Pros & Cons
I can tell you that this place is very good, but the cost of buying food there is way too high. The TV did not work, and the phone for the guest service did not work. The TV screen was too small. They have a Tennis court that I wanted to play on, but I have to pay $10 to play; this is insane. For an even meal, they charge $32 per person. That was outrageous. Despite that, the place is very secure and clean inside and out.
Best place ever
The costumer services was great
I was njoy ,
I had a great week there
My room was noisy, with music playing somewhere all night, until the early morning hours.
Fantastic place
That was great overthere nice and quiet
Nice place
Didn't like the room.
Good place, safe, clean, welcoming staff
Safe
Great hotel and service!!
Nice and clean.
The staff, food
Cet hôtel a un très bel emplacement avec une superbe vue sur la baie de Port-au-Prince. C'est à couper le souffle.
Nice place for staying
Everything was perfect
This place is amazing, safe, very clean and service was excellent. I will definitely recommend it for anyone visiting Haiti or want to book it for their honeymoon.
The view is unique. The place is safe and quiet.
Secure place Fantastic view. Confortable Cleanest
I recommend anyone to go there, everyone that works there so friendly, i love everything about it, the room, the views, The bar, etc these people are Awsome! Thank you for your services I'll see you soon 💯
Place was excellent
I had an amazing time. The staff was very friendly and the food was great. I’m looking forward to my very next stay.
It’s a very quiet place very clean great staff my only complaint is the food sale food every day in the morning I got tired of it eggs eggs eggs rather than that it’s perfect
Awesome views and great service
I had a great stay at Montana. Much better than my previous stay at two other well-known hotels in the city that get reviewed. Jean Hubert at reception was very professional and accommodating and the views from the hotel restaurant were spectacular.
Property on top of a hill with gorgeous views.
Business traveller
Rooms were a bit outdated. However, the service was good and the internet connectivity was good. The hotel is located in a safe neighbourhood with good 24-hr security. There is a small gym and good views from restaurant/bar for evening drink.
Enjoy my days at Montana people over there are so friendly
The hotel is cozy and very spacious, with a nice view from the restaurant. It definitely needs more cleanliness, from the rooms, to the trees on the balcony. Management can definitely beautify the hotel with simple care of the land. After all, the staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay
Very nice mountain view the room was excellent I will come back Again to stay more days next vacation
Excellent place to stay. The view from the restaurant is stunning. The staff pays attention to details
It was raining that day and not cool to walk from room to the restaurant and for some reason, I could not find the a/c remote. Breakfast buffet was so so, did not have many choices.
I think that the food was not so great and was too expensive
Disappointing for the cost
I really wanted Hotel Montana to work. The staff was wonderful and customer service was great. However, for the price, the Hotel dropped the ball. Our room had no hot water, no wash clothes and the staff didn't replace our toilet paper when we ran out. The free breakfast was terrible, consisting of boiled potatoes, sardines, and some toast. Everything on the restaurant menu start at $15, even a sandwich, and for our family of 3 to eat dinner it costs nearly $100! Also, staff members walked into our room on 3 separate occasions. They knocked once and then just let themselves in before we could even answer the door.
Food was good - nice view and the staff was polite .
The people in the hotel put me in the worst part of the hotel where no one could see you. Someone try to come into my room in the middle of the night because they though I was sleeping. I had to have my room switched at 2am. The next room the air conditioner broke and leaked all over my stuff thank goodness my stuff was waterproof. Do not trust the display picture the room doesn't look like that. The room was decently looking but it doesn't like the picture here. I would not come there again because there is a safety issue.
We stayed here on our first night arriving in Port-au-Prince. After a little bit of a stressful drive in PAP traffic, we found our way up the hill to the oasis that is the Montana. A gorgeous, peaceful property (and kudos - completely rebuilt after the 2010 earthquake), we enjoyed our stay here. Quiet, comfortable room with garden view, wonderful bar/ restaurant with great views (we ate here on another night we were back in PAP later in the trip too) - don't miss the rhum sours - and an excellent buffet breakfast (don't miss the traditional Sunday Soupe Joumou !). Staff is friendly and helpful too. This was the only place we stayed in our 12 days in Haiti where we had both hot water and continuous electricity (though the wifi dropped in and out intermittently which seems to be par for the course). Would definitely stay here again at the end of a trip to relax a little bit away from the hustle and bustle of PAP/ Pétion-ville.
I loved the views from the balconies. The staff was great and the bed was comfy!
Great place to stay. Beautiful view of PAP from dining area. Green all around! The people are very nice and ready to help with any questions. Special thank you to Miriam and Bengie. The place is clean and very quiet. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The food very tasty! Will definitely return!!!!!!
The property is very nice and peaceful. The food is not up to Grade. I extended my stay for an extra night because of a special event that was to take place (Antillaise night) and was advertised for Thursday night but it was cancelled without notice.I couldn't get a dessert after my meal because the staff went home before I could finish my diner. This is my third time to this hotel and I hope they refocus on customer service like it used to be. Thanks
Perched on top of the hillside gives beautiful views from the rooms and the outside eating area as well as a cool breeze which is always appreciated in the Port au Prince area! The staff couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. The breakfast hostess even went out of her way to find me some mangos (which were not on the breakfast buffet that morning)) when she found out I liked them. They made you feel as if they really wanted to get to know you. I couldn’t have been more pleased, especially when I found the lower price on Expedia. Great hotel experience.
The hotel is in very bad shape. The bed/mattress was very uncomfortable and gave me back pain. The furniture is old and outdated. The advertisement of the suite that I occupied as “garden view” is misleading. The suite had a view that mostly was blocked by another structure. I will not stay there again.
An Oasis
This is the first experience that I have had with a fine hotel in Haiti. It was lovely, clean, a beautiful setting and the staff was very efficient and accommodating. No complaints. Really enjoyed the stay.
Le personnel est accueillant et très bien formé
Boa experiência
