Good location and well kept hotel.
Nice location and convenient.
4 minute drive to the hot springs. Clean comfortable rooms with a cute well maintained patio area and a view of arenal.
This is really a great place for a stay in La Fortuna. The location is really unbeatable, (when Arenal is visible that is). Unfortunately our last stay saw some unseasonable conditions for December, with heavy and almost steady rain, but mother nature can't always cooperate. The place could use some upgrading, at least the cabinas in the back. Looks like the rooms up by the pool and restaurant have received a facelift. The staff are terrific, breakfast is good, and the price is excellent for La Fortuna. I would not hesitate to recommend other than to the most pretentious that need to have perfect accomodations. This was our 3rd stay here, and will always stay here when visiting La Fortuna.
The facility is clean though there were some small insects in the cabin but totally understandable because its a tropical location and the cabin is within a garden.
Great spot for the week, clean, simple, convenient. Stayed in bungalow recommend but be aware the bathrooms are simple and dark. Staff was very nice.
Property was nice and clean. Good place for stay.
Is a good hotel if you dont want to spend a lot of money in hotel, plus they have a lot of activities and also they are working to make the hotel much better, the pizza is really really good!!!!
Very friendly staff
very nice room, just didn't like the fact light wasnt' that bright.
Good value but just OK.
This place is ok and has a good location. We stayed in one of the cabins and there was a mouse or rat living (or visiting) in one of the walls at night. The breakfasts are pretty standard and the restaurant staff is really nice. The beds are quite hard. Good value but I would probably stay somewhere else if we go back to La Fortuna.
Great hotel, it was very charming, nice rooms, clean and the staff is very kind. You can also book activities at the reception, like Atv tours, sloth tours, zip-lining, etc. I enjoyed my time there and would definitely revisit.
The staff checking us in were friendly but told us that our room was not ready upon check-in, which we did after check in time. The grounds were safe and kept clean. The cleaning crew kept insisting to clean our room even with us present in the room and had to be told to come back to clean the room when we were not present. The breakfast served were good portion sizes and served traditional meats typical to the region - do not expect any breakfast meats similar to the US. The pools and hot pools were very nice amenities to the property as well as their parking spaces. The view of the Arenal Volcano is as advertised on a day that is not too cloudy. Overall, I would stay here again for the safety and simplicity of the property but the cleanliness can be improved.
The view to the volcano view was beautiful but the bungalow was not clean. There were bugs in my bed and around the corners of the head board. I asked for extra pillows and we got 4 hard as rocks decorative throw pillows. The shower head had a large hole and the tile just was old and cracked. I would have stayed at Los Lagos had I known the discomfort of this place. This is the first review I have ever written on anything...I wasn't super excited to be here 3 nights.
I like the cabin, felt very private. Water and coffee, clean shower and rooms. Excellent housekeeping. Close to activities in La Fortuna.
I like the cabin which is very spacious. I had a wonderful view of the volcano
The shower water didn’t drain properly, and the toilet water kept running all the time after flushing.
Nice, quiet and well manicured grounds. The bungalow type rooms were super nice, clean and had all the amenities you could need. Staff was great, the pool and restaurant area were great. Location is just outside of La Fortuna, and a quick drive and you were in town with plenty to see and do. Highly recommend this place!
We had a great time, the Costa Ricans were so polite and welcoming to us. We will return for some more fun in La Fantuna areas
Great location
Great service from Sol and Daniela at reception. Jackie and everyone at the hotel restaurant and bar were great. We enjoyed the food. The room cleaning service needs improvement. Sometimes dirty towels were not taken and left on the floor. Sometimes towels were not replaced. Some trash was not taken. The Souvenir shop at this hotel has a lot to offer.
Nice staff but hotel was dirty.
Loved our stay here! Clean room and a nice pool. We drove into the main part of town for dinners and shopping but it was nice being out of the hustle and bustle of La Fortuna downtown. Closer to the volcano and hot springs too.
Great location, view of the volcano is spectacular
This is a good (not excellent) budget friendly hotel with a beautiful view of Arenal Volcano (when the sun is out). Our rooms were clean -- but the decor is pretty outdated. A small matter when you spend most of your time on excursions in this area. The overnight rain showers were dreamy on the roof as we slept. The breakfast was delicious and service staff were very helpful. I do suggest that when offering excursions through the hotel, the time allocated for each adventure is really off. We had a 3-hour sloth park, coffee & chocolate excursion that lasted nearly 6 hours... and the next day we had booked a 6 hour, 3-part excursion and were put on the bus that held us captive for the FULL DAY, meaning 4-parts, 12 hours away -- we didn't pack properly, and were wet most of the day. We know we're in a rainforest, and we had rain jackets, but one meal and one drink included in a 12-hour excursion is lacking.
We loved our room, it had amazing views of the Arenal Volcano, and we saw an armadillo in the garden. Bathroom was very clean and spacious, and had plenty of pools. Staff were very friendly. Our only con was breakfast, it was our least favorite hotel breakfast of the trip with both the options available and taste. Beds were very comfy with lots of pillows, room included a mini fridge and a very high quality ac unit.
Very nice bungalows
The breakfast is to little and no tasty good.
Stayed 3 nights. Room with beautify view of the Arenal. Woke up to lovely birds chirping in the morning. Nice resort, with basic room. Nothing fancy but adequate for our need. Convenient walkable to most restaurants and shopping area. Breakfast was good, not too many options but adequate, went mostly for the traditional. Easy driving distance to Arenal area. Area around the resort felt safe even at nights. Only con : can get load during the nights as it is on the main road.
Staff were super helpful and polite. Every room had a beautiful view and the hot tub was
The vulcano view is AWESOME
Very nice stay. Friendly staff, clean room. Good food
Super place, very conveniently located while away from the hustle and bustle. Great people.
Most scenic hotel
It’s a beautiful hotel with great pool, jacuzzi and a kiddie pool. The breakfast is great and staff is friendly and helpful, location is close to every thing and test it’s quiet and peaceful.
The hotel was beautiful, had a very nice large pool with a great view of the arenal volcano. Each room had a small porch with a couch a rocking chair which was very nice. The hotel staff were all very kind and helpful. Breakfast was included and was delicious.
The cabins were a little rustic with lots of large cracks in the doorway. No shampoo. No washcloths. Beautiful view of the volcano and good breakfast and pools and jacuzzi were a nice bonus
No wifi Mattresses were old …. Definitely need new ones
My family and I spent 3 nights there. The hotel and staff were great! The location is close to everything but also feels like you are away from the crowds. Would recommend and stay there again.
Wonderful location with a view of the volcano from your patio. Close to various restaurants.
Great location, parking, views of the volcano. Lovely room....clean, spacious, porch . Very friendly staff. Great breakfast. We've had lots of rice and beans but we would rate them at this hotel at the top. Highly recommend this choice in Arenal
Beautiful property bungalows are spacious and have
Beautiful property bungalows are spacious and have nice patios. Nice pool and two hot tubs. It would be nice if they had a bar open and maybe some appetizers during the day. I highly recommend this property.
Wifi was not working! Staff is so nice and friendly 👍
Clean, great staff and awesome location
I was a little concerned when we pulled up about the "roadside motel" vibe when we first pulled up but overall I was very happy with our stay. We were in the cute bungalows at the back of the property. They were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. The kids enjoyed to pool. The front desk even had a corkscrew to loan me! My only complaints were the wifi and the laundry. Wifi did not reach our cabin. I couldn't even get enough at the pool to work- I had to go sit in the lobby for a bit to get a few things done. The listing said it had laundry facilities, when I asked about it, he said they were "full" and directed me to a drop off laundry place up the road.
People sitting in the area in front of theor red
The view on the Arenal from the room was spectacular. Breakfast was well served. Minus point is that lunch or dinner are not served.
Very nice property
Fantastic place, amazing people and delicious breakfast!!!
There are so many fun outdoor activities they offer. We did tubing and had a great time. Accommodations nice, welcome drink, super nice staff.
There are very good view for vocanol when we stand out of room.
Good location
The hotel is in a good location with nice pools and breakfast. It was let down by the closed restaurant for lunch and dinner. Also on day 2 our room was broken into even though curtains and everything was locked. Suitcases were broken and some items taken. The lock was not broken so they must have had a key or picked the lock. No response from the hotel
We did like this property a lot. It was the perfect location and beautiful grounds. I was disappointed that they close the pool very early.
Great location, nice and clean room.
Chambre décevante
Nous étions près de la rue, première chambre collée sur la réception. La salle de bain était vraiment pas propre et nous avons une grosse cucaracha dans la chambre. Par contre le petit déjeuner était quand même très bon.
Two night stay
Good little hotel with free parking. Breakfast was OK, no pastries and just two different menu choices. Bed was hard and not overly comfortable Pools were nice.
Unique very comfortable and staff very friendly
Great place!!!
We enjoyed our three day stay at Hotel La Pradera. Check in was easy, desk staff helpful & friendly. We had a nice room with a view of the volcano. Breakfast was good. Too bad the restaurant wasn’t open for lunch or dinner. Really enjoyed the pool area & soaking in the hot tub at night.
Clean property, the entire staff was very helpful. Great stay! Thank you!
Near everything.. Just need bit more update in room furniture etc.
The pools/spas were maintained at different temperatures suitable for relaxing in after a day of hiking. Office staff were helpful in arranging for tours, translating, and providing recommendations.
Pool and hot tub were great. Wish the restaurant was open for dinner
Great location. Nice rooms. Great pool. Hot tub could be hotter. Easy check in. Some mustiness in the rooms, but that cleared up quickly once we aired it out. I think that's just the nature of the climate. Helpful staff. Great breafast area. Hope they open it up for other meals and drinks soon.
Our room was next to the reception on the main parking lot and it felt as if we are in a motel.
This property has a great location. We stayed in the bunglow and we could see the volcano from the porch-it was so beautiful! The property was well managed and we were able to walk to restaurants and coffee shops. We loved staying here. Breakfast was great too!
Very clean and great staff. The breakfast was fast and they happily accommodated me seeing as I am vegan.. Pool and Jacuzzi very clean.
Good location
Wonderful
Very clean. Wonderful place. Nice breakfast!
Very clean and friendly hotel. Traditional Costa Rican breakfast included. Overall, great place to stay for the money.
What an amazing view. We had small children and they loved this place. The place is clean, and any little problem or need we had, the staff helped us right away.
Nice location with large souvenir shop
The room was basic and clean. The location is excellent. I wasn't impressed with breakfast; limited choices and bad coffee.
Nice, parking available, good location
The location was great, in between the hot springs and downtown. The pools at the hotel looked nice, but I didn’t have time to try them. The included breakfast was yummy! Clean rooms but the tile floors seemed weirdly oily and slick, both in our room, the room next to us and the porches.
Check in was quick and efficient. It was connected to a store with lots of souvenirs to buy. The breakfast was nice and fresh and the staff members were friendly. There were little sugar ants in the bathroom,
Friendly helpful Staff quiet safe with stunning views of Arenal. Great breakfast with free coffee and juice available all day. Stayed a second night because we liked it budget priced.
Location is great but the room has strong mold smell. i wouldn't recommend.
