the staff were super friendly and awesome, we were able to leave our bags early and the whole day when you checked out in the morning
Awesome stay
Great location Excellent price
Staff was so friendly! The room was ready when we arrived. The hotel was very pretty, as was the room itself. It was clean and fragrant. Located super convenient to Broadway.
Very nice and reasonable hotel near Times Square. Would recommend staying there.
Location was great and the room was clean and comfortable. I had two rooms, one for myself and one for my brother. His room was on the front of the hotel and it was so noisy, he could not sleep. My advice is to avoid those rooms on the front of the hotel.
What a find! This hotel was so conveniently located we could walk to everything. The bathroom was nice, the beds were super comfortable, and the room was quiet. Plus a great moderately priced French restaurant across the street. Definitely my new Hotel in New York.
Great stay. Clean, comfortable
Great location. Offered to hold our luggage before check in and after check out.
The property was close to Broadway, Times Square, dining, shopping, and subway.
Recommended
The location is amazing, great price and great service. Rooms were spacious, clean and renovated. An amazing place to stay.
Nice hotel and close to everything
Perfect for an affordable stay in Times Square
Room Roulette-all bad!
After arriving early and being told they would not hold our bags, we spent the next 8 hours in Manhattan. We were tired and it was bitter cold. Room #1Bizarre audio on tv when we just wanted to relax, Room #2 58 degrees and when heater was turned on you could not hold a conversation, Room#3 heat had to be constant or room was freezing and 4 channels (2cartoon, 80’s old series and a weird history channel) . Should have gone downstairs again but was too Freak’n tired. Watched a movie on an iPhone and had dinner delivered. I believe we were placed in rooms that they knew had problems. Snotty first day desk people unacceptable. Having housekeeping knocking on your door at 9:30 to see when you were checking out when checkout was 11:00 also unacceptable. The location was great and the rooms were clean but do yourself a favor- pick a different hotel.
This hotel is rated three stars but feels more like a four-star establishment. It has been completely renovated and is exceptionally clean. Its location in the theater district is ideal, as it is easily walkable and close to public transportation. Although it offers minimal amenities, the overall experience is excellent.
Spent the weekend touring the city and attending the last show of The Rockettes. The Aura Hotel is great and located in prime location for waking to all things to do. Thank you.
We could not get heat. It stay on 62 and it was very cold. Staff could care less
Conveniently located to Times Square and easy walking distance to tourist areas.
Great stay!
The hotel was amazing!! Clean and it is located at a very convenient area, close to everything. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We interacted mostly with Carlos, Barbara and Angel and they were very helpful and kind. I highly recommend it specially for those who want to be close to times square and still have a peaceful night of sleep.
Amazing hotel: clean, comfortable & centrally located. Barbara at the front desk was especially helpful. I would stay again & recommend to friends. 10/10!
Night in the city
Our rooms were very nice and spacious. Might’ve felt a little cozier with an area rug or two. Bathrooms tiny. At check-in, was told the room I booked wasn’t available, even though I booked over a month in advance. But they gave us an additional room at no extra cost,(for 3 adults) and complimentary breakfast! So overall a very pleasant experience.
The staff were very accommodating and allowed early check in! A very convenient hotel with a lovely bar and restaurant attached. Nice well thought out rooms. Very good value.
Easy check in and check out
Highly recommend
Lovely little property, staff is super friendly and helpful, rooms are well cared for. Really enjoyed our stay. Property is well situated with very easy access to Times Square.
The hotel is lovely. All areas are kept very clean with minimal tasteful modern decor. Staff and service were polite, professional, and prompt. Room was small, but comfortable and pristine. My reasoning for 4 star verses a 5 star is simply it was not quiet. There was a group of girls hanging out in my hallway after midnight talking and carrying on. Hope they learn to manage that better. I was traveling with teenagers and was respectful in hallway and after hours. Wish everyone was as courteous.
It was an amazing experience
Nice small hotel- great location
Lily from Chicago
The location of the hotels is good. But we were not able to check in on time, and there was a smell in the room. I hope it can be improved.
The property was in a great location. The only complaint/concern was the lack of a night guard that was visible. I have stayed in Times Square four times now and every hotel except this one either had an elevator that needed a key to even open it to get in or a visible guard at the door. One night we saw one but he was on the couch on his phone and never even looked up when we came in and went up to our room.
Heat and hot water were lacking.
Convenient location to Time Square. Room was comfortable and clean. The front desk staff was friendly and allowed me to check in early. However, the heat wasn’t working in the first room they gave me. The phone in the room had no cord attached, so I had to go down to the front desk to complain and get another room. Later that night when I went to take a shower there was no hot water and the water coming out of the tub facet was yellow. The front desk told me to let the water run for a while, which didn’t help. There was no hot water the next morning either. Also, the room thermostats seem pre-set at night and wouldn’t allow me to adjust the temperature above 70 degrees.
Carlos greeted me with “great to see you again” I felt like it was my home away from home from the beginning I walked in the lobby. I’ve never been there before. The staff was fun, friendly and welcoming. The room was spotless. Everytime I go to NYC Aura will be where I stay.
Nice property
Barbara in reception was excellent in giving us a room for our requirements! She is gold for this hotel.
Location and Comfort
Perfect small hotel in perfect location. Friendly staff. No "on-site" parking but 2 parking garages nearby.
Fabulous hotel Barry
We got the train into city , it was very conveiniet locationto walk or get subway ,ubers wete readily availible within miniutes , I'd have no hesitation Recommending This hotel to you and your guests
excellent location and price
Great location. Very close to Time Square. Elevators are small but it wasn’t a problem for us. Staff was very friendly and professional. Overall, we are very happy with this hotel
Extremely hot or extreme cold.. not ur choice
Great location but very small … had no refrigerator and no way to control temperature at all
Great location newly refurbished
Great location. Nice and clean and updated.
Staff was courteous! Hotel was close to theaters, a parking garage, restaurants and shopping! Great boutique hotel!
Excellent hotel.
Best of the best in the middle of colorful 42st street
I stayed here only for a short time but it was great! Everything was walking distance, I didn’t hear any of the rooms next to me, didn’t hear anything outside. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Definitely would come back.
TV channels were difficult to find. Shower temps not clear. Otherwise a wonderful stay near theaters. Great meals at Long Room next door. Kind desk staff.
Room was clean and roomy, but the heating system was very noisy and on the second night the smoke alarm beeped all night long, quite annoying and we did not sleep well.
Property was perfect for our group outing to NYC. Only stayed 1 night, but it met all of our expectations.
Two thumbs up
Nice and clean. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
Great location very quiet comfortable beds
The only issue was the loud music one night. We were above some kind of bar/lounge. At 12:30am i called reception. The staff member was rude to me while i was super calm with my inquiry about the loud music
A microwave and mini fridge would make a 10!
It was excellent except we need a microwave and mini fridge in the room. Otherwise hotel would be perfect.
Aura was a good value. Perhaps that's why I noticed so many families.
Not recommended
Very poor service and pretty unneat/unclean hotel for a high price!
Property was at a great location, room was small but it was very clean and quiet. Would definitely book this place again when traveling to NY.
Convenient and clean hotel very close to Times Sq
Everything was welcoming and great the entire stay
It was clean and comfortable. It has the essentials. It is not luxurious, but centrally located and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Missing second room
I had two rooms booked for myself and coworker and when we arrived there was only one room. We spent the next two hours going between hotels, the first not acceptable and this late for our function.
Pretty Goog
It is a sparse hotel, small bathrooms but decent sized room. The bed was very soft.
I travel a lot I wanna say this hotel is okay Close to time square There is no mini fridge nor water to drink The restaurant for the hotel are located outside on the side of the hotel There is no room or laundry service Rooms are small overall it’s okay
Good location
Excellent location. The room temperature and the hot water were kind of could. Other than that it was very good
Greta location and friendly staff. Larger room than I expected
Clean and walking distance to Times Square
Noisy
Small an friendly
We picked this hotel online due to location and were very happy with the accomadations & friendly staff. 1 small recommemdation would be an ice bucket in each room.
I was impressed by how clean and modern the place is. The room was up to date and finished in off white giving a clean vibe. The staff was exceedingly polite and helpful. On our last day the desk clerk Barbara was very accommodating with our need to stay a few hours after check out time. This is a place I would return to and can recommend without hesitation
The hotel was okay for few nights, No point of booking this place for new year eve, Extra fees may apply if u think of late later chick out while some other hotels may be free. No food or free bottle of water or any welcoming thing in your room. The bathtub wasn’t that clean. Would say if I don’t have choice maybe will rebook it but will try to avoid it as much as I can
If you want to be in the middle of it all this is the place for you!! Super accommodating friendly staff, clean rooms and common areas Would definitely stay again!
Great location! Friendly staff!
Great Hotel
The hotel was great! It was a central location to Times Square which is where I wanted to be however, I wished they had informed me that it would be difficult to get to the hotel on New Years Eve because all of the streets in Times Square were blocked off and shut down !
Very quiet
Great service. This was my 2nd time to stay here.
Great location, rooms were rather small, but welcome to New York
Nice property and good location. No bedding in room for pull out couch and no cups/mugs for bathroom/coffee maker.
Close to everything
Loved the location and its walkable area to the Theatre 🎭
The place was good, however, the elevators are very small
Excellent location for walking anywhere in Times Square. Lots of shopping, restaurants and Broadway shows
The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. My Room was spacious and clean and very cozy, everything was walking distance and safe.
Room was nice and clean. Staff were very responsive and nice. The cleaning service could be improved. The elevator was small and old but works fine. Very close to time square and train station. Highly recommend for someone going to NY for first time.
Great location and very clean
Lovely hotel in a brilliant area. Noisy but then what do you expect in New York !
Aura is a very comfortable hotel and very conveninet to Times Square.

I really love this hotel! Everything was perfect! The place was nice quite clean. The staff was pleasant, not in the way. Easy check in easy check out. Conveniently located. Far exceeded my expectations and I love it!!!
Will definitely stay here again, the location was PERFECT.
.
Great
Great overnight spot small room but very comfortable for 1 person or a couple
The last day the front guy 4pm who was very good person was great! As far as the rest of trips a bandage was on the bed the hotel did not fix the problem!!are room!!are rate!! I purchased my own bed sheets because who leaves a dirty bandage on the headboard have pictures paid 200 extra to check into a improperly prepared room I wouldn’t recommend even tho it’s close they don’t care at all just no life no joy just sadness and it’s the holidays!!! I wrote emails talked to five different people no response shoulder shrubs I wasted money save yours! Run away….
Wooden floor in the room. Milton Brown toiletries. Super comfy bed. Value for money.
Great stay, great location
Great hotel. Very clean. Perfect location. I had to make arrangements to allow my daughter to check into the room before me. The front desk replied to my email very quickly and was very accommodating.
The Hotel was great very clean and modern!! Nice Ac/Heater system.Walking distance to everything. Would stay again
The drawer had food from previous client
Solid!
Had a death in my family and wasn’t able to make the trip, spoke with someone at the hotel in hopes of getting a refund, due to booking through Expedia evidently it would be up to Expedia to issue a refund, 5 minutes later I was able to get in touch with Expedia about the issue and they stated the hotel is refusing to issue a refund. Lost out on $600 and had to come up with more money to travel to where the funeral was. I will never be booking through Expedia again.

At the end of my stay, they didn’t refund me the standard deposit and charged even more, without any satisfaction, I called there multiple times and nobody solved my problem or even tried to explain it to me
