We will definitely use this hotel every visit to Arras
Good location but update needed .
Great location but hotel in desperate need of updating . No parking . Parking is very difficult in the public car park which is close but cramped .
Weekend in Arras
We have stayed at this hotel before when visiting the near by war graves. the hotel is in an excellent position for the center of Arras. But this hotel is a bit dated and could do with modernization. The breakfast is a bit plain and not as good as it was with the previous owners.
A great well-priced hotel right in the centre of town. It is steps away from many amazing restaurants. The building was constructed in 1497 so don’t expect a big, spacious North American style of room. The staff were very kind to us and we really enjoyed the big continental breakfast.
This property was very quaint inside a renovated home from the 1400’s. The room was a little bare with few amenities but the bed was comfortable. It was nice to have breakfast offered for a small surcharge. I would have liked water offered in the room.
Stayed two nights to check out New Zealand WWI sites. Ideal base to explore the area and central Arras. Clean and comfortable, great location.
Hotel is not as photo or advert, the photo is actually the town square. Rooms small and outdated, on arrival informed hotel closed other than given key to room. The advertised parking was in a nearby underground car park
Very friendly staff. Sweet spot! Fantastic location!
🐓
I’m not going to winge about this place as its location is excellent and it’s cheap so it’s fine for a night. Not sure l’d want to spend a week here but a couple of nights would be fine if they fixed the shower. Cheap and cheerful…..just like me 🤗
Wonderful hotel in historic Arras.
We only had one night to stay in Arras as we were with friends who were visiting the war memorial. We found everyone at the hotel extremely helpful and caring. Breakfast was splendid. The hotel itself is full of character and historical interest.
It was a perfect place to stay as we started our Vimy tour. We were there over the weekend and the town was delightful. The hotel was simple, convenient and the staff friendly
Nothing fancy, warm and tidy
Smashing place for an overnight stop
Amazing place. Perfect weekend
amazing location. beautiful historic building. very friendly welcome. very good value.
The hotel owner has limited English but he went to extra lengths to make sure my stay was possible. It is a a quaint hotel with a lot of character and is in a perfect location for exploring Arras. The room is small but the bed is extremely comfortable. Best night sleep I’ve had I awhile. Merci!
This is a great historic hotel right in the heart of Canterbury! Staff is very helpful, parking is right across the street. We loved our stay here.
Arras Trip
Hotel was immaculate clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Great for one night in Arras and very convenient for the centre of the city. Good car access and parking.
Exactly as it was presented and what we expected. No surprises for this old hotel. Very clean. Rooms small. But beds comfortable. Fantastic location. Staff excellent. Breakfast large, tasty, and very reasonably priced.
Well worth a visit
Really great location, spotlessly clean and very well organised. Breakfast great value and a historical gem.
This hotel is OK for one or two nights.
Great for a one or two night stay as it is in the center of the city and allows an easy walk to many areas of interest. Room is a bit small for a long stay.
hotel in the centre of the sites at the old market place. Clean, simple at a good price. Parkin g at market place. Good restaurants nearby
I would not recommend this property to a friend or traveler. The bathroom is so small that one has a hard time shutting the door once inside. Try another selection, if possible.
Great
This was our second time staying at Les Trois Luppars. The last was several years ago. If I ever return to Arras again, I will stay again. Quirky rooms with loads of character in a great location. Staff was friendly. Their English seemed to be limited but did not make any part of the process difficult (plus we're in France, so no big deal). Parking under the square in front of the hotel is great and for some reason was free. The Place de Heros(?) square a block away is a great place for a drink on a sunny afternoon.
Great position
A nice but rather old-fashioned hotel in a beautiful building in a fabulous position overlooking the Grand Place in Arras. Parking is usually free on the Place or there's an underground car park. We were in room 14 which is quite small but with a comfortable bed and a view over the Grand Place. Owners are friendly, although with not a lot of English. Nice big continental breakfast. All in all good value for money.
Really great hotel
We thoroughly enjoyed out few nights at the Hotel Trois Luppars. The staff were always kind and polite, helpful and spoke some English which helped. The hotel was very easy to find, located on the main Grand Place. We parked in the main square - without buying a ticker. We took the risk. You should buy a ticket during the day but free overnight. There is a large car park under the square which we used one night when all cars to be removed from the square. We were in an annexe at the rear of the hotel - a lift gave access to the rooms. Rooms were fairly small but very clean. Bathrooms particularly small but clean. Very, very quiet at night. Plenty of excellent restaurants on the square for dinner. Breakfast was fairly basic. Ready plated on a tray it consisted of bread rolls, jam, cheese, apple, yoghurt, etc. Highly recommended - we would certainly go back.
Conveniently located with friendly and helpful staff.
Great stay
No parking on site but can park close to hotel for 3 hours free then move vehicle to an underground park but have to pay. Asked locals and found a free car park across the dual carriageway
Tiny room at back of hotel thankfully as town square filled by huge pop festival for 3 days.
Parking was difficult because the car park was very full and difficult to park in. The room was very basic and no view. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good
The location could not have been better. We found the staff helpful and friendly. It is an older building which was spotlessly clean. I recommend the restaurant beside it. There are also some lovely chocolate shops nearby
ancien hotel au centre ville, calme, facile d'accès, propre, chambre spacieuse.
Great overnight stay
Very clean and comfortable. Stayed one night, location was perfect. Decor a little dated but would definitely return.
Great location but!!
Warm welcome on arrival. Room was adequate although separate toilet that was small and the sink/shower area even smaller. Great location though and good for one night's stay.
Perfectly located good value hotel
We stayed a night here on our way to the coast, the hotel is perfectly located on the Grand Place, our room was clean and recently renovated. Parking is easy and there are many choices for eating.
Great place to stay
Great place in the heart of the town. Room was big and had everything what you need for comfortable stay Hotel has a charming inner yard, where you can relax outdoor away from the crowd Free overnight parking at the door, free 24 hrs parking just 600m away
Good stopover
Just a brief overnight stopover, but a very comfortable one, with a tasty breakfast.
I could not of got a better place the host was 1st class. Breakfast was great!
Christmas market
Visit for the christmas market so very convienent, as others have said the rooms aresmall, however this is an old building and has character. Comfy bed, very clean and a lovely choice at breakfast. Only slight disappointment was the bar in the hotel was already closed when we returned at around 21:30. Would defineltly recommend,we parked down by the train station for 12euro 24 hours about ten minute walk from hotel. P.S. The Wellington tunnels just outside town well worth the visut
Adequate ordinary room. Parking was available in underground commercial parking. Breakfast was ok. Two large public squares to explore.
Ideally situated
Ideally situated on one corner of the grand place. Plenty restaurants to chose from within very easy walking (even crawling) distance.
Very Highly Recommended Hotel
Well-situated hotel with very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Rooms and public areas very clean and well-decorated. Excellent breakfasts. The only "minus-point" was that, although there was sufficient space and hangers to hang clothes, there were no drawers or shelves available to unpack clothes; nor, alternatively, anywhere to lay suitcases flat for easy access. This was a fairly minor inconvenience, though, and would certainly not stop us giving this hotel a very high recommendation.
Central and a must have breakfast!
Lovely welcome when we arrived after parking our motor bike just opposite the hotel in the beautiful square used as a car park. The hotel interior is very tired and really needs a complete refurbishment. Having said that and despite the unpleasant smell in the corridors, the hotel was clean. Our room was very small and the separate toilet and shower too small to turn around in. The room was functional but not pleasant. The breakfast hower is a different story. The amazing buffet is served in the lovely valuted cellar of the property and is wonderful, the choice is exceptional and the quality good. We had breatfast early and I'm glad we did, as if the room had been full I don't think it would have been as enjoyable. Although the hotel is very tired and does need to be reburbished plumbing included, it is good value for money and the breakfast and central location saved the day.
Very quaint. The oldest hotel in Arras. The reception was pleasant although we did not have breakfast. They had an elevator which is a plus. Overall we did enjoy our stay.
Lovely position on Grand Place, with excellent parking on the square.
Good value, good location
Friendly welcome, clean room and decent en suite shower room. Excellent situation in Grand Place with lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Convenient underground parking close by for 12 euros overnight. Good value.
One night layover great stay
Excellent location, close to main square where all the restaurants are. Very helpful front desk. Rooms are basic but very clean. I will stay here on for sure on my next visit to Arras.
Arras for the weekend
The hotel was in a superb location, on one of the two squares in Arras. The hotel itself was really nice, quaint and unfussy. The breakfast was amazing, one of the best spreads you'll see, and it was downstairs in a basement vault, with an arched ceiling. The building is also the oldest on the square, what a history lesson that could give. Our stay was excellent, and highly recommend.
Return from St Tropez
Stopped here many times. Typically french. Arras is stunning
Very welcoming and helpful at front desk. Breakfast was awesome, do much choice!
Had a triple room. Enough room for one night for 3 adults. Centre of town with plenty of restaurant ideas close by.
Good value for money hotel in good location
Well located in the centre of Arras, friendly and helpful staff, room very small & basic, public parking is convenient.
Comfortable room though rather warm. Small but clean shower and basin and separate toilet.
Excellent location on The Grand Place. Adequate, comfortable room. Well presented buffet breakfast.
Arras Centre
The hotel's position in Grand Place was excellent. The breakfast (extra) was very good. The room was quite large, but the space had not been fully utilised. There were no comfy chairs and the shower cubicle was small. It was easy to connect to wifi, but the internet was "not available". The reservation stated "courtyard view" but we looked out over tiled roofs.
nice clean friendly hotel close to town centre amenities
Historic building and siting are excellent. Elevator a plus
Wonderful staff and location. Breakfast was nice and varied.
Historic!
Good value, ideal location. Oldest building in Arras.
Satisfactory but nothing special
Small simple rooms but a little tired. Breakfast cost extra and was mediocre. Very central with a large pay car park across the road.
Visiting the WW1 Memorials
Arras was an ideal base for visiting the WW1 Memorials of the Somme and Arras battlefields. The hotel is perfectly situated in the centre of the town close to bars and restaurants, with free parking (on Saturday night when we were there anyway!) in the central square (Grande Place).
Really great location. Clean and straightforward with some character. Not a big room but as I was travelling alone it was quite adequate. The single bed could be small for some people. Good breakfast in a characterful breakfast room.
Friendly, spotless, charm and great location
We stayed for 2 weeks and never found fault: the hotel was spotless, breakfast just what was needed, it's right in the centre with good parking at hand and would recommend it to everyone. As we were taking trips most days, being in the centre but easy to get to the main roads made it very convenient.
Historic building in a beautiful town.
It was a lovely hotel in a very pretty town. The Bank Holiday fair was in town in front of the building and Monsieur Le Concierge very kindly relocated some of my party to the rear of the building away from the noise of the fair.
Very old fashioned hotel but in a great location
The location of this hotel is brilliant, very close to where everything is happening in Arras and there is parking very close that is reasonably priced. My only complaint is the rooms are old fashioned. Separate toilet and sink/shower. But it was comfy and clean so served its purpose.
Disappointed
We were charged twice! We paid for our room and someone else's and hotels.com could not resolve as hotel did not speak English and hotels.com could not speak French. Nor can we so left to credit card to deal with. :(
clean but tired
Good position, pleasant welcome at the desk. The room was clean but a little tired. It needs some modern bedding etc. But good value stay.
Nice hotel, but everywhere closes on Sundays!
Stop off on our way home from South France, oldest building in the square. Staff were friendly when approached, had two fans in our room but it was still stuffy and the shower was pretty poor and beds not particularly comfy. Arrived on a Sunday and most of the surrounding restaurants are closed (which we didn't know before we arrived) asked at reception and they recommended three restaurants, one of which closes on Sunday! Ended up having pizza next door which was nice but obviously they were very busy! Breakfast was lovely, self serve but lots of choice and not restricted. Also seemed to accommodate allergies (but we didn't have any). Parking was interesting (arrived when the market was on, so parking was restricted) but lucky we found a space down a side road.
Pleasing hotel in a historic building
Clean and comfortable, no frills accommodation attended by friendly and helpful staff. Located centrally in Arras, 10 minutes walk from the railway station. Ideally placed for access to many bars, cafes, restaurants and the historic buildings and features of this city.
Awesome historic building dating back to 1400s. Room very comfortable. View over beautiful historic square.
If it had a/c it would be perfect
The hotel is in the perfect location on the Grand Place. You are near all the action in Place des Heroes but far enough away to be quiet. Parking is easy. The rooms are bright and airy and the bathrooms are clean and modern. Breakfast in the quirky vaulted basement was fantastic - all you could want including lots of cereal options and almond, oat and rice milk! The night we stayed was very warm so the lack of air conditioning was a disappointment but for the price this place is amazing value.
Great Long Weekend
Great hotel right in the centre of town, perfect for restaurants, bars and all the historic sites nearby. We were a party of 10 in six rooms and none had any issues, will stay there again next time in Arras.
Nice hotel right in the center.
Good location
A good standard 2 star hotel in the heart of Arras. Good breakfast available.
Room though small was pleasant enough and provided good view over the main square. Breakfast buffet was well stocked but Eu22 was rather on the high side..
Friendly and comfortable, ideally situated.
Very friendly with an excellent breakfast. The rooms are clean and comfortable but fairly basic. Ideally placed in the Grand Place.
Arras Experience
Great location. Room was a little on the small side but acceptable for 1 night.
Great place to stay
Easy to find and very comfortable to come’home’ to after a busy day as a tourist!!! Breakfast was delicious Thanks
Nice hotel in great location
Charming hotel in great location with a very friendly staff and superb buffet breakfast.
Very Enjoyable Stay
Very nice hotel with lots of character. Room and en-suite were small, but clean and warm with window looking down onto rear courtyard. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good with wide choice of cereal, bread/pastries and beverages. Right in the centre of Arras with easy parking in the main square outside the hotel (free overnight). Easy to reach hotel from the main A26 motorway. Would recommend and would definitely stay here again.
The hotel
Great location and lots of character. A good restaurant next door
en route to Calais
Clean basic convenient 11/2 hr to Calais Perfect
happy stay
comfortable and very clean no frills hotel. Close to town centre in an historic building. Lots of restaurants close by and easy to walk around town. Parking very convenient ,charges not excessive. Our room was a good size with hot shower and good heating.Breakfast was expensive if you are just juice ,toast and coffee people like us. Good value for money and Arras is a lovely town.
Reasonable hotel in a great location
This is a reasonable hotel in a vey good location in the corner of the Grand Place. Room was in a reasonable condition, staff very friendly, peaceful stay! Lots to see in and around Arras with a good choice of restaurants. Free parking on the square 6pm - 9am and 12-2 (lunchtime). Recommend for a good value stay.
Perfect location
Lots of historic charm on one of the main squares in Arras. It is in a very old building and as such the rooms are a bit dated but we knew that going into it and everything was 100% acceptable. Secure parking under the square in front was helpful especially since parking on Saturday night is difficult to find. I would stay here again if I was back in town.
Charming hotel
There for the Christmas Market, could of been better location, right out side the main door. Overall the hotel is comfortable a clean. Rooms of a decent size and comfort level. Buffet breakfast 10€ great value, all dietary demand covered. The hotel is full of charm, believe is the oldest building on the Grand Place. Totally recommend
The hotel was beautifully warm as it was so cold outside, breakfast was not included in the price but the breakfast room was lovely and the choice of foods available superb value for money
Little Gem
Excellent check-in and check-out. Hotel has gone through a small refurb recently downstairs and in the basement breakfast room. The rooms could do with it next but are clean and functional. Who needs huge rooms when they are just a base to sleep and eat breakfast. Breakfast is EXCELLENT, so much choice you couldn't try everything. Coffee could do with being nicer but that's just my taste. Superb location right next to the Christmas market. Parking a problem but better at different times of the year. Loads of good restaurants around.
Room very small and dated . no kettle in room and very small bed.hole
Good clean hotel. Friendly staff
Good clean hotel. Good location and friendly staff
Fine
Fine....................................................................................................................................
Excellent cheap hotel. The oldest building in arras. Have stayed many times before and will happily go back.
Arras stay, 02-04 November 2017
The hotel is in a great location being right on one of the main squares in Arras. The breakfasts were amazing with plenty of choice, but no cooked food on offer, but that does not matter in our opinion. The hotel is clean and tidy and the staff friendly. On the negative side, the rooms are small and a bit dated and could benefit from modernisation. We are used to a larger bed at home so found the one in our room rather small. This type of hotel is however good value for money and ok for a short stay. I would book it again mainly for its ideal location. If you are visiting Arras by car, the parking can be a problem as this hotel has no parking facilities.
Touring Vimy Memorial
Convenient to the train station and the city centtre Good restaurants nearby Plentiful breakfast although a hot meal (e.g. bacon and eggs) would have been nice.
Excellent service
Comfy hotel in heart of arras. Excellent service
Clean, staff pleasant
The hotel is about a 10 min walk to the train station, just past the main town square. We arrived earlier than expected and there were no problems ....we were able to check right in. Staff were helpful and assisted us with arrangements to Vimy Ridge. Rooms were spacious and clean. Close to numerous restaurants. A full optional breakfast. Would highly recommend this lovely historic hotel
Excellent value
Clean and well organised. Good location in main square, nothing wrong at all. Very good value for the price.
The building is superbly placed in one of the Grand Places, and opposite the Christmas Market. Secondary glazing means that it is very quiet inside, but is located perfectly. Enormous breakfast was served, room was airy. Fabulous bars and restaurants (try L'Epicurien).
