Friendly staff and affordable facility.
The cleaning staff are nice. But the rest of the staff are super unhelpful and rude. The restaurant is a complete ripoff. They have children working there. Unable to speak to customers. They will mess up your order and then blame you. Avoid this place if you’re looking for a place to relax.
El proceso para el Check in fue lento. Esperamos más de media hora.
Facilities were clean, but dated (hotel is in need of a refresh) There was a mouldy smell in the room which further supports my suggestion of a refresh of facilities Staff were very friendly Hotel is located close to certain areas such as the boardwalk and downtown old panama, shopping, and restaurants Restaurant food good and affordable prices
Cool!
Property is OK, but breakfast is not the best in town. Not too many options. Rooms are big but the general facilities need some renovation or improvement. Great location. I recommend it for short stays and if you are not going to be to much time inside the hotel.
Nice
The location was quiet clean and safe. The staff are so pleasant and helpful. We got our room clean everyday towels changed and our bed linen changed often. It was a great stay I would definitely come back again
Great stay on a budget. A little older but to be expected. Staff was very friendly.
Comfortable Place
The staff was alwsys helpful, accomodsting, and pleasant. The building is clean .There is a resturant on site. I would have loved a bench in the shower and coffee in the room. There is always something else we want. I would definetly stay here again. Stop by and see for yourself !
I got to the room and the whole floor was dirty, I left the room in the middle of the night and took another hotel
Located in a good central area, markets around, metro is near. A very good hotel for what it charges. I recommend.
Friendly staff, the room was clean and the food is excellent. The hotel is in walking distance to a Suoer market and restaurants.
Great location, close to everything. Their staff was always willing to help from the most part. Great. Really Great value! I stayed a week and will choose it again.
Had to clean the heavily finger printed windows myself. Disgusting. The "gym"? Couldn't stand to be in there for a minute, let alone get a workout. Smelled moldy, big time. Worried I'd invite lung infection by staying. Staff knew very little English and was only marginally friendly. Also, avoid taxi stalking you outside. Rip off!
Limited amount of people that speak English
Very conveniently located. Not the best area to walk after dark, but not the worst either. It is safe enough, but the sidewalks could use some repair and the garbage needs to ne cleaned up. Great staff!
If I am going back to Panamá I will definitely be staying there
I am sick and went to emergency room, then i cannot continue my trip. I canceled my flight. Then I tried to ask the hotel to postpone my reservation to October. I and Expedia tried many times before the check in date. But I have been declined by hotel many times. It’s not a friendly place to people.
I spent one night, i didn't get to participate in their breakfast as i left before it started. The room smelled old but was clean and the entrance is awkward for luggages. Staff was exceptional.
Verynice place
Nice front seat service
The hotel is great but next door at the corner there is a house getting gutted it looks bad
Air condirioning was damage in the room , I Waked Up in the middle of the night. Pretty sure they know that was damaged but still give the room to the customers. 3:50 am I leave that hotel to find another one
I love it
No hot water
The hotel did not have an adequate gym, they only have one weight per dumbbell, they have one 15lb weight not two you get what I am saying. Also if you like hot water this is not the place for you, at best they had luke warm water
Well kept and walking distance to the metro station
The breakfast was not appealing, neither the coffee but I feel maybe you get what you paid for. The hotel prices are very reasonable so you cant go wrong. The room size was not bad at all. The beds were comfy but no hot water, it was just luke warm which was fine for me but not for my husband, he likes hot water and showering was not pleasant for him unfortunately.
The hotel is old and dated. The room is small and I saw small bugs and cockroaches in my room. There is no fridge or anything else. The breakfast is very limited and everyone is waiting for the omelette to be made one by one. During my 3 days stay, there was no hot water for the whole building. Stay away if possible. The only good thing about this hotel is the locaion, its a block away from metro (if you use it) and 2 blocks away from supermarket Reys.
It was in close vicinity to Santo Tomas Station, so easy access to the metro train
Our stay was horrible when we checked in the bed didn't have sheets we had to go to the reception to notify them then for the 3 of us we only had 1 towel and we had to go to the reception again, there is absolutely NO hot water the towels were smelly the TV stations were all Spanish and the breakfast was horrible, we were force to check out by 4pm even though we arranged a late check out and the reception demanded that we come downstairs and pay for a 15$ extension, I definitely will not stay here or recommend anyone
No hot water for shower's The safe didn't work There was a problem opening the room door. I had to move to another room The bathroom floor was dangerously slippery. ...
Great stay esp for the price
We booked a room with 3 beds. But when we came we were put in a room with 2. Staff added a bed, which was helpful.
Like personal, dislike property and surroundings.
Room had a odor receptionist was very helpful and changed my room and was very pleasant
Nice place and great value! I would stay again.
A nice, clean, economical place in a decent location. Service was great and the rooms are well kept. My only concern was that I found it loud at nights as the windows were older so there was no way to shut out th ed noise. The air conditioner did a fairly good job of drowning out the noises.
Buen servicio y limpieza
just got one issue with the door
2.5 star hotel not 3.5
This hotel is a 3.5 stars but by American standards its a 2.5 star hotel. Pros - nice restaurant on the rooftop with decent food. The staff is really attentive. 2 min walk to a very nice grocery. Good wifi. About a 10 min uber $4.50 ride to old town. Cons - black mold growing up the wall in some rooms. Construction on the 4th floor that starts before 9 am on the weekends. Hard beds. Sometimes the water gets hot.
Amazing place for the price! The staff is responsible and very professional! Stayed here for 3 nights! Great location close to metro and stores! Offers good breakfast! Felt safe at this hotel! Overall such a great experience! When I come back to Panama will definitely stay here !
Dont really like the area
Good hotel!
Nice hotel, very friendly staff. The room could do with a bit more maintenance, but overall it was nice. Aircon was super high in common areas which is a shame for the environment. Surrounding areas felt safe as a female solo traveler.
Very good value for a budget traveller
I was always greeted with a warm smile at breakfast each day. The hotel is ideal for anyone on a budget and a short stay in Panama. Metro stop and a huge supermarket very close by. My room was also very clean and spacious.
The neighborhood could be intimating but the hotel was safe they have security person 24/7 armed. It was very closed to zona Franca” shopping as wholesale, the parking was gated also, they have their own restaurant on site, employees were very friendly and informative, thanks it was nice we were 3 people but the room have bed for 5
The hotel was good but they need an upgrade in patio furniture..
They charged me a extra $5 to check into my room one hour early which was not a good start considering the room was ready anyway. The breakfast was good value at just over $5 and restaurant staff very good. The Restaurant is open 24 hours which is good. The Hotel manager was very friendly and sorted out a steak meal that was not up to standard . House maids were friendly and do a good job by the cleanliness of the hotel. Receptionist spoke reasonable English and were always willing to help. The Hotel was quiet at night. This Hotel is good for the money charged. Stayed another night on my return from Cuba.
The staff were friendly. Not so close to many restaurants. House maid was friendly and does an excellent job. Manager very helpful.
All good
Buffet breakfast is cheap
Excelent location near Metro line. Relative close walk to Cinta Costera. I didn´t feel any danger.
I was very pleased with the property, only downside was that there wasn't a pool but still good. I adore the receptionist Ruth, she was very friendly, patient and professional 👍
Una propiedad hermosa, limpia y en una gran localidad,.cerca de la.ciudad y lugares de interés.
Great staff
excellent services
Amazing
We had a comfortable stay at this hotel at a very reasonable price.
Everyone was friendly and helpful.
Go somewhere else if you can…
You get what you pay for. Bad service. Not very friendly. Don’t expect much.
No pool. Google Pict show pool. No water no drinks in fridge. , tv wasn’t working call twice for repair finally last day they call them for towels 1 st day never get extra towels. People was friendly thou , many noise around! So dirty around the property. Restaurant was okay. . Very disappointed 😔
Hermosa habitación en suite, muy amables y el desayuno incluido es un plus
Breakfast and lunch very good they understood my none speaking Spanish self and were helpful and gracious
Muy viejo el hotel
Good for the price
Check in was lousy. The receptionist was slow. Hotel was ok . Location was ok
Friendly staff. Breakfast was reasonable. Dinner was excellent. Room spacious and clean, with safe and fridge. Bedding fresh and beds good. Tiny bathroom but clean. Everything worked and water was hot . Decent lobby. Obviously an old hotel which hasn't been updated, located in a more run-down area of the city. I live in Panama and wouldn't consider it an unsafe area though. Nothing to do or see in the immediate area. A couple of very nice Italian restaurants close by. Given the location the value for money is excellent and it is by far the best hotel in that area of the city.
I was good. There was ni iron in room
Beautiful views and quiet. Loved it!
It was pleasant and good and it served it's purpose.
Very affordable and comfortable. People were very nice
.........
The night view on the 6th floor is to die for. There were some things that I find could’ve been better such as; the appearance of the building meaning it needs a paint job and that the bed makes too much of noise other than that I enjoyed everything else.
Clean, good breakfast and good restaurnant,
Hotel Ojos Del Rio stay
It was a nice stay, especially for the price. The location wasnt bad either, the hotel is only minutes from things to do. The restaurant on the 6th floor has an extensive menu, (food and drink) but the options/what they actually HAVE are limited. I recommend going out to eat. If you don't have a microwave in your room, the restaurant will heat your food up for you. The wifi worked really slow at times, if at all, and the connection was pretty weak, I called down to the front desk and the clerk actually reset if for me. It worked great for a little while, but after a day, the connection went back to being sporadic. Overall, it was a good stay, with a few minor hiccups.
Great rooms and good food
Good stay for the price.
Great location nearby public transportation, hospitals, restaurants and more. Prices are OK and rooms are big
Excellent stay at the hotel. Friendly staff.
Booked the property and then airline had to change my flight on day later and I could not change the hotel reservation to the following night even though I tried within 1 hour of booking it. I lost my money for no reason…. I even called the hotel and they said I had to change it thru Expedia. Not happy….
The Parking and the Breakfast is to Poor.
The staff was very accommodating. The room was very clean. The hotel is great just the neighborhood was abit scetchy at night
Everything was Good 😊
Couples
We had a very nice time at the hotel. Location was walkable to many restaurants . The service from Armando & Manuel were definitely 5 star as they really tried to help in any way & resolve any issues.
The room was large enough, clean and modern. There was a table available with chairs so that I could do some work. The internet connection was not super fast, but acceptable. As a whole, the hotel is acceptable and conveniently located about two blocks from the Santo Tomas metro station. There are not many retail options available near the hotel, but the Metro is just a couple of stops from the Albrook Mall and the main bus station. The main issue that I had was with breakfast, Breakfast is from 7 am until 10 am. Be there early, as the items aren’t refreshed or continue to get cold. There is little attention to detail, attractiveness and freshness. * the initial platter of cut fruit isn’t refreshed. Little selection after the initial rush. * food is not hot nor fresh. Items are stale and cool - probably prepared the night before and it shows. * unfamiliar items not labeled. Some are filled with meat products * very little selection for vegetarians * only sliced bread is available with a toaster. Butter and jams are available. * egg station not always staffed and not immediately apparent from buffet. * there are no spoons or stir sticks for the coffee * minor: the saucers for coffee run out quickly * the place mats don’t seem to be cleaned every day * the tables aren’t cleared and cleaned quickly making finding a clean table a challenge at times
Ok for 2 days
Nice place for 1 or 2 days My air on was broken, not cold
The property was clean and the staff was friendly, but this hotel is really overpriced. I felt as if I paid way too much for the accommodations.
Ac unit is not working properly. Also, controls need new batteries.
Friendly staff.
I didn't like the fact that we were locked out of our room twice by ur malfunction door system. Also ur wifi don't pick up properly on the 5th floor.
Nice enough
Ver tiny room ,but comfortable. Would have been fine if I wasnt in quarentine and locked in for 3 days. Staff was wonderful Building needs some upgrading.
I had a very good stay, this is a no-BS, convenient hotel in Panama City. Comparable to the business hotels in any city, and the price is right.
El mejor front desk!
El hotel fijo para urgencias, antojos, salidas. Amo su ubicación, su staff y las habitaciones y si precio claro! El personal de front desk nos atendió súper bien cuando llegamos y fueron muy rápidos!
Out of all the properties I stayed in this was the best. I wish the improvements were being done while not sleeping.
The manager is SKETCH. AVOID him, especially if you are a solo female traveller. He comes into my room three times the morning of check-out. The first time, electricity had gone out, and he had put it back on & he was checking it was working now. All good 👍👍. Second and third time — I have no idea what he’s doing or asking or wants. Last time — he closes the door behind him, stands between me and the door, approaches me at an uncomfortable distance, and gestures like he’s asking for $. I gesture to him - money for what? He keeps standing there - no response. He leaves for a minute. I panic, grab all my stuff, and leave. I go downstairs for check-out. As I’m waiting for the staff to inspect my room, I start to wonder: maybe I was panicking for no reason, maybe I left the room messy, and they need $ to fix it. Then the concierge says my room looks perfect. And I’m just like — what just happened? What did that man want? What would have happened if I didn’t give it to him?
The restaurant view
Maximum 2 stars
The room and bathroom was dirty , good location, the staff wasn't friendly , poor breakfast
The photos of the hotel deceive. Once arrived the reality is quite different. No one speaks English, poor room cleanliness, poor breakfast, old bread, restaurant service is unprofessional, without any care for the customer and impossibility to communicate because they do not speak English. Really disappointed, I would not return.
Very comfortable and well equipped room . Clean. Staff very friendly and helpful
Great place
