Hotel Maya Campeche is perfectly located, walkable, near everywhere you need to go. The whole city is very safe and quiet. The staff is super kind, helpful, pleasant, polite. The rooms are equipped with A/C and the entire hotel is maintained very nicely and clean at all times. I will definitely go back.

Good place for a fee night

Great Location

When you are traveling from city to city the wi-fi is a most. We couldn’t search for information in our room to plan our next morning. We had to get out of our room into the lobby where it was 98 degrees. The people at the hotel are very nice and the location couldn’t be better. Overall it was good for the price.

Very nice hotel and staff At the historic centre

Location is fine, comfortable and clean room

We arrived early and then had to wait 40 minutes after check-in time for our room. For whatever reason our room had no wifi access no matter what staff tried to do. There is a great outdoor area on the second floor, which is where we went for wifi access. Room was large and well appointed. Great location in the walled part of the old city. Close to Calle 59 with lots of places to eat (try Luan!). Overall a pleasant place to stay.

Cute stay

Very well located and nice design. The staff is super friendly. The roof top is gorgeous. Maybe if you’re tall make peace with the fact that you’ll have you feet exceed the bed or book a king size bed. Overall I recommend.

For the price it is very good. Rooms are small without windows and bathroom very small. Lots of hor water and quiet air conditioners. Smallbar fridge and water glasses would be a great addition to rooms as no ice on premises. We liked it thought. Itis very close to most amenities.

I’ve stayed at this hotel before and the room I had last time was much better. Try and stay on the first floor if you can, higher ceilings and what feels like bigger rooms. Overall, it’s a good affordable option but might be worth looking elsewhere as some rooms need updating.

Great location, friendly staff

A couple of blocks from the main plaza and all the restaurants. The reception staff, Lilia, Alex and Pedro were exceptional in their attentiveness. I had a room on the top floor at the end of the corridor. Completely quiet although the downside was weak wifi so far from the router. There's a room right by reception, one to avoid if possible because it could be noisy. Good choice, I'd happily stay again.

great price, great location, great service :)

This hotel is in the perfect location. We found the room to be spacious, the beds and linens extremely comfortable, and the staff to be very kind and attentive. We had a great time and are thankful to the staff for helping us enjoy our stay in Campeche. I highly recommend folks book the double room as the extra space is worth it even for a single traveler.

Unfortunately I got a room which wasn't clean then front-desk person gave another room which was better than the first one but still was dirty, first floor rooms are way better than second floor rooms. This is the second time I stay in the hotel which was not was I expected.

No frills, but good wifi, eager-to-please staff, and excellent downtown location.

We checked in to extend our stay in Campeche when our original hotel was booked. We loved this local hotel and would definitely stay here again. Walkable to everywhere with friendly staff and nice terrace. I slept like a rock in the comfortable bed. Nice, hot showers, too.

Very small, but clean room. Hotel is in the historic center of town. It's easy to walk and good restaurants are nearby. It has a roof terrace.

Old and nonfunctional rooms

Cold water tap wasn’t working... they try to change our room but the new one has not toilet cover so, they call maintenance... after a couple of hours my boyfriend ask for a screwdriver and change fix the Tap replacing it with a new one.

Really nice small hotel in the historic center of Campeche. Good location, one block from the main tourist street,5 minute walk to the square. Super friendly staff. Minor drawbacks; the second floor rooftop patio is in full sunlight most of the day and probably too hot for most. On the last night of my 4 night stay, a Friday, the club behind the hotel had loud music going until about 2:30 am. Woke me up that night but never bothered me other than that. Overall, highly recommend and look forward to going back

Beautiful old Hotel in the heart of Beautiful Campeche!

The location of this hotel is wonderful and close to many of Campeche’s museums and sites! The rooms need updating and it was very cramped. The towels and blankets were worn and stained.

Central Campeche Hotel Find

I highly recommend the Hotel Maya Campeche in central Campeche City. Besides being a bargain, it is conveniently in the historic center, is immaculately clean in all areas, has dependable hot water, a.c. as well as ceiling fans and a very helpful and accommodating staff. Very quiet if you ask for a room away from the street. No restaurant but just two blocks from a street (Calle 59) loaded with places to eat and a few blocks more to the very enjoyable central plaza and most of the city sights. Very safe area day or night.

Great Basic Option

The Hotel Maya Campeche is located in the historic zone of San Francisco de Campeche. It's a basic hotel without many bells or whistles. But it delivers well. The room was very comfortable. The only downside to the room was a lack of natural lighting. The hotel has a nice rooftop terrace to take in the views of the city. I enjoyed reading and taking in some some from the rooftop. The hotel staff were helpful with information about Campeche. They arranged for a taxi for my trip to the airport.

Centrally located in Campeche's historic district

Excellent location to explore the historic district of Campeche City. Staff at the front desk are very friendly and were able to keep our luggage aside as we arrived a number of hours before check-in. The rooms are basic, clean and functional, there is air conditioning and television with channels in English, should you wish to use these things. There is also a roof-top patio area on the second floor. Our rooms did not have windows facing outside but no matter as we were there to enjoy the sights of Campeche!

Pleasant small hotel. Very comfortable. A real plus is the rooftop patio which often has a refreshing breeze.

Had a problem being understood due to language.someone was knocking on our door at 4:00am. Apparently due to a mix up with the room. We got no sleep afterwards.

Very clean and well maintained hotel inside the walled city centre. Friendly staff who all spoke good English. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and wifi worked well. Only stayed one night but would stay again if ever I'm back in Campeche.

Esta rodeado de bares el ruido es altísimo, no tiene estacionamiento se deja el carro en la calle en donde encuentres y todo es raya amarilla

Recepcionista me atendió mal

Realicé mi reservación a las 8pm y a las 8:50 llegué al hotel, mostré la reserva, el comprobante de pago y todo para comprobar mi estancia pero la recepcionista insistía en que no tenía ninguna reserva "y que no era posible pagar todo en linea" simplemente que pagaba una parte en linea y el resto lo pagaba en recepción. Le pregunté con quién podía ver el detalle y ella cerrada en que no tenía reservación, me senté en el sillón con mi pareja, veníamos de un viaje de +12hrs estabamos cansados y queríamos dormir ya. Cuando nos sentamos en el sillón la recepcionista nos veía mal como si fuera "estafa" o algo así pero me puse a buscar correos y números de telefonos para que me resolvieran y justo cuando comencé a marcar ella me dice que ya había caído la reserva ni siquiera se disculpó simplemente no había recargado su navegador.

Very close to Calle 59, lots of restaurants, and within walking distance to the boardwalk.
