. Tägliche Zimmerreinigung, nettes Personal, leckeres Essen. Super Lage zu Feier Möglichkeiten oder auch einfach nur zu entspannen. Wir würden nochmal kommen und hier Urlaub machen.

Es war Super toll dort.

Geräumiges Zimmer mit Balkon. Bad mit ausreichend Handtüchern. Alles war sauber und das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Matratzen für meinen Geschmack viel zu weich. Der Bus hält quasi um die Ecke, mehrere Linien zur Auswahl, mit denen man gut, günstig und bequem in die Stadt und zum Flughafen kommt.

Nettes Personal, Zimmer geräumig, Betten bequem. Leider war das Zimmer etwas dunkel mit Blick auf den Parkplatz, wo ständig Reisebusse mit laufendem Motor standen. Halbpension war gut, etwas sterile Atmosphäre im Speisesaal und es war sehr voll. Nette Poollandschaft. Abends gab es Unterhaltungsprogramm in der Bar, das war lustig. Viele Rentner mit Reisegruppen!

Preis/Leistungen stimmen hier. Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet und sauber, werden tägliche gereinigt. Hotel an sich nett und sauber und voralem die riesige Poollandschaft punktet für mich persönlich schon, Abstriche beim Essen/ Frühstück noch ok , aber Abends mal so und so( nur eingeschränkt zu empfehlen) Aber Geschmäcker sind unterschiedlich, aber wir waren mit 2 weiteren Pärchen da die es genau so gesehen haben! Aber Hotel mit Frühstück fast 4 Sterne wert, mit HP passen die 3 Sterne auch die dieses Hotel ja hat. Aber wir haben uns alle wohl gefühlt und das Personal sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Jeder Zeit wieder, aber nur mit Frühstück dann.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel per 10 giorni e ci sono state diverse cose che non funzionavano. Questionario delle recensioni del hotel era solo in inglese e in tedesco non in spagnolo quando la lingua madre è lo spagnolo! La chiave elettronica della stanza praticamente non funzionava. La sicurezza in caso d’incidenti è pessima, ne sappiamo qualcosa noi che è suonata l’allarme antincendio 3 volte alle 3 di notte e tutt’ora nessuno sa cosa sia successo, non è stato evacuato l’albergo, sono uscite solo una 20 di persone. Siamo andati noi dopo 30 minuti a chiedere informazioni in reception e ci hanno risposto molto svogliatamente che non lo sapevano, e noi abbiamo dovuto informare delle altre persone che non parlavano la lingua perché si vedeva proprio che loro, non ne avevano voglia. Durante una cena al buffet, abbiamo finito di cenare compresi i dessert e i camerieri non erano ancora venuti a prendere l’ordinazione delle bibite Wi-Fi funzionava molto male e non in tutte le aeree dell’albergo(sopratutto in stanza) Non consiglio il soggiorno in questa struttura.

Wir waren schon das 7.Mal im Oleander,das sagt schon viel aus. Falls es unsere Gesundheit zulässt soll es auch ein nächstes Mal geben.

Beim Frühstück waren einige Angestellte teilweise eher mit Lästern oder Unterhaltungen über die Gäste beschäftigt, sodass die Schnelligkeit des Services darunter litt. Der Kaffee aus den Automaten ist Sirup, Qualität und Geschmack dermaßen schlecht, ebenso die Säfte nur Nektare mit Zucker und viel zu süß. Viel zu viel Fleisch und zu wenig gesundes und vegetarisches/veganes Essen. Auch mehr frisches Obst und nicht nur aus der Konservendose wäre schön. Ich wollte ein schönes Zimmer und bekam ein ruhiges, aber sehr kleines Zimmer, welches nicht meiner gebuchten Kategorie DZ als EZ entsprach. Auch gab es nur zwei Handtücher anstatt vier. Diese waren nach einer Nutzung völlig unbrauchbar, weil sie alt sind und nach dem Abtrocknen direkt klatschnass waren. Die Betten sind mit 1,80 doch sehr kurz. Auch sind sie eher hart, wie Ausklappbetten. Am Pool sollte nicht geraucht werden dürfen, der Außenbereich der Bar reicht dafür vollkommen und es sind dafür genügend Tische vorhanden. Die Geruchsbelästigung durch teilweise Zigarren ist doch schon ziemlich ekelhaft, zumal dort auch Kinder liegen. Nur zwei Aufzüge für so viele Zimmer vorhanden. Das Wifi hatte ebenfalls viele Aussetzer. Und am Pool war es gar nicht verfügbar.

Das war nicht der erste und auch nicht der letzte Aufenthalt im Oleander. Ich komme immer gerne zurück. Schöne kleine Poolanlage.

Zimmer sauber 3 Minuten zum Strand

War alles in Ordnung!

Die Anlage ist sehr schön , großer Pool mit genügend Liegen ,nette Bar und Abends mit Unterhaltung auf einer kleinen Bühne. Zimmer haben alles was man braucht und Sauber, es gibt sogar einen kleinen Kühlschrank auf den Zimmern. Negativ ist das Essen , Speisen waren oft lauwarm bis kalt und die Nachspeisen dann wiederum zu warm.... z.B. Pudding oder eine Mousse sollten kalt sein / waren aber immer auf Zimmertemperatur! Daher beim Essen riesen Abzug!!! Aber Hotel mit Frühstück ist ok....aber HP würde ich hier nicht mehr buchen!

Generell gut, aber das Zimmer sollte mal bearbeitet werden. Klimaanlage und Deckenventilator funktionierten nicht besonders gut, im Zimmer nachts 30 grad, das ist inakzeptabel. Verkratzte Wände und Wasserschaden an der Bad-Decke? Kühlschrank im Zimmer sollte anscheinend 18 grad für Medikamente haben, in Wirklichkeit funktionierte das Gerät einfach garnicht. 1 Kakerlake im Bad, was für Spanien an sich keine Besonderheit ist. Alles in allem würden wieder Urlaub machen.

Top: - Bushaltestelle direkt um die Ecke - Strand in 2 Minuten erreicht - großes Bad, viel Stauraum im Schrank - Personal meistens sehr freundlich - netter, weitflächiger Poolbereich Mässig: - TV-Programme nur mit Störungen - Frühstück zwar ausreichend aber langweilig und immer gleich Flop: - unfassbar hellhöriges Haus - Partypeople die ordentlich krach machen bis 04.00 Uhr morgens, interessiert keinen an der Reception - bei Fragen an der Reception immer wieder andere Auskünfte - ständig Ausfall des Zimmertürgangs (Chipkarte) Fazit: Für ein 3-Sterne-Hotel sehr ordentlich aber nicht mehr als eine Woche Urlaub.

Das Zimmer war sehr enttäuschend. Die Wände hatten löcher, das Badezimmer sah sehr katastrophal aus. Die Lobby und der Pool war optisch schön, das Personal war sehr angenehm.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit gutem Service, nur 200 meter vom Strand. Frühstück und Abendessen sind für den Preis gut. Pool Umgebung sehr schön gestaltet.

Sehr netter Empfang, Zimmer sauber und zweckmäßig . Nicht weit zum Strand aber trotzdem sehr ruhig.

Bien. Personnel trés aimable et présent. Par contre, ce qui m'a déplu le plus, c'est le menage qui n'est pas fait dans les chambres. Sauf, serviettes changées tous les jours. En ce qui concerne la restauration, grand buffet, beaucoup de choix, mais pas de qualité (les Allemands avaient l'air trés satisfaits de la nourriture !😁😉😉) L'hôtel en général est bien et propre. Je le recommande.

Die Zimmer waren sehr modern, sauber und vom Platz her ausreichend. Auch das Frühstück war für ein 3 Sterne Hotel gut. Die Hotelanlage war gepflegt und der Pool war großzügig. Rundum ein sehr gutes 3 Sterne Hotel.

Wir waren mit dem Hotel sehr zufrieden. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit, aber wir hatten auch nur wenig Kontakt mit diesem, da alles zur vollsten Zufriedenheit war. Für ein 3 Sterne Hotel ist dieses auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert! Bis zum Strand sind es nur wenige Meter. Dieser ist auch etwas vom ganzen Ballermann Trubel und man kann etwas entspannen. Der Bierkönig ist zu Fuß in 20 Minuten zu erreichen. Das Essen können wir leider nicht bewerte, da dies nicht Bestandteil unser Buchung war. Die Lage des Hotels ist relativ gut, die Busanbindung ist auch gut. Das Hotel ist leider sehr hellhörig, es wurde „notdürftig“ renoviert. Das Frühstücksbüffet + Abendessen ist relativ eintönig. Satt wird man aber trotzdem.

Also alles in allem ein wirklich super Hotel sehr sauber gutes Essen und alle freundlich ich komme jederzeit gerne wieder! Nur das W-LAN hat leider nicht funktioniert dafür gibts ein kleines Minus!

War ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt. Hotel überwiegend von älteren Menschen besucht, daher sehr ruhig.

Personal nett, Sauberkeit gut und große Poolanlage

Tolle Lage, ruhig gelegen und trotzdem alles gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Check- in könnte schneller ablaufen. Frühstück recht gut, Zimmer fast neuwertig und sauber. Mit der Buslinie 21 Airport-Arenal schnell zu erreichen. Busticket kostet 5 Euro, Haltestelle Cupido. Sehr ruhiges Hotel mit vielen älteren Gästen. Kein Partyhotel, sehr gut für den erholsamen Schlaf ;-) Insgesamt ohne Bedenken zu empfehlen.

Ruhig aber zentral gelegen. Man kam überall gut zu Fuss hin. Mit dem Bus ist man schnell vom Flughafen da. Der Pool war ein Traum.

Il y a mieux

Personnel de la réception parlant d'office en allemand même si nous répondions en espagnol. Problème technique avec notre porte de chambre qui ne se fermait pas, autant dire que durant les nuits je n étais pas rassurée, et malgré nos demandes durant 4 jours rien n a été réglé. Quant au ménage dans les chambres, cela se résumait à ajouter un rouleau de papier toilette et refaire le lit. Ce qui sauve cet hôtel ce sont le personnel de la piscine, la proximité avec la plage.

Einzelzimmer vor nicht allzu langer Zeit hübsch renoviert, bis auf Kleinigkeiten überwiegend sauber, keine Ablage im Bad und auch der beschriebene Schreibtisch im Zimmer fehlte (Kosmetik & Co also besser zu Hause lassen :-), Bad klein aber bis auf fehlende Ablagen ausreichend - mit Dusche anstatt wie beschrieben mit Badewanne, in dem Zimmer Richtung nahegelegenem Flughafen war manchmal etwas Lärm bei Start/Landung der Flugzeuge zu hören, Zimmergröße leider nicht wie bei Expedia angegeben 25m² sondern nur ca. 15m². Gepflegter kleiner Außenbereich mit Pool, zahlreichen Liegen, Tischen und direktem Zugang zur Hotelbar. Internet in den öffentlichen Bereichen inbegriffen - funktionierte überwiegend.
