The hotel itself is great, super nice staff, comfortable room and good shower. The neighborhood lacks desirable food options. If you walk 5-6 blocks toward the train station you find good options but if you walk in any other direction I didn't find much.

TravellerThe public areas of this place are beautiful, and the location is good near places to eat and shop. The downside was my room, which was very depressing. The windows overlooked the hallway, it smelled like mildew and there was mildew all over the bathroom. When I was taking a shower sewer-smelling water backflowed in so I was standing in it. I walked past nicer looking rooms that no one was using as I was one of the few guests in the hotel, it's unfortunate they didn't offer to put me in a better room.

TravellerRazoável, o atendimento e a localização ajudam muito, mas o quarto é muito apertado, completamente fechado, sem lugar para colocar roupas e a limpeza poderia ser bem melhor.

I was warmly welcomed upon arrival. Smiles were abundant. I was shown around the property coffee and water available and beautiful areas to enjoy and relax My room was immaculate, the bathroom had all new and modern toilet sink, and shower. Along with an abundance of HOT water. Breakfast at the little restaurant next door was fresh and YUMMY. If I ever find myself in Ecuador again, Riobamba, I will stay at Hotel Montecarlo Riobamba again.
